Ooh, that's great! How big of a venue are they playing? I wasn't sure if it was just them on the bill or if it was one of their festival dates.

It's quite a big venue and they are heading the Bill (pun intended) so it's not a festival.
Support act : Jeremy's, SAT2D

It says they will sing predominantly in German (if they really do that....woot!!)

By the way the show is not sold out.

Hi rescued!
Alright good to know there are some more ppl form the forum going ^^

@psychic hearts: I don't really know how many people the place can hold.. I mean it's a park so quite a lot. And it's only them + some special guest playing ^^ It's from their open air tour, so no festival ^^

The Goffert is huge! I've been to a few festivals there, I think it can hold up to 15,000 people or so!

But, if it's not sold out, who knows how many people will be there... At least a few thousand, that's for sure.

I am bringing my sister-in-law along instead of Crien, she likes them a little bit, I hope she will like them more after the concert :D

Well I think Crien has stopped being a fan, but don't worry about Betje! She has other reasons for not being able to go! And Megan can't go because she is on a holiday, but she is going to Werchter Boutique.

I haven't noticed any haters, but I am 25 and so I don't hear hater comments from friends at school and stuff, so...

Ok I am back from the concert! :D
It was really great, except really short... Only 1 hour and 15 mins! :?

However, they sang all the songs in German, which was really great! (Setlist below) During 1000 Meere there was a fan action where people blew bubbles, it looked really nice. Unfortunately I was very far from the stage, so my pictures aren't very good. I'm assuming other people will post them when they get home! :D

Bill sounded great. His voice was just breath taking, and he also chatted a lot with the audience, in German! :D And he smiled a LOT when the crowd cheered, and he'd laugh which made him look like such a sweetheart! :D

Georg sang a lot of the songs with Bill, to help Bill not overstrain his voice that much. I guess that is also why the concert was so short, because of Bill's surgery. But I'm telling you: he sounded way better towards the end than at the beginning!

Oh and for all you TC-lovers out there: During Reden, Bill sang to Georg and not to Tom! He sang right to Georg's face... New ideas maybe ;)

And last but not least: the weather... The concert started really cloudy, and during Leb Die Sekunde it rained a bit, but later on the sky cleared and by the end of the concert there were just a few white puffy clouds left. So that was a relief! :D

Here are the songs they played (in order, Ria wrote them down):

1. Ich Brech Aus
2. Der Letzte Tag
3. 1000 Meere
4. Leb Die Sekunde
5. Totgeliebt
6. Wir Sterben Niemals Aus
7. Schrei
8. Schwarz
9. Stich Ins Glück
10. Übers Ende Der Welt
11. Reden
12. Geh!
13. Spring Nicht
14. Wo Sind Eure Hände
15. Durch Den Monsun
16. An Deiner Seite

(Too bad they didn't play Heilig, it's one of my favourites...)

And for those of you who are wondering: My sister-in-law had to agree Bill had charisma on stage, and she liked some of the louder songs, but she didn't become a superfan XD

I deffo will Linn!

And I forgot to say: It took us 1 hour to walk there from the station via the city, we spent about 4,5 hours on the site, mostly standing, and then it took me and my sister-in-law about 1,5 hours of walking to find my bro who came to pick us up.

So my feet are sooooooooo outch!!! :S

It was , yet again, a very good but short concert! The fan action with the bubbles was fantastic, it looked great! Pffff there were soooo many people, and for the first time at a TH concert I didn't feel old (I'm 30).

Didn't like the support acts though..

And 'hooraaaay' for free parking :D

Tokio Hotel plays De Goffert Nijmegen June 14th- Open Air –

Initially I planned to go to the venue really early in an attempt to make it to the first rows to be able to enjoy the concert even more.
Since my hayfever was playing up being on the grass for more than 12 hours didn’t seem like such a good plan, so I changed my plans and decided to meet up with TokioKoos and her sister in law on the Nijmegen trainstation.
We went for a little stroll and decided to have a drink and something to eat and chatted away. When we were walking to the venue, Koos played tour guide (she used to live in Nijmegen) which certainly made the long walk less boring. When we finally arrived at the Goffert around 5, there was still a long queue so we joined the line and it didn’t take more than 15 minutes to get inside.
There were 2 bands opening for TH, nothing special, but we could test our view of the stage and at least there was something happening while we waited for the boys.
They started playing at 8 and Koos and I made a bet as to which song they would open with: She said Ubers Ende diese Welt and I said Ich brech aus,.. I was right :D
Bill wore a white jacket and looked radiant as ever, Tom wore brown which is a rare treat, Georg had a cool shirt (which he kept on unfortunately) and Gustav sported his white shirt as usual.
They didnt have their entire stage with them, just the part with the two stairs which was cool.
Another rare treat : all songs in German! This was the first time I heard Durch den Monsun life, as they usually do that one in English.
Whilst I was enjoying the concert my mind wandered off and I thought of all the wonderful people on this forum who have never (yet) been able to see them life and I made a wish that all of you can one day experience the magic that is TH life and feel truly grateful like I did at that moment.

Being in the Goffert in Nijmegen also had a special meaning for me.
There is a big connection between my father who passed away last year and my love for TH.
My father is born in Nijmegen en my grandfather used to work in the Goffert.

http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/3452/opayt8.th.jpg (http://img260.imageshack.us/my.php?image=opayt8.jpg)
My granddad at work wearing his Goffert hat

And one brief moment whilst Bill sang “Dann wird alles gut” from the song that initiated my passion for TH, in that one brief moment tears were rolling down my cheeks and everything melted together , my father, the ground I stood on, Bill’s voice and smile, those words ...... Dann wird alles gut . Alles gut.
And so it is.

On a side note: The battery of my camera was dead and I couldn’t find the battery recharger so I have no pictures nor videos. However a friend who did manage to get first row, took some awesome pictures which she will send to me.
I will ask her permission to post them here.

Oooh just remembered..

Bill's words really got to me, what he said before Spring Nicht.. Can't exactly remember what he said but I got tears in my eyes (my friend committed suicide back in 2003) and was like 'don't cry, don't cry'.

TokioKoos

You could cry! I had some tears in my eyes during Spring Nicht and 1000 Meere. :)

And we met loads of girls on the way out with red eyes from crying.
