I can't get that phrase out of my head. Means 'Are you crazy [lit. cracked] or what?' and Tom or Bill used it in the 'Du kranke Sau!' fight.

Well.. what I would like to have translated in English isn't quite small.. but I'll post it here and hopefully someone will help me ^^

Here it is:

"80 Mädchen campen vor der Halle

Das war Nina aus Süddeutschland. Sagt sie jedenfalls. Schon am Dienstag vergangener Woche ist die 15-Jährige gekommen. „Da war hier noch niemand.” Mittlerweile sind hier rund 80 Mädchen, die viele kleine Zelte aufgestellt haben. Zelte, auf deren Wände die Bewohner Liebesschwüre und Komplimente gekritzelt haben. „Bill, du bist so geil.” Bill ist der Sänger der Band.


Das Leben auf dem Parkplatz ist karg. „Weißbrot zum Frühstück, zum Mittagessen und zum Abendbrot”, sagt Melanie (21) aus Nürnberg. Meist mit Marmelade. „Ist am billigsten.” Es gibt keinen Strom und kein fließendes Wasser. Aber Tipps, wo man umsonst duschen kann. Oder wo man sein Handy aufladen kann. Damit man immer für die Eltern erreichbar ist. „Sonst hätte ich nicht so früh fahren dürfen”, sagt Julia (15) aus Hamburg. „Meine Mutter ist sowieso nicht begeistert von der Aktion.” Kaum eine Mutter ist begeistert von der Aktion. Aber irgendwann haben sie ihren Widerstand aufgegeben. „Man muss nur hartnäckig genug sein”, sagt Julia und alle drum herum nicken. „Oder ganz viel weinen.”

Langeweile kommt nicht auf

Die Tage sind lang. „Aber nicht langweilig”, beteuert Lilly. Weil man sich viel zu erzählen hat. Über „Tokio Hotel” im Allgemeinen und Bill im Besonderen. Entspannt liegen die Mädchen auf Iso-Matten und Schlafsäcken und ruhen sich aus. Ausruhen nennt sich heute aber anders: „Wir chillen viel.”

Immerhin, „gechillt” wird international. In einer Ecke des Platzes wird Polnisch gesprochen, in anderen Französisch, Englisch, Italienisch und Schwedisch. Selbst ein Japaner ist gesichtet worden. „Direkt aus Tokio”, haben ein paar deutsche Mädchen gehört und finden das „irgendwie witzig”. Auch wenn der Asiate dort keinen Beherbergungsbetrieb betreibt."

That's part of an article, right? If you have the whole thing and a translation for it you can post it here in our "written" section as a new thread. Also please post the link with it (as source). That was Nina from Southern Germany. [That’s what] she says at least. So one is always within reach for the parents. “Otherwise I wouldn’t have been allowed to leave that early”, Julia (15) from Hamburg says. “My mother isn’t thrilled about this activity as it is.” Barely any mother is thrilled about this activity. But at one point they just gave up their resistance. “One only needs to be persistent enough”, Julia says and everybody around nods [in agreement]. “Or cry a lot.”

Boredom does not come up

The days are long. “But not boring”, Lilly reassures. Because there is a lot to talk about. About “Tokio Hotel” in general and Bill in particular. Relaxed the girls lie on thermo mats and sleeping bags and rest. Though, to rest is called something else nowadays: “We `chill` a lot.”

Anyway, to “chill” is done internationally. In one corner of the location Polish is spoken, in another one French, English, Italian and Swedish. Even a Japanese [guy] was sighted. “Directly from Tokyo” some German girls learned and think that is “somehow funny”. Even though the Asian does not run an accommodation facility over there.

well i'm not french and i donno french but i translated it on a french-english dictionary and this is what came out " bandage sound strangely affected which makes Bill face up a playback … " <-------the hole sentense and déréglée means unbalanced here's the dictionary http://translation2.paralink.com/ it doesnt translate some stuff but all and all it does a kinda good job

hmm...that's really difficult in this context
zerfressen means to canker sth.
but in this context it means that the fear makes you sick inward so in germany one say "the fear cankers me"

I know a bit of grammar but I probably don't know enough to get this..

Why is it In die Nacht (the song), and not In der Nacht?

It's about the context, Pipa.

"in der Nacht" is more in the sense of "during the night". Whereas, "in die Nacht" is like "into the night" which in the case of the song they're using to describe that they want to go/walk into the night, side by side together. They want to make it through the night, the darkness together.

No, that's not how it works..

That's not the only way it works. Articles also change with their position in a sentence and the noun's role. So, for example, 'der' changes to 'den' when it's a direct object. And so on, and so forth.
