There is a tip: Just go to your PM settings and set it so you can only receive PMs from moderators and your friends.

ive been getting theese messages saying i have viruses detected on my computer. help i dont know what to do are they for real? i dunno what firewall we use as my mum dosent know either

Oh you should never believe something like that. Virusscanners are updated and work from your computer, not from a website and definitely not from a TH forum! Download one of those 'virusscanners' and you are downloading a virus.

What TokioKoos said is true, don't worry much about them, ignore and delete them. Unfortunately there's not much we can do about it, but you can do this: go to your control panel -> Settings&Options -> Edit options -> Messaging & Notification -> Private messaging and tick the following option:

You may limit the receipt of private messages to just moderators and your contacts. Other members who attempt to send messages to you will be told that you have disabled private messaging.
Receive Private Messages only from Contacts and Moderators

If you wish to interact with other forum members, you can either add them as a friend and send them private messages, or you could post visitor messages.

I keep getting spam/"important messages" saying I have posted/sent mail that is spam!! I want to delete my account to stop this but I dont know how! Someone help please.. :(

You can do this:

I just didn't think because the other forum I am on has much less users on it and I also think that the fact that your account has to be approved there also makes it easier for them.
But you can't stop a TH fan that wants to come on here..

a difference between this forum and
the other one I am on.. The other
forum IS their jobs which they get
paid for, so being on all the time
is what they have to do. And then
they do indeed have the time to
approve or decline users that is
trying to apply. I wouldn't want
to do that... And in some threads
there, your posts has to be
approved also before posting
because the Moderators and
Admin of that forum is there to
help, yes, but nothing stops no
one to read through a few pages
to see if your problem hasn't been
solved yet.. lol

Anyhow, I will stop spamming about
them now :p
