That's insane. It actually makes me sad.

I think its horrible how the bodyguards had to literally grab the boys and push them through that mess. Someone could have been severely hurt. I think a bodyguard had to pick Bill up and drag him at one point. :shock1: Either that or Bill almost fell and the bodyguard have to save him. I can't tell.

I kinda like M&G videos and kinda don't.

I like them because I love interactions between fans and the band.
and sometimes I don't like them because I think they (the fans) make the boys uncomfortable.

My favorite one is "The ludo" one, I actually love the way Tom respond the fan. (I mean, why in the world you ask somebody to say "I love you" to a girl he doesn't know :laugh: ). I also show the video to my mom and she was like "Way to go Tom!!! That was the right answer!!" :laugh:

I don't think it's that they don't like talking and smiling, more like when Georg and Gustav do these signings/meet and greets, they know that most of the girls want to see Tom and Bill. It's not very nice when people have their photo taken with the band you're in and choose to stand between their favourite members, leaving you on the edge like a prop.

I agree that part of me likes M&G videos, but orther part doesn't. I don't really like the ones when they take pictures, but signinmgs are okay. I feel like the boys are often more relaxed when doing that signimng line than on pictures. Pictures are mostly very awkward.

I don't think they throw them away literally, but I don't think many of the gifts end up to stay with them. I think it's a common thing among celebs to donate the stuffed animals etc. They get so many presents all the time.

Never been to one and never will. I'm too scared to go just because of those dang CFFs. Plus there's really no interaction like there was in 2007. All TH does is line you up, sign whatever **** you got, and the option of taking your picture with them. Then after that they shove you out the door.

It usually take 10 minutes to complete a meet and greet. I'm not a really big fan of them just becuase the lack of interaction. Sure TH acknowledges you, but they don't say anymore than 15 words to you. Also it's really hard to go to a meet and greet. If you're planning to go to one, your chances are pretty low. Sorry.

Agreed. Security pushes you away (in most M&G vids I've seen) and your with TH for what, a minute? It's messed up... TH fans shouldn't be treated like that...

Yep... I honestly don't want to pay to see a band for 5 minutes. Or even win a M&G because you're not with the guys for 5 minutes... In the Zimmer live DVD, there's a clip of fans backstage getting pics, autographs and even a chat... Now CFFs seem to have ruined EVERY fans chances of them being lucky enough to do something like that..

Its cus we weren't allowed to, a woman who works with them told us about how it was going to happen and what we weren't allowed to do.
If you compare M&G's from 3-4 years ago to those now...their is ALLOT of difference. they do less and less with the fans hahaha xD strange??

After this M&G that i was in...i dont think i have seen another one where they shake hands with their fans.

Hmm I'm just looking through some of these links and I dunno, for some reason, Meet and Greets annoy me. I mean, why anyone would want to go to one baffles me. There isn't actually any meeting going on and certainly not much greeting. If anyone's noticed, the boys barely speak to the fans as they hurriedly sign autographs, barely respond when the fans thank them and then stand stiffly and rather stoic when they have their pictures taken. I dunno, if I went to one of these things, I'm pretty sure it would change my perception of the band.

And then you have some girls downright molesting them...I mean, that could be why they do these things hurriedly - to avoid having their personal boundaries crossed by sex crazed girls...I mean c'mon, what if you were somewhere and some stranger decided that they were obsessed with you because of what you did and decided that they wanted to press themselves all up against you and have someone snap a photo of the two of you....mmm dunno about yall but I would most certainly pass.

To me a 'Meet and Greet' would be something like a mixer, the band interacting with a handful of lucky fans who had won a raffle or something. It would be warm, full of small chat and questions of course, autographs, photos, maybe a game of some kind, but most importantly light interaction. The boys complain constantly that they can't hang out or do anything with friends or whatever and I imagine that a proper Meet and Greet would sort of fill that void.

Looking at the vids, the boys seem like sideshow attractions what with the girls all breathing and squealing and things and them standing there moving robotic down the line. I dunno, it just doesn't sit right with me. I'm not trying to put down any fans or crush their hopes and dreams of attending one of these so called Meet and Greets but if you sit back, remove the boys, and think about it....it really is like standing outside the hotel or arena waiting for them to arrive with just fewer people....

It is true, but it is also the only thing possible right now. If there has been more interaction years ago, it is gone. The boys are either bored, scared or both in those situations and it shows. Let's be honest: they don't seem to be too excited about it - and when you do it thousand times, who could blame them? The same procedure with only changing faces? It is their work time and they are working there. It's not their private time and M&G's are not supposed to be "hanging out with real boys" - as much as I hope it would be. It is a twisted relationship and I don't know who to blame of it. I wish for more interaction, but I don't know how it could happen in a near future - not after the craziness they've been part of.

I think the biggest reward in M&G is the physical closeness with the band members and for many; it is enough.

I have to disagree of M&G being a substitute of free time relationship & experiences. It can never be. I think when/if the boys want a free time interaction with friends and people, it is impossible, when the people involved are a) them as the roles of Tokio Hotel and b) fans. Even if fans are "sane" ones, everyone is still wrapped in a role system of idols & fans. They have to have a work attitude there and fans can't see them without that context, no matter how much they try to fool themselves. No, I don't think idol/fan interaction can ever replace an equal interaction between friends, no matter what is the situation.

As I've said before, I feel uncomfortable to see people climbing on the boys. Surely they don't enjoy it either. I wish people would respect their personal space. They tolerate it, but I don't think they like it.

I never said that this was a M&G was, I was just saying that what it sounds like it should be. A mixer of some kind or at least something where there's a bit more interaction between the band and the fans. I mean, some people have been fans for years and I'm sorry but no body can convince me that the all of five seconds it takes for the boys to sign an autograph and then the even shorter time it takes for someone to snap a photo has to be enough for any fan. Shouldn't they be granted at least five minutes to talk to the people that they devote a piece of their lives to? Ask some questions? Shake a hand? The fact that they are ushered about, shoved in some cases....I mean why would anyone want to subject themselves to that?

But then, yeah if half of those girls weren't trying to push up on the guys, telling themselves that if they touch Bill or Tom in just the right place maybe they'd be looked at twice or given that special 'eye rape' look or that 'lip ring tongue flick' smirk or something, I dunno. And then, I'm reading comments on youtube from one M&G where a fan was blantantly stroking Bill's chest, and another pounced on Bill....and all the fans on the comments where proclaiming how much they wished that was them and they want to touch Bill and Tom and all kinds of stuff and I'm sitting to myself thinking, Okay when did it happen that just because someone records some pretty songs and performs them live it gives anyone the right to molest, hug, or kiss them against their will or without their permission....and when I see stuff like this, comments like this....I feel bad because I'm going this is probably why the boys can't interact with their fans because some girls are so desperate for a TH fix that they will lose their minds, decency, and home training for a scant few seconds to be in the boys' vicinity and mess everything up by going a step too far....and then I get disgusted and ****** with myself because I am a fan and certainly don't want to fall into that category.

But any way, this is getting off topic. In my opinion M&G are useless and if fans are so desperate for those short seconds in which apparently 'all their dreams have come true' that's their business, but I could never do this to myself....it would probably shatter all my Tokio Hotel dreams....

I wish it wasn't so. I wish there was real interaction, but I think we and them and everyone need to breath for a long time, before things can be seen differently. The boys are obviously either disgusted, scared or something of how people behave around them. Years they'vce been trerated like this, so no wonder they are not willing to get any closer or let anyone to really reach for them. All of this is sad. I kind of understand why people are so desperate and why it is so important to be close, but it doesn't make it right.

When they are molested time after time after time after time, no wonder they are not willing to get closer or even see the fans as potential sane humanbeings. It is very sad for everyone.
