i will have been a fan for five years in december sometime around christmas thats when i was put in christian academy lol

More or less from around February 2009. I'm not excactly sure, because I never payed attention to the month, but I'm prtetty certain it was by the end of February. (and the darksider from the very beginning, of course)

I was closeted fan at first, but slowly I've come out of my TH-closet and these days most of the people I'm interacting with regularly know about it.

No intentions to move on anytime soon. :smile:

Um five years, give or take. I remember watching Schrei on TV when the single was released here. :) Although tbh I don't remember if Monsun was released here as well, I didn't watch TV that much then. :(

I don't know if fan is the right word for me. I've always like them, since Monsoon came out in 2007, I remember everytime a single was released I liked it, and I knew things about them because in 2007 I saw a special on a music channel and I have an excellent memory, but I got attached while I was watching THTv. I had a lot of fun with it! It was around October 2009. :D

Like Justie, I've known them long before I became a fan. When Monsoon came out here in 2005, I found them funny, tbh. They were cute little boys, but they weren't taken seriously at all and weren't played on the radio (they still aren't but that's another story). Plus, I was 22 and they were 15, so I wasn't all that interested in them as people. I only started to really like them last year, I think. Before, I thought their music was good and everything, but I wasn't as interested in them as I am now. THTV got me hooked, mostly and I also really liked the 100% TH documentary.

Well I remember I got REALLY hooked on the music when Rette Mich came out. I started blubbering when I saw the videoclip for the first time, even if I didn't understand a word of German. :laugh: Same with Spring Nicht.

However the first album I bought was Zimmer. I remember like it was yesterday. :grin:

I also knew that there was a "teen sensation" band called Tokio Hotel and that teenage girls went all crazy, but I never paid any attention to it. By that time, I was deepluy hooked in underground-ish rap music (especially Finnish), so I didn't even listen to any radio or watch music channels, because they didn't play the music I listened to.

Then on a one boring day for certain reasons I remembered the band existing and searched first the pics and later YT and listenmed Monsoon from 2007 EMA. It took me that much top get hooked completely. And yes, just like with many of you, THTV was the final strike and there has been no turning back. I didn't only like their musiv, but I fell in love with them as persons, their characters and what we saw in THTV. It all happened quite fast after all.

I admit being a bad person at first and downloading albums like Zimmer & Scream etc., but when Humanoid came out, I started to buy and after that I've bought all the videos/albums I've downloaded as well + others.

Ive been a fan since early (like January or February) 2009. So its almost been 2 years. I really loved them at the beginning then i sorta forgot about them. Then about June ish 2009 i fell in LOVE with them. I think thats because i found this forum lol then i creeped on the forum until about December and i got an account and now im a huge fan!!! Im sure ill be a fan until there end.

Has anyone else kinda feel like they have been loosing touch with TH and this forum lately? Since there is nothing going on. There are rarely alot of people on the forum at once. I rarely come on once a day. Is this happening to anyone else?

There was nothing going on before the EMA's. Only Bills commercial thing. Everyone was excited when they won the EMA, but now its sorta died down. There are a few new interviews. They're not very detailed, but I think most of them have something worth commenting on. And take Tom's Blog. That's being updated nearly every day, but hardly anybody is weighing in on whether they like the videos or not.

I understand what it means when påeople say that there is nothing much to discuss, because there isn't really. Same ol', same ol'. TH has decreased info of their personal lifes a lot abnd I think it affects. We get only planned interviews with sam,e answers and professional (ish) statements, but not things like THTV. There is only so much to discuss in those same things.

But then again, we can all affect on that. It is boring to talk to yourself, but sometimes you have to do it to bring others up to discussion.

It'll be good if we want it to be :)

i've been a fan for 2 years and a half....wow...yes i'm old! hahaha. I like Th because they look different, produce different songs (specially the lyrics) and so sorry for what i'm about to say but i'm sooo glad that they're not americans...sorry my lovely american friends but i'm sick and tired of listening only to music made in USA (yeh miley cyrus, jonas brother, selena gomez...yuck yuck yuck!). I think that listening to TH has changed my life because i'm breaking, let's just call them 'rules' of the music that is popular here in my country. When a dude asks me 'what's that?' i say 'that's TH'...he/she stays like 'ah?'.....yea that makes me feel different (well i'm always being different) and i like that. Bill, Tom, George and Gustav have talent and they can make and produce good music.
