4:44 pm Corections UP

Hi Everbody, this is my first post on this forum. So, anyway, I heard this on youtube this morning and it had that woman's voice going through it and I was trying to figure out wat Bill was singing. So I felt up for the task and I saw how some people posted lyrics with the song on youtube but I wasn't hearing what they wrote eventhough, they said they were offical lyrics so I tried my hand at it. So don't fuss if its not perfect, ok.

Hurricanes and Suns

Love is a game
For everyone
But this
Is you and me

We had a thousand lies
in one
We had hurricanes and suns
Hey
Dont you know
We've just begun

(2x)Come pain, come hurt
See the halo
ha-ha halo
(2x)Hey, Hey, Hey

The first
In the world
That understands
Are the last that feel relief
It's a melancholy time (or, It's a matter of coming time- alt. lyrics)
But together we'll be fine
Hey
Lets go with a smile :-)
Into the, Into the end

(2x)Come pain, come hurt
See the halo
Ha-ha halo
(2x) Hey, Hey, Hey
See the halo
Ha-ha halo
(2x)Hey, hey, hey
See the HALO
Ha-ha halo

Till the sun wont shine
'Till the end of time
Believe in Love ( or, Were moving up-alt. lyrics)
In the halo
HALO

(3x)Life and Death
See the Halo
(3x)Life and Death
See the Halo

Halo, Halo
Come Pain, Come Hurt
See the halo, halo

PAIN ( or Hey alt. lyrics)
Follow the Halo
HURT ( or Hey)
PAIN (or HEy)
Follow the Halo
HURT ( or Hey)

Till the sun wont shine
Till the end of time
See the halo, halo, HALO
Till the sun wont shine
Till the end of time
See the halo, halo
HALO

Come Pain, Come Hurt
See the Halo
Ha-ha Halo
Come Pain, Come Hurt
See the Halo
Ha-ha Halo
Hey, Hey, Hey

Maybe it's just me. I mean i did just come from my women's church retreat but this song has a lot of spirituality going through it. Kind of like Monsoon. Did anyone else get that vibe? By the end of the song I'm singing to the top of my lungs and people, I can not sing, but who cares. I love the song and cant wait for the CD to come out.

Corrections coming. I just heard the version with the woman speaking through the middle of the lyrics. And don't you know that everytime she did that I heard wrong. Just a few alteration. Will be up shortly. Oh, I like to give credit to where I got the lyrics. Some I think are up for dispute but i think its for the most part right, you decide. I heard it on youtube on Lakse95 channel, the full versionn without interuptions. It's the Cherry Tree Radio Full Version

Hello,
Thanks for posting. You know, I listened to this song over and over and I think I found elements I like and some that I dont care for. One thing is that eventhough I know they are experimenting with new sounds, I'm over the whole electronic voice thing. It makes it hard to understand what he is saying. It's almost like this was a song rejected for the Humaniod CD or like it is not finished, still raw which is unusal for them.
My favorite part of the song is actually the end, like the last two minutes I guess, because it just sounds like him singing his heart out. That's the Bill that I think we all love. Overall, I like the song. It's not my favorite, that would be BLACK, Down On You, In Your Shadow and Phantom Rider for the momment, anyway. I love when he sings real loud Follow the Halo. I'm right with you Bill

Hi,

I wasn't sure if what I heard was correct which is the lyrics that say( its a melancholy time) or if it was the person on youtube whose lyrics where right so I put both on and let you guys decide. Mine might be wrong but that's what my old ears heard and still hear.
Thank you for the complement on my lyric posting. I'm still trying to figure out the lyrics to Down on you. There are so many versions to the lyrics to that song it is not even funny, well, it's kinda funny :D

I had my go at the lyrics over at THA and so I'm gonna post it here. There are just minor differences from what you have. This is just what I hear when I listen to it.

Lust is a game for everyone
But this is you and me
We had a thousand lives in one
We had hurricanes and suns
Hey, don't you know we've just begun

Come pain
Come hurt
See the halo, ha-ha-halo
Come pain
Come hurt
See the halo, ha-ha-halo
hey, hey, hey (hey!)
hey, hey, hey

The first in the world that understand
are the last that feel relief
It's a melancholy time
But together we'll be fine
Hey, let's go with a smile into the, into the end

Come pain
Come hurt
See the halo, ha-ha-halo
Come pain
Come hurt
See the halo, ha-ha-halo
hey, hey, hey
hey, hey, hey
See the halo, ha-ha-halo
hey, hey, hey
hey, hey, hey
See the halo (hey), ha-ha-halo

'til the sun won't shine
'til the end of time
We're moving up, in the halo, halo!

Alive and dead
Alive and dead
Alive and dead
See the Halo

Alive and dead
Alive and dead
Alive and dead
See the Halo

Halo
Halo

Halo, halo...
Come pain
Come hurt
See the halo, halo!
(hey!)
Follow the halo
(hey!) 2x
Follow the halo
(hey!)

'til the sun won't shine
'til the end of time
See the halo, halo halo
'til the sun won't shine
'til the end of time
See the halo, halo halo!

Come pain, (hey!)
See the halo ha-ha-halo
Come hurt (hey!)

See the halo ha-ha-halo
Hey hey hey

And some of us over there also depicted some parts of the meaning of the song. Lemme bring it over:

There has been a lot of talk about the new song, why is it called Hurricanes and Suns, and what’s with all the halos?

Our lovely Zowye makes sense of it all:

"Well I see some sense for the song to have Hurricanes and Suns adding the halo to it. Look at what a beautiful sight Hurricane Bill made in the skies while passing through East Coast. A perfect thing to look up to after hurricanes but depending in where you live makes it rare or common. The sun beaming light that is reflected in the crystals that are arrange in heterogeneous forms the reflections from the sun-rays. And this crystals are found in the upper level of the cirrus clouds. The most common halo seen in cirrus cloud related to a hurricane is the 22′ radius."

So basically it means, even after a hurricane of troubles and problems, the sun will always shine afterwards and there will be a silver lining or a halo if you will that will help you through into the end. "Let's go with a smile into the end."

Understand it a bit better now?

Hi,

It's possible. I swear I think I hear something different almost everytime but the meaning doesn't change from the differences that I hear. Strange.

Hi,

Since I'm having another insomnia session, I thought I might tackle the meaning of the song. I haven't had much sleep so bare with me. I'm not saying that without a doubt that this is what the song means but I guess I'll give my interpretation in a minute or two.

Monsoon is a seasonal shift in the prevailing wind direction, that ususally brings with it different kinds of weather. On the onset of a monsoon, torrential rains, severe thunderstrorms, and cyclone's (HURRICANE'S) can also accure.

Hurricanes produce strong winds and heavy rains. They can also produce high waves, damaging storm surge and can spawn tornadoes.

The Sun is a near perfect sphere whose energy (sunlight) supports almost all life on Earth and drives Earth's climate and weather. A star.

A Halo is a thin ring of light that sometimes appears around the sun or the moon.

I believe that Hurricanes and Suns is a continuation of Through the Monsoon.

Through the Monsoon
Beyond the World
To the end of Time
Where the Rain won't Hurt
Fighting the Storm
Into the Blue
And when I loose myself I think of You
Together we'll be Running somewhere New
And nothing can hold me back from You
Through the Monsoon
Just me and You

The song Through the Monsoon came out when Bill was about 16 (german version) and 17 for the english version. He and the rest of TH where teenagers. Now, for Hurricans and Suns, they are grown men but they still have things to go through.

I break down my sections like the lyrics on page one are broken down.

Section 1- Basically "this" isn't a game or hobby for them. "This" is what they have worked so hard for. All the touring, interviewing, meet & greets, photo shoots have led them to "this" point in their lives.

Section 2- A thousand lies in one makes me think of the press and the internet. So many things are half truths and out right lies about TH. All the fake, photo shopped images of them. So they have hurricanes and suns. They still go though storms and try to see the bigger picture. They are stars like the sun and they shine despite the bad things they go through.
They are still young (only 21) but they seem very wise in their years.

Section 3- Instead of Running through the monsoon, Bill sings come pain, come hurt. It's like as a man he is saying Bring it, I can take it. I'm going to follow the halo, the light. They know that the bad stuff is coming. It doesn't surprise them anymore and they can't run from it, so they meet it head on. By focusing on the Halo, the light instead of the dark, maybe the opposite to "Dark side of the Sun".

Section 4- TH has music for their fans, to uplift us, and make us happy, To fill our emotional void but who fills theirs. They give so much of themselves to make us happy but what about when they are sad, mad melancholy or out of time. They have each other. They have since they were 13 years old and they go through it with a smile on their faces.

See section 3 for section 5

Section 6 -They will follow the light until there is no more light.

Section 7- This is life or death for them. This is their jobs. There is so much responsibility on their shoulders. There is always a fear that something will go wrong and get in the way of their dreams. for instance, Bill's throat surgery, Gustav night club attack, Tom and his family being stalked by those crazy girls, and who knows what Georg may or may not be going through.
In addition, in 2009 when people were saying that Bill was anorexic was around the same time that Tom was facing jail time for hitting that girl who was stalking him and his family. I don't thing Bill was thin for fashion's sake I think he was stressed out. He looked so fragile. The twins often say that they can't be without each other. Can you imagine what Bill must have been going through at the thought of his brother going to jail. A forced separation. I'm sure they are glad to have that drama behind them. A year later and what a difference it's made. Look at Bill in the Peta ad. He looks so good and Tom is beautiful as always.

Section 8- He sings softly but its like he is bracing himself for the pain and hurt that he knows is coming. He's not running or hiding. He and TH are going to follow the light no matter what and then he feels it but he keeps going.

Until time stops or the sun doesn't shine TH are going to keep going.

Wow! lots of interesting ideas here.
I here this song connected to lot of other songs. like they all connected but each one is different story.
Come pain Come hurt is like - Pain of love. ( come love ) Halo is - connected to Shadow...-shine - DSOTS maybe;
I have my favotite part in each song. It starts in the middle-end of each song . THE messege!
Like Hurracanes and suns connected with Monsoon . yes. Yet in Scriaming in my fav. part where Bill was singning : Scriamming on top of the world but I dont think I can be heared by you (4) I LOVE IT On concert he sang Monsoon part insted.

It is a catchy song and it does get stuck in your head, especially the Halo ha-ha Halo part. I think the songs are connected too. The first one that came to my mind was Monsoon but I think your right about the others.

I'm still trying to understand why the song is called "Hurricanes and Suns"... It should have been called "Halo"... then again, they probably don't want to get confused with Beyonce. lol.

I saw the video just now. I like the idea of the video... the history of the band going in reverse. But 1, how does that relate to the song? And 2, ugh! I wanted to see a new video that wasn't just their concerts (and previous videos I've already seen).

Still LOVE this song though. It should have went on the album.

Hey guys

In all honesty to me the lyrics are coming from how Bill feels? Like he believes in finding a soul mate, And that they will get through everything together no matter what, For instance the Hurricane (Can be a rough thing passing through) And the halo meanin that they are happy and they will go tillt he end of time. Listening to the song over and over again makes me more sure that it's Bill trying to call out his soul mate?
