G's are probably in Germany, but I don't think the situation eventually differs so much from earler. Humanoid was mostly written and recorded in USA as well.

I don't think TH will go back to Zimmer, but not necessary take directly the same direction with Humanoid. Experimenting, experimenting. I think the growing up of the boys will be (again) heard on the album. Just like the atmosphere and expression was different between Schrei, Zimmer and Humanoid.

I guess G's are enjoying their time in Germany? I think recording is a bit exaggerated to say yet, so I think they are more like trying things, writing, experimentinmg and improvising at thisa point?

Nonetheless, I think the fandom needs this kind of news at this point.

Makes me wonder if the tweet is a reward for WLTH fan action. CTR knows about it and that means TH knows about it. Wouldn't be too far fetched, would it?

In my lil fairy land, the boys/management KNOW about the TT worldwide and did this just to touch base with the fans...At least I hope that's why we are seeing it...I think everyone should keep it up and we'll get more news!!

In one of the InRock interviews they said they had a new studio specially built in Hamburg. That sounds to me like they're going to be there a lot more than we think.

It says it was posted 25 minutes ago to FB and my post to this forum was 1.26pm my time, which is 12.26pm German time.

The FB update happened around noon - +/- 15 minutes German time.

I think they're going to do both. Humanoid wasn't only recorded in the US; they recorded some of it in Germany too.
The main reason was not to leave their mom I think and they did a lot in their homestudio but that is not a problem anymore.

Drummers usually have one place to keep their drums at as well. It's a b*tch to move them lol so they are usually in the studio.

Word on that one. Setting up and tearing down drums every day is a pain in the butt. Plus they take up so much room and blah blah. If I were Stav I would definitely want to have a set place I could leave my kit so I could just come in and get started instead of coming in and spending at least half an hour making sure everything is set up right.

Well... hmmm. I think the boys are in LA and the Tweeter is in Germany. Because of the wording- "tonight"- which makes sense if they were in LA. Because then It would have been "tonight" in germany, while it was the middle of the night here (Cali).

How long was Humanoid delayed for?

Aight, January 5th, first mentioned release date: March 30th.
A week later it was claimed for April 10th.
17 days later it was a vague 'late spring'.
About two months pass (putting us in March) and CT starts tweeting about Bill putting down vocals.
March 6th: 'working to get the album finished up as soon as possible'
March 9th: 3 songs left to go.
April 10th: Amazon puts up a release date of June 26th.
April 15th: Cherrytree puts forth an August release date.
And then there were stalkers. :(
May 24th: No album until September
Chantelle nonsense goes here
June 16th: First songs leak.
TOM'S BLOG
July 17th: Martin gives a 'totally for sure' to the September release date.

Man, I do NOT even miss that whole shenanigans at all.

It doesn't matter if the person tweeted from out of space for that matter. But I am ready to believe that whoever tweeted/updated FB was in Germany. It was tweeted/updated at noon German time and it talked about going to to record "tonight", which wouldn'tr make sense if theyt were in L.A and going to bed. Then it would have been "tomorrow". Only for Germans it was "tonight" at the time of the tweet.

But just to say it one more time:

FB and Twitter were updated at noon German time.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are just starting. They seem to have taken their time on things during the last half of 2010 ja if they are in the middle of Japan right now, they might focus most to that and only after Japan to work properly. I don't think they've ever said any exact time for going to studio? More of talking about focusing on Japan and then go to studio?

September? I HOPE, but I'm not convinced. When they recorded Humanoid, they were in studio already at the end of the fall 2008 and they had songs written by that (remember THTV episode of Bill humming Alien?). If they are just starting, I find it hard to believe that they could pull it out in 8 months.

I'm sorry for beingh cynical, but if Humanoid took them a year, would this take this much less? I hope it will.

I have been waiting for Coldplays new album for a while now..And they are really cute with their website..They don't blog, but have a roadie do it..He does his best to keep everyone informed, and shares what he can..
If the fans load Interscope, Twitter, and Facebook, then the band may feel the desire to keep us informed a bit..
It's all in good fun!

I totally remember this nonsense. Gave me headache. Let's hope this doesn't happen again with the upcoming album.

I'm sorry for beingh cynical, but if Humanoid took them a year, would this take this much less? I hope it will.
I don't even have a problem with it coming out in January/February 2012 so long as they keep us even slightly in the loop.

But maybe it could take less time if they make songs that are less electronic and therefore need fewer effects? *hoping*

This September? That sounds reasonable. That's plenty of time for them, let's just hope they get their butts in the studio and really work on it. And if they want to survive, they'll need to do a tour. And also get some serious promoting/advertising going on (especially in the US). It's not enough to just release an album and call it good 'til the next year. They won't be getting anywhere that way. *sigh*

I just hope they learned their lesson and will try something different this time. Be smarter this time.

hey... if their new songs will sound like screamin/hurricanes and suns everything is gonna be just fine. and yes, they NEED to do a tour. but i trust them...
