Experiences with Tokio Hotel in School

Hey!
Many of us still go to school, and I was wondering if any of you had any sort of experience of Tokio Hotel in school.
One of mine was I played Monsoon in Literature class, we were doing poetry unit, and we analyzed it and she put up the lyrics in the smart board and all the class could see. And I was happy that the teacher liked it! But she thought Bill was a girl -.- and she said it took an awful lot of ppl to write the song......

Our german teacher brought us all on a trip all to do with german music (it was run by the Goethe-Institut or something) and a big thing of Tokio Hotel was there with full size paintings of Bill and Tom and stuff and tvs playing all Tokio Hotel songs :-)
It was really cool and i made one of my best friends a fan from that day! :lol:

I had no experiences,but two weeks ago I was watching a poor girl screaming to a boy : "Bill is not girl !"...They know she gets angry,that's why they say Bill's a girl,but she doesn't realise and spends her time by arguing with them :)

Okay, so I live on a pretty small island full of ignorant people. So I expected no-one to know who TH was. Then in my last year of high school, I was drawing out the name "Tokio Hotel" in these 3D letters that I do and the girl sitting behind me was like "I LOVE THEM!"... and then she stole the drawn letters.

Last year, for my Literature Major course, we had to read a story that we'd written ourselves to our class. I read chapter 3 of my story Baby Blues (which is on this forum) and afterwards this girl came up to me and asked if the Bill and Tom in the 'story' were the twins from Tokio Hotel. I was like "YES! Someone else knows them!"

for example:

Class : and your heart's like an engine...

Class: Beyond the world.... :laugh:

and our teachers will just laugh,
there was one time i remembered... our professor was giving us a project, then we reacted cos we hate projects haha we had our usual "reasons" & said we are so busy.... we have no time,. you know, the usual excuses, and we even said.. "miss we dont have enough money to buy a marker, so we cant make the project" :roll: then she replied - "ohreally? you dont have money to buy ONE marker, but youve got a lot of money to buy Tokio Hotel merchandise and albums,!?! "

i heard a few jocks (who love hardcore, metal stuff) say how awesome tokio hotel is, and some girls said the lead singer is gay.. so my first impression from that moment was, 'hmm.. is this band an emo screamo band that has a gay lead singer..? 0.o'
i try to make my friends listen to them, but they only like a few songs.. oh well good enough :P
it's really hard to make my friends admit they like them D: my friend (who is a boy) thinks that tom is extremely cool :)

To be honest, I don't know if anyone even knows who they are at my school. Everyone seems to be into the top 40 hits stuff (:roll:) or super underground music.
No one really talks about their favorite bands here--I get the impression that the only people who do that are "weird;" that's just how everyone makes them out to be. It's really stupid actually.

Most people just talk about work, school, sex, or what party they're going to this weekend. That or video games and anime. Music, art, or anything else is off limits it seems unless it's a class you're taking. Or if you're a geek/weirdo (again :roll:).

I do find myself sitting and wondering about some people though. I'll see someone who has band t-shirts on of artists from cherrytree or something and I'll wonder if maybe there's a secret :cffgrin: waiting to get out :laugh:

All in all, though, TH is pretty much a personal thing for me--my friends have never like my tastes in music (it's so varied) so it's normal for me.

I want to post on this, even though i dont really have really a big experience with them In school, more like after school lol.

There's this guy who is really close like a brother, although i barely talk to him and he's a total idiot now, (but still like my stupid lil brother... by 7 days! lol)
And at the time, (mid-7th grade, im in 10th now) He was dating my Bff, and we were at our theater Play rehearsal and we were resting, sitting in the commons on the risers, and no one else was there, and i saw Durch den monsun On his Ipod. I was like OMG YOU LIKE TOKIO HOTEL?!?!? And then we ended up singing and harmonizing to it, and whenever we hung out we'd listen to tokio hotel and sing together (at school)

other than that, not many people here in the northwest (seems like it) know of them and those who do absolutely hate them. My bff taylor likes them, but doesnt love em. My friends make fun of it too, and my sister constantly ridicules me about them. She calls them Tokio Fag-tel and Twincest Hotel D:< Pisses me off!

I only tell my closest friends I like them. I know i shouldnt care what people think but i hide it. I'd never be brave enough to present something in class or decorate my school stuff with them.

My german teacher had been to Germany and she bought Zimmer 483. When she got back, she played one of the songs (I picked it.. Vergessene Kinder) and we got the lyrics, and we were going to figure out them and what the song was about.
Then one other time, my friend convinced her to buy the Bravo Tokio Hotel special and she handed out the posters to us fans... I got a big one.
But in the end, the other girls stopped liking them and I got like 5 folders of posters anyway ;)

And my big sister had to talk to a german man in her german class, and they talked about news that was picked out, and then they got to talk about Bill being a model for Dsquared... He said that Bill was a beautiful, black angel lol!

kay, in my school very few people like and know tokio hotel. most people think they're gay because Bill wears make-up. seriously, some people are just so close-minded.
anyways, because of the lack of TH presence in my school. i was so surprised to see one locker with a TH poster stuck on the door. i swear everytime i see that locker open i would sneak a peek of the poster and it would always put a smile to my face and make my day a lot better. but just yesterday when i glanced at the locker, the poster was gone. :cry:

OMG I HAD MY FIRST REAL EXPERIENCE TODAY YAAAY!

We were working on a worksheet in german class and "Ich brech aus" came one, and I looked over at my friend Abe (Who isn't a fan but thinks their sorta cool, and he's suportive of me liking them) And with my eyes wide open i motioned at the speakers and lipped the words "IT'S TOKIO HOTEL!!!!!" And he made a "WAAAAH??? AWESOME!" expression. It was sick. I couldnt focus on my work lol cause i was singing in my head.

Then Ready, Set, Go! came on, and i literally sat there the whole time bickering to the kids around me going OMG SHE SHOULDA PLAYED THE GERMAN VERSION. Lol i dont really like the eng versions.

I said to the kid next to me "This is my favorite band!" (lol i was really excited) and he was like "who?"

"Ohh, I know them."
"REALLY? How?"
"idk, i just do..."
then i said "she should play the german version"
"What? aren't they Japanese?"
Me: "-____-"

Then after class I went up to Frau Morgan and was like "You totally made my day today"
"Why?" She said

i was in my economics class carrying one of my overly-decorated binders and the girl sitting next to me asked if she could look at it. she turned to me and pointed at Bill's picture and asked:

As I explained in another thread, I'm going to come out of TH closet inb couple of weeks to a whole school and bring TH's DSOTS album to a music quiz. So, eventually all students will see that it was me, who brought Tokio Hotel to the school as an example of music I listen to.

AND I'M GOING TO BE PROUD OF IT! :grin:

I think I'm too oldf for being scared of people's opinions and reactions. I'm above that. If it bothers or amuses them, it's their problem, not mine.

At our dance a coupLe weeks ago, I requested TH to pLay. And they did! It was Break Away and they showed the Youtube stuff for it. It was a sLideshow thing and I guess everyone knew I choose it because I was singing to it. XD UnfortiantLy, everyone kept on asking if BiLL was a boy or girL -_-

wenn i was a sophomore (fixing to graduate now *SENIOR*, kinda feel old now) in speech class, we were told to talk about anyone whom inspires us. my best friend n i talked bout the band. we felt proud to be Tokio Hotel fans and more than willing to spread their AMAZING talent. More than half the girls admired Tom's charm and everyone asked if bill was a girl or guy -___-. our teacher loved our speech and said that they have an amazing career and inspirational, that they are examples of brave people who kann express themselves and stay true to whom they are and not what others want. <3 i'm forever proud of them and to be an ALIEN!!
