View Full Version : Twins to a reality show on Spring 2012?

The rumor of the day tells us that Kaulitz brothers would have their own reality show on TV (by HBO) next Spring.

A girl whose father is an assistant producer at HBO, wrote this:

"..he knows I am a TH fan so yesterday he mentioned to me that he saw something i might be interested in.. on the list of shows that will be aired in Spring 2012 there was a show called "Kaulitz Brothers: Radio Hysteria" or something like that, I can't quite remember, but it was optioned for HBO internationally and it's under the category reality tv!! I have no idea what it could be, but ummm, who cares right? kind of amazing. I'll post more if I can find out more!!!"

Personally I wouldn't get my hopes high on this one. A fan comment on a forum is not really a reliable source at all and lot of big TH sites seem to have neglected this rumor at least for now.

However, I decided to post since it has gained some attention in Twitter.

Aren't they too busy for that ?

Are they?..

Are they?..

I don't know, they're always going to somewhere, doing something and working so...

I wouldn't imagine there's any truth in this- imao the twins are very protective of their privacy.

I fint this hard to believe, but not as unlikely as it would be a couple of years ago.. :???: Unfortunately realityshows can be a fast lane to attention in the US, if that is what TH aims for.

I don't know what to make of this. I seriously find it hard to believe today.

I find it hard to belive since they like to stay private. Why take all the effort of keeping "normal" life sepreat from stage life if your just going to throw it to the wind by doing a show like that?

Seems unlikely to me. They go to great lengths to keep their lives private and then do their own reality show? :|

Plus, I'm not the biggest fan of reality shows, they are usually really embarassing, so I'm not rooting for this.

Same as me. Hope, that it's only a gossip.

I do watch reality shows, but I honestly hope this is not true. 95% of the time it's only making the "stars" of the show look stupid and desperate attention wh*res. I'd find it sad if I would have to see twins like that - no matter how much I would love to see them on regular basis again.

I guess it is possible to arrange a "staged everyday life". (Not just in this possible case, but in all realityshows.) It could be a mix of neutral things as shopping, walking, doing neutral things, mixed with old clips of concerts and crazy fans.

I don't think this is a reliable source, nor an upcoming show. But also I don't think its impossible: from what the fan can recall, it had a subtitle like radio hysteria which implies its focus is their music -- maybe the history of the Tokio Hotel phenomenon up to now. I'm sure they have had specials about them on TV in Germany before, so to make it different it could be deeper. The boys could let camera crews roll during their creative processes. The writing and recording of their songs may not be as private as the rest of their personal lives so it isn't too hard to believe they may let their fans witness part of it for the first time ever.

Like I said, I highly doubt this is happening but I don't think it would be too bad.

If it did happen I could only see it being a set number of episodes like a documented on recording the album. and they are protective of their life. Heck, we still don't know if Bill's a Virgin or not because he won't tell us.

This is faker than fake. HBO doesn't really have reality shows and the channel is barely available internationally -- not in western Europe at all, which is TH's primary fan base.

Radio Hysteria would be an awful name for a television show, imo.

HBO does have some reality shows, though it seems like it's mostly either sex stuff (Cathouse Diaries) or stand up comics/news (Bill Maher). I can't really imagine them being all that interested in following around half a band that doesn't even get that much press in the US.

As said, a random fan on a forum saying "my dad works there-and-there and he said that..." is already screaming for FAAAAKEEEE, so... yeah.

Like someone in Twitter said: There are awfully lot of rumors about them going on and none of it is about the album.

RADIO hysteria, a TV show?
shouldn't it be TELEVISION hysteria?

sorry for the bad joke!

anyways...i don't think this is true. and why is it only the twins? what are the G's going to do?
My faith still remains in THTV, even though they never make it anymore.

a reality TV show would be great publicity, but i surely do not want scenes of Tom getting wasted or Bill having a hissy fit, just like the ones in jersey shore.
these days, reality TV is for Z-list celebrities. and i don't want anyone from TH to sink down into that level.

Not buying it either and you all know I'm stuck on that the source has to be reliable and this is just....not. :P

In the thread for the new album wasn't there a rumor that the new title would be Radio Hysteria or did I dream that? :-?

I don't believe it. I actually hope they don't have this reality show; I miss Georg and Gustav :(

Hahaha! Yeah! When I read 'father (...) knows I am a TH fan so yesterday he mentioned', I just automatically thought to myself, 'fake. lies.' But who know? :???:

You don't have to go that far. We can already admire Tom wasted here: [url]

Idk if Radio Hysteria is mentioned in a new album thread, but that word pair appears in lyrics of DSOTS and by that I find it hard to believe it has anything to do with the new album.

I would find it more believable if the rumor said "my father works for MTV...", since MTV loves doing all these little reality doodlyboos.

The guys keep their private lives very private, so i can't see them opening their lives to a camera crew and quite a few CFF's.

It does say that. Amdee didn't quote the whole rumor post. Doesn't make it more believable to me. HBO has no reason to be interested in TH. It's not their thing at all.

My father is an assistant producer at HBO and he looks at and analyzes charts for the popularity of past TV series and sort of like compares them with a test group who watch pilots of new tv series. He basically sees what works with which demographic and what will bemost successful. Anyway~!! /boring

so this is the news: he knows I am a TH fan so yesterday he mentioned to me that he saw something i might be interested in.. on the list of shows that will be aired in Spring 2012 there was a show called "Kaulitz Brothers: Radio Hysteria" or something like that, I can't quite remember, but it was optioned for HBO internationally and it's under the category reality tv!! Could be an episode of some radio channel where the guys take over a show for a day etc.
But no one will understand what they are saying :p

I'm all for a good dramalicious reality show, but that's not where B&T belong. I'll be very upset if they end up on reality TV. Unless it's following the progress of the new album/movie/traveling/etc. like THTV could be. I could go for that. In fact, just put a new THTV on TV. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Anyway, this does seem faker than fake. I don't believe it at all.
