I originally posted this in the Bill Spam thread, but I guess nobody really saw it there. So, x-posted.

Looks like they're doing a 100% Karl Lagerfeld show and I think we're going to be getting at least a quote from Bill.

Google translation

"I'm so conceited to believe that my best and most influential collection is still ahead of me."

Karl Lagerfeld - one of the most famous and richest Germans. The whole world knows him, over-the designers of our time, a living icon - for over 55 years. On Friday, 25 November, from 23 clock stands, thus after RTL in "100 percent Karl Lagerfeld 'life and career of the eccentric genius, fashion and art.

"Permit me, what is cut down and allowed me to do what I like is!" Everything that can be said about Karl Lagerfeld, he himself has said this before somewhere better. But one thing is clear - he is one of the world's best-known German. He is the general designer, a living icon, a genius inventing itself again and again, dynamically creative and pioneering in the fields of fashion, photography and art - and this for more than half a century. RTL therefore portrays the flamboyant all-rounder in another installment of the successful Bio-Pic series "100 percent".

This insightful Special shows highlights from the life and career of the master: from his childhood in Hamburg and Bad Bramstedt about the early years as a Fashion Apprentice in Paris, his countless triumphs as an internationally acclaimed designers to unique insights into Lagerfeld's private life as part of the Paris Bohème.

In addition to friends and supporters to give high-profile international stars of their admiration for the German fashion legend expression, including ex-model and first lady of France Carla Bruni, the German top model Claudia Schiffer, Nadja Auermann and Toni Garrn, Hollywood star Diane Kruger, the pop Stars-Kylie Minogue and Bill Kaulitz and the Italian fashion guru Valentino.

Friday, 25.11.2011, 23:00 clock at RTL
A production of MME Entertainment in association with Martina Neuen and Jürgen Lindemann

Here's more or less the same blurb on RTL's site: http://www.rtl.de/cms/mein-rtl/zuschauerservicefaq.html#7065521

Probably nothing, but hey, it's still better than nothing (well, that didn't make any sense).
One sentence is more than no sentence at all. This dry season forces us to celebrate these little things. I feel pretty amused of how this will turn out to be - back patting competition. Oh, those famous people. ;)

T&B had under a minute for 100% Otto, but I'm hoping for slightly more than that since Bill actually worked with Lagerfeld. It's not much, but at least it's something to look forward with a specific date, as opposed to "soon." ;)

All those self-congratulations are why I mostly stopped bothering watching the behind-the-scenes docs that they put on DVDs.

It's a little hard to see, but it almost looks like Bill's original (or maybe second incarnation) of his septum piercing. So I'm thinking it was filmed a year ago!

Is that the coat he wore on the VMAJ red carpet?

I don't think so... :? I've seen it before but I don't think it's the coat. *runs off to find pics*

I had a better pic but I accidentally dropped it into the wrong folder (don't know which) so now it's lost forever. :???:

I honestly don't remember what these are from. I feel so stupid. *facepalm*

You're right, it's this outfit. This is, um, something they aired on Japanese TV, I think? It looks to me more like the photo shoot. The white top Bill is wearing in the video screencap seems like it has a round neck and not a v-neck?

ETA: Have I mentioned lately how awesome you are, Pocky?

The photo shoot was the InRock issue from December 2010, so at least I was right that this was filmed ages ago!

Yes, I was thinking that Bill looked like it was something he wore some time ago. They apparently take some time to finish these documentaries?

I hate it when I'm so busy, tired and unable to focus these days that I just come up with anything coherent.

It starts in 5,5 hrs, if you want to watch.

I might not. Watching an hour of nonsense just to see couple lines from Bill saying hjow wonderful he is? I think I'll just wait for it to come here.

Thank you!

That was lovely. Made me smile. His hair and makeup bothers me, though. :P ...but I just can't get enough of that voice. <3

I think he seemed a little out of it. He just seems...blank? Empty? Distant? Tired? I dunno. *shrug*
Just something I noticed.

I hope a translation comes up soon! I would actually like to watch the entire thing if there were subtitles. :geek:

Don't worry, you're not missing all that much if you don't understand. He's saying that everyone knows Lagerfeld, even people who aren't interested in fashion. He goes on to say that Lagerfeld's a visionary and knows exactly what he wants but doesn't put pressure on you during a shooting and that he (Bill) has rarely had as much fun during a shooting as he had with Lagerfeld.
About Lagerfeld designing for H&M: Bill thinks it was especially important for young people who don't know much about the fashion industry and who don't have much money.
About their meeting: He says that Lagerfeld knew a lot about young musicians and artists that were only just starting out and he (Bill) thinks that this is very important - his zeitgeist for music and art, for things that are only just emerging.
At the end of the video he says that he can't imagine that there'll come a time when we won't hear of Lagerfeld anymore and he thinks that as long as he (Lagerfeld) lives, he'll always be very important for the fashion industry.

Hope that helps a little.

It sounded so good to just listen to Bill speaking German.

Tbh, this whole thing doesn't interest me at all, but I liked to just see somnething new of Bill... even if it was old.

Someone joked in Twitter that probably 90% of people who watched this yesterday were TH fans.

I sure did. And you're very welcome. ;)

I have to say I'm with Amdee in that this documentary doesn't really interest me all that much, but it was nice seeing new footage of Bill.

Having said that, I am considering watching the whole thing after all. I've never been interested in the fashion industry (or fashion in general for that matter), so I don't know much about Lagerfeld. He must have led (and must still be leading) a very interesting life, though, so it might be worth watching.

I found translation...
“He is THE designer for many people. Also people who are not so familiar with fashion, I think they know Karl Lagerfeld in any case.”

“He has a vision. He knows exactly what he wants and how it looks good. He doesn’t constrict someone. I’ve already made photos with many people and I rarely had so much fun as at the shooting with Karl Lagerfeld.”

“It was also important for young people. When I watch back now, when I was very young and have lived in the village, I have not much noticed about the fashion industry. H&M is something that many people know and is affordable for all. And it was sensational that a great designer has designed something for H&M.”

“He knew a lot about the music industry when we’ve been talking about young artists, about people who have just begun. And he looks at this. And I also think that is important too. His spirit of the time for music and art, for all the things that arise.”

“I can not imagine that we hear nothing more of him someday. As long as he can somehow see straight ahead, he will always be a very important part of the fashion industry.”
