Germany doesn't have Tintin in movies yet?
Or is it common that since you do voice-overs, the movies come little bit later?

EDIT.
I just read the whole article.
So it would be out before Chriostmas in Germany?

The article talks about 3D, 2D- und IMAX versions to be released around Christmas. Whatever the difference is.

The recent The Adventures of Tintin movie has been premiered in Germany at the end of October.

I'm confused about these Tintin movies, because at least we had one Tintin 3D back in last month. I don't know.

Whatever, I'm not going to watch it anyway.

And if Bill does this voice-over for this, that's be great, but I personally doubt it.

EDIT.
I studied the site and wait a second, does the relerase date mean that Tintin has not yet been released in the USA/N-America? :shock1:

Here are the release dates worldwide: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/tintinsecretoftheunicorn/releasedates/

As far as I know, there is only one Tintin made my Spielberg&Jackson. So we are talking about that one, right? Also in that article? It's confusing, because it has already premiered in Germany (as you said).

2D means the "normal" movie version
3D is 3D movie
IMAX is done with a bit different technology - you know, they reflect it to a wide, half-globe screen like in those rollercoaster "movies" they have in amusement parks.

I assume you've had at least 2D and 3D in Germany since we've had them, too?
Do you know if they were subtitled versions or voice-overs what they showed a month ago?

The movie actually will be released in the US on Dec. 21, very strange:

I have no idea what the article is relating to, then.

And it premiered in Finland on Nov 4th.
I'
ve never seen a movie having a premiere in the States later than in Europe, but hey, maybe it's because Tintin is a French character? It was just surprising.

And yeah, Idk what Tintin the article is talking about.

I don't think so. I watched English version with subtitles (my friend was too lazy to come to cinema at 6pm on a dubbed version, so we chose English which was played later).

None of this really makes much sense to me- the Tintin film's been out for quite a while already and according to the article, Bill's only just "in talks" about the voice over. I assume that sorting out the voice over takes more than just a few weeks they've left it very late to find a V.O. artist for it.

I'm gonna take this runour with a pinch of salt but it would be nice if it were true :D

EDIT: And if the film's already released in German cinemas, what's the problem with just using the person who voiced the 2D film? Changing a film from 2D to 3D is a lot of work, so why get ?a new artist to voice it?

...I feel stupid for asking: What's "Tintin"? Is it like "Steamboy"? :?

I meant that it premiered here earlier simply because we have longer history with Tintin? And I'm sorry, Tintin in Belgium, not French. My bad.

We don't dub films here at all, so... but I never saw it since I wasn't exactly interested.
