Bill: The boy with the Manga hair! (Bravo 2005)
He feels like a something out of a fairytale, as if he's not of this world. With his pale almost transparent skin, brown eyes and feminine features Bill looks like a elf from "Lord of the Rings". He's pretty tall for his age (177 cm) and so thin, that even the smallest t-shirts need to be sown in to fit him. But the most eye catching about the singer is the black and blue Manga-haircut. It's a relic from a masquerade 4 years ago. That was when he dressed up as a vampire and combed down his hair in front of one eye for the first time. Bill is supervain. He says so himself. The Magdeburger gets up extra early to fix his hair. He spends one hour in the bathroom to get ready. In the weekend when he's about to go out, even two. "To put on makeup, dye the hair, fix the hair and paint the nails take time".
But this look, that his fans adore, irritates a lot of people at home in the village, Loitsche. His looks sticks out. If you look like that you want to be more then others, they think. The older students are trying to tease him. "They yell mean things after me, like Queen, but I keep it cool". The singer doesn't have that much to do with the other students in school. "Tom and I only have one best friend there". His name is Andreas. The twins spend the breaks with him in the cafeteria. They started doing that after the twins got famous, to get away from the other students dumb comments. The guys at school are jealous at the twins because "the girls are standing and watches us", Bill says with his hoarse voice that is changing and tells us: "My family says I haven't changed. But in school they think we've gotten rich. They say: "bring champagne" and claim I owe them money"! The fact is that Bill and Tom "only" get 50 euros a week. After the breakthrough the twins couldn't continue with school. "The first day of school I was happy because of the "der Schultüte” (a cone with candy the kids get their first day of school), but already the next day I didn't want to go. Today I just think it's annoying to go to school! But you got to have a degree..."
If Bill really will graduate, he doesn't know yet. "We're thinking about getting a tutor". The tutor wont have it easy since Bill can be saucy. Together with his brother he can come up with a lot of stupid things. And out on tours and in interviews Bill says what ever comes to mind. Everybody get to hear a thing or two from him but no one can be mad at him. And when Bill needs to burp, he will. "And then you have to say "Schulz"! And the one that doesn't gets a smack on the forehead". Maybe not exactly what a women wishes in a man. Despite that Bill has a great success among girls of all ages. Contrary to his brother Bill doesn't want to say how many girls he's had. He got his first kiss at nine though. "Tom kissed her first, and then me. We both thought it was gross and never saw her again", Bill laughs. And you see his pointy teeth. And all of a sudden he looks like a little vampire. But much nicer.
My movie: Everytime I've been to the movies I think that movie was my favourite. Right now I like "Barfuss". (Barfuss is a film by German actor and director Til Schweiger released in 2005. It is a romantic comedy and tells the story of Nick, a hedonistic bachelor, who falls for Leila, an escaped mental patient. It was written by Dina Marie Chapman, Jann Preuss and Schweiger himself.)
My idol: I've liked Nena since I was 6 years old. I especially loves her older songs. The new ones are OK.
My song: No one special. But ”Lonely” with Akon irritates me. It's heard on TV all the time. I don't want to hear it anymore!
My beverage: I prefer Coke. Or Red Bull. At parties I always need Red Bull. I can't be without it.
My animal: Our dog Scotty. We've had him for 4,5 year. He's a mix between a Labrador and a Doberman.
