Temptations of,.. love?

Sitting around at home, Tom is already in bed for the night of course snoring as loud as he possibly can. She sits there in the bay window in the living room staring out into the darkness wondering what He is doing, yes, Bill.
Bill and her were together at one point, things went south and she ended up with Bills twin brother Tom and well, Bill ended up with her best friend, Ashley. As the weeks have been passing by slowly and painfully while she watches Bill happily with her best friend she can’t help but be a little jealous and cant help that she misses the time she spent with Bill.
So sitting there at home, missing him she decides to call Bill and see what he’s up to.

Bill: Hallo?

Her: *says nothing for a moment*

Bill: Hallo? Who is this?

Her: Hallo Billy, it's me

Bill: Hallo. …Umm why are you calling me? I thought you hated me?

Her: I don’t hate you Billy I love you!

Bill: Yeah, sure...

Her: I DO LOVE YOU! I loved you first remember!!

Bill: Yeah but now you're a traitor!

Her: I’ll always have a spot for you luv

Bill: Well that spot's not big enough, I’ve moved on.

Her: Billy don’t do that to me, I love you

Bill: Yeah well how do you think I felt when you went for Tom??

Her: Well you were flirting with Ashley!

Bill: Well JA! But that's no excuse!!

Her: OH PLEASES BILL!! You were flirting with my best friend right in front of me...so what did you expect me to do?

Bill: Yes I was "flirting" but you were all over Tom!

Her: I WASN'T ALL OVER TOM BILL! If anything the boy was flirting with ME FIRST cause YOU were being an *** and flirting with her in front of me!

Bill: No! I wasn't flirting at first, we were just talking, but then Tom comes along and you just forget all about me! And if I’m not mistaken, YOU left with HIM!!

Her: I left with Tom because you were hanging all over Ashley!

Bill: I was not!

Her: YES YOU WERE! We were supposed to be spending the day together and Ashley came to talk to me and you glued yourself to her, YOU DID IT BILL!

Bill: I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about! I was just being nice and talking to her! Oh, but you were being VERY nice to Tom now weren't you!!

Her: What do you mean VERY nice?!?! WTF DOES THAT MEAN BILL!?! You were being more then NICE and just TALKING TO HER!

Bill: I think you know EXACTLY what it means!! What exactly did you two do when you left huh?? And what do you mean I was being more than nice?? All we did was talk!!

Her: You were all over her ....you can TALK to someone without having your hands all over them BILL...and we didn’t do ANYTHING when we left...we just went for a drive, Tom knew I was UPSET BECAUSE OF YOU!

Bill: What are you talking about?? My hands were not all over her! And that's still NO excuse for leaving with my BROTHER!! And yeah right all you did was drive around!

Her: What are you getting at Bill!?! Are you calling me a slut or something?! NO I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH TOM THAT NIGHT! And yes your hands certainly weren’t kept to yourself! IM NOT BLIND!

Bill: I didn't call you a slut, I'm just stating the facts, I know EXACTLY what Tom does in his car with girls and it CERTAINLY isn't just "driving around" and the ONLY time I touched her was when she asked to see my nails and grabbed my hand! YOU were imagining things!!!

Her: So you're saying I screwed around with Tom in his car that night?!!? NEIN! I didn’t! WE DIDNT DO ANYTHING and it was more then just having her hand in yours Bill! I am not imagining anything...ASK GUSTI HE SAW IT!

Bill: Oh please, Gustav doesn't know ********!! And I didn't say you did anything, your actions that night spoke WAY louder than you words!!! But whatever, I hope you and Tom had a lot of fun.

Her: OH MY GOD!! What do you mean my ACTIONS spoke louder then my words...WHAT DID THEY SAY BILLY?

Bill: They said "I'm leaving to go "riding around" with my boyfriend's BROTHER right in front of him!!"

Her: Yeah well you were all over Ashley ****it I already told you that....you hurt me.... so I left.

Bill: Well I'm so sorry that you can't handle me talking to another girl, but I'm sure Tom made you feel all better.

Her: Tom made me feel better yes...and no it's NOT LIKE THAT...he talked to me and made me not so upset because YOU were being a JERK. I was happy with you...until that happened Billy...

Bill: Oh so now it's all MY fault?? All I did was talk her, if you didn't like that, then you could've said something, but instead you just left me

Her: Well why were you ignoring me and THEN when I told you I was going to leave? You just sat there you didn’t say anything OR Try and get me to stay!

Bill: What was I supposed to say? Apparently you had already made up your mind, and I thought you were going to come back and tell me what was wrong, but you NEVER came back!

Her: When I came to see you the next day Billy you wouldn’t even look at me... I didn’t do ANYTHING with Tom.

Bill: Because I thought you ****ed my brother!! What was I supposed to think? And why didn't you pick up your phone when I called you that night??

Her: Bill you really think I’m like that? That I’m going to go screw Tom the first night I even HANG OUT with him...NO.. I can't believe you would think that about me, and I didn’t even have my phone ON when you called me.

Bill: Well what was I supposed to think? You left with him all ****** off at me and we all know how he is, you never came back that night, and you didn't answer the phone.

Her: Billy just because Tom is like that doesn’t mean that I am.

Bill: *sigh* I know, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, but you leaving with Tom really made me feel bad.

Her: Well babe it made me feel bad when you were flirting with my friend in front of me...ok maybe you don’t think of it as flirting but I did...and it really upset me...I’m sorry I left but I didn’t want to stay there and watch that.

Bill: I'm sorry if I was flirting, I didn't mean to, and you were right, I should've tried to get you to stay, and I really am sorry if I hurt you

Her: It's ok Billy, I’m sorry that I hurt you....I really am. But for real I didn’t do anything with Tom that night I swear. He drove me around till I was NOT upset anymore then he took me home. That was it.

Bill: I believe you, I really do and I'm sorry for accusing you, and you were right, I shouldn't have flirted with your friend.

Her: It's ok Billy, I forgive you. . . . If you can forgive me..

Bill: Of course I forgive you, and I really am happy for you and Tom.

Her: You're happy for me and Tom? Really?

Bill: Of course I am, you make each other happy, and I like to see Tom happy, he needed to settle down with one girl.

Her: Well I’m happy for you and Ash too... I’m glad you found her or she found you...you make a good couple

Bill: Thanks, I'm just glad this whole thing hasn't ruined your relationship with her, or me and Tom's relationship.

Her: Nein! Ashley and I are fine.... I do still sometimes get jealous of you and her to be honest... oh well... bleh !!

Bill: Same here, I get jealous sometimes, but at the same time I'm happy for you.

Her: Yea I am happy for you too but still can’t get over the jealous bits sometimes I duno why. I’m crazy Billy... do you ever think about that day I left with Tom? I mean...if it didn’t happen?

Bill: No you're not crazy. And yeah I think about it sometimes, like what would it have been like if I had gone after you instead of just letting you leave like that, but I don't know, maybe there still would've been something between you and Tom? You guys just have something that me and you didn't, like you were meant for each other.

Her: What do you think that me and tom have that me and you didn’t? You don’t think we were happy together Billy?

Bill: No, I think we were very happy together, it's just that you and Tom seem like you were made for each other, like you just fit together so perfectly, I can't explain it, it's just there, and I know that the two of you were meant to be.

Her: I thought I was meant to be with you Billy...didn’t you always tell me that.

Bill: Yeah that's what I thought too, until I saw how happy you were with Tom and how well you two go together.

Her: I am happy with Tom...but I miss you Billy...I really do...a lot... I don’t know maybe because I don’t get to spend time with you often I don’t want people to get the wrong idea...but I miss you.

Bill: I know, and I miss you too, and I really wish things had ended better between us

Her: So do I, I wish things hadn’t ended sometimes bleh...by the way where is Ashley anyway? I haven’t got to talk to you in a while Billy.

Bill: I know sometimes I still think about us being together, but yeah Ashley was tired so she's resting now, and I do miss talking to you.

Her: You think about us being together? Really? Wow....I do too...oh my god don’t tell Tom I said that ...but it's the truth... I do... I miss little things. I’m weird.

Bill: Of course I do, but I think it's only normal to feel that way, and don't worry, I won't tell Tom if you won't tell Ashley. But I’m just glad that we both found someone we're in love with.

Her: One night we were getting ready for bed and I called Tom, Bill.... thank goodness he didn’t hear me... but it made me laugh and then the rest of the night I couldn’t get you out of my head... I wanted to call you but I didn’t want to bother you and Ashley

Bill: Ha-ha really? Well it's nice to know that you think about me while you're in bed with Tom Ha-Ha! But seriously, I do think about you from time to time and what could've been, and all the cute little things we used to do together, but you should call me sometimes, if Tom won't mind that is...

Her: Ja I think about you when I’m in bed with Tom... that sounds so bad Billy.... Shh don’t tell...and it's not like I do it ALL the time I just....yea ok I’m digging myself a hole here aren’t I...and ja I'll call you I just don’t want Ash to get mad.

Bill: Ha-Ha! It's ok, I know what you mean, I do think about you sometimes when I'm with Ashley, you two are just so much alike. And I don't think she'll get mad, at least I hope not

Her: So Billy, now what do we do... I want to give you a hug, come over here

Bill: Ha-ha I don't think Tom or Ashley would appreciate me coming over there in the middle of the night, but what about tomorrow? We could hang out or something...if you want, just as friends.

Her: Tom won't even know, he’s asleep! Phooey you are no fun Billy! You act like I’m going to kidnap you or something.... ok maybe I would but still...I need Billy time...

Bill: Well, maybe we could go somewhere, if you're sure Tom won't wake up...

Her: Yes let's go!

Bill: Ok where do you want to go?

Her: Anywhere I don’t care I just want to be with you Billy... whatever you want.

Bill: Let's go to the beach then and take a walk

Her: Ok the beach it is Billy.

Bill: Good, but we can't stay long though...

Her: Why not Billy?

Bill: I don't want Ashley to wake up and get the wrong idea, Tom either...

Her: Ok well just for a little while then....

Bill: I can't wait to spend time with you again.

Her: Are you going to come here or do you want me to go there or, what ...I know I can't wait either Billy

Bill: I'll come pick you up

Her: YAY! I'll be waiting Billy

Bill: Good, I’ll be there in 20 minutes

((In the car on the way to the beach,…))

Her: Danke Schon for picking me up Billy,

Bill: You're welcome, you look good

Her: So do you, you look cute... and thank you

Bill: So what's been going on with you lately?

Her: Nothing really, just work.... trying to work on my music... **nervously fidgets with seatbelt** ...what about you?

Bill: Nothing new really, just recording and stuff *they arrive at beach*

Her: *gets out of the car and they walk towards the water* No pushing me in Billy! Behave! ... Promise?

Bill: Of course not, I wouldn't do that *gives you mischievous smile*

Her: You little bugger! Come on luv, lets walk down this way **hooks her arm with bills**

Bill: Ooh remember, we used to come here all the time and take walks at night?

Her: Yes I do, I missed it a lot.... I’m glad you brought me here again...thank you...it's beautiful out here isn’t it?

Bill: You're welcome darling, and it really does feel good to just hang out and talk with you again. And yeah it's really beautiful tonight.

Her: Are you going to tell Ash that you brought me here tonight?

Bill: I don't know, I probably will, are you going to tell Tom?

Her: I should tell him....but I don’t know. Not like if I don’t tell him it will be something bad, I mean we're not doing anything wrong...right Billy?

Bill: Yeah I guess you're right, just friends hanging out together.

Her: Yeppers, though right now...I’m having a lot of fun being with you, so I think I’m not going to want to leave when the time comes Billy.

Bill: I know me neither; I really have missed being around you though

Her: Really...how much?

Bill: Depends. Some days more than others, I mostly just feel bad for the way I treated you and the way I ended things.

Her: Don’t feel bad babe everything is cool...I forgave you...you forgave me. We're good right?

Bill: Yeah everything's fine now.

Her: I hope Tom doesn’t wake up, that would be bad ja?

Bill: Yeah that would be pretty bad *pulls out phone and looks at time* maybe I should get you home now.

Her: I don’t want to leave Billy, I want to be with you ** grabs his phone and puts it in her pocket** We don’t know what time it is...

Bill: Ha-ha ok if you say so.

Her: Good, then we never have to leave right? Ok maybe not never but....not for a while

Bill: Ha-ha no, not for a while *pulls her down to sit beside him on sand*

Her: You smell really good Billy ** scoots in closer ** this is nice...JA?

Bill: Yeah this is really nice *puts his arm around her*

Her: You are quite lovely Bill, thank you again for tonight *lays her head on Bill's shoulder*

Bill: No, thank you for coming.

Her: How could I say no to you ha-ha.... it's cause I love you so.

Bill: Of course, you never could resist me *wicked grin*

Her: **nervously fidgets with the bracelets on her wrist* You're mean Billy...you did that on purpose.

Bill: Did what?? *looks innocent*

Her: Oh you know exactly what you did Billy ...you gave me THAT look!

Bill: Ah, what look? I don't know what you're talking about

Her: Sure you don’t. Whatever Billy

Bill: *hears his phone ringing* Who is that?

Her: It's no one Billy... **puts her hands in her pockets to cover the phone*

Bill: Nein! Let me see it

Her: No Billy!

Bill: Don't make me have to get it myself!

Her: You cant get it! I will win!!

Bill: Oh really? *pushes her back and tries to get the phone*

Her: HAHA! You can't get it!! *tries to pull Bill's hands from her*

Bill: *takes her hands and pins them above her head* Ha-ha now what?? I think I win!

Her: **looks up at bill** I guess you did....

Bill: *leans down until noses are almost touching* And what do I get for winning?

Her: Whatever you want Billy,

Bill: Oh really? *he leans in closer* Well in that case...*phone starts to ring again*

Her: *reaches in pocket and turns off the phone*.....We don’t know what time it is...we
aren’t here Billy...

Bill: *leans down until lips are barely touching, but then pulls away after a second* I can't do this to Tom

Her: I'm sorry Billy,*sits up a little bit*

Bill: *sits back and runs his hands through his hair* No it's alright; we should get back now though...

Her: Billy, I don’t want to go back, I told you I’m not going to want to leave....please a little bit longer...??

Bill: I know but...what about Tom. What about Ashley? We almost kissed...

Her: Tom doesn’t even know where I am...Ash doesn’t know where we are, they're sleeping....right? I know we almost kissed Bill....you wanted to kiss me...why didn’t you?

Bill: Because Tom is my brother, and I can't do that to him. And Ashley trusts me, she'd never forgive me if I betrayed that trust...

Her: But you wanted to kiss me didn’t you Billy??

Bill: I don't know...I think I did.

Her: You think you did Billy? Yes or no?

Bill: I don't know, it's just that being around you brought back a lot of memories...did you want me to kiss you?

Her: Um, Yes being around you brings back a lot of good memories...and...Umm, yeah I did want you to kiss me... err is that bad?

Bill: I don't think it's wrong to feel that way

Her: Good, I don’t feel so bad now

Bill: No, don't feel bad, it's ok

Her: It's ok Billy? Is it still ok that I want you to kiss me....even though you already said you can't do that to Tom?...I still want you to kiss me... I’m a horrible person aren’t I?

Bill: No you're not a horrible person, we never had a real ending to our relationship, and we never talked about what happened, and now that we got all the bad feelings out of the way, there are only good ones left.

Her: I don’t know what to do ...or err say now? I cant stop thinking about you Billy and that’s ...WELL THAT'S BAD...right? I mean **** I’m with Tom, you're with Ashley. But... I don’t know

Bill: Yeah that's not good for either of us....and I don't know either....

Her: **lays back down on the sand** Billy...I think I’m going crazy right now.

Bill: *sits back on his elbows*

Her: Bill I’m sorry,...I don’t know what to say ,...I have a lot going through my mind right now and I don’t want to say or do something I shouldn’t

Bill: I know, same here... what do you want to do now?

Her: Something I shouldn’t, Billy.

Bill: Nic....you know we can't...it just isn't right...

Her: Come on Billy...please...just kiss me just once...one more time...please...?? Bill?

Bill: Nic, I love Ashley and you love Tom....right?

Her: ...I think I do Billy, but if I do how come I want to be with you so bad?

Bill: I don't know...I don't know what to think right now...

Her: I’m sorry Bill, nevermind let's just go. **stands up, and brushes the sand off her legs**

Bill: *stands up and does the same* Yeah...ok...

Her: Billy, are you mad at me?

Bill: No I’m not mad, why do you think that?

Bill: Because I want you to kiss me and that’s bad....and...Yea...oh my god what am I going to tell Tom?

Bill: Tell Tom the truth, we just talked, nothing bad right?

Her: We did, but we almost kissed...and I totally wanted you to do it....I’m a ****ty girlfriend and a ****ty best friend...but I cant help that I want you back.

Bill: Don't say that, you're not a bad girlfriend or best friend *pulls her in for a soft hug*

Her: *wraps her arms around bill*...Billy....don’t let go.

Bill: I'm sorry, I...I should really get you back home now, it's getting late

Her: Alright go ahead Billy...I think I’m going to stay here for a while.

Bill: Stay here by yourself? But it's the middle of the night.

Her: It's okay, I'll be fine.... I don’t want to go home right now... tom will know something is wrong if he wakes up and sees me like this... it's ok really.

Bill: Are. You sure?

Her: *looks up at bill* Ermm, ja I think so... why?

Bill: Nothing, I just wanted to know if you were sure *licks his lips and opens his mouth to say something but then thinks twice* Yeah I need to get back home Nic...So...I'll see you around?

Her: Billy....wait...what were you going to say, and don't say nothing, I know you better then that!

Bill: Umm...I should....I should really get going *turns to walk away*

Her: *grabs bill by the arm* Billy please...

Bill: Nic...I...I shouldn't...

Her: Shouldn’t what? You won't even tell me what you wanted to say Billy

Bill: Well... what if I wanted to kiss you too? Just one more time...

Her: *smiles at bill*

Bill: *smiles back and pushes her hair back from her face*

Her: *puts her arm around Bill's waist, and looks up at him smiling* Billy, one last time. One more kiss...

Bill: *takes her face in both of his hands and leans forward until their lips are touching*

Her: **pulls Bill in closer to her**

Bill: *holds her tighter and deepens kiss*

Her: *plays with the back of Bill's hair*

Bill: *moves his hands down and rests them on her hips*

Her: *looks up at Bill again* ...Billy...

Bill:*opens eyes and looks down at her* Yeah?

Her: Now really I don’t want you to let me go, I love you Billy.... **leans against bill**

Bill: I....I really have to go, I'm sorry, I shouldn't...I mean....do you want a ride home?

Her: You shouldn’t what Billy?

Bill: Please...I just really should be getting home now...

Her: Alright Billy, have a good night...thank you

Bill: Umm...yeah, I'll see you around I guess...bye

Her: BILL! WAIT! I have your phone still...

Bill: Oh ja, can't forget that *comes back to take phone*

Her: *hands Bill the phone and walks away towards the water* ...bye bill


Bill gets home and kisses a sleeping Ashley goodnight and crawls into bed next to her and he too falls asleep.
Nic stays at the beach a while longer and then calls for a cab to take her home. When she gets home she sees that tom is still asleep, or so she thinks...

The next morning, Nic is up early and sitting In the living room. She tried to get to sleep last night, but she couldn’t stop thinking about what happened with Bill the night before and how she had to tell Tom. Just then, Tom walks into the living room and sees her sitting there.
“Hallo luv, how are you?” Nic asks when she sees Tom walk In.
“Hey sexy, you're up early,” He comes over and kisses her on the forehead.
“Ja, umm didn’t sleep so well I guess, how about you? How did you sleep babe?”
“I slept good, why didn't you sleep? Are you getting sick or something?”
“Nein, I don’t know, just have a lot on my mind is all... I’m glad you slept good babe.”
“Do you want breakfast, I can try to make you some, I can make...umm...cereal,” Tom says with a smile.
“ You’re so cute babe, actually I’m not really that hungry...but thanks...do you want me to make you something?”

“You don’t believe me Tom?” Nic says as she gets away and starts to walk away from him. Tom gets up and starts to walk after her.
“DON'T YOU F*CKING WALK AWAY FROM ME!!! You're the one that cheated on me with my own BROTHER, and you expect me not to be suspicious?”
“I didn’t f*ck Bill, Tom....It was a kiss..nothing more..” Nic turns around with tears in her eyes.
“Oh yeah right, and don't think crying is going to make me feel sorry for you!”

“YOU have done enough "talking"!! NOW GET THE F*CK AWAY FROM ME!” Nic walks over to Tom anyway and grabs his hand.

“Nothing Tom....never mind .... You want me to leave?” When Tom doesn’t answer her, she walks up behind him. “Tom, I asked you if you wanted me to leave.”

“Tomi babe...please... don’t do this,” she begs as she grabs Tom’s hand again.
“GOD ****IT NIC!” He yelled, taking her by the shoulders and shoving her onto the bed, “you stupid slut, I said stop touching me!!” Nic scooted against the headboard and sat there crying.
“Tom...you don’t mean that...I know you don’t.”
“Oh I don't? Well if you didn’t want to get treated like a *****, then you shouldn't have gone around acting like one!!”
“I WASN’T ACTING LIKE A *****! F*CK YOU TOM! I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT WITH BILL,...IT WAS A F*CKING KISS THAT’S IT!”
“Whatever, I'm not listening to your **** anymore, you f*cking disgust me,” Tom said walking out of the bedroom. Nic gets up to follow him.
“Tom I DIDN’T do ANYTHING...it was a kiss...ONE F*CKING LITTLE KISS...that was it... I’m sorry!”
“Oh and that's it? He just kissed you and you didn’t kiss him back at all? Don't try to make it seem like it wasn't a big deal when it was!”
“How do you know it was a big deal you weren’t there Tom.. ok maybe I did kiss him back but....but that’s all we did...it was ONE kiss...ONE...I came home to you didn’t I?” She asked Tom, putting her hand on his shoulder. Tom turned around and pushed her onto the couch.
“How many times do I have to tell you not to f*cking touch me?! YOU shouldn't have let him kiss you! You're just as wrong as he is In this! YOU called him, YOU went out to see him behind my back, YOU let him kiss you, and YOU ruined this relationship!”
“I didn’t go behind your back babe, I wasn’t trying to hide it Tomi. I was just ....I wanted to see Bill that was it...nothing more than that. It’s not like I wanted to sneak out so I could go f*ck your brother or something,” She said getting up and standing in front of Tom.
“Get away from me RIGHT NOW!”
“NO TOM I’M NOT LEAVING!” Tom grabs her by arm and pins her body against the wall with his own.
“You know what? Right now I don't care what happened, because as far as I'm concerned you're not my girlfriend anymore, you are NOTHING to me!” Nic bursts into tears and grabs onto the front of Tom’s shirt tightly.
“Don’t say that YOU DON’T mean that Tom, YOU DON’T! ....please....Tomi.” Tom takes her hands and untangles them from his shirt.
“ You should've thought about this before you went out to see him,” He said starting to walk away. Nic goes after him and grabs him by the shirt again.
“Don’t leave me here Tomi please....baby please I’m begging you...I’ll do anything.”
“ There's nothing that you can do to fix this,” He says sighing.
“Please, you name it, anything, I will do ANYTHING TOM...look at me....please look at me.” Tom looks down at her before quickly looking away again.
“I can never trust you again, things will never be the same…” Nic puts her hands on both sides of his face and looks up at him.
“You don’t mean that Tomi....I love you...you know I love you!”
“ You don't do this to people you love,” Tom said taking her hands away from his face.
“Tom...but I do love you, I really do...I got caught up in a stupid moment babe, and I’m sorry I wish I could erase everything that happened...I’m sorry.”
“Look I just need......I just need to be alone right now.”
“No you don’t... Tomi, you need to stay with me here babe...please.”
“I NEED to get out for a while.” He says running his hands through his dreads.
“Tomi, I’m not gonna let you leave me...please just stay...babe please,” she says as she wraps her arms around his waist tightly and presses herself against him, letting her tears soak the front of his shirt.
“What do you want me to do huh?” Tom asked sighing.
Nic hangs onto him tightly and her words are muffled by his shirt. “Don’t go, I won’t let you leave me, I need you Tomi, I love you...please.”
He takes her arms from around his waist. “Let's just...sit for a while,” he says going over to sit on the couch.
“Thank you...for not leaving,” Nic said following him to the couch and sitting down
“Don't thank me for anything just yet, I meant what I said, I don't know If I can be with you anymore.”
“ I know Tomi, but,..But I love you Tom...I really do,” She said scooting closer to him on the couch, but Tom scoots away.
“Just...sit back over there. I don't know....you’re going to have to show me that I can trust you again before I can decide if I can be with you.” Nic scoot closer to him again.
“I’ll do whatever it takes,” she says as she tries to sit on Tom’s lap.
“Nic, stop It, I told you I need some space.”
“You don’t want me to stop Tomi,” she says while wrapping her arms around his neck and looking at him. Tom takes her arms from around his neck and places them in her lap.
“ Yes, I do, that's not going to work.”
“ Tomi...I love you, don’t push me away please,” she tells him as she leans in to place a kiss on his cheek.
“Nic..don't...”
“Don’t what Tomi?” Nic asks innocently as she plays with the end of Tom’s shirt.
“Nic, don't play stupid with me. I told what it would take for us to stay together, and this isn't it.” She leans in and kisses him on the neck.
“You want me Tomi, I know you do... just kiss me... you’ll know once you kiss me...that you don’t want to leave me.” Tom grabs her and roughly pushes her down onto the couch, getting on top of her.
“I told you to STOP THAT!! Kissing you Is NOT going to solve anything, now stop acting like a slut!!” Nic grabs a hold of Tom and pulls him against her.
“Just one kiss?”
“STOP IT!! If you want someone to kiss you so bad, then I suggest you go find Bill!” Tom says as he sits back on the opposite side of the couch.
“I don’t want Bill, I want you Tomi...please,” she says crawling over to him, “Tomi let me kiss you babe,” she begs grabbing his hand. Tom snatches his hand away and stands up in front of her.
“Ha! Now I see what happened last night! You played on Bill's emotions and got him to kiss you, just like you're trying to do now! But I'm not Bill and I'm not going to fall for It!”
“What the f*ck Tom?! I didn’t do anything...He wanted to kiss me HE SAID HE WANTED TO KISS ME...so ...well he did.”
“Right...and what did you say to him huh? What did you do to make him want to kiss you so bad?”
“Nothing...I didn’t say anything…well I told him I missed him...and that...” she started looking at the ground.
“Nic I swear to god, you better tell me the truth RIGHT NOW!!”
“I Told him I missed him Tom, because I do...I did I mean. I told him that I wonder sometimes about...well If I hadn’t left that day with you...and he said he thinks the same thing too sometimes....but he knows that I love you...and I know he loves Ash..”
“Really? And that's ALL that you said? You know I'm not f*cking buying that! You had better tell me the truth and stop f*cking lying!! DID YOU COME ONTO HIM OR NOT?!?!”
“No I didn’t, not really…I just, ok at that moment... yeah I wanted him to kiss me...I did…just one last time...I did Tom, he said he wanted to so I told him to do it…” Tom takes her by the arm and lifts her from the couch, throwing her to the ground.
“I F*CKING KNEW IT YOU DISGUSTING *****!!! You make yourself seem so innocent in all of this, when it was all you! GET THE F*CK OUT!!”
“Tom please, I’m sorry” Nic says from the floor not getting up.
“Well what the f*ck are you waiting for? Get the f*ck out!” When she doesn’t move, he grabs her by the arm and walks her over to the door. He opens it and pushes her outside before slamming it shut behind her. Nic slides down the door with her face buried in her hands.
After a few hours, Tom looks outside and sees Nic still sitting on the porch. She's not wearing a jacket or anything and he knows she must be cold, he contemplates on letting her in, but he's still so angry at her. He feels bad for putting her out when she has no place to go. He opens the door and comes outside to talk to her.
“Where are you going to go?” He asks her quietly. She looks up at Tom before looking down again, shaking her head.
“I don’t know…” Tom sighs running rubbing his head with his hand.
“Why don’t you come inside for a bit?”
“Are you sure Tom?”
“Yeah come on,” he says helping her up and walking her inside. They sit on the couch in silence as Nic nervously plays with the end of her shirt.
“Tom, I really am sorry for what I did...I hope you believe that...I wasn’t thinking last night.”
Tom looks over at her sighing.”Yeah, I know, but still...”
“I’m really sorry Tomi, I understand if you don’t want to be with me anymore but I’m asking you to forgive me.”
“I don't know if I can right now, but I'm really trying.”
“Tomi, I mean Tom, I don’t want you to think I was going out last night intentionally to do that with Bill because I wasn’t.”
“Ok I believe you...” Tom says looking over at her and nodding slowly. Nic scoots closer to him.
“Then you forgive me Tomi?”
“Yeah..I guess I do.”
“ You do? Really?” She asked looking up at him
“Well like you said, I don't think you did it intentionally and I can forgive you for making a mistake...but that doesn't change the fact that it happened Nic.”
“I know babe it doesn’t change it, I mean I can’t erase what happened, but I am sorry, and really if I wanted to be with Bill then I wouldn’t have come home to you…but I did, I’m here...I love you Tomi.”
“I know you do...”
“Tomi..? What are you thinking?” She asks as she leans over to kiss him on the cheek. Tom looks over at her and pushes a strand of hair away from her face.
“I don't know...” Nic smiles and leans in to kiss him.
“You’re thinking something I can tell, it’s ok, if you don’t want to tell me.”
“I'm thinking about you,” Tom says before he grabs her by the back of the head and kisses her passionately. Nic brings her hand up to the side to Tom’s face and kisses him back. After a moment, he pulls away and looks her in the eyes.
“For me to take you back, you have to show me that I can still trust you.”
“I’ll do anything Tomi, anything you want,” she says looking into his eyes, “I promise.” Tom comes forward until their foreheads are touching.
“It's going to take time you know...”
“I know, I’ll wait as long as it takes Tom. I only want you, to be with you, that’s all.”
“Good,” Tom says bringing her forward for another kiss. Nic wraps her arm around Tom and kisses him back hoping he won’t let go. He pulls her onto his lap and deepens the kiss.
“Tomi…”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing babe,” she says leaning in and kissing his neck gently. She slides her hand up the front of his shirt. “I love you Tomi.” He lays her down on the couch and gently gets on top of her.
“I know, and I love you too.”

That same morning Ashley is in kitchen making pancakes for Bill when he walks in looking tired. He walks over to her and plants a kiss on her cheek.
“Guten morgen luv.”
“Morning darling, I'm making you some pancakes, why do you look so tired, did you not sleep well?”
“Eh so-so, I know pancakes smell good...you’re too good to me. How did you sleep luv?”
“I slept good, but I slept better when you finally came to bed,” Ashley said walking over to Bill and giving him a hug and a kiss.
“Sorry luv, I was trying to finish up some work for tomorrow I guess, I lost track of time that’s all...”
“That's alright honey, oh are you and Tom doing anything today? I was thinking about calling Nic and seeing if she wanted to go shopping.”
“Oh umm, err I’m not sure, I umm, well I haven’t talked to Tom or anything so I don’t know, ja maybe call Nic, or maybe not, maybe her and Tom are having time together I don’t know,” Bill says attempting to read through the paper that lay on the table.
“Umm ok, are you sure you're ok honey? We could just spend the day together if you want?”
“Are you sure luv? I mean I can call Tom if you want, so you and Nic can spend time together, err whatever you want.”
“Of course I'm sure, we haven't spent the whole day together in forever, and besides, Nic and Tom probably already have plans.”
“Alright luv... so ...umm, what did you want to do then babe?”
“Well, I was thinking maybe we could go to the beach, we haven't been there in forever.”
“Oh um, are you sure you want to go there babe? It’s supposed to be cold today isn’t it?”
“That's ok, I'm sure you'll keep me warm, we won't get in the water, we'll just sit on the sand and talk.”
“Alright luv, whatever you want,” he says smiling at her and going back to reading his paper quietly.
“Here baby,” Ashley says sitting a plate of pancakes in front of him.
“Oh wow, danke schon luv.”Bill sighs and pokes at the plate of pancakes she made for him feeling horrible about what he did last night. “They’re delicious...um, aren’t you going to eat luv?”
“Naw, I made them for you, I'm not really hungry,” she says with a smile. Bill continues to poke around at the food on the plate, taking small bites of food. He looks around the kitchen doing anything to avoid eye contact with her.
“What is it darling?” She asks grabbing a bottle of v8 juice and sitting beside him.
“Huh? What babe...oh nothing. Why?”
“You just seem like something's on your mind.”
“Nein, I’m ok I think, just work and things, the new album, studio time you know how that is.”
“You sure? We don't have to do anything today, you can just stay home and rest if you want?”
“No babe it’s ok, you want to go to the beach, we can really, it’s fine. Just don’t worry if my mind seems to wander is all...”
“Oh ok, I'm going to go get dressed then,” she says smiling at him before kissing him on the cheek and walking into their bedroom. Bill drops the fork onto his plate and sits there quietly thinking about what he should do. After a while Ashley emerges from the bedroom dressed.
“Ashley luv,...can you sit down for minute?”
“Yeah sure, what's up?” She asks sitting down beside him.
“Ashley, I um…I have to tell you something.”
“Ok, what is it babe?” Bill takes a deep breath before starting.
“Well I um,.. well last night, I wasn’t actually working on...well work stuff.”
“Ok...what were you working on then?”
“I wasn’t really working at all. I um, well I went out for a little bit.”
“Oh..well, where did you go?”
“I um…” He pauses for a moment before speaking again, “I went to the beach, for a little bit.”
“Oh...well I can understand that, you needed some time alone.”
“I wasn’t alone Ashley, I was with someone,” He said taking a deep breathe.
“You were with Tom...right?”
“Nein babe,...I wasn't with Tom either.”
“Then who?” She asks looking into his Bill’s eyes.
“I was with Nic,.. we went there for a while.”
“You went with...Nic to the beach? But...why?”
“Well, she called me and we were talking, she said she missed umm, getting to spend time with me, because she doesn’t want to intrude on me and you, she wanted to talk so...I asked her if she wanted to go the beach for a little while.”
“Wait a minute, you went out to the beach in the middle of the night with your ex, who just happens to be my best friend, without telling me?”
“Well I, well yea, but you were asleep and I didn’t want to wake you up and it was only for a little bit.”
“That's no excuse Bill, you shouldn't be sneaking around in the middle of the night. What did you two do?!”
“We were talking I told you that. I wasn’t sneaking around I just didn’t want to wake you up Ashley.”
“Oh really? You just talked? I don't get why you had to go to the beach of all places and "talk" in the middle of the night!”
“It was my idea to go there, I don’t know, it just seemed nice and quiet somewhere for me to take her, she missed me, she said she wanted to see me.”
“Oh so of course you went to go see her! You know I trust you Bill, and I'll believe anything you say. If you tell me that nothing happened, then fine, I'll believe you, and if something did happen, then I promise you we'll talk about it, but please don't lie to me...are you sure nothing happened last night?” Bill looks into Ashley’s eyes, then looks down at his hands.
“No...ok well...yeah something did happen.” Ashley takes a deep breathe as her eyes start to water.
“What did you do?” Bill grabs her hand.
“Don’t cry, please don’t cry babe.”
“Bill just tell me what happened.”
“Ash, I um,... I kissed Nic, well I sort of started it, we kissed each other ja.”
“YOU DID WHAT?!” Ashley yelled as she snatched her hand away form Bill’s.
“You heard me Ash..I kissed her, I kissed Nic.” She stands up and slaps Bill across the face.
“YOU ASSHOLE!!” Bill looks up at Ashley and grabs her hands in his.
“...Ash....I’m sorry...I wasn’t thinking....ok maybe I was at that moment but ...I was thinking the wrong thing...I’m really sorry.”
“Don't touch me!!” She yelled pulling her hands away, “You're SORRY?! How could you do this to me Bill? Especially with her?!
“What do you mean especially with her? What do you mean by that Ash?...I’m sorry we were talking I told you and....we started talking about how things would be if she hadn’t left mad at me that night...and she said she missed me and I told her I missed her too...”
“Are you serious Bill? She's your EX GIRLFRIEND and she's SUPPOSED to be my best friend!! And you miss her so god **** much then why the **** are you with me? You should've stayed with her!”
“That’s not what I meant I just missed being around her, I mean we never get to spend time together because I don’t know but we don’t and ja, I am being honest I missed getting to see her....but we got caught up in the moment babe I’m sorry.”
“Missing her and going out in the middle of the night to see her and KISSING her are two different things!” Ashley said as she started to cry again. “I can't believe you Bill...”
“Babe don’t cry, I wasn’t going out intentionally to go kiss her ok, I just wanted to see her that was all. She asked me where we could go, and I told her we can go to the beach and talk and that’s what we did.”
“And you had to go to the BEACH of all places to "talk"? Yeah right Bill…” She said, as she started walking away. Bill grabs her by the arm.
“Ash... what’s wrong with going to the beach to talk? Its not like I was taking her there to get in her pants or whatever...it was really just to talk..”
“You seriously see nothing wrong with what you did? Whatever Bill....I guess I deserved it right?”
“Ash I didn’t say that....I didn’t think taking her out to go talk to her was a big deal no, and what do you mean you deserved it?” Ashley just shakes her head and looks away.
“I gave you everything Bill. I risked losing my best friend for you, she didn't talk to me for two months after me and you got together. People were calling me a slut Bill! I don't understand how you could do this to me.” She leaves Bill and walks into the bedroom as he follows behind her.
“Babe I didn’t go out last night looking to hurt you ok, listen to me....we got caught up in one moment...one stupid moment...I am sorry ok ...I didn’t do anything else, it was just a kiss.” Ashley just sits down on the bed.
“Whatever Bill…” He just sighs.
“Fine...I don’t know what else to say to you now...I’m trying to apologize for a mistake that I made.... can’t you forgive me?” She looks over at him with tears in her eyes.
“You think it's just that easy Bill?”
“You’re acting like I went and slept with her! I didn’t...it was ONE KISS ASHLEY...that’s IT! One small little kiss... I could have not even told you....but I am...”
“Why are you yelling at me Bill? I'm not yelling at you, so you have no right to yell at me. And you just don't get it...”
“I don’t get what Ashley? ..... Never mind forget it....I’m gonna go out,” he says grabbing his keys.
“You're seriously mad at me? Why? I haven't done anything wrong. You're hearing what I'm saying Bill but you're not listening! So you're just going to leave me here huh? Fine...you wouldn't understand anyway...”
“Wouldn’t understand what Ashley?....I’m trying to apologize to you for a MISTAKE that I made...people make mistakes and you wont even feakin listen to me.....I kissed her....ok I’m sorry...it was one kiss...nothing more.”
“Bill, you're acting like you're mad that I don't just say everything's fine and jump into your arms. You don't know what it's like to be cheated on Bill, it doesn't feel good, I never thought you would do this to me...but I guess you're just like all the other guys I dated, but fine Bill, be mad at me...” she said turing away from him.
“Ash I didn’t say I was mad at you, I just wish you would understand that people ****ing make mistakes yeah? I’m sorry for what I did... don’t you see that...?”
“Really? Because you sure are acting like it. And I know that people make mistakes, but I know for a fact that if I had done what you did, you would never forgive me. You get so jealous Bill, but I'm not allowed to?”
“I didn’t say you weren’t allowed to but don’t make it seem like I went and screwed five different chicks because I didn’t it was ONE KISS...that’s it!”
“It doesn't matter what you did or didn't do! Cheating is cheating Bill, and you cheated emotionally! And I'm not making it "seem" like anything, it is what it is!!”
“Ok fine...ja you’re right, I cheated, you don’t have to forgive me ...ok... I’ll just leave you be then, just remember that I AM sorry. See you later, I’m going out,” he says leaving the room. Ashley gets up and stands in the doorway.
“Fine, go ahead and leave, but don't expect me to be here when you get back..” She said shutting the door and lying back down. She just lied there for what seemed like hours and finally cried herself to sleep. Bill comes back a little later and sees her still sleeping. He walks into the room and gently kisses her on the forehead. Ashley wakes up slowly and looks up at Bill.
“Hey, you're back...” Bill smiles and nods at her.
“Yea I’m back....I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have left you babe.” Ashley sits up against the headboard with her knees to her chest.
“It's ok, you just needed to cool off.” Bill sits down on the bed beside her.
“Babe....you know I love you right? And you know I wouldn’t intentionally do something like that to hurt you...ok like I said before, I made a mistake.”
“I know Bill, and I can forgive you for making a mistake.” Bill leans in and kisses the tip of her nose.
“I really am sorry babe...I love you, and I promise, I swear I will never do anything like that again ...ever...I don’t want to loose you.”
“I love you too Bill....but you have to know that it's going to take time for me to trust you again...”
“It’s alright, I understand that...it’s ok babe.”
“Thank you for understanding,” she says grabbing his hand and smiling as Bill leans in to kiss her.
