They were on their way home from a little car trip they had had.
Tom was driving his new car that he had used a lot of money on and which he was very proud of.
It was night, and it was dark outside, but that didn’t stop the twins.
“We never talk like brothers do, Tom” Bill said “It is always just band, band, band, playing, playing, playing”
“Yeah”
“I mean, we used to have a lot of fun when we were younger, and we had a better relationship”
“Yeah”
“Why can’t we just take a break from this and think about us”
“Because we have this tour we have to get through, and btw, we have days off now”
“I know, but, I want to have this vacation, and travel to a place where we are alone and just do what brothers do”
“Well, it is kinda long time to our vacation, Bill”
“I know, that is sad”
“But Bill, someday we will get our vacation and then we can do what brothers do”
“Yaay, I love you Tom”
“Yeah, yeah”
After some driving in the darkness and in the silence they stopped the car and went out to stretch their legs.
“I have actually never been here before” Bill said.
“Nah, not me either”
Bill read on the signpost
“Roadway 62”
“Huh?”
“I have heard about this distance before… On the news”
“You have?”
“Yes, it’s a ghost distance”
“You gotta be kidding with me?”
“Noo, Im not… People have been dying on this distance”
“Noo Bill that is just what people think”
“No, it is haunted, why won’t you believe me?”
“Cuz it is rubbish”
“No”
“Get in the car, or I’ll leave you here on this ghostly distance”
Bill jumped into the car and was terrified.
“There is nothing to be afraid of… You really have to stop watching these thriller movies”
“No… okay, maybe… just drive”
Tom had some problems with starting the car.
“See, that’s what I told you… It have started already”
“Shut up”
“Can’t we just go home?”
“We are on our way home”
“I mean, can’t we take some other way?”
“And drive the whole way around? No!”
“But… Okay”
Tom got his car started and they started driving again.
“Im sorry for yelling at you” Tom started.
“It’s okay”
Tom took his necklace off and gave it to Bill.
“I want you to have this; it will save you from what’s scary”
“Thank you bro” Bill said and put it around his neck. He looked at it like a child would have done on a big present.
Bill had been calming down, but was still scared, he was looking paranoid around.
“Can you stop looking around like that? You are making me nervous” Tom said and looked at Bill.
“Watch out!!!” Bill screamed and pointed on the road.
Tom got panic and tried to swing away from the thing that was standing in the road.
“Omg” Tom screamed.
“Omfg” Bill screamed too.
And they drove down the precipitous trench and straight into a tree.
“Auch” Bill said and held his hand against his head.
“Tom, are you okay?” Bill asked and looked towards the driver seat.
Tom had been crawling out of the car.
“Tom!!! Where are you?? Toooom!!!” Bill screamed.
Bill tried to crawl out of the car too, but realized very fast he was stuck.
“Toooooom!!!” Bill screamed louder, now with tears that skid down his cheek.
“Tom” He whispered out in the cold air that surrounded him.
“Hello? Are you okay?” A lady’s voice said.
Bill woke up and looked at the lady who was standing on the driver’s side.
“Hi, are you okay?” She asked again.
“Im… No… Im stuck” Bill answered with a tiny voice.
“I can help you?”
“Yeah thanks”
“No problem” She said and came into the car to help Bill.
She pushed the seat-belt button and dragged his legs out and free from under the dashboard.
Bill was then free and crawled out on the driver’s side.
When he was almost out of the car he knocked his head against the roof of the car and fainted.
He woke up again and sat stuck in the seat-belt.
“Woow” Bill let out “What happened?”
“Why am I still stuck? Was it a dream? Yes it was… Omg…”
Bill was a speechless and shocked, but he had been studying what the lady did when she got him free, so he did the same thing.
And he crawled out on the driver’s side; carefully that he didn’t knock his head again.
He looked for Tom around the car, but didn’t find him, so he decided to walk to the road and maybe borrow a phone, cuz his was dead.
He ran up to the road and luckily it come a car. Bill jumped out in the road and in front of the car.
The car stopped right in front of him. In the car there was a woman and a man.
“You have to help me!” Bill said to them.
The lady scrolled down the window and looked at Bill.
“Please” Bill said.
“What happened?” The man asked.
“I was in a car accident with my brother, and now my brother is gone, and I can’t find him. Do you have a phone that I can borrow?” Bill answered.
“Ehm… Haven’t we seen you before?” The lady asked.
“I don’t know”
“Yes, you were in the band… What was it name?”
“Tokio Hotel?” Bill asked, though he was sure it was that.
“Yes”
“Yes I am”
“Well, we know where you brother is” The man said.
“You do? Where? Is he alive?”
“Yeah, he live in the city”
“Are you sure?”
“Are your brother’s name, Tom Kaulitz?”
“Yes”
“Then it is him. Jump in”
“Wee… Thank you” Bill said and jumped into the car.
They stopped outside a house, it was big.
“Here do he live” The man said.
“Yaay” Bill said and went out of the car with a smile around his mouth.
Bill almost jumped of happiness.
He started walking towards the house.
“I wouldn’t be going in there” The man said.
Bill turned around.
“Why not?”
The man started explaining the whole story.
“You aren’t like him anymore, Bill. You aren’t like any of us anymore. You belong to the other side”
“What do you mean?” Bill said all serious.
“Your accident wasn’t today, or yesterday, Bill. It was for 7 years ago”
Bill was shocked.
“But…”
“One of you survived, and that wasn’t you”
A tear ran down Bill’s cheek and he lowers his head.
“Am I… Dead?” Bill asked in confusion.
“Yes. You only see what your eyes want you to see”
“I am dead” Bill said and looked at his hands. More tears ran down his cheek.
Bill turned around to Tom’s house again and then he walked to the open window and looked in.
There was Tom, playing with two kids on the floor, one girl and one boy, looked like twins actually.
A woman came walking into the room and stopped beside Tom.
Tom rose up and kissed her lips.
“Hi sweetie” He said.
Another tear fell down Bill’s cheek.
“Hi”
The woman picked up the little girl and went into the kitchen.
“Do you take Bill?” She said.
“Yeap” Tom said and picked up the little boy.
“Bill” Bill whispered and a tear fell again.
Bill remembered the necklace his brother Tom gave to him when he was scared.
He pulled it off his neck and hung it on the window knob.
Then Bill turned around and walked into the light.
“Can you close the window sweetie” The woman said.
“Of course” Tom said and went to close the window.
Tom saw the necklace hanging on the knob to the window and started immediately to think of Bill.
“I love you too, Bill” Tom whispered out before he closed the window.
