Tokio Hotel: Til When?
http://musica.terra.es/addon/img/musica/19d1609tokiohotelp.jpg
Next October 5 it will go out to the sale 'Humanoid', the third and new album of one of these projects which success will stay always as one more crux between so many other mysteries. If someone had some doubt in the matter, here the proof is: the infamous thing, also it sells.
What would be from Tokio Hotel without the hormonal revolution of a few disoriented teenagers? The above mentioned are looked, experience too much little and, in spite of being sure otherwise, his aesthetic tastes imposed by the television, the radio or magazines, leave very much that to wish.
They confuse "rock" with "prefabricated sound", "art" with "advertising" and they define wrongly like emos, nevertheless a movement of ends of the 80 that nothing has to see with the arrtificialidad of these bands to that they listen, like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore or the same Tokio Hotel.
Probably these youngsters led by Bill Kaulitz, a vocalist adrogyne of unbearable hairdo, have sold million copies for the entire and received world innumerable remunerations but, from when is it a trustworthy criterion at the moment of distinguishing the good of the evil?
MANY SOLD DISCS
Even the own components of the quartet seem to be surprised by the success through that they are living:
"Always we have wanted to make music, touch directly. But it never happened to us to think that it was possible to make real. It is the past one what is happening to us".
While the great majority of his followers spread innumerable odes to the suicide across cybernetic blogs, are photographed sad and depressed by the digital camera of his parents, Tokio Hotel they are on the verge of finishing the one that will be the successor of "Zimmer 483". According to words of the producer David Jost, the strategically titled "Humanoid" for his international name, will have "rare influences from the science fiction" with songs "strong, dark and full of guitars".
Three albums (and without "Scream" counts) in only four years. The persons in charge of the survival of the group seem to have realized. It is necessary to hurry up, exploit them up to the last drop before it is too much late… before this mode so artificial as ephemeral shows his first symptoms of weakness.
Because Tokio Hotel is not a question of love towards the aesthetics but a simple passional adventure with the economy of the record empire.
Thanx to LoRe @ thus for translation.

Mm, that is a rather scathing article, isn't it?

yes, it is. Just read it on THUS. basically, the author is saying the fans do not know any better. We can't possibly know what good music sounds like. in fact, even the band itself doesn't know!

I hate it when people judge others.
I sense jealousy....
Or a total misconception of TH's fans' brains.
Most aren't crazy.
It's the few that give the sane a bad rep.

I love all kinds of music. the guy that wrote that article is a closed minded *** like tons of other people that think the only 'good music' is like The Beatles or something.
but whatever haha!

ja seriously -_-
i hate when people speak for me... it makes me really angry. And to judge me on my taste of music... that's like a slap in the face. Like there's something wrong with me because i listen to a certain band. I wish i could meet the person that wrote this in person so i can tell them in person to go **** themselves...

Wow, taking your time trying to make an intelligent rant of why you dislike a certain artist/band, and its fans, fails, and makes you look like a snarky, immature, dumbass.

I like the beatles.
haha yeah they are good! I didn't say there weren't lmao
but like there are just some people that think the ONLY good music is a certain band like that, you know? and don't give anyone else a chance or say they are bad. it's annoying.

Yeah IKR plus it depends on people's personal tastes anyway. Just becuz you don't like it that doesn't mean that it's like the worst thing ever. Some people like apples and some people don't. ugh lmao That doesn't mean apples don't taste good or it's the worst thing ever. It means that's not what you like so move on. lol

The insulting of one's musical tastes aside;this artical raises an excellent point. Tokio Hotel will only last so long with all the demands of the fandom that are imposed upon them. They are still only human and have their limits like we do. "More, more, more" that's all they ever hear from us now and it's never enough.Bill's message,Tom's blog, the announcment of Humanoid; all of it created to satiate us. I have great fear that Humanoid will be horrible because of the rush that was put on it. Music is art,is passion, is soulfull, and all that requires time to properly create. We,the fans, have helped shape Tokio Hotel and given life to it. As such,do we unknowingly hold the power to destroy it with the scourge of our greed.

well put... and i don't see that as a problem. I myself don't mind if the guys take some time off... actually i want them to. God knows they need it. And although i jokingly complain about them pushing the album back, i honestly don't care. I want them to want to come back... i don't want to feel as if their coming back so soon to appease everyone else. I do not want to bleed these guys dry until they can't give me anything else. I guess some fans just can't see how stressful their lives really are. Trying to get everything out by a certain deadline so fans don't lose interest or hope in them. It's sad. I just hope whenever they do come back, that they aren't drained or unhappy.''
And if they are, i'm sure if Char and I run into them we can show them a freaking hilarious time

Yeah, I get it. :) Even some bands I say I don't like, I have to admit had a couple good songs. I don't think any one band can be all good music. All bands have good and bad songs. (except TH, all of those are awsome )
Actually, this is off topic...so I'll stop spamming. :P

I hope tokio hotel will ignore critics like this one.
Some rock stars can get really effected by what critics say and then try to cater to them. I always felt that's what happened to Ricky Martin's career.
Ricky Martin wrote many of his own lyrics. They were beautiful ballads. He had help with music etc, from big names like Desmond Child because he was so famous he could afford to work with the best. It was unigue pop/romatic/latin music and it suited him perfectly. I’ve seen his old concerts and they were amazing.
Critics started to shoot him down, because he had it all, looks and talent and great press. As soon as a rock star is at the top, all the critics say it’s fake or not good. They said martins music was forced salsa and a marketing idea.
Then Ricky Martin decided to try something completely different and it sounded forced. I forget what the name of the album was, it was his last one. I'm all for an artist experimenting and trying different things, but he seemed to stray completely from his old style because of critics.
“Shake your bon bon” was a fun song. It sold millions but he got such hate from critics for it, he said he would never sing it again.
I don’t go by what critics say anymore. If I like it and the singer likes singing it - perfect!

I agree with everything you said....except for the bolded.
Now, of course whther or not a song is bad depends on the taste of the person who is listening, but in my opinion, even TH has some not-so-good songs.
No band is perfect, but then again, no band is completely awful either...
Even the Jonas brothers have some good songs!
--------
As for the critic....I'm not going to flat out call him a dumbass and insult this guy for his opinion, because for some fans...what he's saying is true. Some people wouldn't even be fans of the band if it weren't for their good looks. Some really don't give a rat's you-know-what about the music...which is pretty sad.

I've heard some TH songs i don't care for. And they're mainly their English songs... I prefer their German albums... and I love all their German songs... but some of the English ones kinda don't make sense when you listen to the lyrics

I do think that the guys seem to be kind of rushing this album. I know bands that take forever to make a new album but it's totally worth waiting for, because it's amazing :P
I really hope that they aren't going to be unhappy and too stressed because they're working so much ]:
