I know about the fanmail and how to send it, but can you send in both a letter and an autograph request? In one envelope and also include some fanart? Some feedback is much abliged, thanks. :D

If you want an autograph, you need to include a self addressed stamped envelope with correct postage to get it back to you.

No, what I meant is that can you send BOTH the autograph request and the fanmail in ONE envelope, instead of two? If not, that's okay; but I was kinda hoping that I'll be able to save a little money that way.

You can send it altogether in one envelope. The second one is just to get your autograph BACK to you. :)

Yeps. You send them an envelope with the address and postage to get it back, you should get an autograph. That's how it usually works.

when you say postage you mean, if you send the post stamps needed to get it back to you, and the envelope, piece of paper/ pic to sign...and they'll just send it back?!
that's pretty cool....;)

Being a frequently asked question, the fanmail address is in the FAQ. But, here:
Tokio Hotel
c/o Universal Music
Stralauer Allee 1
10245 Berlin Germany

How many stamps do you have to use? And do I have to write alot to get the autograph thingy because I'm writing one sentence. lol

International postage is 98 cents. You need to affix an international postage coupon to the SASE to get it back, since Germany doesn't use US currency, but you can get those at the post office easy enough. :)
I don't think that you have to write an entire novel to them to get anything back if you send them the envelope. :)

Do you think it would be ok to send them gifts? Like some of their favorite things or something?
So like send a box w/ letter, SASE, and a little small something for each of the guys, like skittles or peppermint tea or something?
Also do we have to send a piece of paper or photo for them to sign? or do they use their own?
THDGaja

Feel more than free to send them gifts.
I'm pretty sure that they have their own stock of photos they send out.

Do you think the band reads their fanmail? I imagine them having a group of people filtering through the letters to pick out interesting ones and putting aside the "I LOVE YOU OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH PLZ COME TO [place]" letters.
I'm planning on mailing a letter to them, and I read it'll take 3 months if you want an autograph back, but we only want them to read our letter....

I'm sure they do read them if it isn't the "omg i love you" ones...I wrote a letter once to a singer when I was 14 to test and see if I'd get a response back or not...I did get a response on a postcard lol. He even answered my questions I had asked hahaha.

Sour candy, but not way sour like Warheads. Bill tried that once and looked like he wanted to cry, it was so funny. I'm pretty sure gummies, too. So sour gummies would be a good choice.

so you mean that inside one envelope you put in the letter, request etc... and you put the second one in the first envelope aswell with the other stuff? and if i would be sending them presents how do i send them? in a large envelope or like a bag or something?
btw can we send petitions aswell through fanmail?
THDGaja
October 9th, 2009, 04:11 PM
You could send it in a larger envelope or in a box.
As to petitions...it's mail. You can send them whatever you want as long as it isn't illegal or alive.

K so since this is here....
I made this thread in the Contest/games area for everybody that wants to send anything to the guys. I thought it would be really nice, and well if anyone is interested in sending something to them I will be printing off everything that is posted there for them, and putting in a notebook, then sending it via first class mail to the guys. My signature has the link.... Just thought I would let you all know that it is there and will be there still until someday between the twin's and Gustav's b-day this year... Hope you get what you want sent...
If this is not aloud here I am sorry... I am just wanting to let everybody have a fair chance at getting things they wish would get to the guys to them... So help spread the word to other fans..
Thanks,
Sonja

Well is it possible to send letters to the guys other than spamming the forum? Can we make a new thread somewhere to do this because this is a really nice idea.
THDGaja
July 5th, 2011, 04:40 PM
It is fully possible to send letters to the guys, which is why their fanmail address is one of the first posts in the FAQ.
By spamming the forum, I was referring to the fact that the above poster had posted a copy/paste of the same post in at least four different threads, which is considered spamming. Also, if you look, she has a link in her signature to get to a thread about sending the boys things, and as there is already a thread, posting another thread about the same thing would be considered spamming as well. So there's no need to make a new thread, for it will just get locked as a double at this point.

Ah! Danke! See this is why we have you guys lolz. One question though,In order to send the guys autograph requests we have to Put into an envelope : 1 international postage coupon, 1 extra envelope, the letter/request or whatever and 1 extra postage stamp?
THDGaja
July 5th, 2011, 04:54 PM
You need a self addressed stamped envelope (stamped in this case being the international postage coupon, unless you're in Germany in which case I bet they take their own stamps there). Aside from that you can include a note or a card or whatever you want to send them.

Is there a separate fan mail that goes directly to Bill and Tom, like a P.O. box near them?
Because i made a Birthday card for Bill and Tom (its huge) and i'm planning to send it tomorrow, Monday, and i know that they are going to get it late but the fan mail i saw goes to the Berlin fan mail. is there a fan mail to Cali?

I've always been too shy to send them something, but I thought before about making some sweets or something, but I was afraid that they wouldn't eat it, because of safety issues ( I think they mentioned that people have mailed them drugs or something before, but I'm not sure.) I don't know. I thought about making them something nice to wear, or sending them something interesting from the place I live. Maybe you could make them something beautiful or cool, or send them something neat about where you live.

Not wishing to burst you guys' bubble, but you might wanna check if the candies are vegetarian, if you are sending them to the twins. Skittles and many, many gummy candies have gelatine in them, so the twins might not eat them anymore. There are some gummy candies by some brands (like "Annie's" Gummy Bunnies), that are specifically vegetarian:).

Take an envelope, write your address on it as the 'mail to' address. Affix sufficient postage to it (internationally you'll need a postage coupon, which you can get at the post office, I believe). Put that envelope in the envelope with your letter/card/whatever you're sending. Done and done.
