I just now got around to watching this. Tom looks like he wants to cry again, like he did in the Nokia interview. I don't like seeing this. :sad1:
I do like seeing all of Bill's arms. He's got some little muscles. This pleases me.

Bill seems fine, maybe slightly more toned down than usual, but Tom seems as if some profound sadness has overcome him. I didn't notice it in THTV, just the interviews.

I have to agree with you.
It confuses me, because from time to time they seem to be happy and lively and all, but in interviews like this it's really hard to find any sign of enthusiasm there. Where is the life that bursted out just a year or two ago? Sometimes it seems to be missing completely.
I noticed some signs of it on TH TV too. A hint of sadness was popping out from everywhere. Bittersweetness. For me they really try, but it's failing slightly almost all the time.
Do we know, why? No. Can we do anything about it? No. Are we just seeing things what we want to see and making wrong conclusions? It's possible. It's kind of sad to understand my own helpless here. It sucks.

Well, the boys are back to work now. and what I mean by that is they will be away from home, family and friends for the remainder of the year in order to promote this album. Perhaps, that is the source of their sadness. Sure, they must be happy that they are back out in public, seeing their fans, talking about their music. But, they must leave the ones they love all over again and begin the constant traveling/checking in/out of hotel rooms day in and day out.

But they've done that on their previous tours. Why should this one be different?
.troy.
September 3rd, 2009, 10:28 AM
Yeah I agree, in interviews from before they always seemed happy and lively, even though theywere on tour and had left their family and friends behind.
If they are sad, I think it's something more than just leaving home. They've done it before so they should be fine...
They could also just be really tired.

Look at 2:03. Both Tom and Bill start to answer a question, Bill takes over and Tom shuts up and looks miffed. Maybe after all these years, he's finally getting fed up with Bill doing all the talking.
But really, I miss the old, jovial Tom. I hope he's feeling okay. :sad1:

Viva: And speaking on science-fiction, How you imagine the future small?
Bill: I hope that it is () in the future, so that I am a great one fan of him.
Tom: I would like flying cars.
Bill: Yes! Car flying and robots commanding around, would be cool.
Georg: and a Beamer would be tuna
Bill: Well! Certainly radiating, because we hated all them to fly (in airplanes) and waste long time in it. So nobody exposes something like that, it would be first in trying it.
Tom: I would like to have aliens in the planet here.
Bill: I also!
Tom: And who already found one?
Gustav: I no
Georg & Bill: I either.
Viva: Nobody has. (: And there are some things that temeis for the future?
Bill: Pardon?
Viva: There are some things to which temeis for the future?
Bill: Ehm, *Piensa* Perhaps if, many of the things are made by machines and it is not nothing for the humans. This would be really sad, reason why we really must put attention to this. The human things only must remain, for example when you go to a store and is only robots, nonmachines. This would not be pleasant.
Tom: But he would be cool when you have a robot that makes all the things by you. Clear that those things always have their negative sides.
Georg: And in your bed? Also *Risas* would be cool
Tom: If, clearly *Risas^
Viva: Eh, if, immediately. So the time between the last album and this new one, many things happened. You are successful in foreign countries He makes easier for you? Or you feel many more pressure by this?
Bill: Clear that now there is pressure. When you are writing a letter you think Santa Mierda! Many people will listen to this, now I must write a song that thousands of people will listen. This puts nervisos to me. But in addition we have used the success, we recorded our album in attractive studies, with attractive techniques. These are the positive things that you can use. Definitively, it is not necessary to think too much that all the people who will listen to my song, but that is very hard. You always know that much people will speak to envelope it and to some she will hate it people and pisoteará.
Tom: But the pressure really gets to be superior.
Bill: Yeah.
Viva: So it was easier to work with your mind: Nobody knows and nobody delay me nothing
Bill: If, he is calmer. Later there was no time pressure. There was nobody said Boys you must finish the fast album! Here our company did it to disc. To finale limit was made us the date, so that we could not find the end. We never had the idea that it was done and perfect. Always we wanted to make it more perfect and major. Somebody had to tell To hope us, the disc already is finished, podeís not to do nothing else in. Otherwise never it finishes, never I have the idea that he is perfect. And later you are going to finish volviendote simply crazy and we wanted again to change some things.
Tom: If, reason why we were the one who we put the date limit. We said to a record company: Okey, we are going to plan it for October. This way we knew whichever had left.
Viva: Bill, you say that to much it will hate it people and pisoteará in the ground. This is always when tieneéxito people, are many criticisms also. How you solve in this way?
Bill: I must say, that for us there is nothing no new. When I and Tom were 9 years old and left the city, always there was people who hated to us. I believe that it is normal when now I am seated with a camera here, to everybody does not like.
Tom: To be honest, if somebody has criticized to us or no, it does not matter to me. I never took the commentary like serious.
Bill: If, we must thank for that people so that she causes that people speak to envelope we. It would be worse when if nobody spoke to envelope we. In addition most of the time we ***reflxed mng ourselves of it. And clear that it is brilliant that continues being people like us; -)
It's probably a cruddy translation of it, I got it from here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlMg01qQh5o), and translated it from Spanish to English on Babelfish. :/

That's what I've been thinking of. They are just at the starting line of this upcoming circus and if they are alreaduy stressed about it.... I hope they'll be okay and just a bit tired or something. They have, after all, lots of things ahead and not so much time to relax.

Part 3 translation:
translation by BKth4e
R: But you had these spectulary performance...i believe at the VMA's...with the water
T and B: No...it was at the EMA's
R: Yeah, EMA's. I have the feeling, that this was some kind of breaking point in your carrier. Because many people, who did not have you on their mind...suddenly said, wow what was this? Do you feel the same...do you draw self-esteem from this day?
B: Well i have to say..these are moments on the stage, even if people start to boo...these are moments, from which you don't get nervous or scared...you rather get more power .you really feel motivated to make a good performance. The EMA's were a big deal for us. Of course we knew, that it was going to rain on the stage...We had thought about it and thought it out. We were excited about the reaction. But at least, we are very satisfied with the performance and happy that it worked out and proud of it. Of course this is a point in our carrier, you never forget. This stays forever...and if i watch it or see pictures...yeah..it was truely a cool performance.
R: Do you have the feeling, people from different countries spot on you in a different way than in Germany?
B: Ja...in some way it looks like.. such strange people who hate us so much and would love to kill us...they are in every country. It is automatic...first Fan...first hater.
T. But...honestly you are never completly aware of how people in different countries spot on you. You only get a piece of it...even in Germany we don't know 100%.. we only get a fraction from what people know about us.
B. and...in some countries, we have been much older. In some countries...Tom and I have been already 18 years old, when our first single appeared. At that moment, for most of them...age does not play a role anymore. They listen at once to the music and do not focus on the age.. I believe...and i can understand...some have problems with the age...because who really wants to admit, that you love music from 15 years old idiots. Nobody wants this..and you can understand it. So from that point of view....it is different...but in every country there are haters.
R: Well. for example in sweden...i have the feeling...your T-Shirt have been rather sold in punk-stores in difference to here...people seem to spot on you in a different way.
B: Ja...
T: Ja..it varies from country to country... but as i said, we get only little pieces of it.. At first..we don't speak the language from the countries, where we are succesful...and we don't get what people write about us...the reporting is always important...and everybody has a different view...who knows what somebody write about us in an italian newspaper...i have no clue
R: And where are the most hysterical fans?
T: Well, you have to say it was throughout positiv. The cool thing was...that we had already fans in every country. The fans made it easier for us..to get the attention to be succesful. Because it is truely difficult for a german band...It is indeed not the same, if you are successful in France...that the Italians start also to report about you. It is always the same...you start from scratch. Because the whole record-companies and reporters always say...a german band...it is not in our interest and they will never be successful. So our fans made it easier for us...it did not matter which country we visted...from the begining the fans were there and it has grown. From the begining there were support. It was really everywhere very positiv
R: But you can not specify where the most hysterical fans are?
B: No...i could not specify one country. In every country they have been special moments, special expierences...when you think...wow..that was bad..today it has been very tough
T: Where realy a hysterical fan-reaction happend, was for example in mexico on the first day. We went there, because we had a signing session ...
B. It is very often a true surprise. You never think about the fact, that you could be succesful in these countries. We have never been there, never visited the country and then you arrive, get off the plane and suddenly you see , thousands of people are waiting for you at the airport...or you do your first perfomance ...and they are quite a lot of fans. You never think about that...ok...in some way you knew it...but you never expect it to be so huge. There are moments you realy get a surprise. But in the end...you have such expierences in every country

Translation part 4:
R: And you are basically always followed everywhere, are under extreme public scrutiny, sometimes write 1000 autograph in a row and things like that - do you sometimes get the feeling that it's too much for you?
B: Yes, that happens sometimes. There are days where you think: Today I cannot go in front of a camera, today I cannot hold my face into some camera again and today I also don't want to and I don't feel like it. That does happen. On some days, you curse it, that you are so much under public scrutiny. When you just want to go somewhere, that's not possible. We can't just decide spontaneously that we want to go out there and eat some ice-cream or something. Basically the whole year, or everything you do, is always planned and organized, and there's no room for spontaneous decisions. So there are moments when you think "I can't go on" or "I don't want this any more". But then on the other hand you want to make new music again, and then you stand on a stage again in front of thousands of fans and think "I have the most awesome life possible". There are both kinds of moments. But there definitely comes the time, as with everybody, when you curse it.
R: And do you have strategies to cope with it, with stress or pressure? How do you distract yourselves?
B: Basically, you return to the people who knew you long before the career - family, friends and so on. People who don't talk with you about it at all, and for whom TH doesn't matter at all. Who simply see something totally different. And it's good to have these people, to see old friends and to spend time with your family. That's basically the only thing you can do.
T: Apart from that, a formula against stress, so that we feel all great or so, doesn't exist. When we have stress, we feel terrible, and we're down and need everyday lots of coffee and energy drinks and...
B: But we spend lots of time with our dogs..
T: Dogs are...
B: Dogs definitely make you extremely happy. I couldn't imagine a life without my dogs. They cheer you up when you have stress. No matter how tired you are or how terrible you look or whether you are exhausted - they are always happy and are, like...
T:...unconditional.
B: Unconditional.
R: Do you also take them with you on tour?
T: We try to. Of course it's always pretty difficult. There is no such thing as an "animal airline". I think it would cool if someday there would be an animal airline
B: That must happen!
T: It must. Apart from that, it's difficult to fly with dogs, esp. with big dogs. It's a bit better with small ones. But we try to manage it as often as possible.
B: When we're traveling with the tour bus, we have a dog with us... but when we're flying, it usually doesn't work.
R: What kind of dogs do you have?
B: We have two big ones...
T: Exactly. Two big ones, a German Shorthaired Pointer and a Doberman-Labrador mix, and two little dogs, two Dackels [Dachshunds].
B: Yeah. They're all "saved", btw. . That's why it's such a strange combination. People always ask "Huh? Did you choose those?" - we saved all of them. The first one, e.g., the Labrador mix, is from the animal shelter, also the German Shorthaired and all of them, they're all basically saved from the animal shelter, that's why it's a bit of a strange combination, concerning the breeds.
R: And where are they when you aren't there? When you're in Mexico e.g.?
B: Then they're with our parents. We have a big estate and they run around outside all the time. I could imagine to have, like, a dog farm some day, where you have 30-40 dogs running around your estate all the time...
T: Yeah.
R: And how is it when you come from Mexico or NY or LA, which is even more amazing, back home to Magdeburg? What kind of feeling is that?
B: Well, Tom and I don't really go back there. We haven't been there for a long time...
T: But you have to say that it sounds always so awesome when you come from a metropolis and go back to a little town: We don't see very much from the Metropolis nor the little town. The airports look basically the same everywhere and hotels are the same crap everywhere *laughs*, and you don't really... there's no big difference whether you're in a big or a small town, because we don't see much from the city itself.
B: Usually, you don't see much. Unless you have a free day. If I could choose a place to live, it definitely wouldn't be Magdeburg, so...
Ge: Now, wait a second...
B: Ok, these two, Georg and Gustav, still live in Magdeburg and they enjoy it.
R: Why do you like it? What do you associate with Magdeburg?
Ge: We just grew up there, both of us. Our families are there, all our friends are there, and, um... it's a bit different with Bill and Tom. You were always moving house, from one place to another...
B: I had never... Tom and I never had this feeling to be at home, this connection with any town. To me it never did matter where I was and who was living around me, but rather, with what kind of people I'm hanging out and whether my family is there. Whenever the people I like are there I feel at home. So it never really played a role...
T: But let us not forget about the beautiful architecture of Magdeburg *laughs*
Ge: The phat party scene... They raise **** every single night...
R: I only know the zoo there...
T: That's not bad, either...
Ge: The zoo? Wasn't it renovated just now?
R: It's being renovated massively right now. I was there recently, it's one big construction site.
Ge: But just now it was re-opened.
Gu: Yesterday they re-opened it.
R: Ah, the one building! The other one not yet, they're still building one new one.
Ge: Are they?
B: Oh, Magdeburgers among themselves... you can meet up afterwards.
Ge: You know the place?!
R: I know the zoo. I've been there a couple of times, because I always drive by.
T: Couldn't we play a concert, at the re-opening?
Ge: In the monkey house, for example.
T: Yeah, in the monkey house...
B: That would be cool.
R: I think they would definitely like that. If you propose it to them, imagine what they'd say, how happy they'd be!
Translation part5:
R: Is it true that Jay Z invited you to dinner?
T: Hm... I don't think that Jay Z paid, to be honest.
B: Yeah, I don't really know...
T: I don't know who invited whom.
B: He was at one of our concerts. But we didn't know beforehand, it was more of a spontaneous thing, we didn't know that he would be there. We just learned of it shortly before. And, yeah, afterwards we all went to eat something together. But I don't know who invited whom.
T: I think the record label paid.
B: Yeah, I think so, too.
R: And in situations like these, do you feel equal - or do you still feel a bit "small"?
B: You don't really think about it. Sure, sometimes you're nervous when you meet other people, but you don't think about it. In the end, you just have a normal conversation... You don't really think about it. When you remember how many records he has sold... but you don't do that in that moment.
R: And of all the people you've met, who has impressed you most? Is it possible to say that?
Ge: I personally have always been most impressed by Tom.
T: Yeah... but of course, that would be setting the bar a bit high... But I have to say, for me personally, ... Jay Z was nice...
B: A highlight.
T: ... to meet him. George hasn't met his idol yet, it's still David Hasselhoff.
Ge: Yeah, but... um...
T: He hasn't had the chance to meet him in person yet. And apart from that, it's always just these fleeting...
B: ...encounters.
T: ...encounters. Like, at EMAs or VMAs, you meet everybody from Britney Spears to whomever else there is... I mean, everybody is there. But it's, like, you see them in the corridor, and you say "Hi" quickly, and then everybody has his own appointments, and there isn't much time for much conversation or to get to really know somebody. So, hard to say... but dinner with Jay Z was a pleasant evening.
R: Pleasant evening. Cool. So... you'd like to meet David Hasselhoff... whom would you like to meet?
T: I'd like to meet Jessica Alba.
Ge: Really? That's a new one...
B: I can't really think of somebody I'd like to meet... Ah, wait: I'd like to meet Steven Tyler.
T: Him I'd also like to meet. I'd also like to meet Aerosmith.
B: Yeah, I'd like to meet Aerosmith.
T: Whom would you like to meet?
Gu: I think I'd like to meet Steve Jobs.
R: Somebody far from the music scene for a change...
Gu: Just to let him tell some stories about his life.
R: Ok, Steve Jobs... And whom would you love to give a talking-to?
B: Ohhh....
T: Whoa... there would be quite a few...
Ge: there would be quite a few...
T: But we can't talk about that here.
B: But it aren't public persons, I think.
T: Nah, there are some in the public...
B: Yeah?! Then have a go, Tom.
T: No, no... I'm not allowed to tell that here. But there definitely are some...
Ge: ...special friends.
T: But we don't want to go into that.
R: No politician or something like that?
T: Politician?
Ge: Among others...
T: Yeah?
B: Are politicians on this list for you?
T: For me, it wouldn't be politicians in the first place.
Ge: Ok, for me neither. But... they would deserve a talking-to.
R: Journalists?
B: Oh yes.
T: Oh, there would be quite a few journalists...
Ge: I didn't even think of journalistst!
T: There would be quite a few journalists. But, I mean... you often just let it go. I mean, sometimes there are situations where you could give them a talking-to, but...
B: Some journalists we gave a talking-to.
T: With journalists, we did that. But there are, like, other collegues whom you'd love to tell som things... but one just doesn't do it. Usually, you try to be nice.
R: Just too well-behaved...
B/T: Yeah
T: One has to say, we're very friendly, in my opinion, aren't we?
Ge: At times, too friendly.
T: Yeah. There are other collegues who aren't as nice.
R: I can confirm that.
R: And with all these awards, is there on that stands out?
B: I think the VMA is something very special. One is extremely proud of that. It was one of these moments - and I know everybody says this all day long - but we really didn't expect that, really to 0%. That came as a complete surprise. And that was a moment you don't forget.
T: And apart from that, of course all VIVA/MTV - awards ;).
B: Yes ;).
T: Comet... actually, how many do we have? Comets?
Ge: Dunno...
T: We have a lot of Comets.
B: A lot.
Ge: 8?
[woman in background: I think so...]
Ge: 9?
T: 9, 10, 11? Something like that?
T: Anyways, we have lots of Comets. The Comet for example was our first award. You have to say, that was our first music award we won. And apart from that, of course the first EMA, that's also something special, and VMA... it really are VIVA and MTV awards that always are extremely important. For you have to say... VIVA and MTV... we are friends of this... they are, like, the last music channels that still are around. Although generally they could play a bit more music. But that are generally the big music events: VMAs, EMAs - we always like to go to these events.
R: And is there an award that you'd still like to win?
T: Um... Grammys, I'd say.
B: Yeah, a Grammy. *laughs* Of course, that's ridiculous, but in the end, that's what every musician wants. So that would be one very, very remote goal.
R: Or an Oscar.
B: Yeah, an Oscar would be awesome.
Ge: For best soundtrack.
B/T: Right!
R: And whom would you like to give an award to? And what for?
B: Whom would I like to give an award to...
T: I'd like to give one to Bill, for "Unsexiest Woman".
B: Yeah?! I think I already did win that one.
T: Did you? But I'd still like to give it especially to you.
B: Ok, that's sweet.
Ge: As a special category...
T: And apart from that...
Ge: To my mommy...
T: For...?!
Ge: Best mommy of...
B: For the good food, or what?
Ge: Yeah.
R: And what can one give you to make you happy?
B: Long sleep. And my own bed. If I could, I'd pack my own bed and take it with me everywhere. Because that is real luxury. To sleep in your own bed, and to sleep long... Thing is, I always have to get up with an alarm clock. Even if I go to bed at midnight, and have to wake up at 4 pm, I still have to set an alarm clock. I don't wake up at 4pm just like that. I think if I wouldn't set an alarm clock, then someday I won't wake up any more, I think.
Ge: That would be dreadful. Imagine you forget it some day...
B: I hope there'll at least be some dog that wakes me up...
T: Alarm clocks. I hate alarm clock.
B: Yeah... but own bed and long sleep. Yeah.
R: Very important prerequisites. And what's your goal for the new album? Do you have one?
B: Basically, what we want is to do a world tour. That's a dream of us to someday tour around the whole world. Apart from that...
T: Tokyo, some day...
B: Exactly. But apart from that, we haven't that big goals. Because, if it goes as before, then we'd be more than happy.
T: Let me just say: Also with the music awards. If it would go an as it has so far, that would also be totally ok. We're completely happy with the previous albums, and everything went completely above all our expectations, and if it remains only remotely like that, we'd be absolutely happy. But we'd definitely like to go to Tokyo.
R: That's the long-term goal. Or are there even more long-term goals?
T: Of course, our long-term goal is to bring out 10 more successful albums. But the next goals are Tokyo, and to play a really phat tour.
love, alex.

Sad that they have more chances of opening a dog shelter than I do.
Because of my love for animals and my childhood dream to be a vet, I'd always wanted to have like a Dog Rescue Shelter and Society, but that requires people, money, and lots of bureaucracy that I can't get. >.< Meh. thanks so much, mollie! <3

haha I know! which is why if the whole photography/music business thing doesn't work out, I'm working at an animal shelter. not a vet place though, I can't stand hurt animals :sad1:
like I LOVE how at times my cousins sometimes take in dogs. like they housetrain them and **** so they're more likely to get adopted because some people don't like to housetrain animals.
I want to get a dog when I'm older but I don't know how they'd like an apartment/duplex :-? I won't have enough money for a house so I'll have to settle for one of those.

They did lose? That's interesting. I didn't know that. That definitely was an interesting statement from Tom. It kind of left hanging loose and never slipped out what happened between them. And whose idea it was to chitchat on every possible forum and media about it in a first place? It didn't feel like something TH would approve.
Ok, enough of that. There's million comments about that anyways. Just interesting comment from boys there.

hmmm that's true... but some dogs you can leave on their own for a bit. It depends on the type of dog though. With the right training it could work. the older the dog, the longer you can leave him alone without him trying to look for trouble lmfao (i watch waaaay too much "It's me or the Dog"). And if your job is close enough to home, you can always take your dog outside to use the bathroom during your lunch break and then go back to work. Right now would be the perfect time for me to train a dog, but alas i can't have one :[

Tom was totally irritated at everything Bill was saying after that point!   The only thing missing was eye rolling, but he came close! I've grown a little tired of analyzing, but if I had to guess, I'd say that the two of them must have gotten into it before the interview. Bill's definitely better at putting on a happy face than Tom is.
lmfao i noticed in one interview, Bill stopped talking and kinda looked at Tom like he sensed that Tom had something to say
But ja, I'm sure my sister gets annoyed at me sometimes since im usually the one who dominates the conversation. And yes i sometimes talk over her, but she does it too so it's okay

hmmm also true... but (and once again, too much "It's Me or the Dog") they have a gadget that you can put in your house. It's a machine that drops toys periodically so that the dog doesnt get bored when you're away. and there's also a doggy toy that you stuff peanut butter in the inside and then stick it in the fridge so it'll harden. If you stick that in the machine and it drops while you're away, the dog will be going at it for a while
and also, if you have friends or family who like dogs and don't mind coming over to check on him or even taking care of him while you're at work, that would be good as well.
it would probably be even better if you had two dogs. That way he wouldnt be lonely.

OK I hear someone who has already made up their mind and doesn't want to think about the boring stuff. Can you afford insurance and the extra if they get hurt? Grooming depending on what race it is? Landlords that say no to pets?

oh nein, im not getting a dog now. And im aware of everything that comes along with the dog. The insurance, getting them fixed, the price of food, deworming, protection from parasites... i even know some of the dog breeds who are prone to certain illnesses. Yes i can have pets in my apartment, but i have to pay a $200 dollar pet fee. And if i do get a dog, i already know which... i have allergies, so im most likely going to get a hypoallerginic dog. So im thinking either a weimeraner, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, or a whippet. A dog with short hair.
As much as i would love to have one right now, it's not possible for me to have a dog. One, because my sister hates animals... and two, because i need a job to take care of them. I'm just thinking about the options if i were in a position to have one.
