"Bill Kaulitz -" The other idea of a German", Karl Lagerfeld
Big Hair, Smokey Eyes, Sleek Chic - since Bill Kaulitz and his band Tokio Hotel had their first hit with "Durch den Monsun" in the summer of 2005, the 20-year-old singer with the unusual styling became a superstar. And a fashion icon.
He designed his favorite stage costumes himself. Even if he couldn't draw well, his tailor knew what he meant. "Actually, I would like to wear outfits like these everytime."
And: "Without makeup, I feel dressed up." His favorites: David Bowie in "Labyrinth", Nena, Vampires, Paris, Secondhand Shops, striking jewelry and Dior Homme. He owns pants of the label in countless variations, also because they fit him perfectly.
"Otherwise there are hardly any clothes that don't need to be changed for me." Custom-made clothes are like a tradition in the Kaulitz-House: Bill's mother is a seamstress and tailor. Already when he was a student, she sewed from several T-Shirts an unique one.
Recently, he collects braces, and Bill Kaulitz is also "totally crazy about jackets" - especially leather jackets. Hundreds of them are hanging in his closet - most of them in black. Too many to keep track of? "No, I could tell you a story to each jacket."
Original Text:

I don't care how funky Bill looks. He's dealing with the big boys now and I am anxious to see what other kinds of photoshoots he will do.
Haute couture is known for its outlandish fashions. So, it's no surprise to see Bill dressed this way. Karl seems to have taken Bill under his wing.

He is surely going to be HOT in a future. And he's only 20 and so much experience from entertainment business already. He can be anything and he is obviously aiming to that direction. I'm kind of happy for him :-)
I know absolutely nothing about fashion. Not my thing. So I can't really say anything about those pictures. I actually liked that feather-thing on his head, especially on that sitting-picture. On the other hand they are a bit disappoointing to me. Bill has so much potential in him and I feel like they didn't use even half of it there. But again; I know nothing about that business.
I really wonder how long TH is going feed his hunger anymore? Should we be also a bit of worried about the future of this band? I don't know, just one thing that popped into my mind yesterday after those pictures from Paris. I might be totally wrong here also.

Modeling is quite boring though compared to the energy on stage. I think music and playing live will always be #1 for him.

HANDS DOWN THESE ARE MY FAVORITE PHOTOS OF BILL.......EVER! He looks so natural and almost more comfortable here then in 80% of his other photos. He almost looks like,"This is where I belong, and I am here to stay!". I am so proud of him when I see these! F@#$king awesome *** picture(s) and I am smiling ear to ear. Photography is just another form of art and that hat is rocks for it's purpose! I am really so in AWE of him in these that even I am surprised. The form of pictures that they are, are just ingenious! HE LOOKS SO PERFECT! I AM SO HAPPY FOR HIM!

Amen.
Even if he looks really good and fits perfectly on all of those roles. I feel him closest to me as a Bill Kaulitz, musician. It's a world I understand most. All of others (esp. fashion) are too far in other galaxy for me. But... whatever makes him happy, I guess.

I believe you're thinking of avant-garde. Haute couture is basically the best of the best. It's very high quality workmanship, and often requires a lot of handwork and a lot of attention to detail. They're usually one of a kind pieces too.
Avant-garde, on the other hand, pushes the envelope on what's considered culturally normal. They are not generally ready-to-wear pieces, but are oftentimes translated into such, taking elements from the avant-garde pieces and recreating them into something that can be worn off the runway.
Anyway, I think it's a stretch to say that Karl Lagerfeld has taken him under his wing. There was one quote from Karl about Bill, and nothing more. I'm not saying they will never work together in the future (nor that they aren't now), but that's a lot to assume just because Vogue published Karl's comment. I think Bill is taking a lot of inspiration from him (how could you not?), but I'm doubting there has really been that much interaction between the two. Plus, with the album dropping soon and all the travel that's going on with the band, how could Bill possibly be taken under anybody's wing as some sort of design prodigy?
I know what I meant! Thanks!
Anyway, in the article about Simone/Gordon's wedding, Karl Lagerfield was mentioned as a possible guest. Also, it was written that he had been in contact with Tokio Hotel's managment, in regards to a brand called Schiesser.
So, based on that article, rumors from last year about Bill's entry in the modeling world, and these recent pictures/Karl's mention of Bill. I'm going to assume Bill is his new pet progect.

He looks absolutely ridiculous.
the hat makes no sense at all, they should have just took it off.
I think the only reason they did that was because its Vogue and they had to do something different, but if you look at it, he's just dressed in black with a stupid hat on his head.
Whoever did that must not like Bill because they didn't make him look good at all.

This may not be bill's best shots. We may think it doesn't make any sense or that helooks ridiculous. But, in the end, people who would never think of being a TH fan will know who is Bill Kaulitz and in turn, they will learn about Tokio Hotel.

The frontman for the mega-German band Bill Kaulitz tells JustJared.com, “When I arrived at the photo shoot in Berlin, [photographer] Karl Lagerfeld wanted to start immediately. I had just gotten back from the final album recordings in L.A. and was pretty tired, but Karl cheered me up right away and gave me energy. We got along really well and laughed a lot together – Karl is such a loving person. He immediately knew what kind of photos he wanted. Karl has an amazing vision and to me it felt like he already had the final picture in his head beforehand.”

Kaulitz posing for Lagerfeld
Diva Posing as well: Bill Kaulitz, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld for the anniversary issue of German Vogue.
For the 30th Anniversary of the German VOGUE, Karl Lagerfeld has photographed the brightest pop star Bill Kaulitz.
Bill Kaulitz has landed like a diva with an extravagant hairstyle in front of the camera's designer fashion. The singer is known not only musically for a long time to become a superstar, but is considered freaky style icon. Without makeup, you feel naked, and it does Bill Kaulitz is not no secret. The singer of Tokio Hotel, which still fight vehemently against the rumor that he is homosexual, poses in Berlin to Karl Lagerfeld, and indeed for the 30th edition of German Vogue.
In the October issue of GQ, the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz talks about his style, the music business, sex and rebellion.

I know that I might not please people by saying this but I will anyways. Vogue really isn't a magazine that sets out to please all ordinary clothes wearing citizens of this universe. It is for the publication of high fashion and society. Many of the models in the magazine are portrayed in clothes and jewelry most of the people would never wear and never could/can afford. The purpose of the pictures are to inspire ideas of fashion, art, and culture. Yes fashion is a culture. Take a look on the runways and notice what half the models are wearing. We laugh because who would wear a cereal box as a hat or bubble wrap as a dress. Those are some of the textures and shapes that inspire the things we take off the racks at Macy's or Nordstroms.
I think that Vogue and Karl did a great job of styling and photographing Bill. It serves the purpose of the article. Bill is pushing the limits and that is what he always does. He steps out of the box and is what he is and obviously he doesn't mind what we or anyone else thinks. (Well he might just a little,if we said he was ugly) In my opinion from an artistic view it is a great photo(s) and I prefer them over the Vanity Fair photos where he looks like a child posing. It shows how much he has matured and come along and he looks **** sexy. It's Vogue for goodness sake...strike a pose, and he did. I mean take a look at the clothes on Sex and the City?! Which one of us has taken Carries cue and worn a TUTU in the middle of Manhattan?!8-)

hahaha actually i did have an incident where that did happen
the guy was hitting on me and acting like he was straight... but then he ended up dating my ex best friend -_-
he still hasn't come out, but he is gay... he told me he was. And asked me not to tell anyone... i should have, considering how things ended
my ex best friend got the ****ty end of the deal, cause whenever they went in public together, the guy acted like they weren't together.
and i want to say another guy might have been... he became flaky after awhile. it was like one day he liked me, and another day he was just weird... but finally i just gave up on him... where do i find these guys? this is what i get for trying to date guys that aren't my type... they were far from the punk/rock guys i usually go for. because the times i've dated rocker guys, they made it QUITE clear that they were attracted to me

he's trying to be a model now, actually lol... the other guy who im not sure of is going into acting...
i think it's silly as well... i mean, his best friend Bobby (who is also a friend of mine) didn't know for the LONGEST time. and even i knew. i remember once someone was talking about him... and they were like "He's got to be gay..." and Bobby vehemently proclaimed that he wasn't gay while i was standing there thinking "Um, ja your friend is..."
he ended up finding out through someone else... how do you not tell your best friend? and he didn't care that he was gay either... silly boy  ... i soon found out that he's not the brightest crayon in the box, maybe that's why he's so far in the closet yet out at the same time... if that makes sense lmfao
