I was so sure we had this one but now I can't find it.

Stalkers Deserve Fair Punishment!

Tokio-Bill: Fair Punishment for the Stalker

Fame has it’s dark sides. The boys from Tokio Hotel had to find this out themselves after their meteoric rise in 2005. A group of female stalkers had, at the beginning of this year, hunted the Magdeburg band. The fact that they will never again be the insignificant boys next door, Bill (20) Tom (20), Georg (22) and Gustav (20) have resigned themselves to- meanwhile they still want justice. “We hope that the people get a fair punishment for it”, frontman Bill Kaulitz says during the MSN STARLOUNGE interview.

The stalker stress was also the background for an incident in a Hamburg filling station at the beginning of April this year, when Bill’s twin brother Tom Kaulitz clashed with a young woman. The situation escalated soon after members of the family of the Kaulitz twins were violently attacked. As a result, in April 2009, the band pressed charges against their pursuers.

During the interview with STARLOUNGE Bill remembers the “crazy time”. “The worst part for us was that our private life, or actually… we have no private life… the worst was, actually, with our families and our friends… We ourselves can handle it better. We decided to lead this life in public. But we wanted to preserve those of our families and friends”, says Bill.

The chances are good that the culprits will be held accountable for their behavior, because stalking (obsessive pursuing) is a criminal offense. In Germany you can go to jail for up to three years. The boys still consider the fact that they could again become the targets of obsessive love.

“I believe, this can continue to happen. You can never be sure about it. But naturally, we try to simply move on. It is clear, you can’t let it bring you down. But naturally these are bad things that can happen over and over again. I believe, it’s just something that comes with success, unfortunately,” Bill added further.

Nein. I know it's not going to happen again or else. I don't like to think negatively so that's why i say it won't. I hope it won't though. That'd be too much seriously.

Unfortunately celebrities get weird stalkers all the time. I'm afraid that this could happen again, but I surely hope it never will. It was such a mess, so so sad.

If we want to search for a tiny broght side from this terrible incident, I think it touched the whole fandom like nothing before. It didn't rip the fandom apart, but like opposite. It glued eventually people together.

Solo stalkers are bad enough - Stalker gangs as extreme as The Afghans on Tour, I hope are a 1 in a billion occurance and TH will never have this problem again.

yeah until this incident I didn't even realize that some stalkers stalk in groups :???:....I assumed that was a solo activity

how freaky

it seemed like this group was amped up even more because they could bounce their craziness off one another

seriously. and that makes it even more dangerous, because they could've also pushed eachother to do even more drastic things. Like they could have killed someone if it went on for too long! thankfully that didn't happen, but you never know with some people. I mean look at John Lennon! He was killed by his stalker, imagine that with 3 extra people!

But like Amdee mentioned before, it did something good for the fandom. For once there wasn't any friction between fanbases, but between the fandom as a whole and the stalkers. We showed our support for the guys, and showed them we have a deeper sense of loyalty than most people would think.

yeah it was amazing how so many fans banded together

it also brought awareness about how serious an issue like this can get

It's scary that those women were able to get so close that they ended up invading the guys' personal space
