So In Love With Two (Final Chapter Up)

So, I've written a few short fics for the McFly message boards, so I figured I'd write one for the TH message boards.

Sorry if it totally sucks, I haven't really written anything in a long while.


Chapter One

As she made her way through the busy streets, Megara dug her iPod out of her messenger bag and pressed the play button. Instantly, the sound of her favorite No Doubt song “Just A Girl” filled her ears. “Oh, I’m just a girl, lucky me, twiddle-dum, there’s no comparison!” Gwen Stefani, the band’s lead singer, sang. “Oh, I’ve had it up to, oh, I’ve had it up to, oh, I’ve had it up to here.” Megara happily hummed along.

“Nice shirt, nerd,” a guy with a red mohawk remarked, pointing at Megara’s No Doubt shirt. “No Doubt is for idiots. Why don’t you listen to real music, like Disturbed and I Am Ghost?” Megara cussed the guy out in Japanese. A dumbfounded look crossed his face. “What’d you say to me?” “I’m fluent in English, German, French, and Japanese,” Megara said. “Maybe if you’d stop insulting people, you’d find time to learn another language.” Rolling her eyes at the clueless boy, she stomped past him.

“You made him look stupid!” a voice said in German. Megara turned around to see two boys following her. “Hey, aren’t you two in that band Tokio Hotel?” she asked. They nodded. “I’m Tom Kaulitz,” the one with the golden and brown dreadlocks said. “And this is my twin, Bill.” “Hello,” Megara greeted them. “I’ve never met celebrities before.” “What is your name?” the one with hair that resembled a porcupine, Bill, asked. “Megara.” “Megara?!? What kind of name is that?!?” Tom said. “TOM!” Bill scolded, elbowing his brother. “Don’t be rude.” Megara, who was used to this reaction, explained the story behind her name. “My parents are obsessed with Greek mythology. They named me after the king of Thebes’s daughter and Heracles’s wife.” “Greek mythology?” A confused look appeared on Tom’s face. Megara nodded. “They named my older sister Aphrodite, after the goddess of love and beauty.” “You have odd parents,” Tom mumbled. Bill shot him an evil look.

“I’d better get going.” Megara turned on her heel, leaving the Kaulitz twins behind.

Chapter Two

The next morning was Saturday, so Megara got to stay home. Oh, joy.

If there was anything she hated more than school, it was staying at home after her sister Aphrodite was dumped by another one of her boyfriends. Ironically, though she was named after the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite’s love life was a wreck. She met a new boy every week, dated him, and then spent days bawling after they broke up. Despite the fact that Aphrodite’s room was five doors down from Megara’s room, Megara could hear her sister crying loud and clear.

Meg put her earphones on and turned on her iPod to try to drown out the noise. She sang loudly along to the “Paint Your Target” lyrics.

As the song reached its end, Megara realized she could still hear Aphrodite wailing. Furious, Megara ran down the hall to her sister’s bedroom. She threw open the door to find Aphrodite laying in her bed, sobbing and shoveling ice cream into her mouth. “APHRODITE!” Meg shrieked. “YOU BETTER STOP YOUR BAWLING! YOU’RE MAKING EVERYONE IN THIS HOUSE MISERABLE!! QUIT HAVING A PITY PARTY FOR YOURSELF EVERY TIME YOU GET DUMPED! IF HE DUMPED YOU, HE’S A JERK AND YOU TWO DON’T BELONG TOGETHER!”

Megara, finished with her shouting, slammed the door and raced back to her bedroom. She threw herself on her bed. A moment later, Aphrodite appeared in the doorway. Megara thought she was there to scream at her, and was surprised to see Aphrodite smile. “You’re right, Meggy.” “Please don’t call me ‘Meggy’,” Megara groaned. Ignoring her, Aphrodite continued. “I have been selfish in the fact that I disturb you, Mom, and Dad with my crying after a breakup. I realized that I shouldn’t keep dating jerks, and should either date nice boys or stay single.” Aphrodite squealed. “You’re the best sister ever, Meggy!” She blew Meg a kiss and left.

Chapter Three

Deciding she didn’t want to stay home, Megara planned to go to the mall with Aphrodite. Plus, ever since her family moved to Germany last month, she never had time to go to the mall to see what it was like.

“We’ll have so much fun, Meggy!” Aphrodite squealed, clapping her hands. “KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE WHEEL!” Megara screamed. “Oh, sorry!” Aphrodite immediately put her hands on the steering wheel. “This German mall is SO much fun. Much better than the ones back in America,” she continued. “There are so many cute boys and awesome stores and sexy clothes and...” Megara, who was used to her preppy sister’s ramblings, tuned her out by humming to herself.

“We’re here, Meggy!” Aphrodite announced, taking the car keys out of the ignition. She and Meg jumped out of the car, and ran into the mall. Almost instantly, Megara heard a familiar voice calling her name. She whirled around to see Bill and Tom Kaulitz. “It’s you two again,” she said dully. “What? This mean you’re not happy to see us?” Tom pouted. “Surprised? Yes. Happy? Not so much.” “Meggy, come on, let’s go – OH MY GOD, IT’S BILL AND TOM FROM TOKIO HOTEL!!” Aphrodite yelled.

“I LOVE YOU GUYS! YOU’RE SOOO HOT!! MY FAVORITE SONG IS JUNG UND NICHT MEHR JUGENDFREI!” “Aphrodite, calm down,” Megara said, rubbing her forehead. “You’re giving me a headache.” “I take it this is your sister?” Bill asked. “Yes,” Megara said, sighing.

“MEGGY, YOU KNOW THEM?!?” Aphrodite shrieked. Meg frowned. “Stop calling me ‘Meggy’! I’m not six! My name is Megara!” Tom laughed. “Meggy, Meggy. I’ma start calling you that.” Meg’s face burned with anger. She turned sharply, and walked away.

Chapter Four

“Meg! Wait up!” Bill called as he and Tom chased after Megara, and Aphrodite chased after the Kaulitz twins. “Yeah, Meggy! Wait up!” Tom cried. His laughter slowed him down.

The girl stopped running. Bill, Tom, and Aphrodite caught up to her and stopped, panting. “Why are you trying to run away from us?” Bill asked. “Do you not like us?” “I’d rather not be made fun of just because of my name when you know nothing about me,” Megara replied coldly. She eyed Tom as she spoke. “That’s just Tommy. He always does that,” Bill explained. “He’ll stop, I promise. You wanna hang out with us?”

“Me? Hang out with you?” Meg asked disgustedly. “Why would you waste your time on me? So you can turn me into a Tokio Hotel fan so I’ll buy your CDs and you’ll get more money?” She shook her head. “No, thanks. I’ve got stuff to do. But I’m sure my sister would be delighted to spend the afternoon with you.”

Chapter Five

“Please, Meggy! Come shop with us!” Aphrodite pleaded once more. “No! AND STOP CALLING ME ‘MEGGY’!” Megara said angrily. “Fine. If I stop calling you that, will you come with us?” “Yeah, Meggy.” Tom broke into laughter. Meg punched him in his stomach. “OW!” He rubbed the spot where he was punched. “****, you hit hard!” he exclaimed. “Good!” Megara spat. Aphrodite suddenly dug her sharp fingernails into Meg’s arm. “You. Will. Come. Shopping. With. Us. Now,” she hissed into her younger sister’s ear. Megara sighed. “I’ll come if you let go of me.” Aphrodite, smiling, obeyed her sister and stood up. “Come along, sissy!” “JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN’T CALL ME ‘MEGGY’ DOESN’T MEAN YOU CAN START CALLING ME ‘SISSY’!” Aphrodite’s mouth drooped. She stuck out her bottom lip. “Why not, Meg? Please let me call you ‘sissy’!” Megara shook her head furiously. “No.” “Fine.” Aphrodite folded her arms and pouted.

“What store do you want to go to first?” Bill questioned. Meg shrugged. “Ooh, somewhere with lots of shoes!” Aphrodite squealed. “Is your sister always like this?” Tom whispered. “Unfortunately, yes,” Megara whispered back.

“Look at all these gorgeous shoes!” Aphrodite exclaimed as they entered the first shoe store they found. She raced to a pair of pink pumps and ran off to try them on. Meg, Tom, and Bill just stood rooted to the floor and watched her.

Megara pulled out her trusty and beloved iPod and turned it on. She mouthed the words to the song she was listening to, Busted’s “Air Hostess.” “Walking through the terminal, I saw something beautiful, you left for your duty call. Next time, getting on the plane, that’s when I see you again, I can’t get you off my brain. That uniform you’re wearing, so hot I can’t stop staring, you’re putting on an awesome show. The cabin pressure’s rising, my Coke has got no ice in now. Air hostess, I like the way you dress.”

“Busted?” Tom said disgustedly, eyeing her iPod. “You like Busted?” “So what? Their lyrics may be totally cheesy, but I love them anyways,” Meg remarked, glaring at Tom. Tom rolled his eyes and grabbed Megara’s iPod out of her hands. “Hey! Give that back!” she whined. “Do you have any good songs on here? Like maybe something by Samy Deluxe?” “No, I can’t stand Samy Deluxe.” Tom gasped and put his hand to his mouth. “You’re made of pure evil, Meggy!” “Stop flirting with her,” Bill said, hitting his brother in the shoulder. “Can’t you see she’s not into you?” Megara blushed a deep shade of red. Flirting? He thought Tom was flirting with her? Was Bill Kaulitz out of his mind? ...Or was he possibly right?

Disgusted, Megara ran off to find her sister to tell her they were leaving. “Oh, there you are, sissy,” Aphrodite said. “I was just coming to get you.” “Let’s leave, I want to go home,” Meg told her. “WE’RE NOT LEAVING YET!” Aphrodite roared. “I haven’t even gone shopping for lingerie yet.” Megara swore under her breath, and followed her sister over to the boys. “Listen up, people! I’m going to go shopping for lingerie, so Tom, Bill, and Meggy, you can go off and do whatever you what until I’m ready, okay?” Aphrodite announced. “Toodles.” She stalked off, leaving her sister all alone with the Kaulitz boys.

Chapter Six

Tom, who was still holding Megara’s iPod hostage, was rummaging through her songs collection. What kind of songs are these? he thought to himself. “Fer Sure” by The Medic Droid? It’s techno. Techno sucks. “Low” by Flo Rida? Eh, it’s alright. “Four Seasons” by Namie Amuro? That song’s in Japanese. Like anyone around here except her would understand what the **** they were saying.

“Will you please give me back my iPod?” Megara pleaded. “Tommy, just give her the iPod. You know you’d be ****** if she took yours,” Bill defended Meg. “God, you are such a whiner,” Tom said, handing over the iPod. “Whatever.” Meg rolled her eyes. How immature this boy was, she thought. I’m so glad Bill’s not like his brother.

“So, Megara, do you have any, um, piercings?” Bill asked. What a weird question. Eh, he’s just trying to make polite conversation. “I have four earrings in my right ear, two in my left, a navel ring, and snakebites on my stomach and lip.” Snakebites? On her stomach? Now that was hot, Tom thought. He played a little with his lip ring as he thought of Megara’s stomach snakebites. God, she was so sexy. If only her personality was different, I would totally screw her. Bill, recognizing the look on his twin’s face, leaned towards him and whispered, “Don’t get too happy. We’re in public. Wait until we’re home.” Tom, embarrassed and hoping that Meg didn’t hear Bill’s remark, stared at his feet.

“I don’t mean to make you so upset but the air is so thin and I’m losing sleep,” Charlie Simpson, Fightstar’s lead singer, sang into Megara’s ears. Too engrossed in the song she was listening to, Megara didn’t know Tom and Bill were staring at her. “Meg! Your voice, it’s--” Bill stuttered. “Utterly amazing!” Tom finished. Megara raised an eyebrow. “What?” “You just sang that out loud,” Bill told her. “Sing another song for us!” “Like what?” “Anything you want to sing!” “Um, ok,” Meg said, choosing a song off her iPod. “A girl in the world barking up the wrong tree, a creature conditioned to employ matrimony, crumbling continuity, I pick up the pieces, the ceremony makes me zealous as the past quickly ceases, fear from being neutered, I’m now prude, now defensive, quickly I’m altered and tempted by new love only rented.” “Your singing voice is so beautiful!” Bill exclaimed. Megara blushed. “It’s all right, not that great, though.” “Are you kidding me? That’s marvelous!” This girl’s got snakebites and can sing. ****, I so want her, Tom said to himself. “We’re in public,” Bill hissed once again, looking at his brother’s face.

Aphrodite suddenly appeared next to the bench the three were sitting on. “I’m done,” she said. “Let’s go home, Meggy.” Remembering something, Aphrodite dug through her purse and produced two slips of paper. She handed them to Bill. “One of them is Meggy’s cell phone number, and the other is mine,” she told him. “I thought you and Tom would want them.” She winked. Aphrodite grabbed Megara’s hand and pulled her off the bench. “Goodbye, boys!” Tossing her long blonde hair over her shoulder, she turned around and blew them a kiss before dragging Meg away.

Chapter Seven

Megara. Tom Kaulitz could not get her out of his mind no matter how hard he tried. “Maybe if I could just get into her pants once, I’d get her outta my head,” he grumbled to himself. He flung himself onto his bed and stared at the ceiling. “Tommy, stop thinking dirty thoughts about Megara!” Bill called from outside Tom’s bedroom door. “SHUT UP, BILL! I’M NOT DOING ANYTHING!” “Ah, but you are certainly thinking about doing something,” Bill replied. “I can feel it in me.” “Get away from my door!” Tom yelled. He rolled over on his stomach and buried his face into his pillow.



Crying could be heard from downstairs. Curious, Meg stepped out of her room and walked over the stairway. She found her mother silently weeping on the couch in the living room. “Mom?” Megara slowly made her way down the stairs. “Are you okay? What happened?” Mrs. Jones sniffed. “Oh, no, nothing, darling,” she replied, trying to be cheerful. “My allergies are acting up and my eyes are all puffy and my nose is runny...” “You are such a bad liar, Mom. Tell me what’s really wrong.” Mrs. Jones stared at her daughter a minute and bit her lip. “Well, darling, I don’t know if I should tell you this, but...well, your father and I are getting divorced.” A fresh wave of tears trickled down her face and she dabbed at them with a tissue. Megara was dumbfounded. Her parents were getting divorced? But they were, like, the most perfect couple alive! She had never once seen them fight or argue in all of her seventeen years of life.

But as she thought about it, Meg realized that they actually weren’t the perfect couple. She realized that her father was never home enough to argue with her mother. He was always on what he called “business trips.” Maybe they aren’t really business trips, Megara thought. Of course. “Your father has been cheating on me for the last twelve years!” Mrs. Jones said. “He has a girlfriend who is fifteen years younger than him, and they have three children together. His girlfriend knew all along that he was married, and yet she continued to have a relationship with him!” Mrs. Jones began sobbing once more. “And now Joseph had decided that he doesn’t want to be with me anymore. He’s divorcing me and moving back to America so he can live with his girlfriend and three children.”

“What a bastard!” Megara blurted. “Yes,” Mrs. Jones agreed. “Mommy! What on earth are you crying for?” Aphrodite asked, running down the stairs. “Mom and Dad are getting divorced,” Meg told her. “Dad’s been cheating on her for twelve years. He has three kids with another chick.” Aphrodite gasped. “What a man-*****!” Megara nodded her agreement. Mrs. Jones wiped her nose. “Darlings, please go upstairs. I need some time to myself.” Aphrodite and Megara obeyed their mother and went back to their bedrooms.

The end seems a bit random, but I promise that it'll be used later in the story!

Chapter Eight

Oh, God. What was she doing here? Reading Tom’s thoughts, Georg replied, “Bill invited her to hang out with us backstage before our concert.” “Oh. ******.” “What do you say that for? I thought you liked that girl.” “I don’t like her,” Tom said quickly. “I just...I...” “Tom, I don’t think that she’s the type who would have sex with you,” Georg said. Tom’s face turned bright red. “Why does everyone keep saying that?!?” “Because it’s true.” Georg patted Tom on the back, and walked off.

“Megara, do you mind if I use your iPod?” Bill asked. “I feel like listening to music.” “Sure,” Meg answered, digging it out of her messenger bag and giving it to him. He plugged it into his iHome and soon “Lost Like Tears In Rain” by Fightstar was blaring. “And I’m a thousand miles away and I’m out of oxygen and I’m falling faster than I’d like to be,” Megara sang at the top of her lungs. Bill laughed at her. “God, this song ROCKS!” Meg jumped up and down to emphasize her sentence. “Megara, do you think I have too much eyeshadow on?” Bill, who was doing his makeup, suddenly asked. Meg burst into a fit of giggles. “Um. What’s so funny? Do you think I’m a freak for putting on makeup?” “No, no,” Megara replied, wiping her eyes. “No, I think you look great with makeup. It’s just that no guy has ever asked me that before.” She stood up straight and looked at his eyes. However, she made the mistake of looking into his eyes. Instantly, she was lost in their beauty. She gazed into them for what seemed like a long time before she realized she hadn’t answered Bill’s question. “You look fine,” she said, tearing her gaze from his big, beautiful, glittering brown eyes.

A weird feeling crept over Megara as Bill gave her a gorgeous smile and put his makeup bag down. She had no earthly idea what this feeling was, but she...liked it. “Well, I must get going,” Bill said. “The concert is starting soon. I’ll see you backstage afterwards.” Megara nodded and watched Bill leave.

Chapter Nine

Though her sister was a huge fan, Megara had never really listened to any of Tokio Hotel’s songs. But as she was listening to them perform that night, she fell in love with Bill Kaulitz’s voice. She had never heard anyone sing that well before. Well, except for maybe Charlie Simpson.

As the show came to an end, Bill raced offstage. He grabbed a towel and dabbed his face with it. He grinned when he saw Meg. “Did you like the show?” “I loved it,” she answered, smiling. “That’s wonderful. Hey, I’m going to go take a shower, but I’ll be back in a few minutes, okay?” “Sure,” Megara said as Bill ran off.

“Meggy!” Tom called as he approached her. Megara rolled her eyes. “Go away, you nuisance.” “Aw, you think I’m a nuisance?” Tom pretended to cry. “God, there’s no one more annoying than you, Tom Kaulitz.” Megara started to walk away, but Tom grabbed her hand and pulled her back. As soon as he entwined his fingers with hers, a spark flew up his arm. Blushing furiously, he dropped her hand and stared at the floor. “S-sorry. I didn’t mean to--” Megara stared at him for a moment. “Did you want me to...stay?” Tom nodded slightly. What was up with this boy? Meg thought. “You just want me to stay with you so you can make fun of me and be rude like always, huh?” She frowned at him. “No, no! I just want...some company,” Tom answered sheepishly. “Then go find Georg or Gustav!” Megara turned around and left Tom all alone.

******! Tom thought. I’ve been such a ***** to her and now she doesn’t want to be around me. A beautiful girl caught his eye and he looked up. “Hey, you’re the guitarist from Tokio Hotel, aren’t you?” the girl asked, walking over to Tom. He nodded. ****, she’s HOT! Almost as hot as Meggy! She had shoulder-length brown hair, hazel eyes, a silver lip ring, and an eyebrow ring. “I’m Elizabeth,” the girl said, looking at Tom’s body up and down. She grinned seductively and played with her hair. “Are you single?” Just because I might like another girl doesn’t mean I should give up my sex life, Tom thought. “Yes, I’m single.” He invited the girl back to his apartment, and off they went so Tom could have another one-night stand.

Chapter Ten

“What the **** are you grinning about?” Aphrodite asked rudely as she poured herself some cereal. Obviously, Aphrodite was not much of a morning person, but because Megara was so happy, she didn’t mind. “Nothing.” “You’re totally happy about something, I can tell,” Aphrodite said as she shoveled a spoonful of cereal into her mouth. “Well...” Meg said, twiddling her thumbs. “MY GOD, JUST SPIT IT OUT ALREADY!” Aphrodite roared. “I just had a great time with Bill last night!” Megara squealed. “So you’re not a virgin anymore?” “WHAT?” Meg shrieked, horrified. “I asked if you were still a virgin,” Aphrodite said, as if her younger sister was deaf. “OF COURSE I’M STILL A VIRGIN!” “I’m not.” “THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU, APHRODITE!!!” Megara shouted. “Well, let’s make it about me,” she suggested. “No! It’s about me, for once,” Meg replied. “Bill and I did NOTHING sexual. We just hung out and had a fabulous time.” She swooned. “He’s so handsome and sweet and thoughtful and funny and...” “Oh, shut up about your little crush,” Aphrodite remarked, standing up and literally throwing her cereal bowl into the sink. “Let me give you some advice, little sister.” Advice? Aphrodite was the last person who should give advice.

“Having crushes is pointless,” the “wise” Aphrodite began. “If you like someone, you should march up to them and ask them out. If they refuse, wait a while and then ask again. If they refuse once more, go find another boy. You should only have crushes on famous people that you know you could never have in a million years.” “Um...okay?” Aphrodite nodded and skipped off to her bedroom to get dressed for whatever she had planned that day.

Suddenly, the sound of “Spiderwebs” by No Doubt could be heard. Megara ran over to her purse and dug out her cell phone. “Hello?” “Megara?” “Bill, is that you?” “Ja. I was wondering if you and Aphrodite wanted to come hang out with me and the rest of Tokio Hotel at my apartment.” “Okay, that sounds fine.” “Great. See you then.” Meg put her cell phone back in her purse and jumped up and down. “APHRODITE!” she screamed up the stairs. “THE **** YOU WANT?” “WE’RE GOING TO BILL’S APARTMENT, K?” “K.” Megara raced upstairs to find a suitable outfit to change into.

Chapter Eleven

Last night hadn’t exactly been pleasurable. Well, it had, because Elizabeth was really good in bed, but the whole time she was there, Tom thought of nothing but Megara. It beats the purpose to have sex when you’re thinking of someone else.

Anywho, Megara and Aphrodite were now coming over to chill with him, Bill, Gustav, and Georg. “******, Bill, why do you keep inviting her over?!?” Tom had screamed. “Because she’s cool!” Bill answered. “Maybe you would know that if you weren’t such a ***** to her all the time.” “I’m not a ***** to her!” Tom argued. “Yes, you are! My God, you’re dense.” A knock on the door interrupted the argument. “Ah, she’s here. Be on your best behavior, little brother!” Bill joked, tapping Tom on the head. “I’M OLDER THAN YOU, STUPID!” Tom yelled as Bill threw open the door. “The **** are they arguing about?” Georg asked. Gustav shrugged.

“Hi, guys,” Megara said as she entered the room. Aphrodite, who was dressed in an incredibly short, slinky black dress in order to try to score a date with one of the boys, waved and plopped down on the couch. “Ooh, I love your hair!” she exclaimed, running her hands through Georg’s lovely hair. Georg slapped her hand away. “Don’t. Ever. Touch. My. Hair.” Aphrodite threw Georg a mean look, and tossed her blonde hair over her shoulder. “Whatever,” she said coolly. Aphrodite then turned her attention to Gustav, and began talking excessively to him, not noticing he wasn’t listening or that he didn’t care.

“Why are you, of all people, being so quiet today?” Megara asked, looking at Tom. For some reason, Tom felt the need to avoid her eyes. He shrugged. “Something bothering you?” “Not really.” He stood up and went out onto the balcony. A minute later, Meg stood up and followed him.

“Something’s eating at you, I can tell,” she said. “Tell me what it is.” “Why would I tell you?” Tom spat. “It’s not like you care about me.” Taken aback by the viciousness in his voice, Megara peered at him. “Are you angry with me, Tom?” “What? No–just...no, I’m not angry with you,” Tom stuttered. Why is he acting so odd? Meg thought. Deciding he needed time alone, she turned on her heel and went back into the apartment.

As she stepped into the room, Bill grabbed her hand and whisked her away. “Where are we going?” she asked curiously. “To my bedroom,” Bill answered, grinning. Noticing the look on her face, he added, “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna rape you.” Megara laughed, which made Bill smile even bigger.

Chapter Twelve

The pair sat on Bill’s bed, chatting endlessly. As Megara was telling him about a funny incident that recently happened to her, Bill interrupted by saying, “Your eyes are extraordinarily beautiful.” Megara, blushing, giggled. But Bill kept a straight face. “Why are you blushing? It’s true.” He cupped his hand around her cheek and pulled her close to him. He planted his lips firmly on Meg’s, and wrapped his arm around her waist.

He’s KISSING me! Megara screamed inside her head. I’m kissing a famous rockstar!!!! She began kissing him back, and soon the two were in a vigorous makeout session. Unfortunately, Tom picked this moment to ask his brother a question. He opened the door, and began to walk into the room. “Bill, let me ask you something--” He looked up and saw Bill’s arms wrapped around Megara’s waist and their lips touching. Tom stood there for a moment, soaking this all in, before he turned and closed the door.

Tom sighed deeply. Why did I ever think I even had a chance with her? She’s way too good for me. He forced his feet to take him to his bedroom, and sat on his bed. It took every ounce of strength he had to keep from crying.

Chapter Thirteen

Megara slammed her bedroom door, and slowly sank to the floor. It had been the best day of her life. She had kissed a boy who didn’t care about what people thought or about getting in her pants. She had kissed a boy who liked her for her true self. She had kissed Bill Kaulitz, Tokio Hotel’s lead singer.

Meg raised a finger to her mouth as she remembered how Bill’s lips felt when they collided with hers. His taste still lingered in her mouth, and she savored it. Suddenly, her cell phone began to ring and she picked it up. “Hello?” “Megara?” Meg’s heart began beating faster. “Bill! Hi! What are you up to?” “Nothing, really. Hey, you know that garden with all the stone statues behind the art museum?” Bill asked. “Yeah. Why?” “Will you meet me there in twenty minutes?” Meg was breathless. Was he asking her out? “Yeah, yeah, sure. Okay. I’ll be there.” “Great. Bye.” She put her phone back in her pocket and squealed.



Oh, God. I’m practically living out one of my favorite songs. I mean, how much is this like the lyrics to No Doubt’s “New”? Megara thought as the taxi drove through the streets. “My normal hesitation is gone, and I really gravitate to your will. Are you here to fetch me out? Cos I’ve never had this taste in my past. Oh, you’re not old, and you’re not familiar, recently discovered, and I’m learning about you. New, you’re so new.” That song is basically describing my love life.

The taxi pulled up to the art museum and Megara jumped out. She raced around to the back of the museum, where she found Bill waiting for her. “Hello,” Bill greeted, taking Meg’s hands and pulling her towards him. He kissed her tenderly. When their lips parted, Bill, still holding Megara’s hands, led her over to a stone bench that faced a small pond, in which the center of it was a statue of Aphrodite (the goddess, not Meg’s sister). The couple sat down on the bench. They gazed deeply into each other’s eyes, loving every second of it. “I have something to tell you,” Bill said. He leaned closer to Megara, and whispered in her ear, “I think I might be in love with you.”

Megara smiled and lightly kissed Bill. “I think I might be in love with you as well.”

Chapter Fourteen

When Megara woke up the next morning, she found herself lying in grass, wrapped in Bill’s arms. Oh, yeah. Last night we went out to the fields and accidentally fell asleep, she remembered. She carefully removed Bill’s arms from around her waist, and sat up. She rubbed her eyes as the sun shined brightly in her face. There was a sound coming from beside her, and she saw Bill beginning to wake up. He yawned and sat up in the grass.

“Good morning, love,” he said sweetly, kissing Megara passionately on the lips. “Good morning to you, too,” Meg replied as their kiss ended. “Oh mein gott!” Bill exclaimed as he checked what time it was on his cell. “I need to be going, I have a photo shoot soon.” He stood up and brushed the grass off his clothes. “I’ll call you later, ja?” Megara nodded. He kissed her once again. “Bye, love.” “Goodbye,” Meg said breathlessly.

She sat in the grass for a few minutes, when all of a sudden Tom plopped down beside her. Surprised, she asked, “What the **** are you doing here?” “I was looking for you,” he replied. “I called your sister and she told me that you might be here.” Looking for me? “What did you want me for?” Tom sighed heavily, and contemplated whether to tell her or keep it a secret.

“Megara,” he began, thinking of the right words to say. “That’s the first time you called me by real name,” Meg interrupted. “And not ‘Meggy’.” “Oh. Well, I decided to stop calling you that,” Tom explained. “Anyways, I hope you don’t think I’m a freak or anything, but...” He stopped mid-sentence, and crashed his lips into Meg’s.

Chapter Fifteen

Tom quickly pulled away from Megara. “Oh mein gott, I’m so sorry!” he exclaimed. His face turned a deep scarlet color. “I didn’t mean to, it’s–I...” He sighed. “Megara,” he said, taking Meg’s hands into his own. “I love you.” Tears formed in his eyes. “I love you so much that it hurts. I think of you every moment of every day, and dream of you every night. I’ve never felt anything like I feel for you before, but I’m pretty sure that it’s love.” By now, tears were streaming down his face. “And I know that you’re in love with my brother and that no matter how hard I try, I can never have you. But I didn’t want to live my life without letting you know what I feel for you.”

What did he just say to me? Meg thought. It’s everything I fantasized a boy saying to me, and it’s coming from Tom Kaulitz? “Tom, you love me?” she asked. Tom nodded as he silently sobbed. Guilt washed over Megara. She had treated him like crap, and all the while he had been secretly in love with her. She stared at him as he cried and realized that he was crying for her.


No boy had ever done that for her.

Tom Kaulitz was madly in love with her, but she was in love with his brother, and he was weeping because of it. He wouldn’t be crying unless he really and truly loved her.

“Please stop crying,” Megara said as she wiped away Tom’s tears. She noticed that his tear-filled brown eyes were gorgeous. Even more beautiful than Bill’s. No. She couldn’t fall for Tom. It would be unfair to Bill. But how could any girl watch a boy tearfully confess his love to her and not fall for him?

Oh, God. Not only did Megara love Bill Kaulitz, but now she was beginning to fall for his twin.

Tom’s heart melted when Megara wiped away his tears. She really did care about him. He noticed that her eyes softened when her gaze swept across his body. “Tom,” Megara said, looking at him. “Yes?” “I think I love you.” As the words tumbled out of her mouth, Tom’s heart instantly stopped.

His eyes widened as he stared at Megara. “Really?” Meg nodded. A moment later her face crumpled and she began to bawl. “Megara! What’s wrong?” He wrapped his arms around her small frame and she buried her face into his chest. “I feel so awful!” Meg said between tears. “I can’t love both you and Bill.” Bill. Tom had completely forgotten about him when Megara had told Tom she loved him. “I knew it was too good to be true,” he mumbled. “I really do love you, Tom,” Megara said. “But what am I supposed to say to Bill? I still love him.” “I don’t know,” Tom confessed. “Maybe you can stay with both of us. I’ll make sure he doesn’t find out about you and me.” I’m willing to do anything to get to be with her, Tom thought. I won’t let her go this easily. But it will be difficult to try to keep this a secret from Bill.

Chapter Seventeen

It had been a week since Megara and Tom began their secret relationship. So far, Bill had suspected nothing. Megara was hoping it would stay that way.

Meanwhile, Meg had noticed a change in Aphrodite. She was worrying more about her appearance than usual, she was rarely home, and when she was home, she avoided Meg and always seemed to be lost in her thoughts. “Aphrodite!” Megara cried. Aphrodite snapped out her trance, but avoided Meg’s eyes. “What?” “What’s been up with you these last few days? You seem...different.” Aphrodite just shrugged and slipped back into her trance.

Noticing the time, Megara grabbed her purse and ran outside. Tom was going to pick her up and take her to the beach. It was at night, so they wouldn’t be spotted canoodling in the sand.

Tom’s car pulled into the driveway, and Megara quickly jumped in before anyone could notice. “Hey, babe,” Tom greeted her, kissing her cheek. “Hey.” The familiar warmth settled into her body, like it always did whenever she was with Tom Kaulitz.

Soon the couple arrived at their destination, and they jumped out of the car and into the sand. Laughing, Tom grabbed Megara and twirled her around, causing her to giggle. He set her feet back into the sand and tenderly, yet passionately, kissed her. Meg swooned as Tom wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. “I’ve never been as happy before like I am when I’m with you,” he whispered in her ear.

Meg’s heart began beating rapidly. “I love you, Tom Kaulitz,” she said. “And I love you as well,” Tom replied, laying his head on top of hers. “More than you could ever imagine.”

Chapter Eighteen

Aphrodite gulped. She used every drop of her strength to fight back tears that were threatening to spill over. Why was she doing this? She couldn’t stand to look at Megara, fearing that Megara would figure out her secret. And if Meg figured out her secret...Aphrodite couldn’t bear to think about it.

Whoever said that pain is worth the pleasure was mentally ill. Seriously. All of this pain was most definitely not worth any pleasure. And yet why did she keep doing it? Because. She had to. Because she was madly in love with him. He was her reason for living. She had never felt such love before, or such pain.

“He doesn’t love me, he could never love someone like me,” Aphrodite bawled. She sat on her bedroom floor, her face buried in her hands. She took the knife out from under her bed and pushed her sweater sleeves up. She ran the knife along her arms, watching the ruby red blood drip onto the floor. By now, Aphrodite was crying so hard that she was shaking uncontrollably. “I hate myself. I hate myself. I want to die.” But she didn’t have the strength or courage to take the knife and plunge it into her heart.

Chapter Nineteen

Tom and Bill were backstage, getting ready for another one of their concerts. Bill nervously adjusted his eye makeup. “Bill? What’s your problem?” Tom asked. “Nothing, nothing!” Bill snapped distractedly. Tom eyed him suspiciously. “Is there something wrong?” Bill sighed heavily, and sank into a nearby chair. “I need to get this off my chest, and, since you’re the person I trust most in this world, I’ll tell you.”

“Um, I’m cheating on Megara,” Bill confessed. “With her sister.” Tom’s eyes widened. How could he do that to Megara? But, wait. Isn’t this what she was doing to Bill? “You swear you won’t tell her, Tom?” Tom nodded, swallowing a lump in his throat. He had to tell Megara. Right? Because if she knew that Bill was cheating on her, surely she’d dump Bill and stay with Tom? Oh, God. Now Tom was torn between loyalty to his twin and loyalty to his love.

Chapter Twenty

Megara was sick with worry about her sister. Aphrodite had stopped eating completely, wore nothing but long-sleeved shirts and sweaters, and was extremely pale, like she was on the brink of death.

One day while she was gone, Megara went into Aphrodite’s room to hunt around. Everything seemed normal at first, until she looked closer. She spotted red stains on the carpet, and, on closer inspection, discovered it was blood. Megara stuck her hand under Aphrodite’s bed, and, after searching for a moment, pulled out a blood-stained butcher knife. “Oh, my God,” she whispered. Aphrodite’s cutting herself. Megara shot her hand back under the bed and produced Aphrodite’s diary. She turned it to the last few pages and began reading.

I can’t believe this. Why am I doing all of this? I’m a horrible, terrible, awful sister. I hate myself so much!!! But I just can’t stop. I love Bill too much. And he says he loves me, and not my sister. Oh, God, I hope Meg doesn’t find out Bill’s cheating on her with me. I would kill myself if she found out, if I don’t kill myself before that., the last entry stated.

“Bill’s cheating on me? With Aphrodite?!” Megara screamed. Tears began streaming down her face. Suddenly, the bedroom door flew open, and in stumbled Aphrodite.

Chapter Twenty-One

Aphrodite’s eyes widened when she saw Megara laying on her bedroom floor, crying and holding the knife she used to cut herself with and her diary in her hand. “Megara,” she mumbled. “What are you doing in my room?” “I was worried about you, Aphrodite,” Meg said seriously. “You’re going out with Bill behind my back?!?” Aphrodite snapped. She knew, she knew. Oh God, she knows I’m in love with her boyfriend. Aphrodite let out an ear-piercing and bloodcurdling scream. She lunged at Megara, trying to snatch the butcher knife out her hand. “Give it to me, give it to me!” she screamed viciously as salty tears fell down her face. “No, Aphrodite! I won’t!” The sisters wrestled with the knife for what seemed like forever until Aphrodite had took it from Megara. “APHRODITE, NO, NO! DON’T DO IT!” Megara shrieked.

Aphrodite put the knife next to her heart. “What makes you think I won’t do it?” Aphrodite whispered. “I will do it, Meg. I will.” “No!” Mrs. Jones, disturbed by the commotion, burst into the room and found her older daughter clutching a knife to her heart and her younger daughter bawling her eyes out and pleading for her sister to drop the knife. “My God, Aphrodite, DROP THE F*CKING BUTCHER KNIFE!” she shouted. “No,” Aphrodite said quietly. “I won’t.” “Do it now!” “NO! NO, NO, NO, NO! I WON’T DROP IT! I WON’T, I WON’T, I WON’T!”

“Please, baby, just put it down and come to me and tell me what’s bothering you,” Mrs. Jones said sweetly. “No.” Aphrodite began to move the knife closer to her heart, but Megara jumped on her. The knife missed its target, and instead plunged itself into Aphrodite’s shoulder. Aphrodite screamed out in pain while Mrs. Jones and Megara screamed out in terror. “APHRODITE! APHRODITE! OH MY GOD, MEGARA, CALL AN AMBULANCE!” Megara quickly jumped up and ran downstairs to find the phone while Mrs. Jones wrapped her arms around Aphrodite’s bloody body and sobbed.

Chapter Twenty-Two

“This is all my fault,” Megara said once again, between sobs. “No, it’s not. It’s Aphrodite’s own fault,” Tom said again, ruffling her hair. The pair sat in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting for news of Aphrodite’s condition. Bill burst into the waiting room and ran towards them. “How is she?!” he asked nervously. Tom shrugged and Megara buried her face into his chest and sobbed harder. “I know what you and Aphrodite did, Bill,” she suddenly said. Bill’s eyes widened and he held his breath. “It’s okay.” She swallowed a lump in her throat and said the following words. “I don’t want to be with you anyway, not anymore. My sister obviously loves you more than I do, and you love her more than you love me.” “You’re not mad?” Bill asked incredulously. Meg shook her head. “No. Because I’ve been cheating on you too. With Tom. And I’ve realized that I love him more than I could ever love you.”

Bill stared wide-eyed at Tom and Megara. His face didn’t show signs of anger or sadness; actually, it didn’t show any sign of emotion. “Wha-what?” Tom sighed and explained the story to Bill. “So all this time, Tom, you’ve been going out behind my back with my girlfriend?” Bill questioned. “And all this time, Bill, you’ve been going out behind my back with my sister?” Meg shot back. “Bill, I won’t be mad at you or Aphrodite if you’re not mad at me or Tom.” “I’m not mad at you two. I’m actually happy.” He regretted the last sentence as it came out of his mouth. He most definitely was not happy; the one he loved had just tried to kill herself and was now in surgery to repair her damaged shoulder.

“Good news,” the doctor said, walking into the waiting room and over to Megara, Bill, and Tom. “Aphrodite’s surgery was successful. She will be perfectly fine after a few weeks. However, she is in a deep depression, so we’re going to begin sending her to therapy as soon as she gets out of the hospital in a few days.” Megara grinned. “So she’ll be alright?!” The doctor nodded. Meg let out a squeal of delight and Bill laughed with joy at the fact that his girlfriend would live. “Can we see her?” Tom asked. The doctor shook his head. “Not tonight. She’ll be resting. Come visit her tomorrow.” With that, he turned on his heel and left. Tom, Bill, and Meg went back to the twins’ apartment to sleep.

Chapter Twenty-Three

Sunlight streaming in through the window awoke Megara, and she slowly opened her eyes. She found herself snuggled next to Tom in his bed. She gazed at his handsome face and smiled. He was so cute when he slept. Megara put her head next to his bare chest and breathed in and out slowly, inhaling and exhaling Tom’s scent. Tom stirred and soon awoke. “Good morning, darling,” Megara said sweetly, grinning. Tom smiled and scooted closer to Meg. “Good morning to you too.”

Suddenly Megara sat up. “Oh my God, I completely forgot!” “Hmm? Forgot what?” Tom, who was still half asleep, asked. “About Aphrodite!” Remembering the incident that happened last night, Tom and Megara immediately jumped out of bed and rushed to get dressed.

About half an hour later, they arrived at the hospital and walked into Aphrodite’s hospital room. “Aphrodite!” Megara rushed over to the bed and gently hugged her sister. Showing no emotion, Aphrodite simply said, “Hi, Meg.” Megara looked at Tom and Bill, who had arrived an hour before his brother and ex-girlfriend. “Can you guys give me a minute?” They nodded, and stepped out of the room.

Megara broke down into tears and stared at the empty shell that was her sister. Suicidal, depressed, pained. This was not Aphrodite. It couldn’t be. The girl laying in the hospital bed would never in a million years be Aphrodite, the girl who was obsessed with boys and clothes and who always had to have her way. “Oh, Aphrodite,” Meg sobbed, falling to her knees. Her sister stared at her as she bawled. “I can’t believe this happened to you. This is so unlike you.” She looked up at the bandaged girl. Aphrodite gazed deeply into her younger sibling’s eyes for a moment, and Megara thought she saw a flicker of the old Aphrodite in her baby blue eyes. Aphrodite broke the gaze and sighed heavily. “People do crazy things when they’re in love,” she replied.

People do crazy things when they’re in love. This was the explanation Aphrodite had to offer after she had slipped into a depression, began cutting herself, and attempted suicide? She had done all of this for a boy? For Bill?

And yet something made Megara believe her. People actually do crazy and insane things when they’re love-stricken. Look at Meg, for an example. She had cheated on her boyfriend with his twin. Surely this was not sane? Aphrodite was right. Megara knew that the sister she knew and loved would come back. She was positive of it just as soon as the sentence escaped Aphrodite’s lips. Meg squealed and squeezed Aphrodite’s hand. Aphrodite looked at her sister for a long moment and smiled. It was a weak smile, yes, but it was the first smile she had had in nearly two weeks. Everything would be fine, Megara was sure of it.

Chapter Twenty-Four


One Year Later

Aphrodite stood in front of a mirror in her bedroom, frowning at the three-inch scar on her shoulder. “Now I can’t wear anything strapless or anything with spaghetti straps,” she whined. Megara laughed. Oh, how she had missed her sister’s familiar attitude. “It’s not funny, Meggy,” Aphrodite hissed, glaring at her little sister. “Oh, stop whining!” Megara demanded. “You can just find a plastic surgeon or something and they’ll get rid of the scar.” “Plastic surgeons don’t do that, Meggy!” Aphrodite said. “At least, I don’t think they do.”

Megara looked more closely at the scar. “You can too wear strapless clothes!” she said. “You can’t even notice the scar unless you look really close at it.” Aphrodite glanced in at the mirror. “I suppose I could...”

The bedroom door burst open, and in ran Tom and Bill, holding bouquets of roses. Aphrodite gasped and took the roses from Bill. “How sweet!” she exclaimed, squeezing him. “Aw, thank you, babe,” Megara said, kissing Tom tenderly. Tom grinned. “It was all my idea.” “Oh, whatever,” Bill scoffed. “It was my idea, and you know it.” Megara laughed at the bickering brothers.

“Megara, I want to ask you something,” Tom announced, taking Meg’s hand and leading her into her bedroom. He sat on the bed, and pulled her down with him. “Look, I won’t be sad if you don’t want to or anything, because I know you’re only eighteen...” Megara looked at him curiously. What was he talking about?

He dug around in his back pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. He popped it open and inside was the most beautiful diamond ring Megara had ever seen. Tom looked at her anxiously. “Will you marry me?”

Tears of joy and shock began rolling down Meg’s face. She was crying so hard that she couldn’t speak. Tom began to panic. “Megara, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out or pressure you, you don’t have to marry me or anything, I just wanted to ask and see what you’d say, cos I love you so much--” he stuttered. Megara put a finger to his lips to silence him and giggled. “I’m crying because I’m so happy,” she told him. “And of course, I’ll marry you.” Tom’s eyes lit up as he slipped the ring onto Meg’s finger. She threw her arms around him and kissed him passionately.

Megara jumped off the bed and raced into the living room. “MOM! BILL! APHRODITE! GET DOWN HERE!” she screamed at the top of her lungs. “What do you want?” Aphrodite asked rudely as she walked down the stairs, tugging down her shirt. Bill looked peeved as he wiped lipstick off his face. Obviously, the two had been in a major makeout session, but Megara couldn’t care less because she was so happy. “What are you screaming about, Meg?” Mrs. Jones asked, coming down the stairs. As the three and Tom came to a stop at her feet, she told them the news.

“Tom and I are getting married!” she announced, squealing. “That’s so great!” Aphrodite yelled enthusiastically. She threw her arms around her little sister and squeezed her tightly. Bill, wide-eyed, stared at Tom. “She must have you whipped, if you’re getting married,” he said in shock. Tom, grinning, just shrugged. “That’s wonderful, darling!” Mrs. Jones said happily, hugging her daughter when Aphrodite let go of her. “I couldn’t be happier for the two of you.”

And neither could Megara. After everything she, Bill, and Tom had gone through, they deserved happiness, and they all three now had it. Bill was dating Aphrodite, and Tom and Meg were engaged. Everything was perfect, and no one could ruin it.
