Tokio Hotel are really going fast. The new songs aren’t here yet, but Bill and Tom already have big plans!

What a big shock for all TH-fans: Finally the boys celebrate their comeback in Germany, but they already want to leave their hometown! Crazy!

At the 3rd of October Front man Bill [20], Guitarist Tom [20], Drummer Gustav [21] and Bassist Georg [22] the boys will rock the stage at the TV-Show “Wetten Dass..?”. But, after their big performance, Bill and Tom want to fulfill their dream: Leave Hamburg and move to California.

Singer Bill explains in Bravo-interview “We want to go to Hollywood.”
The boys recorded their new album “humanoid” in LA, but they also want to live there.

Bill: We feel great in LA. This city has amazing energy that I want to absorbe.
I would love to have a apartment in Hollywood. Also the parties and being close to the celebrities have influences in this: “for example , we met Jay-z. Wven though he is a huge star, he was very nice and relaxed.

They have also seen the famousness of miley but they aren’t friends with her.
„But we always meet her somewhere when we are in Los Angeles“ says Tom. That’s exactly the thing that the twins love about LA : They are not known as well as in Hamburg, or Magdeburg. Everyone knows them there and there’s always someone following them. They can be more free in Hollywood – because the other stars are more popular. Inclusive Paparazzi, Fan-Hype, Groupies : Tom has enough One-Night-Stands and flirts.

The heartbreaker wants for the first time in his life a normal relationship : „I think really differently about love now. I’d be really glad if I would fall in love.“ Love, Party and Celebrities – Three good reasons for moving to LA. But the German Fans don’t have to be nervous now. Bill explains : „Germany is and always will be our home. In the future, we’ll still be trying to be in our homeland as often as possible.“ Well, at least a little hope for the fans ..

Star-Duell

Sprouse vs. Kaulitz

SPROUSE

Looks: The identical Twins Dylan and Cole [17] you can’t really hold them out from each other.: Surfer- hair style and street style.
Succes: at the age of 6 months they were in front of the camera’s for the first time, with the TV-show “Hotel Zack & Cody” they became superstars.
Screamings: They grow all the time. The cute boys turned into real hotties.

KAULITZ

Looks: With these identical twins [20] it’s easier to hold them apart from eachother: Bill loves spectacular outfits and hair styles, Tom dresses in Hip-Hop style.
Succes: from 2005 on, they are really big in Europe with selling more than 5 million CD’s.
Meanwhile they concur The USA.
Screamings: Till now always MEGA. But will it stay like that after the comeback?

Look.

The Sprouse twins win- they are already stars for their whole life.

Ehmm I know its what the boys want that matters, but I really dont think that moving to Hollywood would be a good idea. Yeah, it'll be easier to record and do interveiws and it wont be a big deal if they want to go out somewhere, but seeing how other young celebrities in hollywood turned out... :???:

That and some of the european fans will be even more mad at america for "stealing Tokio Hotel from them"

OK and they're comparing them to the Sprouse twins and they lost?! Pshhhh

I think just having a apartment there doesn't mean move permanently. They have said before that having a house in a warm place would be nice. Now they feel more at home in LA.

Wow that's crazy! But the thing is that they're kind of right! I mean it's really unlikely they'll get the same level of craziness here, that they get in Europe. You know what I mean?

As for the effect on other Hollywood stars, TH will always be TH. They're different people than is in Hollywood right now. And I'm sure European fans will be upset, I would too, but it's not like we're holding them hostage. If they want to move, that's their choice.

there i said it, and it's just my opinion.
i like the intrigue of knowing they'll be "coming back....."

well, they've always said they'll never leave Germany.. so I guess they mean they could have a place in LA and go there whenever they're visitting instead of staying in hotels...

but yeah.. I wouldn't want them moving away from Germany, either.. but if they do, it's their choice.

I try really hard now to act like an adult, really hard...

But... yeah, I do feel they are turning their backs on Europe for good. I was a little worried already last year, but now I feel like this. I UNDERSTAND their reasons, that's not the point. Just feeling... very disappointed.

They have a bunch of good reasons to move there, I admit that. Well, at least reasons. I'm not sure if all of them are so good. Anyways, it's their lifes and they'll do whatever they like.

Edit. and if saying this aloud somehow.... I don't know.. hurts me here, then so be it. I just needed to say that (at least after saying that aloud on one other site and get laughed at).

They have mentioned a few times that they would like to have an apartment in LA and that they don't see themselves living permanently anywhere else but in Germany.

Perhaps they'd like to spend some of their free time in LA because they feel they might have more privacy than in Germany. If they ever move temporarily to LA I just hope they don't get absorbed into that lifestyle.

I would just about die of happiness if they got a home in LA/Hollywood. I swear, I would drive down there every weekend and see if I could see them. (No stalking, though, I swear)

I live like an hour-two hours(**** traffic D:<) from there :D :D

Oh lawdy, just thinking about it makes me all bubbly

I know it's a sensitive topic for European fans, but I really don't see how they're turning their backs on Europe. They're doing all this promotion for the new album there, now. They started with Germany, then France, then Sweden, Finland..later this week Italy..next week Spain...

The thing is, they haven't quite conquered the US market just yet, which is why they focus their attention a lot more on the US lately.. which they don't need to do as much in Europe anymore because over there people have been crazy about them since '05. They US is huge.. it will take a while... but I don't think that means they're forgetting about Europe. If they wanted to, they could have come here before starting promo in Europe. At most I think they'll do some promo here and then go back to Europe to kick off the tour.

I hope I didn't offend you, it's just how I feel about it.

No, no, of course you didn't :-)

As I tried to say before, my emotions are unreasonable and I can't defend them any way. Their are emotions. I wish I wouldn't have them, but I do.

They have all reason to do so and you are absolutely right there. If they want to break in US, they need to be there A LOT. They started promoting here and probably touring too. But honestly I'm not sure if they are able to "keep" Europe. There has been some swaying on European fanbase, if I've understood correctly. This will hurt it even more for sure. I'm afraid that in a future they need to make some sort of choosing between two continent (or I just might be wrong as well). We'll see about that in a future...

But yeah, there is no reason or sense for these thoughts. Just feeling pretty bad right now. Like abandoned. So immature that I hate myself right now *bitter smile*

It's alright. I've talked to a lot of fans from Europe, and most of them feel the same way. It's understandable that you guys feel really attached to them, and the US can be absorbing, not gonna lie. I hope they never get to the point of having to choose between two continents, because I'm sure not even they would be able to do that. If some fans are gonna stop following them, there's just no way to prevent that, but there will always be people supporting them, no matter what.

I'm optimistic this time around fans all over will be happier, since both albums were released at the same time, but we can only have so much of them. It's only four of them, and millions of us. What they try to do is no easy task, and I'm sure they know that. Still, I'm confident they'll never leave you guys behind, they adore their fans and have shown it so many times. But of course this is only my opinion, I can't speak for them.

That's not the whole truth......it's more complicated then that.
The Germans had it really good during the war, the country was prospering and after the war they had nothing. The Jews and the ppl in camps saw it that way for sure. The new generation doesn't think about that at all.

I can tell you a lot about it after all the discussions ppl had on YT but it's a mess really. Your teacher really shouldn't say that because it gives the wrong view of things.

I agree. It's already happening with the Berlin wall. For older people there are still East- and West-Germany, but for younger generation there really isn't anymore. At WWII things were really complicated, so there wasn't one truth or opinion even right after the war. Today the meaning of US as a savior (?) of Germany is practicly nothing. In war things are rarely that simple.

Of course I'm not german, but I've been awake on my history class. There is no connection these days with WWII and the opinions of younger generations.

I can't say anything about European celebrities. But, in america, the best way to keep yourself "pure" from the celebrity high life is to separate yourself from it.

Bill/Tom are going to dive into it. They will mingle with celebs get to know who's who.

I have a feeling they are moving to LA to build a better foundation, make it more possible to be a successful act in America.

They will need connections. and they've been namedropping Jay-Z for quite some time now.

sure, it's great to know a celeb. but, bragging about it is a bit tacky! lol!!! Obviously, the twins want to be known in America. and for that to happen, bigger names will need to introduce them and get them inside that world.

Nicole S. couldn't do it! Lol!!!!

what?! but she's HOT!

how about they just get known through their music, JA?! oh this publicity world can totally annoy me sometimes.

I imagine that this would help their career, but would it benefit them?
Ehh, I don't think so.
yep I agree. It'd definitely help their career, but it wouldn't benefit them as persons. Quite the opposite actually.

they will mingle with celebs and party. But, i don't think it will all be fun. The band has to network. and one of the best ways to do that is to go to parties/celeb events. I mean, it's what they've done in Europe for so long.

I think this move to LA will be mostly about work rather than pleasure.

I don't mind them moving to LA, it's their decision, but I don't want them to become fake sellouts. One reason why I love them so much is because they appear to be genuine, and honestly Hollywood would eat them alive, like they'd probably become different people.

Of course they'll be happier in the beginning with moving to a new place, that's what it was like when I moved to a new country, but it's extremely hard after all the happiness in the beginning wears off.

I know that moving there would help their careers a lot, and if they hung out with the "right" people then they'd become more popular by making tabloids, but still I don't think it'd be the best decision for them to make when it comes to them personally. I'm not worried about the G's more so the twins.

If they take up residence in L.A. then good for them. Like Ray said, they'll prolly be working more than shopping & partying.

the twins are not strangers to celebrity life. But, I must admit the celeb culture here in America can be pretty vicious. One minute you are on top of the world, the next you are considered a has-been.

I do not think we need to be too worried about the boys. Superficiality is norm in celeb world. Tom spoke about this in the Viva interview. So, it will not be a surprise to see some of that fakeness rub off on the boys. Your environment can effect you.

and truthfully, if you compare b/t from 2005 to b/t 2009, there are differences.

all in all, i do hope the boys remain grounded and do not become too wrapped up in the celeb high life. But, if it does happen. let it be temoporary! lol!!!!

So many big stars have mutiple home worldwide -I could definitely see them taking a small apartment in a celebrity high-rise in LA, like Sierra Towers.

LA seems perfect too. They could go there for winter vacation for the beach and warm weather they love. And it'd be convienent for work purposes - their record label CherryTree and the song writers are in LA too I think. Probably save a bundle on hotel and airfare having an apartment in LA.

they act like they arent known in America. California is gonna attack them, just like fans did in Germany. now if they moved to Wisconsin(in my dreams, but i wish XD) they could probly go out on the town without being noticed as much.

XD
I don't know why they'd want to go to a state like Wisconsin... I think they want a place in CA for the weather and Wisconsin weather sucks.

Anyway, you my dear have never been to Hollywood or LA. The boys would blend in quite nicely there and as long as they stayed away from tourist areas (because tourists are crazy as ****, always looking to find famous people) they wouldn't really be approached too often.

I think I've said this elsewhere but at the moment... the boys run absolutely no risk of being eaten alive in Hollywood. They're not big enough in the states for anyone (self)important to actually give a **** about them.

That might sound harsh but it's very true. The only way they could get eaten is if they dove into the mouth of the beast, and well, if they're doing that then they're probably already a bit corrupted anyway.

I don't know if having a place here would be a good idea or bad idea. I don't know enough about the boys and their lives to be able to judge. If it's just for celebrities then, they can have fun with THAT, but it could be any number of other things as well. Moving here to get away from the insanity in Europe, for example, would be highly appealing if I were in their shoes.

You wrote that a while ago, ut I wanted to say something about the East/ West Germany thing:
I think I belong to the younger generation because I was born 83. 89 my family drove through the GDR to look around. Thats 20 years ago and one might think that the two countries have really grown together. ButI don't feel it!
It's alway mentioned if someone is from the East. People still make jokes about getting the wall back so all the lazy out of work Ossis (East-Germans) aren't there anymore. And also I read an article a few month ago that an east German student that studied in the West wrote that they made jokes about her being from the east (like: You don't have bananas over there, right?) at every party.

So that isn't over yet.

But I think for East German people USA was the symbol for freedom before 89.
So I guess a lot of the East German names for children like Bill and Tom and Mandy and Peggy and Cindy are chosen by the parents because even if they couldn't go there they could name their children like those names they knew from that country.

Oh, okay... My own impression is based on several conversations I had with german students last spring. On the other hand they were mainly from West. But I count on you and maybe my impression was wrong or at least inaccurate. I guess, itä's one of those point of view -things . But thank you for your comment!

I honestly think they will lose themselves, they said it clearly they want to be in that world. of being surrounded by other celebs and everyone knows that celebs in America sell out a lot.
Their careers of course will grow bigger and bigger.

i hope it doesnt happen, but sadly it will especially Bill he wanted to be super known and famous since he was lil and hes going to get it.

Tom said in that las video that fame changes people he meant it ironically but it will in the end. Life and the experiences change everybody so they will change. And like you said people that surround you determine if you change for the bettter or the worse!

So in the end there is nothing we can say or do to affect on them. And we shouldn't in a way that it's their lives we are talking about and we don't own them.... I still find this sad in a way I can really define. The change of our lives and us is always a result of our environment and social relationships as there's already said. They've made their choice and in a way it's right move and helps them a lot, but there is always a price to pay in everything. I hope they are doing the right decision. I wish they wouldn't go, but it's just my opinion.

I hope, that if they move out there for good that they won't lose themselves, but of course the chances of them changing drastically will be huge.
I hate the bring up the girlfriend topic, but I think that one thing that could help them stay level-headed would be to date a girl that was down to earth. Even if she is a celebrity, I mean it's hard to find celebrities that are themselves, but they're out there, or even dating a normal girl. If they liev in LA or Hollywood then they should get all the normal they can.

Part of me hopes the do move, but the other part knows that if they do it could all end badly. I know that international success is what they really want, but happiness should never cost you yourself.
They could be the biggest band in the world, but for them to be really happy, they have to be themselves. Or they lose everything. Money and fame can only do so much for happiness.

Rammstein have spoken a lot about this since they grew up in East Germany and is in their 30-40s today. It's true US was a symbol for freedom to them and there was even a rumor that the US didn't exist, that is was just a fantasy. Flocka, the keyboardplayer of R+, says so in a interview on YT. But if we speak about how ppl felt right after the war the US was no savior (since that was the original question lol). Pppl went from a wealthy life to a poor one. So the old generation didn't see the US as a savior, the middle generation in the East saw the US as a way to freedom but that had nothing to do with the US as a savior from the nazis since Germany had it pretty good then and this generation can't remember that since they are too young, and the current generation have a more normal relation to the US I think. They know it's not perfect and have no need to flee there to gain freedom. Richard Kruspe from R+ fled over the mountains to the US and that wasn't long ago. I think that's fascinating.

Who wouldn't want to live in L.A, its great for business and they'll enjoy America for once instead of touring through it.
