I'm a Tom fan through and through.
At first, when I was first discovering them, I was kinda like "Aw, they're all so cute...". But then I started particularly noticing that strange baggy-clothed boy with dreadlocks in Durch Den Monsun... and in every other video... and it sounds so lame and goofy to say so, but my eyes would go to him in every video I watched of them... and that was all it took.

Well, I was a Bill girl to begin with... *has fond memories* :)

I've always wondered when people say that oooh, Tom is sooo hot and therefore they join the dark side, because it's really hard for me to understand. I understand it, but I can't feel that way myself. Sure, he is so hot that I could toss water on him and it'll just steam away, but it's not the main reason I'm on a dark side. It never has been. His hotness can't turn me in or out from this side.

Like I've said many times before; I like Bill a lot. He is very beautiful, charismatic and intriguying guy. He shines in a way that it's hard to ever leave him in the shadow, but instead he comes in and immediately charms everyone. Bill is a master piece in many ways. I couldn't never underestimate him.

But Tom has something Bill doesn't have. It's not in his looks, in his gorgeous body or in his overall hotness. In Tom there are things which are shown just when you actually want to see under the surface. It's in the way he acts, he treats others, he IS. I don't know the word for it, but it's something that makes him so... sympathic, you know. So... warm. I have to use the word warm, because that's the closest word I can make up.

The reason why I prefer Tom always over Bill is not in his looks, it's in his heart. I'm not saying that Bill hasn't as much heart, but Bill can never have that warmth Tom has. In his slopsided smirk, in his eyes, in his way to be a big brother, the way he adores their dogs and his brother, his dry sense of humour, his little moments of sudden shyness when he turns his look away, in his way to fidget and fiddle all the time, in his super comfy clothes, which make him almost disappear inside of them, in his hidden fanboying and excitement of things and people, in his insecurities and self conciousness, in his softness behind all of this. In his smile.

Bill can never have those the way Tom has and that's the reason I will never change my side, because those things don't disappear even if some day abs or biseps would.

It's almost strange how I morphed from being a Bill girl to a Tom girl.

I used to be almost obsessive about Bill, especially during the 'Scream/Schrei' period. And then in the middle of last year, I realized that I was beginning to observe Tom more and more. It wasn't a choice I consciously made. I just felt drawn to him more than Bill as days went by.

I still like Bill. A lot. He's the heart and soul of Tokio Hotel, and I know they wouldn't have had even a fraction of their longevity or success without Bill, but these days I feel like Bill is becoming a little... I don't know if I have the right words for this... out of reach? I don't know. Somehow he's not the Bill I was drawn to a few years back. I could go on and on about this. I always have this tugging feeling at my heartstrings whenever I think about the old Bill, but that's a different topic altogether, heh. ;)

Tom, on the other hand, has grown into a really well-rounded guy, in my opinion. There's no need for me to talk about looks ;) , but I do think he's more mature and well-developed as a man now. Sure, he still has that sarcastic and extremely acerbic side to him but I don't ever want him to lose his sense of humor. He's great the way he is. I like the fact that he seems way more grounded than Bill. It's not Bill's fault though. They're just different, and it's a matter of preference, which, I believe, is what this thread is all about, anyway. Tom seems like the guy I would like to sit and have a nice, normal conversation with, without being judged and analyzed. I would be extremely nervous having a conversation with Bill. I don't know when and how I might step on his toes. Bill intimidates me in that sense. All perfectionists do. They can't help it.

But yeah, all things considered, I prefer Tom, because he just seems like a regular, uncomplicated, down-to-earth guy I could hang out with.

I don't know if I've digressed, though, seeing as to how I'd never know the guys on a personal level to really say who I 'prefer'. All we see of them is from the outside, touching on a very superficial layer. I'm sure if I knew them on a personal level, my answer could be very different.

I have never been into BIll, not really. I had my moments, when he fascinated me very much - and he still do - but I've always prefered Tom since the day one.

However I understand completely of what you mean by how Bill intimitades you on that level. He does that. It's notr his fault, but he is too...perfect in a one way. It's feels weiord to say, but I would be SCARED to talk to him. For me approaching Tom would be way easier. I don't know why. Bill is Mona-Lisa-painting. You just CAN't touch something like that. He is suppoosed to be admired from a distance, the expensive piece of art mom always told not to touch. Tom is different. That's all I can say.

Yes, we can all be wrong and it's only one side we see on them. But then again; it's the first impression, whether they want it or not and it counts. It counts not only for us, but for other people as well, when they meet the boys - outside this fandom.

I just felt that I connected with him the most. He's the first I ever saw of TH and the second I did see him, I saw something special.
He's charming, sweet, not afraid of emotions, he has talent, and he is who he wants to be without caring what anyone has to say.

Bill for these reasons: his personalty is what I look fir in a guy that i would want to marry one day. A very happy, spunky person. But again, he can become serious when needed. He doesn't care what people think of him. He is very caring and sweet. Including his voice, his voice is very sweet. He has his own unique style, and I love it when people don't try and be posers. We have our own opinions and our own style, we don'tneed to follow someone else. And of course, he also has good looks. One thing I almost forgot was that he has this really really clse relationship with his brother. They're inseparable. And you don't have to be twins in order to have that kind of relationship with your siblings. I would know. I used to have that kind of relationship with my sister, and now it has dwindled, and I kinda put her off, when shenwants us to be like them, she wants us to put both of us in front of each other, and be inseparable again. People thought we were twins because of our close relationship. And also because of our closeness in age. But that is one thingthat I admire about bill. He will not forget about his brother. And infeel the same exact way if my sister were to die, I'd feel like I should have died, not her

I've always been drawn to Bill. The very obvious reason is his unique look, and what's fascinating about Bill is that his clothes are only a snippet of his OOZING CONFIDENCE & PERSONALITY. Bill is very hard to decipher - he always manages to make me wonder about what he's thinking about each and every minute whenever I get to lay my eyes on him. I feel as if Bill would be the only person whom I can really have VERY LONG conversation with covering a wide range of topics...it doesn't matter if it's just a trivial thing or a philosophical topic, I'm sure it'll be exciting to know what he thinks. I love how talkative he can get and how respectful and sincere he is (he's good at giving diplomatic and undoubtedly honest answers during interviews). This just shows how honest and expressive he is when it comes to his points of view without offending anyone, and I just love people who are like that. It's like he has this endless stream of ideas and inspiration coming from him and I'm really compelled to know each and every thought and detail. Having said this, this makes me cite his Photo Gallery (Bill's Gallery) on their website. The pictures are just mesmerizing it's like you're in a dream - a glimpse of Bill's inner workings - beyond the fame, fortune, and the reality and the kind of life he's leading.

When I see Bill, it's like I don't see Bill Kaulitz, even if he were to dress down as any regular guy would. I see his aura. There's something in Bill that you just can't see or compare with any other guy. Bill is not your typical guy, and that's what I love about him...!

Tom for me is a very cool guy too, very handsome, very funny and uber-talented in his own way, (and I have to say I love how the twins are so different but they complement and balance each other perfectly) but to me Tom is more fitting to be my brother or friend. I do believe that Tom has more wisdom compared to Bill (I wouldn't argue about that), but I don't know, I guess I'll leave it up to the twins who know themselves better than anyone else:

When I first discovered Tokio Hotel (while trawling youtube) and saw the 'Don't Jump" vid I was all about the Bill, with the lion mane hair and the unique style he intrigued me. Then as I watched more of vids and interviews I thought he was just uber adorable and sweet. But over the last year or so I just found myself drifting towards Tom. I think part of it started with Bill's change in style, I just couldn't love the dreads (sorry I know many adore them but urrg no) so I started focusing more on the other members, and Tom's sense of humor and casualness drew me in. And as they have matured more i also see Bill as becoming more intimidating and untouchable while Tom seems more down to earth and approachable. So while I still like Bill in a way (more now the dreads are gone) I have signed my blood contract to the Darkside now.

Hmm well I'm a Bill lady because of how he can be silly one second, sexy the next, and then super polite and tactful. I also love his writing (songs I mean); I love just reading his lyrics more as poetry/diary entries as opposed to songs.

Bill: "Tom, what do you think the stage should look like? I think we need to do somethink crazy!"

Tom: "Yes, like maybe something with cars."

Bill: "Nay, I was thinking something more rock and roll."

Tom: "Bill, Rock n' Roll and cars can go together."

Bill: "No, Tom, I just want something amazing and I don't want cars."

Tom: "Bill, why don't you want cars?"

Bill: "Because it's not for me!"

Tom: "You're right it's not for you it's for de band!"

Back to the kitchen:
Bill's Wife: "So what did she say?"

Tom's Wife: "She asked me who did I think I was! I told her, 'Uhh his WIFE!"

Bill's Wife: "Oh gosh! Wow, these fans--sometimes I just want to grab them and shake them and ask if they ever respect themselves or my relationship with Bill. I can remember this one time when we were..."

Bill (from the living room): "TOM! I DON'T WANT ANY CARS!"

Tom: "BOY, YOU BETTER LEARN!"

Tom's Wife (rolls eyes): "Oh gosh, what are they arguing about now?"

Bill's Wife (shaking head): "Pick something."

Tom's Wife: "Well let's go make sure they don't kill each other. I'm tired of having to replace all of my good pottery. Oh! I swear, them wrecking my new in-table was the last straw..."

BOTH WOMEN WALK INTO THE LIVING ROOM WHERE TOM AND BILL ARE STILL ARGUING.

Bill's Wife: "HEY! What are you two fussing on about now?"

Tom: "Bill's being stupid and wont consider my idea about putting cars in the show!"

Bill: "I did consider it--I just don't like it, Tom!"

BOTH WOMEN ROLL THEIR EYES AND LOOK AT EACH OTHER.

Tom's Wife: "You want to take this one? I got the last one."

Bill's Wife: *SIGH* "Do I have a choice?"

Tom's Wife: "Not really. :grin:"

Bill's Wife: "Okay, why don't you do a stage that's like a back-alley with grunge and trashcans. Then we can park a car in there somewhere to use at some point in the show. Tom, that would make you happy and we can make it really dark except for some "moonlight" and maybe a streetlight or backdoor building light for Bill. That would make it rock n' roll AND carlicious."

THE BOYS LOOK AT GLANCE AT EACH OTHER AND SMILE.

Tom and Bill (shrug shoulders): "OKAY!"

Actually no, not really. I'm not saying I can't see them having kids it's just I think they'd wait a bit and get used to being married for a few years. I mean, marriage and touring can't be an easy thing to balance.

I think I said it in another post somewhere but I think Bill would do well with a girl because he's into the whole romance thing. Usually (well from my experience) when a guy's like that he's got a big heart and can handle a girl's emotions. Usually they're pretty quick to pick up on someone's feelings and small cues so it would suit him to have a girl. He'd be really gentle with her. She'd be a total daddy's girl, too. He'd tell her stories, sing her songs, etc. I'm not saying he's going to be a "Oh let's go have tea parties!" type of guy but she'll definitely be his 2nd love.

Tom, on the other hand I could see having a girl first, then a little boy.
:laugh: It would be so ironic for him to have to freak about guys trying stuff on his daughter when he used to be "that guy" beforehand. It'll be a nice wake-up call I'm sure. I'm not saying I wish stress on him but I am a sucker for good irony. ;)
The boy would be last and super cute--he'd be a mini Tom always following him around everywhere, trying to play the same instruments, wear the same clothes. Might end up being a dancer (hip hop/b-boy) though I don't know why I get that vibe. But it could be possible he'd get only a boy(s) but I don't know...it just seems odd I suppose. Grant it I could see him having the boy first THEN the girl sooo....:roll:

Again, that's just my opinion/visual of them. I have no clue who the guys are, what they'd want, OR what they're going to get so don't take my imaginations too seriously. :laugh:
