OFC means original female character if you didn't know. This is going to be a story about Bill falling in love with a 17-year-old fan. I can't really give any more info now because they'd be spoilers, though. I think it's probably a much-used plot (not sure because I don't look at all of these fics) but I'll try my best to do it well. I like criticism because it helps me get better, so give any whenever you'd like. But please don't be too harsh on me; I'm only 12, and you can criticize as long as it's constructive. BTW, just because I'm young doesn't mean I write like a little kid. I'll stop rambling now and start writing the story. Look for it soon!

Well, I'm interested to see what you'll do with the plot. I will be looking foraward to reading it when it comes out. I will be glad to give constructive criticism and praise where appropriate. I'm also interested to see what you can write, from what I can tell, you're not going to put out something full of typos. That's always nice. I'm glad you posted this online. When I was your age, I was a dreadful writer. [not saying that you are] When I posted my work online, readers helped me to develop as a writer. Hope the same happens to you. Lookin' forward to it soon!

Sorry for the rambling.

Chapter 1

“BLUH-MAY CHOOSE TO DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE WITH YOUR SUMMER AND STOP BEING A LOSER!” shouted the kids at me on my way home from yet another horridly predictable day at Whilsor High. I rolled my eyes as they were being immature toads and kept the quick pace my long legs made me walk at.

You don’t know me, so I’ll introduce myself. My name is Blume, and as you’ve probably already guessed, I don’t really have any friends. It’s not that I’m weird; I just don’t really put myself out there. Some people once asked me why I’m so shy. I told them a simple “I don’t know,” and the next thing you know, the whole school tries to avoid me because they think I have some disease that keeps me from interacting with others. No one wants to be with “that special kid”, so they insist on acting like I’m a human repellant. I don’t have a disease, but I’m sort of glad they think so. It gives me space to me with myself, and myself only. Don’t get me wrong—I’m not a hermit or anything. I like to be around people, but mostly I like alone time.

Since it was the last day of my junior year, they sent our stuff from the whole year home with us. Having the great luck I always have, half the books and returned assignments were just about half an inch too big to fit in my book bag, so I had to find a way to carry 4 textbooks in the bag on my shoulder, another big one in my left hand, and huge cardboard-paper posters in my right, the whole way home. Walking home was usually easy and quick, but it does add a bit of a challenge when you have to do all of this. Twice already I’d dropped a poster on the side of the road and almost gotten mauled by a red truck and silver Mercedes.

I finally arrived at the door to my house and opened the door with strain, due to everything I had to carry. The door opened and the first thing I did was go upstairs, telling my parents that I was here and that it was just like another day of school, before they asked anything.

Upstairs in my room I dropped my arms, scattering the books and papers in a random corner in my room. I saw movement across from me, in the mirror, when I did this, and I stared into it. I could see myself, a girl who was too tall for her age, almost as tall as the senior guys in my school. My skin wasn’t flawless; I had moles around my body, but thankfully there weren’t that much and most were teeny, except the one on the inside of my right elbow. I wasn’t stick-skinny and had some fat on my body, but it wasn’t extremely visible so I didn’t worry about that.

My hair was dark brown with some white streaks I had put in it a few weeks ago, and my now blue-short covered legs were longer than my torso. The latter was covered with a pure white cami. I turned to my side and frowned. My chest was never that big, and I didn’t think it will ever be. There was something there, but not a lot like some girls.

Lastly, my face was sort of tan like the rest of my body, but it wasn’t a nasty orange color. My eyes were a color that I still couldn’t distinguish, despite having them like that for most of my life, but I’d say they were a cross between grey and green with semi-long blackish eyelashes, and I had some freckles around my nose and cheeks. I always thought my nose made me look like an elf, but people disagreed. It’s probably just to spare my feelings. My lips were a semi-dark pink and I guess you could say they were on the border between big and small, but leaning toward big.

Soon I was lying on the bed with my lime green iPod Nano playing beside me and I resumed reading ‘Betrayed’ by P.C. and Kirsten Cast from where I stopped last night. This’ll sound really dorky, but I love books with plots and creatures that can’t be real in reality. My especial favorite was vampires. For some reason they seemed really cool, romantic, and very hot at the same time. These guys in the book, Erik and Laurent—Man, the main girl’s so lucky she has 2 sexy vampires and a hot human after her!

Ah, I had Tokio Hotel blasting in my ears, a teen vampire novel, and it was finally summer. Could life get any better?

One thing: Blume means flower in German.

I have a fictionpress, but don't the rules say that you can't post anything about real things? Like, every part of your story has to be made up, doesn't it?.

I have a fictionpress as well. I believe that the rules say you can't talk about real people. I think they had a situation a couple years back where people decided to sue the site.

Chapter 2

After reading and jamming to music, Blume decided to go on the computer. The first thing she did was check her email to see if any of her iTunes alerts had been released. Then it was to the official Tokio Hotel website and US forums. It appeared that the boys had just recently been on RTL. The video on Youtube had a translation, and a sad smile appeared on her face when Bill said that he was tired of being lonely and hoped to find love soon. She wished that she was his lucky girl, but the chance was over one in a million.
She looked out the window, and saw that it was now getting dark. It wasn’t black like when she usually went to bed, but those days were over. It was summer now, and she could relax and go to sleep on time. During the school year she had killer tests and tons of homework, none of which could be finished easily and before dark. She had been sleep-deprived during most of the year, and was happy to finally sleep in.
Her usual nightly routine followed. Brushing her teeth, washing her face, all of that stuff. She slipped into her cute PJ pants with cupcakes dotting them, a large blue T-shirt, and got into bed. Blume turned over on her side and looked at her clock, reading 8:53. The alarm was still on, so her hand reached out and turned it out. She smiled blissfully, thinking ‘It’s over for now. You can finally relax’, and fell asleep with that heavenly thought.

The next day…

Blume yawned and smoothed her straight mid-back hair, descending her carpeted stairs. In the kitchen she grabbed a box of Honey Comb cereal and poured it into a bowl with milk. As she sat there on the couch with the cereal crunching in her mouth, she wondered what she would do with the summer. Hanging out with anybody wasn’t exactly, unless someone miraculously arrived at the door right then and there, asking to be best friends.
Blume’s dad walked past the couch and kissed her forehead, saying goodbye before he left for his job as a doctor.
“Bye, honey. I’m going to work. Tell your mother I’ll pick up some eggs so she doesn’t have to.” Blume gulped as she swallowed a mouthful of cereal.
“Can you pick up more milk and cereal? We’re almost out.” Her father was almost out the door now, and called back, “I’ll try to remember, but call to remind me so I don’t forget!” The front door then closed, and she mumbled, “Yeah, I’m going to have to call him.” She put her sock-covered feet on the coffee table in front of her and flipped on the TV. The E! News came on, and Amy Paffrath came up on the screen.
“You may be one of their screaming fans, or you may not have ever heard of them at all. Whether you know them or not,” a picture of Bill, Georg, Gustav and Tom came up behind Amy on the screen, and Blume leaned forward, listening for the next part, “the German rock band Tokio Hotel has arrived in L.A. just a few hours ago.” At this the teen girl hopped up on her feet and screamed in surprise and excitement, her bowl of cereal falling in the process and shattering into a few big pieces and many tiny shards on the floor. The TV cut to a scene of the gorgeous band boys leaving the airplane and walking in the airport with their luggage, with screaming girls in the background.
Footsteps stomped down the stairs as her mother and little brother came down, panicking.
“WHAT’S WRONG?! Is there a burglar, a criminal, fire, a terrori--” Blume held her hand up and stopped her mom in mid-sentence, stumbling to the front of the TV and holding her ear to the speaker for better sound. Amy’s voice came on again as the screen showed the band signing various items for fans.
“The boy band from Germany got their start 3 years ago, when the single ‘Durch Den Monsun’ was released. Since then the members twin brothers Tom and Bill Kaulitz, Georg Listing, and Gustav Schafer, have become popular not only in their home country Germany, but all over the world. The countries include Isreal, Russia, Poland, France, and even Spain.
“The band has been to America recently in May, but they have returned once again. Why? Let them explain.” The scene switched to Tokio Hotel in what appeared to be a hotel room, and Bill was talking into a microphone with his thick but cute accent.
“We decided that we wanted to come back and have a break. Our 1000 Hotels tour is over, and we thought America was so great we wanted to come back. We discussed it with our manager David Jost, and he said it’d be fine.” Another voice came from behind camera and asked how long they’d be staying and where they’d go. “We want to stay for at least a week. At most it’d be about 3 weeks, but we might be able to convince David otherwise. We’re just staying in California because we don’t want more travel, and Tom’s scared he’ll be killed in a plane crash.” Bill laughed as Tom tried to defend himself.
“Hey, planes are not the safest thing around, okay?” Georg cut in, saying, “How do you even get girls? You’re too much of a wuss to deserve it.” Bill chuckled.
The interviewer asked if they’d be doing anything as a band, or their visit was purely for relaxation. Bill answered again, “We’re actually doing 2 concerts, and a signing,” Blume screamed again at this, ignoring her mother’s glare and brother’s attempt to cover his ears to prevent being deaf. “The signing is tomorrow, one concert is in 2 days, and the other is in a week. After that it’s pure rest for us.”
The commercial break came on, and Blume stood up and started screaming and dancing around in a way she was sure made her look like a complete moron. “I’m going to see Tokio Hotel, I’m going to see Tokio Hotel!” she sing-sang and yelled at the same time, an unpleasant combination for the other 2 in the room. What her mother said next made her stop in her tracks.
“And who says I’m going to let you?”

A/N:
Oh, if that was my mom I’d be so ticked. Behold the second chapter in all of its 3rd person glory! I actually like how this turned out. I’m pretty sure their tour isn’t over yet, but in this story it is because it fits better. Thanks for all the great reviews; it makes me feel driven to write more (as long as I don’t have WB)! Oh, and the last chapter I changed her from a 38A to a 34A because my friend said 38 isn’t exactly small, and I agree. I’ve also figured that since some people might want something to happen in the story, it’d be easier for me and the readers will be happy. If you have any suggestions, just tell me and I’ll see if I can fit it into the story. R&R please!

Chapter 3

Her heart stopped beating for a second. She turned back to her mother Judy, looking at her pith a panicked expression. A second passed, before she let out a nervous laugh.
“Good one, mom. I thought you were serious for a second,” she said, and studied Judy’s face and way she was standing. Arms crossed, cold eyes, one leg out, a hard face. Blume gasped, “You’re SERIOUS!” Her voice took a softer and heartbroken turn this time. “Why? Why mom, WHY? I’ve loved this band since I started high school, and I couldn’t see them in May because I had to study. Now they’re in L.A., and they’re doing 2 concerts and a signing, so that must mean they’re moving around in California! They’re my favorite band and they’re so close!”
“Look what you’ve done! You’ve ruined one of my good plates, the milk has probably damaged the floor, which took us a month to put in ourselves, and we’ll have ants soon! First you’re cleaning this mess up, and then you’ll know why you can’t go. Be careful to pick up every piece and don’t cut yourself.” And with that Judy left, leaving Blume’s little 14-year-old brother staring at her with wide eyes.
Blume was absolutely dumbstruck. She felt the pain creeping in, or was it just the pieces of glass she had in her leg and feet? She decided it was both, and looked down at the mess she made in her moment of excitement, before her evil mom had declared she wasn’t allowed to go, because of a broken plate. Of all the excuses parents come up with to keep kids away from what they don’t feel safe with, this had to be the stupidest.
“If it makes you feel better,” her brother Connor said while handing her paper towels and a bucket. “I’ll go get the vacuum.” he said as he was walking away. This was what she really liked about her brother, that they never got in the other’s way, and that led to a peaceful sibling relationship. They were one of the few siblings that didn’t have rivalry.
Blume checked for flakes of the broken bowl. When she didn’t find any she then bent down and gently pressed a paper towel to a part of the hardwood floor, careful not to get the glass stuck in her hands. After the paper towel absorbed all the milk it could she leaned over the bucket and wrung it out, then repeated.
Connor came back with the Swiffer vacuum, and waited until the milk was almost completely gone. “I’ll go wash that in the sink and clean the floor with it real quick. Like Mom said, we don’t want ants.” Blume stood up and handed him the damp and sticky paper towel, wincing as pain shot up from her feet to her legs. Her brother saw the tiny beads of blood forming on her legs and feet, and also added that he’d get a first-aid kit and that she should sit down. Blume obeyed and waited.
Connor came back a few minutes later with disinfectant spray, band-aids, tweezers, and tissues, damp and dry. He first tended to her leg and foot by wiping the blood off, and then used the tweezers to very carefully remove the little remains of the bowl. After that he sprayed the little wounds with disinfectant, and put band-aids on the one cuts big enough to need them. Blume thanked him and he swiftly vacuumed the floor of all remaining pieces after wiping the floor.

A/N:
Okay, if you’re confused, she had a carpeted 2nd story and stairs, and the 1st story is hardwood floor. I’m sorry for the shortness and boring-ness of this one, but I’ll try to get another chapter up soon. 2 chapters in the same day! Hey, I better get double reviews for this. Lol, just kidding. *penetrating gaze* No, seriously. R&R please! Oh, and don't worry: the band will come in the story really soon!

Chapter 4

A half-hour later…

Blume decided her mom should have calmed down at least a little by now, and knocked lightly on her parents’ bedroom before opening the door just enough to peek her head into the room.

“Mom?” she said gently. Her parent was standing in front of the mirror, using hairspray and a comb to make the ends of her brown layered shoulder-length hair stick out in a fashionable way. She stopped mid-spray as she saw her daughter’s reflection in the mirror, and gestured for her to sit on the bed.

Blume obeyed and waited for her mom to finish her hair and join her. Once she did that Judy sighed and started talking.

“Blume, I know you’re upset, and I’m sorry for yelling at you. It’s just that this whole situation of me not having a job is so stressful

“So is that the reason I can’t go? That it’s too much money? I can get a job in the mall to earn some.” Judy smiled.

“Honey, it’s not so much the money. It’s more about you not having a ride there, and I hear that concerts can get pretty dangerous. There are fans that would to anything to be close to the bands. You should go with someone so it’ll be safer, then I’ll have no problem at all.” Blume thought about it for a moment, and then asked, “Can I at least go to the signing tomorrow? If I get there earlier enough I’ll be guaranteed a signed CD from the whole band. That is, if I can take one of the cars. Dad can take his car to work, and I can take your car to the signing. That won’t be a problem, right?” Judy considered this for a bit, and her daughter looked at her intently while she was mauling it over.

“Well I suppose I could take the bus if I needed to go some place.” Blume screamed, and Judy covered her ears. It was hard, though, when someone was smothering you in a bear hug.

“Thank you mom! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!” Judy’s face was squished against Blume, making what she said next a struggle.

“Honey?” Blume hummed. “Can’t breathe.” She was released with an “oh”, and her brunette sprinted out of the room, dancing around with joy once she was in the hallway.

A/N:
None, really.

OMG, YOU GUYS! I'VE JUST LEARNED A LIFE-CHANGING FACT! IT TURNS OUT MY NAME, ISN'T MY FULL NAME AT ALL!!!I was writing about a new character in this story and I wanted to look up the name I picked out to see if it would match the character, and I told my parents the meaning and origin. I'm Russian, so my name is Raia in the US. The websites said that it was of Hebrew origin and it meant friend. I told my parents it was weird because I always thought it was Russian, and many people in Russia have that name. My dad aske dme if I knew of this president dude with Rayisa as his daughter. I said "Yeah, but my name's Raia" and he's like "It is in English. It was Rayisa before we came to America. We asked you if you wanted Rayisa or Russia on your passport, and you said Raia." My mom said it was Rayisa on my birth certificate, and I was like :o  NO.....WAY! I mean, I've known my parents asked me if I wanted Raia or Rayisa on my Passport, but I never knew Raia was just a nickname, and my best friend did! I feel so weird!

I feel so weird!

wow but now at least you know :) and wow totally cool at least your name doesnt come up on the internet meaning love and pictures of pregnant women hahaha xD soo keep writing really like this ff :D i tend to leave them unfinished too, btw i left 2 unfinished last time so im trying to get through the one im working on now :) soo keep it up i like the story so far

Chapter 5

It was about 7:00 AM the day after, and Blume was driving her mom’s blue Honda to the Virgin Mobile store. She had found out that it was the sight of Tokio Hotel’s signing. The whole drive she was trying to concentrate intently on the road, but it was getting hard. The entire time she kept thinking, “I’m going to see them, I can’t believe I’m actually going to see them!” Her excitement got up to the point where she could barely sit still.

Once she finally found a parking space she grabbed her Scream CD and a poster of the band from 2 years ago, which she had torn down from her wall bedroom wall. The picture showed most of the band looking the same, except Bill was the only one that looked a lot different now. It was back when Bill had his hair to stick up in the back and wore eyeliner like an ancient Egyptian would.

Despite coming here so early, there were a lot of people in the line. They must have started camping out here as soon as they heard the news yesterday, because there were tents, sleeping bags, and blankets at the door, all covered with bags filled with trash and little backpacks.
As Blume took her place in line she felt a little more comfortable. These people had one thing in common with her: they were big fans of Tokio Hotel. She actually felt like she could relate to these people.

“Hey,” said a female voice from behind her. Blume turned around to see who it was. A girl who looked to be about her age was sitting on a picnic blanket that was parked on the sidewalk, with a Scream CD and poster (it was the one where they were piled on the floor in mud) next to her. She had pure red hair, green eyes, a kind face, and a petite body, but you could also see some muscle. She wore a white tank top and was sitting with her legs under her, because she had on a baby blue miniskirt. She resembled Ariel from The Little Mermaid in a way. Overall, she was very beautiful.

“Would you like to sit down? You’ll get tired standing up.” Blume nodded and murmured thanks as she sat and placed her CD and poster beside her. “I’m Marella, but you can call me Ella if you’d like,” the girl said and put her hand out. Blume shook it and introduced herself. She concluded that Marella was very nice, and decided to make conversation to pass the time.

“Your name is very unusual. How’d you get it?” Blume waited for an answer.

“Well, since I have green eyes my parents were reminded of the Irish Sea. My grandpa’s Irish, and at the hospital he suggested my name because it means ‘shining sea’ in that language. Did you know my name could have been Miriam? It sounds so…old people-ish.” Blume laughed at the last sentence.

“Well, then it’s a good thing they didn’t name you that. You better have thanked your grandpa when you found that out,” she responded. “Who’s your favorite band member? Mine’s Bill because he has the cutest personality, and he’s absolutely gorgeous.”

“I like Bill too, but Tom is my favorite. He’s just so extremely hot. Have you seen the way he plays with that lip ring? And what about the way he looks at you in pictures?” Ella fanned herself. “It’s like he’s undressing you with his eyes!” The two girls giggled.

“Not to be rude or anything, but with how much skin you’re showing he won’t have to do much.” Ella blushed and smiled, replying, “That might have been why I picked out this outfit. He said he likes curves, so why not show him some?” For the first time in a while, Blume delightfully discovered that it was surprisingly easy to talk to someone, and that someone was Ella. Once they felt comfortable round each other they exchanged phone numbers and emails.

The rest of the wait went on like this, just talking, until they were almost at the front of the line. At that time it really dawned upon them that they were about to meet, and get close enough to touch, the members of their favorite band. The teens were almost screaming, biting their fists and clutching their posters and CDs in the other hand so hard their knuckles were white and their nails would break if they tightened their grip just the tiniest bit. Blume saw a spike of black hair move above other people’s heads, and almost screamed.

“I see Bill’s hair!” she squealed to Ella. The line moved ahead, and now the only thing separating the band from them was about 7 people. She could now see the rest of the band, and her heart was thudding in her chest. Ella was right in front of Blume, and was getting Bill to autograph her merchandise. Once Bill did that she moved left to get Gustav to sign it, and Blume was right in front of Bill. She shakily placed her poster and CD on the table. His sharpie ran out of ink, so he grabbed another one and checked if it worked. Once he was sure it did, he did his cute hamburger nod, and signed his name quickly.

Oh no! Bill was done. She had to say something to him before he told her to move, but Blume was so star struck that she could barely speak. She managed to utter, “Thanks so much, Bill.” The lead singer smiled and looked up at her, and then his facial expression turned to what looked like shock. Blume was now scared. Did he think she was ugly? Was there a bat in the cave? This was probably the only time she’d ever see him, and he probably thought she was repulsive!

She swallowed what seemed to be a huge lump in her throat. She got her items and was about to move them, but a manicured hand swiftly landed on hers gently. The nails were long and black with French tips. Blume’s eyes widened and traveled up the arm to stare back at the person who had those hands. Bill’s heavily made-up eyes looked back intensely at hers.

A/N:
Le gasp, contact! Because I didn’t mention it in the writing, Ella turned 18 two months ago. If you didn’t get the hamburger nod thing, click this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnHMEwNTua8
What’d you guys think? Bill is FINALLY in the story like I promised, and there’s more of him soon (most likely next chapter, and if not it’s the next after that). This’ll also most likely have a side pairing, but I won’t tell you which one now. That doesn’t mean you can’t guess, though. Please comment with your opinion, this is the longest (and most interesting, in my opinion) chapter so far!

Should I continue this here? It seems that people don't care for my fanfic anymore and I wanted to know if I should keep writing it or not on this forum. I have a reader on the official US TH fan website, but it appears that I have lost mine on this. Should I keep writing and posting it here and there, or just continue it on that website?

Chapter 6

Blume felt very bare as Bill was searching her eyes, scarcely aware that the rest of the people in sight were looking at her and the angel in front of her. His hand was now holding hers, and he looked at her like it was a reunion with a lover.

“What’s your name?” It took her a moment to realize that it was Bill talking to her. Oh crap, what was her name? It started with a B, right? She looked to Ella for help. Her friend mouthed it, and gratefulness filled her.

“Blume Abendroth.” After saying that Blume’s hand was suddenly cold, and she realized that Bill had let go of it. She passed her poster and CD left of the table to Georg, then Gustav, and lastly Tom. She felt the eyes of the band and other fans on her back as she walked out of the store and Ella joined her, eyes wide. Did that really happen? Was THE Bill Kaulitz actually looking at her, and holding her hand? She had to have been daydreaming.

“Blume, that was incredible! Did you see the way he looked at you? He seemed surprised, like he’s seen you before or something. Have you met him before, like in Germany or something? Didn’t you say you were born in Germany? Maybe you don’t remember him? Oh, who am I kidding? Meeting Bill Kaulitz is not exactly the thing you forget! Unless you were really little. I didn’t remember anything until I was about 3. Hey, are you okay?” Ella stopped jabbering when she noticed that her new friend was walking in a dazed silently. “Hello? Blume you alright?” She waved her hand in front of the teen's face.

“Bill Kaulitz touched me, and asked me what my name was.” Blume stared silently at the ground for a moment. Suddenly a scream echoed through the street, and people turned around to see a tall teenage girl jumping up and down and flailing her arms around. “Bill Kaulitz touched me, and asked me what my name was!” she repeated, yelling this time.

Ella waited until Blume was out of energy and panting to talk to her.

“I know! I can’t believe it either. Well, I can because I was there. He had no reason not to do that, though. You’re gorgeous! I can actually see you two together.” Blume tried to see Bill holding her waist in pictures of the band and on the red carpet at awards. Then she imagined hearing Tokio Hotel fans’ opinions of her and Bill. The first daydream was much better.

Once the stunned feeling wore off a little, it sank in that she needed to get home or her parents might freak out.

“Do you have a ride home?” Blume asked, looking around for her car and then walking to it.

“Nope. My parents dropped me off when they were going to work this morning. I can take the bus.”

“Want me to drive you? If I saw someone holding a picnic blanket and poster I’d think the person was a little weird. You can toss the blanket in the back.” Ella smiled and put it in the trunk, and sat in the passenger seat with her signed CD and poster in her lap.

When Blume was driving Ella was looking at the signatures she got. As she opened her CD case a white piece of paper fell out. Curiously, she let her hands pick it up. Blume heard a scream next to her and she swerved the car quickly, trying to get to the emergency lane immediately yet safely. She barely missed the truck behind with a few inches, earning her a rude hand gesture from the driver when he drove past her.

“What? What happened?” Ella showed her the paper. Blume looked over at the writing.

Hey, gorgeous. We’re staying in the Embassy Suites closest to here. My room’s 241, but you can call me first.

Chapter 7
With the band…

By that time Tokio Hotel had signed things for every fan that came to their signing, and were getting ready to leave. Bill was still thinking about what had happened with Blume. He couldn’t believe it was really her!

Flashback:

Bill walked alongside his mom on the path to the park. Tom had raced ahead a few minutes before, most likely because he had seen, in his words, “an older babe” that was dragged along, forced to look out for her little sister while the mom relaxed with a book or something. He hoped that he wouldn’t see the stupid perverted kid that Tom had met at preschool a week ago. If it weren’t for him his brother wouldn’t be like this.

“Bill, hold my hand. There might be people biking around here, and they might not see you in time.” Simone held out her hand, but her son moved away.

“Mom, I’m almost 5. I can’t be seen holding my mom’s hand. People will think that I’m a baby! Besides, if that happens I’ll just use my powers. I’m going to be a wizard when I grow up, you know.” His mom laughed at this.

“Yes, but you’ll get your powers when you’re grown up, and that’s years away. I’ve heard of cases where wizards try to use their powers too early, and end up as dust because they’re too inexperienced.” Bill grumbled and walked faster.

When they finally reached the city park, he spotted a little brown-haired and green-eyed girl in the sand box. She was trying to use a mold to form a castle from the sand, with little success. Every time she lifted the mold the sand fell into a dull pile. What drew Bill’s attention to her was that she kept trying, even after about 6 times. However, after the 7th she stood up and kicked the yellow grains, yelling that they were dumb.

“You’re not doing it right.” The little girl turned around and watched him dig a hole until the sand got darker and moister and scoop out the material. He then stuffed it into the hollow orange plastic castle and placed it on the ground. He lifted it and stood back, admiring how he made the sediment stay in place. He turned to the girl. “You have to have wet sand because it’ll stick together. If it’s dry it’ll just fall.” She looked at the difference between the two castles, deciding she would go with his approach and take the wet sand.

“Thanks. Wanna build the fish together?” Bill nodded and they got to work digging more wet sand out. After the fish came a cat, then a dog, and then a bear. Time passed quickly while they were having fun. Simone shouted for her son that they needed to go already, and he responded that he’d be there.

“I like these. Do you have any monkeys at home?” Bill asked. “They’re my favorite animal.”

“Yeah, but it’s in my toy box back home. I’ll bring it tomorrow if you come back,” Blume said.

“I’ll be here. I am almost every day. Before I leave, we should tell each other our names. What if there’s a kid here that looks like us but we don’t know if they are?”

“Yeah, that’d be weird. I’m Blume Abendroth.”

“I’m Bill—“

“BILL! We need to go and pick up your dad. You don’t want him to be stuck at work with his mean boss, do you?” The boy rolled his eyes at his mom and waved to his newfound friend.

“Bye! Don’t forget to bring the monkey tomorrow.” They had met at that park almost every day for over 2 months, and he was unusually giddy those months. His mom and her dad would talk while they were at the park, watching over their kids. Whatever they discussed he didn’t know, but he heard his mom gushing to his dad that he had his very first crush, right in front of him, and didn’t mind so he didn’t correct them. But unbeknownst to him it’d end very soon.

One day they were staying on the swings, dragging their feet around in the sand. Usually Blume loved seeing how mad the kids got that they were on the swings without actually using them, but this day was different. Her heard was drooped and she barely spoke. At first Bill had thought that it was a girl thing, but then realized that in the 2 months that he’d known her she never been like this.

Finally, he asked, “What’s wrong?” She stayed still. He was about to repeat his question, but Blume replied before he could.

“Bill, I’m moving.” She looked at him for signs of surprise, but there were none.

“So what? Moving to another house doesn’t mean we can’t play together.” Blume dropped her head again.

“Bill, I am moving to another house, but it isn’t around here. It’s not in Germany, or Europe. It’s in America. My daddy got a job there. He says it is “unrefisable”, or something like that. I’m never going to see you again. This is the last time.”

Bill looked over at Blume’s dad and his mom. It wasn’t the usual smile. Their expressions were very unhappy ones. It was true.

They tried to make that day together the best ever, but it was hard, knowing that there wasn’t going to be another. Thankfully, they had a lot more time because their parents knew how hard it must be. Everything they did was the last. The last time they made sand shapes, the last hug. It seemed that it was the only word in his vocabulary. The last look was the hardest. Right before Blume got in the car she met his eyes with a heartbroken expression and waved slowly, and that’s when Bill felt the hot tears. Simone leaned down and wrapped her arms around his chest and did her best to comfort her crying son.

He had been devastated. His first and best friend, other than Tom, was gone. He cried for days and refused to get out of bed for everything besides eating and bathroom breaks. He stopped going to the park because he was afraid of bringing on more pain.

Bill’s whole family did whatever they could to make him feel better. Tom was even willing to stay up and listen to his twin’s talking. It took him months until he was able to go that park.

--End Flashback—
But that didn’t matter anymore, because it wasn’t the last time he saw her. Bill had seen, spoken to, and even held hands with the very girl he thought he’s never see again. It took over 13 years, but he had found Blume. He had found his lost friend.

A/N:
AAAH! TOKIO HOTEL IS PLANNING THE TOUR DATES FOR THEIR RETURN TO THE US IN AUGUST!!!!!!!!!! Okay, everything they said in this was in German. It was Blume’s first language because she was about 3 ½ here and she could speak it well. Then, when her family moved to America, she started learning English from, and can still speak some German, just not as fluently as English. I’m sorry for the wait. More to come.

Chapter 8
With the band…

Now the band was getting driven to their hotel, and Tom was bragging about how he was going to “hook up with a hot red-head” he saw at the signing. But Bill wasn’t paying much attention, because he was thinking about a different girl.

Tom realized that for the first time, Bill wasn’t calling him a pig, or giving a lecture that all girls should be treated like humans and should be cherished. Instead he was gazing out the window, chewing on his thumbnail like he always did every time he was either stressed, nervous, or deep in thought.

“Hey, Bill! What’s wrong? Thinking about that girl you fell in love with at the signing?” Said person looked over. He sighed and dropped his hand from his mouth.

“Tom, it wasn’t just a girl. Do you remember when we were about 5 we’d always go to the park and I’d play with my friend there?”

“Oh, you mean your girlfriend,” he half-teased.

“Right. Remember how she said we’d never see each other again because she was moving to America?” Tom nodded slowly. Where was this going?

“Yeah, you wouldn’t get out of bed for months, and barely went to the park without breaking down.” Bill swallowed the memory of his pain.

“Well, I think that was her today. She said her name was Blume Abendroth, and if I remember correctly that was my friend’s name too.” He reached his hand in his pants pocket (which wasn’t the easiest task, due to his tight pants) and took out his cell phone.

The others watched and listened as Bill greeted his mom and said Blume’s name on speaker, asking if she remembered it. He bit his lip during the silence that followed, and closed and unclosed his fist.

“Blume Abendroth? That name seems familiar somehow. Was she one of Tom’s girlfriends? Wait, no. Yours, right? Oh, now I remember! Blume Abendroth was your little playmate at the park back in Germany when you were little. Such a shame she moved away, you two were so cute together.”

Bill’s throat was dry now so it was hard to speak, but he managed to thank his mom, tell her he loved her, and hung up. He looked at the others.

“It’s her.”

In Blume’s car…

The two girls stared at the paper. Did Tom actually write it? Did THE Tom Kaulitz really give his phone and room numbers to Ella?

“Wait, when did he put that in your CD case? Wouldn’t you have seen it?” She looked up in thought, and then said that he might have slipped it in when everyone was looking at Blume and Bill. “Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s call him!”

A/N:

Chapter 9

The red-head looked up in surprise. “You mean I should actually call him?”

“Well, duh! Tom’s your favorite, and he liked you enough to give you his number and hotel room. He even thinks you’re gorgeous! I say you go to him; I’ll drive you if you’d like. Do you have to be home now?” Ella shook her head, and started to protest. “Oh, stop complaining. You know you want him, and apparently he does too because he wouldn’t have given you his personal info otherwise. Come on, it’s in your hand. Call him!”

Ella shook her head again.

“I can’t! I’ve always dreamed of this, but now that the opportunity is right here I don’t know what to say!” Blume gave an exasperated sigh and asked if she would want to go to his hotel room first, and her friend paled.

“Oh, my goodness! Ella, if you miss this chance you’ll regret it for probably the rest of your life. We’re going to the hotel.” Before Ella could protest she slammed her foot on the pedal and went back on the road, driving on the lane that would lead to Embassy Suites.

It wasn’t long before she was pulling up in the parking lot of the hotel. She basically had to drag Ella out of the car because she wouldn’t go willingly. It was protests all through the lobby, the elevator, and the halls.

“No, Blume! I don’t know what to say!” They were getting closer, and Tom’s room was just 11 numbers down. A large figure the girls made out as Saki was standing in the doorway with his arms crossed, watching them approach.

Blume gave him what she hoped was a friendly smile, and waved at Saki. Wow, that was stupid. Why did she do that? Luckily Saki thought this was funny and returned the gestures to both of the girls with an amused expression.

“Hi, um, Saki. My friend here found a note that Tom slipped in her CD case at the signing, saying that this was his hotel room.”

“Names?”

“Well, I’m Blume Abendroth and this is Marella Giordano.” He held up a hand and opened the door, revealing Georg, Gustav and Tom chatting in German on a couch. Where was Bill? They looked up from their conversation when their bodyguard said something to them, and Tom smiled widely at Ella.

“Hey! I knew you’d come.” He spoke in English this time to her, and patted the spot next to him. A female hand gently pushed her in the right direction, and she sat down next to him.

“You can come too, you know.” Georg grinned at Blume.

“Oh, I don’t know. I think my mom would freak out. She’s under a lot of stress with no job and all, and I’ve promised that I’d help more around the house to take some of that stress off. You know, because stress can be pretty…stressful.” Dang it, she sounded like a complete idiot! She should just get out before she embarrassed herself even more. “Well, um, have fun and everything. I’ll just be on my way n—oof!”

She turned around to leave, but someone bumped into her, and ended up knocking her to the floor with her on under them. She heard a gasp and an accented voice followed. “I’m so sorry! That was completely my fault! Here, let me help you.” The weight formerly on her was no longer there, and she felt soft hands grabbing hers and trying to keep her steady. “Are you okay?”

Once she recovered from the shock of the blow and lost the slight dizziness, she lifted her head a little and her brown and white-streaked hair fell from her face, revealing it to the one that fell on her. Hearing another gasp and her name from the person in front of her, she looked up and saw who it was. For the second time that day, she saw Bill.

Yay, new reader! I'm working on the next chapter now. Today was a good writing day for me because I went on my patio and listened to my iPod (which, by the way, has Tokio Hotel songs) and after about an hour and a half I came up with 6 ideas for this, all of which I'm going to use. I'm just worried I'm going to use them all too early and end this soon because of that. Now worries, though, I'll do my best to pace this right.

Chapter 10

This time, though, his hair was free of hairspray and was completely straight, covered with a cap. Blume had an urge to touch it, just to see if it was as soft as it looked, but restrained herself to save further embarrassment.

“Blume,” he breathed. She never thought that her name would come out of his mouth. She was glad it did, though, because it sounded wonderful, especially with his accent. Saki said something in German, and from what she remembered she was pretty sure he had asked if they wanted alone time. “Ja. Danke, Saki.” Bill replied as the door was shut and they were left alone in the hallway.

“Come.” He led her by the hand up the stairs at the end of the hall, and on top of the roof of the hotel. His hand let go of hers and he walked to the railing. He stood with his back against it and held on to it lightly. A small smile played on his lips and he signaled for her to stand next to him. Once she obeyed he turned around and faced the city, crossing his arms over the railing.

“Blume, do you remember me?” Bill said softly. Blume looked over at him, confused.

“Of course. You’re Bill Kaulitz, the lead singer of the amazing band Tokio Hotel. We met for the first time today at the signing.” He sighed and faced her.

“Okay, how about I put it this way. Do you remember when you were 3, when you always went to the park and met with a little boy?” Her head snapped to his side and she backed away a step.

“How did you know about that?”

“So you remember that part. What about the name of the sandy-haired, brown-eyed boy?” He took a step closer and looked at her eyes, letting her see the color of his. She sucked in a breath and stepped closer also.

“Bill?”

Sorry for the shorty. It seemed like a good place to end it. Have you guys seen the new TH TV? It’s hilarious! I love Bill’s laugh and the way they were tormenting Georg when he was sleeping. Lol at Bill licking the peanut and throwing it down his shirt! Btw, I discovered Cinema Bizarre and they’re awesome! I seriously recommend listening to them! Chapter 11

“So, what’s your name?” Ella looked at Tom, who had his arm around her and was smirking at her while playing with his lip ring. She could tell he did this often, because Georg and Gustav rolled their eyes. So what, though? She didn’t necessarily want to do what he was obviously intending to, just to know him.

“Marella, but I prefer that people just call me Ella.” Tom nodded and said her name thoughtfully, testing how it sounded.

“So, do you guys know why Bill acted the way he did when he saw Blume?” The guys exchanged a look and Tom then nodded.

“She and Bill used to meet up every day at the park in Germany when they were young. They were best friends, and she was Bill’s first crush. But she had to move away here to America, and he realized that it was her at the signing.” Ella stayed quiet for a second.

“Whoa.”

“Yeah. So, you want to come backstage for the concert tomorrow?”

----------------------

Blume flew into Bill’s arms, hugging him tightly and he did the same. Her nails dug into his shoulder and she was almost shaking with the strength she used to hold him with. Her neck felt damp and she realized Bill was tearing, then that she was also crying herself. Ella’s words replayed in Blume’s head.

“Have you met him before, like in Germany or something? Didn’t you say you were born in Germany? Maybe you don’t remember him? Oh, who am I kidding? Meeting Bill Kaulitz is not exactly the thing you forget! Unless you were really little. I didn’t remember anything until I was about 3.” She had forgotten Bill Kaulitz because she was really little, about 3 1/2 years old. What Ella said was exactly what happened.

“You lied to me,” he murmured into her neck, voice cracking. Blume lifted her head and looked disbelievingly at him.

“What?” His head raised and put his hands on her shoulders, looking down at her.

“You lied to me,” he repeated. “You said we’d never see each other again. It’s the biggest lie ever told to me.” Was he mad? Did he wish it was true? “And I’m glad it was. Because it’s you. It’s really you.” He hugged her again and they stayed like that for what could have been hours, but it still wasn’t enough.

A/N:
Whoo! I finally got this up *happy Bill clap*. I’m sorry, I had no inspiration to write the beginning and didn’t get it until today. R&R please. Tokio Hotel is literally a few votes behind on Portrait Magazine, but Twilight is ahead. Vote for TH NOW! http://www.portraitmagazine.net/

Chapter 12

Blume was forced to pull away from Bill when her cell phone vibrated in her pocket, then rung with the beginning of ‘Scream’. The caller ID said it was her mom, and if she didn’t pick this up she’d be greeted with a not-so-pleasant talk. She apologized before flipping it open.

Bill watched as she talked to someone in English, saying that she’ll be home soon and she’s sorry she wasn’t there now. She ended the call and hung up, then put her cell phone back in her front pocket of her Bermuda shorts.

“You have to go?” Blume bit her lip and nodded, looking at her pink flip flops. “Now?” She looked up at him this time.

“I have to cook lunch because my mom’s out. My dad’s coming home to eat and I don’t want to leave him starving. Plus, my mom would freak out. She’s busy trying to find a job and everything.” Bill nodded in understanding and looked saddened that she had to leave so early. He led her by the hand back to the room, walking slowly to spend at least a little more time with her.

“That took a while. How come you look all messed up? Did you guys do each other or something? I didn’t know you had it in you, Bill,” Tom said when they went back, makeup messed up leaking down their faces (especially Bill's).Blume’s looked in astonishment at him with her cheeks turning a light pink. Thankfully it wasn’t too noticeable when she blushed. Unfortunately Bill was completely different. His face turned red, along with his neck and ears. Gustav and Georg chuckled at the blushing teens, and Ella tried to hide her giggle behind her hand, increasing the embarrassment. Bill cleared his throat and let go of her hand.

“Ella, I have to go home. Do you want a ride to your house?” Said person looked around at the gorgeous guys around her, and smiled at them.

“No thanks, I’m fine here. I’ll just take the bus when I’m going back.”

“Okay, then. I’ll go. Bye, guys.” Blume waved to everyone before trying to leave the room, but Bill grabbed her elbow gently to keep her from going.

“When can I see you again? I can get a VIP pass for you and Ella at the concert tomorrow.” She thought for a moment before responding.

“You know what? I’ll ask my family if they’d be fine with you coming over. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having company, since it’d been dead boring in the house for ever. I’ll call you.” She took a few steps out, before returning.

“I guess it’d be a lot easier to call you if I had a number.” Bill went in the room and searched for a piece of paper. When he didn’t find one, he wrote his number on a page in a magazine on a counter, ripped out the piece, and gave it to her.

Blume looked at it and a surprised expression appeared on her face, then a giggle escaped her lips. She held it up for him to see. On the back of what he wrote was part of a picture of Kendra, the Playboy bunny, wearing an outfit that didn’t cover up much at all. Bill’s eyes widened and he modestly looked down, a huge blush forming on his face for the second time in a few minutes.

He ripped the scrap out of her hand quickly, and then handed it to Tom and looked at him with a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance. Tom glanced at it and looked up, shrugging his shoulders as if it was nothing and smirking. Bill rolled his eyes and walked back to his friend. She gave him her phone and he programmed his number into the phone book.

“I’ll walk you back to your car.” She waved to Georg, Gustav, Tom and Ella, and walked outside with Bill. They walked a little slower again to be in each other’s presences again. Bill stayed close to her and held her hand the on the way there. They took the back exit to avoid the screaming few screaming fan girls at the front (luckily there weren’t many because they just got to the hotel yesterday).

Once they got to the Honda Blume opened the door and hugged Bill again, saying goodbye. Then she got in her car and drove off, smiling as she saw him in her side mirror looking back at her, before putting her eyes on the road to her house.

A/N:

Chapter 13

Blume pulled her mom’s car into the garage and went into the house. Connor came by, eating a piece of pizza.

“How’d the signing go? You meet them?” Blume looked at him and nodded with a smile on her face.

“Connor, I did more than meet them all. I hung out with them after the signing. Oh, and I made a new friend.” He looked at her.

“You hung out with the band?”

“Yeah. That’s not even the best part, but I’ll tell you later. Would you mind if they and my friend came over today for food?” Her younger brother dropped his pizza in surprise.

“Tokio Hotel is coming here?!” You see, he wasn’t a huge fanboy that was completely in love with the band, but he did really like their music and think that their looks were cool.

“Yep, but I need to decide on something.” She walked over to the phone and picked it up, then went back to Connor. “I don’t think Mom and Dad would exactly like a band, made up of extremely cute German boys of age, I must add, in the house. And Ella too. So the question is, how do we convince them that it’s okay?”

The phone tapped against her chin as she wrinkled her nose in thought. After a minute the tapping stopped, and a smirk made its way to her lips.

“Blume, what are you going to do?” Instead of responding she dialed her mom’s cell number and waited for the other line to pick up.

“Hey, Mom. You know how I had this little boy to play with back in Germany when I was young? Well, I met him again at the signing today, and a new friend, Ella.” She stayed quiet while there was a faint buzzing as Judy talked. “Yeah, I’m absolutely sure it’s him. He even recognized me! Anyway, would you mind if he, Ella, his brother, and 2 of their friends came over for food and to catch up?” Silence, and then a squeal from Blume. “Thanks, mom!”

“I can’t believe you just lied to Mom!” Blume just smiled when she hung up the phone and looked at him.

“Actually, it was 100% true,” she whispered, and then climbed the stairs to her room. At the top of the stairs she turned around to tell Connor he’d better pick up the pizza from the floor and clean any stains, and frolicked to her room. This left her brother gawking at her, but he shook himself and got to work getting the tomato sauce out of the wooden floor.

Chapter 14

I took my phone out of a pocket and looked for Bill’s number in the phonebook. The name he put it under wasn’t something formal like Bill Kaulitz, but Billi. I smiled, vaguely remembering using that as a nickname for him when we were younger. It made me feel a little closer to him, because I remember a certain time Tom tried calling him that.

(Flashback)
We were playing together on the swings, and it was time for him to go.

“Billi! Mom and I are going. If you don’t get here soon we’re leaving without you,” Tom called out to us. Suddenly I heard a boy yelling at my side, and I realized that it was Bill.

“Don’t call me that!”

“Why are you mad at me? Your girlfriend calls you Billi all the time and you never say anything bad. Is it because she’s a girl?” I stood up and tilted my head to the side.

“You don’t want me to call you Billi anymore?” I asked him. He looked at me and flailed his arms.

“No, I don’t mind it if you do it. I just hate it when other people do.” His mom called out his name and he hugged me.

“Bye!” He and his mom waved at me before they disappeared from sight behind the bushes.
(End Flashback)

Connor came into my room when I finished the call with Bill, and leaned against the wall. I went to the drawers across my bed and opened the top one.

“Yes? Do you need something?” I asked while digging through my drawers for strips of post-it notes.

“So, this Ella friend you met…Is she hot?” Why is it that things like this are on every guy’s mind, basically 24/7? Well, never mind. I admit that I do think like this sometimes, too. Don’t judge me! It’s not like you’re unicorn pure!

I rolled my eyes at my brother’s question took out what I was looking for, then walked out, ruffling his hair as I did so.

“Sorry, bud, but she’s taken by Tom.” I heard him growl and he grumbled off to the bathroom. Connor hated when his hair was messed up more than fashionably necessary, so he’d probably gone to tidy it up.

I walked downstairs and flipped through Mom’s cookbook, looking for recipes that wouldn’t be too hard for me to make, but will feed a lot of mouths. Every time I found one I stuck a post-it in the page and looked for more. After several minutes of flipping I gathered the supplied I’d need, like different size spoons, measuring cups, bowls, pans, and all of that good stuff.

“You need help?” My brother came by, eating popcorn.

“You want to help me cook?” Having him want to cook wasn’t exactly an everyday thing. I mean, we help each other and everything, but I never heard of him cooking anything.

“Well, I heard Steph talking about how fun cooking was with her friends, and that it’s hot when a guy can do it.” He looked down and smiled a little. Steph was a girl he’d had his eye on since they became partners in science early in the school year. He never actually said it straight out, but it was pretty obvious with the way he acted at the mention of her name.

“Yeah, sure.” This act made a little more sibling bonding time. And although I liked it when my brother and I were getting along like this, I still couldn’t wait until the guests got here.

A/N:
This’ll be 1st person from now on. I have tickets for the show on August 19th! You guys know how Tom loves Nicole Sherzinger (sp?), and that TH is hosting TRL soon? When I Grow Up is a popular song and it was on the countdown, so wouldn’t it be awesome to see his reaction if that happened while they were hosting? Next chapter is more interesting.

Chapter 15
Gustav, Georg, Tom, Ella and I climbed out of the van, looking at our destination.

“Nice home,” I heard Georg say. In front of us was a beige two-story house with a couple of cement stairs led up to the front door. A garage that was big enough to hold 2 cars was connected to the house, and a large window partly showed movement inside the kitchen. It was not too big and nice looking, just an ordinary house that accommodated an ordinary family. But I liked it, mostly for that reason.

“Hey Bill, I bet it looks even better at night.” Tom winked and nudged me. I ignored his perverseness as the tires of the van squealed a little as the driver rode away, and I realized that the rest of the group was already walking up to the door. I quickly caught up and rang the doorbell, then waited to see Blume again.
----------------
My head snapped up as ding dong of the door bell rung through the house. They were here!

“Be there in a second!” I grabbed a towel and wiped my hands as well as I could in a hurry, running to the mirror next to the door. After making sure my hair wasn’t too messed up, I turned the knob.

I was aware that there were other people, but my eyes went straight to Bill. He was in front of everyone else, leaning against the door with a boyish, yet sexy, smile on his face. My God, how was it possible to be so beautiful? I understood why I didn’t recognize him before. He had the same brown eyes, but he did look different. He was taller, even more attractive, and had longer hair.

He and Tom had developed their own styles instead of dressing alike. Bill was wearing a skinny dark blue graphic tee and tight black jeans, and he still had his cap on. But despite how different he was now, he was the same Billi I knew years ago.

I was obviously staring because of what Tom said next.

“Hey, if you’re done undressing my brother with your eyes, would you mind letting us in? It’s kind of hot out here.” I could tell everyone was trying to stifle a laugh to be polite, but that didn’t make it any better. Okay Tom, I love you and all, but you need to get something else on your mind for at least 2 minutes in your life! I opened the door wider and stood to the side to let them come in.

“Hey guys. Well, here’s my house. There’s the living room, a bathroom’s over there, the bedrooms are upstairs, and here’s the kitchen.” I pointed out every place as I said it, and showed them my brother, chopping peppers. “This is my Connor, my brother.” He looked up from the peppers and smiled and waved.

“Hey. It’s awesome to see you guys. Your music is really cool.” He flipped his hair and looked at Ella. “It’s cool to see you, too.” Ella smiled and nodded in his direction.

“Connor and I have to finish cooking, and it’ll most likely take a while. Make yourselves comfortable: watch TV, go on the computer, do whatever you want. But Tom and Ella, if you sleep with each other, you better clean it up.” Everybody other than the ones I was addressing laughed, and it felt nice to have a little payback on Tom.

Not amused, Tom looked at the ground and muttered, “She won’t if wanted to, anyway.”

“Nice comeback.” I smiled at Gustav’s compliment and went into the kitchen.

“So I guess your record is broken, Tomi. You can’t get some from everyone.” Georg gave Ella a high-five, earning him a glare. Bill appeared at my side, and Ella came after him.

“Can we help you? It’ll obviously take a while to cook for us, plus your family.” I nodded.

“Yeah, you can. Thanks, by the way. Connor, you don’t have to keep going if you don’t want to. Unless you’re just doing it for Steph.” He shrugged and moved his head so that his hair covered most of his face---probably because he was blushing---and walked away.

“So, who’s Steph?” I didn’t see him, but I was sure Tom smirked at Connor as he asked that.

“What? Oh, no one. J-just a girl that was my science partner this year, and, um, she’s kind of pretty and I sort of….like her and stuff.” The last part he mumbled, but I’m sure Tom could still hear it.

“Come on, buddy. Let me teach you the real secrets to getting a girl.” Tom put his arm around Connor’s shoulder and led him into the living room.

I assigned Ella the job of making the mixture for the brownies, and Bill the job of chopping the rest of the peppers. As they started doing that, I got out the rice and a cup from the cupboard. I filled a medium-sized pot with a few cups of water from the sink, and put it on the stove. Then the rice went in, and I glanced to my side to check how Bill and Ella were doing.

Ella was fine, beating and mixing the eggs quickly and with little effort. But Bill’s attempt to help out made me laugh.

He was holding the knife awkwardly, cutting very slowly and carefully. His other hand was delicately holding the pepper with his thumb and forefinger, his brow furrowed and a look aof pure concentration on his face. He made it look like he was a newbie doctor doing his first operation! He stood as far away from the ‘operation’ as his arms would let him. With every chop he blinked, and then sighed, as if he was happy he still had every finger he was born with.

Bill looked over at me when I laughed, and I hid my mouth with my hand to try to stop any more guffaws from leaving it.

“I’m—hehe—sorry, you just make it look---haha—like an—ha—operation—hehe!” Bill smiled crookedly and shrugged. Once I got laughed everything out, I talked again "Here, how about you and Ella switch.”

He put down the knife and switched places with Ella, this time working a lot smoother. I went back to preparing more food as they did their new tasks.
---------------
I walked past Blume with the bowl to get to the mix next to her, and it would have gone smoothly, but she decided to turn around at the exact moment I would have passed her. This surprised me, so I stumbled over my own feet, my hands tipping the bowl forward. This was followed by a silence from everyone in the kitchen and living room, and when I looked up I knew why.

There was Blume, dark, streaked hair covered in the light and slimy mixture of egg and milk, the brownie mix not yet added. And from the look of it, she wasn’t too happy about it either.

A/N:
Okay, this chapter changed POVs. I hope you didn’t get lost in the change! In case you did, the lines (------------) separate them. Sorry for the wait, but was it worth it?

I think there's a way for her to be not as mad. You have to wait until the next chapter to find out what it is. Hopefully it won't take 5 days to get up, but it might knowing me. My older sister and I walk around wherewe live now sometimes, and I'm actually going out for events with my family and best friend. That might be part of the delay, but I'll still try to write is ASAP

Chapter 16
I put my hand to my mouth with wide eyes. Did that seriously just happen? It couldn’t have; I wasn’t that clumsy. But it must have, because I heard footsteps and saw everyone coming from the living room.

Okay, maybe it did happen. But if someone was looking out for me today, maybe it was just a dream. Yeah that was it. I took a nap before we went to her house, and this was all just a dream….right?

I chucked nervously.

“Euh, oops?” I raised my shoulders and arms, smiling sheepishly. She wiped some of the batter from her face and eyes, but her expression didn’t change. I decided I’d better do something to make her un-mad at me. What would make it better?

Sometimes when Tom was talking on his cell phone, there was a sort of buzzing on the other line that I could hear. He would always say things like “I’m so sorry, babe. I know. You’re completely right. I was a total pig. I’m sorry.” These words were spoken between several noises that made it sound like he was actually listening to her. I later figured out that it was angry yelling from the girl on the other end of the line, and he was trying to calm girls down just so they could hook up again. Tom always said that agreeing with the girl would make everything better, but I don’t think it’d work in this case.

“I’m so sorry, Blume. It was an accident—a very, very unfortunate accident. What can I do for you to forgive me?” I towel on the counter and kneeled down so she could take it, and sat on the floor in front of her. She grabbed the towel and wiped off the rest of the substance.

“Well,” she grabbed the towel and wiped off the rest of the substance, “there is one thing.” Yes! She wouldn’t be mad at me anymore, and all I had to do was one thing!

“What can I do?”

“It’s not exactly what you can do, but what you can let me do.” What did that mean? “Close your eyes.” I raised a brow, before obeying. Was it what I thought it was going to be? There was a quiet shuffling in the room, and then it stopped after she removed my cap. “Okay, open them.”

I opened my eyes, but what I saw wasn’t what I expected. Blume was on her knees at eye level in front of me, a carton of milk and an egg in her hands. I was confused at first, but then I saw the somewhat malicious smile on her face. Oh...schiesse…

Chapter 17
Blume raised the hand with the milk, and I shut my eyes, waiting for her to smash it in my face. Luckily, she didn’t smash it. She poured it over my head. I don’t exactly see how that was better, but at least it didn’t hurt. The milk seeped through my shirt and down my neck.

It stopped for a second, and I thought I was safe. Wrong. I gasped as I felt her pull on the waistband of my jeans in the front. What was she doing?! My question was answered as I felt cold milk dripping on my front and going down my legs. If you’ve never had that happen to you, you should be thanking someone up there. Let me tell you—not pleasant. At all.

I opened my eyes when there was no longer new liquid pouring on me, but closed them one more when I saw Blume’s arm rise again. She pulled my shirt up and I hear a crunch as she smacked the egg against my stomach (painfully too, I must add) and rubbed it in, then put my shirt down again. Of course; I was so busy thinking about the cold in my pants I forgot about the egg.

I opened my eyes slowly, partly to make sure she hadn’t acquired another food weapon, and partly so that the egg wouldn’t get in them on its way down to my face and neck. She didn’t, just wiped her egg-y hands in my hair, put my hat on my head, and patted it gently like you would a dog.

Then, in a sickeningly sweet voice, “Sorry, Billi. It was an accident.” At this Tom roared with laughter, his shoulders shaking as he struggled to remain standing. My face must have been fire-engine red, because it felt like it was on fire.

I surveyed the room. Georg was wearing the close-mouthed smile he used in photo shoots a lot. Gustav stood chuckling with his arms crossed. Ella gaped wide-eyed, but it was obvious she found it funny. Connor looked at us with a “What the heck? I feel a little uncomfortable now” expression while shuffling his feet. Blume obviously enjoyed doing that, hence the look of pride on her face.

“Bill, your girlfriend just owned you, big time!” Tom managed to say between chortles. Okay, he was irritating me. How would I make him shut up? I walked to the fridge and got an egg. I tossed it up and down in my hand, before hurling it at his head. Yep, that shut him up, and ****** him off.

He stomped over to the fridge and grabbed orange juice. I knew what he was planning, so I stepped back to where everyone was.

“Guys, let’s not,” Ella said while getting in front of me, talking to Tom’s back. “Imagine how much trou—” Tom turned around and splashed what was supposed to be me, but he didn’t notice that Ella had gotten in front of me, in time. So instead of getting revenge on me, Ella and ended up with an orange face, and Gustav, Georg, Connor and I also got sprayed on. Tom’s face was horrified. Well, there goes any chance of him scoring tonight.

A moment of silence followed in which everyone looked around, fuming that food and juice was thrown at them. No one spoke, but the message was clear. It was on.

We scrambled to the fridge and grabbed whatever we could, throwing almost blindly in the excitement. Everything was tossed around, raw and not; peppers, eggs, bacon, juice, rice, noodles. Any food a regular household would have was chucked.

I saw a pan next to the stove, both shielding myself and deflecting blows. Others saw what I was doing and followed my example. Some also took pan and pot tops as protection if they didn’t see anymore pans. This only made it even more enjoyable because we had to use our creativity to strike our ‘enemies’.

Not long after, people started forming teams to get more people. From what I could see, it was Blume and Georg, Ella and Gustav, and Connor and I. Tom was left alone, probably because he was the one that started this.

When we had run out of food, Blume and Georg had opened the freezer and taken out the compartment that stored the ice cubes. Once they had gone on a terrorizing spree with the ice, us others had access to them as well. We had them stuffed down our pants and shirts, and had to dance around like maniacs to get them out of our clothing.

After a while, we were all left standing without ammo. There was silence again as we surveyed the damage we’d done. There was too much food everywhere to even describe what a mess the kitchen was. To put it shortly, it looked like someone had set off a bomb in the fridge!

A sudden giggle sounded from Blume.

“You guys all look ridiculous!” Looking around, I saw what she said was right. Once solid-colored clothes were now multi-colored with various foods, hair was tangled and had bits of chunks I really didn’t want to know what, faces were crusted with dried whatever, and it looked like some had been deprived of the toilet because of the huge water stains the ice left behind. And despite how gross we all looked, we felt amazing.

“That was the most fun I’ve ever had.” Laughter and talking of agreement to Gustav’s comment filled the room. But I realized something that wouldn’t be so fun.

“So, we have 2 problems on our hands.” They looked at me, curious. “How are we going to explain this, and how are we going to clean it up?” And as if on cue, a female voice yelled from the doorway.

“What happened to my kitchen?!” Our heads turned there and I saw a woman and man that Connor and Blume resembled very much: their parents. Once again, oh…schiesse…

A/N:
That was kind of fun to write :D. So, how many of you guessed right about what was going to happen with the tight pants and milk?

Chapter 18
There was a moment where everyone looked at each other, checking if anyone knew how to explain the mess.

“My kitchen! It’s ruined, it’s destroyed! It looks like the zoo was let loose and ran straight through here! Is this some sort of punishment? Did I forget to mail money to Red Cross this month?” Mrs. Abendroth proceeded to freak out and examine the room, whimpering. “The damage will cost a fortune to repair, and I still need a job! Oh no, this is terrible.”

Her husband walked behind her and rubbed her shoulders.

“Judy, sweetheart, it’s alright. You’re already stressed enough. Just rest and let me take care of this. Okay?” Mrs. Abendroth nodded.

“Okay. Thanks, John.” She disappeared out the door and we were left with her husband. I’d never formally met him before. The closest I’ve gotten to that was seeing him when he picked up Blume and her mom, and I’m pretty sure that it was the same for him.

Instead of panicking like his wife, he calmly looked around, putting his hands in the pockets of the white medical uniform he was wearing.

“So, how did you manage to wreck a whole room in the span of 20 minutes?” He turned to us. “By the way, I don’t think we’ve met. I’m John.”

“Dad, this is Georg, Gustav, Ella, Tom and Bill.” Her dad nodded.

“You seem familiar. I’d shake your hands, but you’re covered in…well, I don’t really want to know.” He chuckled lightly, and then looked at me. “So this is Bill. You look different,” he inspected me. “Not that it’s a bad thing. It’s great when people have their own distinct style. It’s nice to meet you.”

“You too, sir.” He shook his head.

“You make me sound like a teacher. I’m your friend’s dad. Call me John.” I nodded. “Tell me, how did you and Blume manage to find each other, years later?”

Blume looked at me for approval, and answered when I nodded at her.

“Uh, Dad, you know the signing I went to today for the band? Well, they sort of are the band.” She smiled sheepishly. John looked surprised, but stayed calm.

“Are we in huge trouble? Am I grounded for life?” Blume did puppy eyes, just in case the answer was yes.

“No, you’re not.” A sigh of relief swept through the room. “But you do have to clean everything up. When your mom comes back, it better be spotless. Or, at least on its way to being so. Have fun cleaning.” With that he walked out, leaving us with a huge task I didn’t exactly know how to do.

Tom and I weren’t exactly house workers. We didn’t know how to cook (except for our sauce), and our mom always did the cleaning where we lived. On tour the others would attempt to get the bus cleaner. But I guess we had to learn, since we had that new apartment for ourselves.

Blume got cleaning supplies, a cleanser with 409 written on it, a fancy-looking green mop, a vacuum, and paper towels, everything you would need for a tough job. I didn’t think it’d be enough for one of these proportions, but oh well. It’s a start.

“You know, I really like your dad.” Ella told Blume as we began cleaning. “Mine would take away my privileges for a month. Not to mention his head would explode.” The girls giggled together.

I really hoped this wouldn’t take as long as I looked. At least there were 7 of us. With that ‘pleasant’ thought in my mind, I grabbed the green mop and started cleaning the floor.

Hey, guys. Thanks for the great reviews. I'm having a little trouble writing the next chapter, so I thought I'd use inspiration I got recently for another story. It's different than this one, and it's not a fanfiction. But you can read it if you feel deprived of my writing. Plus, I think it's better than this one anyway. Anyway, read it if you'd like. It's called 'Avara'. And yes, that is my DeviantART account.

Chapter 19
“It really was an accident, you know,” I said to Blume.

“Yeah, yeah. You’re just lucky your jeans are tight. I would have gotten in more milk.” But even as she said this I heard the smile in her voice, and I knew everything was fine between us.

Even with all of us cleaning it still took hours. It was a long and grueling process, but we finally got it done. Of course it wasn’t squeaky clean, but good enough that we wouldn’t get yelled at to get back to working.

“Well, that solves one problem. We’re still food-y.”

“That’s fine. You have a shower, right?” Tom pulled Ella close by the waist and smirked, making her blush and all of us groan.

“Control your hormones. We have 2, but they’re upstairs. You are not staining my house; we have carpeted floor up there! You’d have to clean it and my parents would never let you back in.”

“I saw a hose out front.” I was pretty sure Georg was only half-joking. I saw everyone’s eyes light up.

“Let’s do it!” Blume rushed out the door and we followed her. A few people I thought we her neighbors were on their lawns and others walked by the house, looking at us like we were aliens. I didn’t blame them because I guess we sort of did look like that.

Blume and Ella were unrolling the long green hose and twisting the knob. The tube was motionless for a few seconds, but when the water came out it did so with enough force to knock it out of their hands. The hose wriggled around like a snake and splashed everything. The girls screamed in excitement and put their hands in front of their faces, and the rest of us did the same without screaming, though it obviously did nothing to protect us.

Gustav managed to tame it. I thought I was safe, but no. He put his thumb against the hole at the end to increase the spraying power, and went around terrorizing the rest of us with it. Tom took it from him and sprayed us, but focused on Ella and her shirt. What a Tom thing to do: get a pretty girl’s shirt wet so he could see her chest through it.

The amount of neighbors doubled as they stared at us, gawking at the crazy teens playing with a hose. Well they were probably jealous, anyway. They had to stand out in the heat, sweating, while we had 100x their fun getting soaked and staying cool with the freezing water. This was so much better than the pool!

Tom’s fun was ruined when Blume fought him to the ground and struggled for the hose. I couldn’t help but clench my fists and growl at the action. Blume was mine, not his!

I froze when I realized what I had just thought. Did I just call her mine? A fountain of water suddenly came at me and interrupted my thinking. The water got in my nose and I sputtered and choked. The water stopped immediately and a hand was on my shoulder.

“Bill, I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” Blume looked up at me with concerned eyes. Her eyes were really beautiful….I saw the hose in the hand that wasn’t on my shoulder and I grabbed it from her. I smiled at her shocked expression, and then we were wrestling for it on the ground. Sometimes she grabbed it and got my hair and neck; sometimes I had it and splashed her. We managed to get sort of tangled up and were too busy trying to detach ourselves to notice that Georg had stolen our shared weapon until he splattered us.

The rest of the water fight went on for way after we got ourselves clean. Our hands were prune-like and I saw that some of our lips were blue.

“So, what do we do now that we’re wet? We can’t go back in there dripping.” A silence rippled through our group as we stood staring at each other as if to say “now what?” Wait, where was Connor? I looked around and chuckled.

He was sprawled out against the grass of his house’s lawn like a star, the sun hitting him. He looked at us.

“You guys have to try this. Really relaxing and warm.” I joined him and put my hands behind my head.

“Coming?” I smiled at the others, and they obeyed, most positioning themselves like Connor. We were all like a happy family; one happy… soaking wet starfish family.

Chapter 20
“I think I can smell myself burning. Am I crispy?” We’d been out in the sun for who knows how long, but it really was relaxing. I sat up and supported myself with my elbows.

“Nope, but my clothes are crisp,” I answered to Ella. It was a little uncomfortable, too. They had dried and hardened on my body, and it felt itchy and scratchy whenever I moved. I stood up and hoped I didn’t get a rash from them, coming to a conclusion: never lay out to dry for more than an hour. “We should get up. We’ll get sunburned.”

The others followed me, but it was too late. Everyone had sunburns, all of them completely noticeable. I started laughing, doubling over.

“I wouldn’t laugh, Bill. You should see your face.” I stopped cold and ran into the house to look into the mirror. “Yeah, that’s what I thought,” I heard Georg say. My face was red, especially my nose and cheeks. I could only imagine how ridiculous we’d look at the concert.

“How are we going to do the concert looking like tomatoes? I’m not even sure that cover-up would take away all of the redness.” I touched my cheek, “Ow.”

Blume walked into the kitchen and came back with some of that green aloe stuff. Each of us took it and passed it around after applying it to our faces. Sighs were heard as the goopy substance cooled our skin.

Blume walked over to the railing and looked up, probably checking for her parents. She looked back at me.

“I’ll go talk to my mom and dad.” Her footsteps got lighter as she disappeared up the stairs. I turned my back and joined the others that were going into the living room, collapsing on the couch and resting my sore muscles and back.
-------------------------
I walked to my parents’ room and looked inside the room. My mom was reading and relaxing on the bed. Good, maybe this meant she wouldn’t go psycho again.

“The kitchen’s clean,” I called out gently, hoping she wouldn’t bite my head off.

Mom nodded without looking up from her book. It looked like a romance novel because of the slightly racy cover.

“Mom, are you mad? I’m really sorry for messing up the kitchen. Bill was trying to help me cook and spilled the brownie batter on me, and I kind of got revenge. It then took off as a food fight. But I swear, I never meant to mess up the house! It almost looks like nothing even happened in there.”

She sighed and put her novel face-down on the table beside her bed.

“It’s just the stress and everything. You said that the kitchen’s clean?” I nodded. “Then I’m not mad.” I felt a bunch better when she said this. I remembered my dad was supposed to be here but wasn’t.

“Where’s Dad?”

“Office downstairs.” We had a room downstairs that acted like a library, computer room, and an office that my dad practically owned. The rest of my family could go there when we wanted to, but it was sort of an unsaid thing that we let Dad have the room most of the time.

“So Mom, you never got to meet them. Want to do that now?”
-------------------------
“Guys, I can’t feel my fingers. They’re numb from that dumb Magic Eraser.” Ella held her trembling hands up and tried to flex them. I saw them twitch a little, and she let out a groan. “Nevermind. I can feel pain.”

“Would you like some ice for that?” Ha, all of the ice melted in our pants and shirts a while ago. Blume and Mrs. Abendroth stood next to the couch. I started to sit up, but I realized then just how sore I was. Mrs. Abendroth put up her hand to signal me to stop.

“You can stay where you are. But I’d like to know, which one of you is Blume’s playmate?” She scanned the band. I raised my hand slowly.

I could tell she was surprised when her eyes stopped on me. She looked me up and down.

“Wow, Bill. You look…different. And taller.” Crap. I hoped she didn’t think I was a total freak like most parents would! She put her hand out. “Welcome back to our lives, Bill.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Abendroth.” I felt ecstatic as I shook her hand and she smiled at me then got introduced to everyone else.

“…and this is Tom, Bill’s twin. You remember him, right?”

“I wouldn’t have guessed. You look very different from one another.” Tom smiled.

“Good.” He and I laughed. I caught a glimpse the clock.

“Oh, wow. We really should get back. It’s already 6:00!” I said as I got up and urged the band to do so too.

Tom put an arm around Ella and told her we’d drop her off at her house.
----------------------------
The others said their goodbyes and left out the door, getting in the van. Bill stayed back and looked at us.

“Listen, we have a concert tomorrow. Do you want to come? We can pick you up on our way to sound check and everything, and get you guys backstage passes for after the show. Tom’s already invited Ella and she’s coming. What do you say?”

I smiled. While he was saying this he was fiddling with his manicured nails, and I found this very adorable. I looked to my brother quickly.

“Sounds great, Bill.” His smile seemed to have lit up the whole house.

“Cool. We’ll be by at 10 tomorrow morning.” He turned to leave but hesitated, and then gave me a hug. “Bye,” he whispered. He kissed my cheek and left for he the van, giving a wave. After that the van and everyone in it drove away.

“You’re so lovey-dovey.” Connor rolled his eyes and walked away, leaving me to feel giddy.

It’s getting harder and more forceful to make a chapter. Plus I just started school and have 8 subjects since I’m taking German. You’ve probably already made that conclusion since I barely get these up and when I do there’s a huge break inbetween. I’m so sorry for that, but I’m just not into this like I was at the beginning. Hopefully I’ll get over the WB soon but I really don’t know when or if I will. Today is the first day of a 3-day weekend (BILL AND TOM'S 19TH BIRTHDAY ON MONDAY!), so I will try to do it. I'll try to get over it and write, but I don't want to say I will and get someone's hopes up.

I know I make a lot of these and I'm really sorry for that.

Sorry!

Chapter 21
Tom’s POV
The sun was no longer shining brightly when we got back to the hotel after dropping off Ella (luckily her parents weren’t home yet when they did so I got to say goodbye the right way). It wasn’t night yet, but that didn’t stop us from collapsing on the beds in our hotel rooms to rest our muscles. I know Gustav was sleeping because there was no light or sound at all coming from his room. The same went for Georg’s room, but he was probably lying in bed admiring a picture of me. I never actually got any proof of that, but I’m pretty sure it’s what he does.

No matter how much I wanted to, I couldn’t get to sleep. Every time I closed my eyes I saw how happy Bill and Blume were together. They obviously had a serious connection. They’d known each other for a couple months when they were little, now they meet again years later and act like they’ve been boyfriend and girlfriend for years. I never believed in it, but maybe Bill and Blume were living proof. Maybe there was such a thing as true love. That’s when I realized that for the first time ever, I was actually jealous of Bill.

Bill’s POV
I couldn’t sleep, not then. I was too excited and thinking about everything that had happened today. I had just been reunited with my long-lost best friend from so many years ago. It sounded cheesy and cliché, but I felt like a piece of me that I didn’t even know was gone had come back to me. Strangely enough, I felt like I knew Blume for years, not just those few months when we were young.

While thinking, I felt something wasn’t exactly right. I suspected it was the twin thing, so I decided to get out of bed and walked to Tom’s room. I lightly knocked on his door a few times. It was just loud enough for him to hear if he was still awake. I waited for a minute or two in silence. Then I knocked again, hoping he was still up. Nothing. I leaned against the door and pressed my ear to it. I thought he was sleeping, but at the same time the feeling I had told me he wasn’t.

I turned the knob and slowly. Luckily his door wasn’t locked from the inside so I could put my head through the door. “Tom?” I listened for a response but heard none. Maybe it was just a bad dream he was having. I shrugged and closed his door carefully to not make noise.

I had to get to sleep. The faster I did it the faster I’d get to see Blume again. Smiling, I rolled to my side and finally drifted off to sleep.

A/N: I got this up! It’s lame but I promised myself I would write this over the weekend, even if I had to do it by force. It was different writing in Tom’s POV. I hope it doesn’t seem like I was trashing Georg or anything.

Chapter 22
Bill’s POV
Georg came in my room with his hands in his pockets while I was putting my black “Faith” cap on my straight black hair. I glanced at him and then stroked my brush a few times through my hair to remove any tangles in front of the mirror above the room’s dresser to see what I was doing. I tried not to move too much because my body was still sore from cleaning up Blume’s kitchen.

“Tom’s not up yet,” he said bluntly. I whipped my body around to look at him.

“What?! We have to leave soon!”

“He refuses to get up. I’ve been banging on his door and yelling at him to get up for 5 minutes straight. He’s not coming soon.” Georg’s eyes followed me with a raised eyebrow as I slammed my brush on the dresser and stormed out of the room, my hands clenched at my sides.

“Tom! Tom, get up!” I smashed my fists repeatedly against my brother’s door until they were sending painful signals through my body. I stopped and pressed my ear to the door. An annoyed, tired groan came from the other side. “Tom!” The door opened a after I hit my palm once on the wood, and there he stood. His snarl and the bags under his eyes suggested that he got absolutely no sleep that night.

“What?” Tom spat out. I recoiled; this wasn’t like him. I tried to collect myself.

“We’re already late. Don’t you want us to pick up Ella as well as Blume?” His eyes narrowed.

“Ella’s house is closer. We won’t be late if we only pick her up.” I jumped back when the door slammed in my face abruptly.

“Well what the hell’s that supposed to mean?!” I yelled at the door. “Tom? TOM! If you’re not dressed and out here in 1 minute, I’ll get you myself! Do you hear me?”

“Whatever!” I stepped back and kicked the door as hard as I could. Silence. No shuffling, no unzipping of suitcases, nothing. I growled and kicked again. Then again, and punched the door, and then slammed my shoulder against it. It hurt, but in a way it released some anger. I turned it a sort of workout. Kick, punch, kick, punch, slam. Punch, kick, slam, slam.

The manager of the hotel rushed to us in his fancy suit.

“What is going on? I am getting noise complaints from people all the way downstairs!” His irritation was reflected with his English accent.

Saki held his arm out in front of me before I could make another move as a signal for me to stop, and knocked on the door firmly.

Tom calmly walked out, fully dressed in baggy jeans and a white shirt, sunglasses on and his bag over his shoulder. He silently pushed—more like shoved---through us and walked to the elevator at the end of the hall. We watched as he pushed the down button and waited for it the door to open with his back to us. Once it was available he got in the elevator, pushed a button and leaned back with his arms supporting him on the rail, head held high. Then the doors closed and he disappeared, what I needed.

After a minute of people staring at me, I crossed my arms and closed my eyes, breathing a deep sigh.

“1, 2, 3, 4--” I counted out loud to myself as walked through the hall and pushed the down button. It wasn’t something I did before, but this time I needed it. …“5, 6, 7, 8--”
A breath escaped my lips. I didn’t care that the Gustav, Georg and Saki were probably looking at me weirdly, I needed to relax. God, I couldn’t wait to see Blume.

A/N: If you want to see Tom’s (sexy) ****** face, I'll try to find the link tomorrow.
I realize that I tend to stretch out only a little bit of the story into like 4 or 5 chapters, but it’s just how this story turned out with my writing. Writing in different POVs helps me, so this is just how I write. And yes, this is a lame-o chapter. I’ll try to put another one up soon, though even I’m not sure how good that declaration is.

A/N: IMPORTANT: I’m putting MBB on hiatus so I can have time to think and write everything out and make it the best it can be. I mean, I do have a lot of things planned, but you know how getting there can be hard? So for now this is kind of on hiatus (because maybe I’ll post some things during the break, basically like I’ve been doing now, but this time I’m keeping your hopes up). I feel like making up some fancy freakish word for it, so I shall call it a "halfatus". Ewe, it sounds like a step of pregnancy in a mutation! Okay, it'll be a "hiatalf", pronounced hai-ai-tuff. It sounds a lot better.

Tell me whatever you want to happen, suggestions, and what I can do to improve the story. I’ll take everything into consideration so I can make you people happy Am I making Blume Mary-Sue-ish? It kind of seems to me like I am. ****. Okay, I’m going to take full advantage of the break and ask for your opinion on anything and everything MBB. I want to make this the best it can be, so fire away!

Chapter 23
Bill’s POV
I didn’t look at Tom once we got in the car; I didn’t need him to ruin my day even more. It helped that I couldn’t see him with Gustav sitting between us; probably intentionally to make sure nothing else happened between us.

The ride to Ella’s house was awkward and quiet, with Gustav and Georg sometimes making lame efforts to lighten the mood. It didn’t really work. But I attempted to forget Tom’s diva fit this morning and kept telling myself I’d see Blume.

The van we got that day was unusual but convenient, with the normal driver’s and passenger’s seat in the front, a row of seats at the back meant for four people and seatbelts to accompany them, and the same arrangement was against the back of the driver’s and passenger’s seat, both rows facing each other.

Traffic slowed us down even more, with the adults driving to their jobs and teens on their way to have fun with other friends. Ella also had a “hair malfunction”. According to her she slept in a strange way and her hair had been matted down and stood out at an awkward angle. We had to wait for her to get it wet and blow dry it until it was just right. I didn’t mind, of course. I completely understood her problem. But I was still anxious because one, I didn’t want to be late for the sound check and look like stuck-up rock stars, and two, I wanted to see Blume!

While waiting I was always either tapping my nails on the sides of the van, beating my foot against the carpeted floor, chewing on my thumb nail before realizing that biting nails is and unsanitary and one of the things I hate, and/or looking up hopefully at the front door. Tom was also inside the house, waiting for Ella. I think he just wanted to get away from me, seeing that he didn’t acknowledge my presence at all on the ride there.

“Stop. It’s annoying when you do that.” I looked over at Georg.

“Do what?” He gave me a look. I breathed out deeply and kept my foot on the floor. He cleared his throat loudly, staring pointedly at my still-tapping nails. I stopped and settled my hand in my lap. An awkward silence followed for a few minutes, and my hand absentmindedly reached up to play with the chain around my neck. I was barely aware that the sound of my nails against the chain was the only noise in the car for a few seconds as I stared out the window again.

“**** IT, STOP DOING THAT!” Saki looked back from the passenger seat with a raised eyebrow to see what caused Georg’s outburst.

Before I could say anything the door opened and Ella and Tom walked in seated themselves.

“Hey, guys!” Ella waved.

Gustav said a quiet, “Hi.”

“Hey.”

The street began passing us as the driver got us on the path to Blume’s house. If it wouldn’t have been rude to Ella I swear I was about to take off my seatbelt, yell, “FINALLY!” and do a “weird, over-energetic dance” that made me look “crazy” and “horny beyond belief”, quoting Tom.

“Hi, Ella!” I said and smiled at her, completely ignoring the fact that Tom was right next to her and quite obviously avoiding me, “Your hair looks great to me.” She smiled at me and grabbed a piece of her hair to examine it.

“Thanks, but you should have seen it when you guys arrived. I looked like I just came out of a monsoon!”

I chuckled. “Believe me, I understand completely.”

“It takes Bill forever just to get his hair straight. It looks like many dead rats on his head when he wakes up,” Gustav said from his seat, looking up from his cap and grinning crookedly. I frowned and crossed my arms, leaning back.

“At least I have hair,” I muttered.
----

I rang the doorbell and listened to the ding-dong ring inside her house, putting my cold hand against my neck while I waited in the hopes that it’d cool me down at least a bit from the California heat already accumulating in the air. **** sun.

Connor walked out and nodded at me and said hey, and then made his way to the van. Blume appeared at the door and said hi, smiling and then standing on the tips of her toes to hug me.

“Sorry we’re late.”

“It’s alright, I woke up late anyway.” She stuck her head in and yelled bye to her mom, locked the door and then shoved her keys in a front pocket of her shorts.

I led her out with an arm around her shoulders and heard her greet everyone and Saki, which I found amusing. I cast a thankful look to Gustav when he moved to the other row with Gustav and Connor of seats to make room for Blume. This seating arrangement made me as far away from Tom as possible, with Ella and Blume between us.

“Bill, what happened to your hands?” Blume looked down at them after a bit with a furrowed brow. Ella leaned in to see what she meant.

“Oh, I didn’t notice that. I, uh, hurt them.” Blume took my hands in hers and examined them, making sure to handle them gently.

“Well obviously, but how? It looks like you’ve just stopped bleeding!” I looked down and sure enough, I did have cuts along with bruises a few bruises.

“I—uh—the hotel door wasn’t opening.” Wow that was lame, but at least it wasn’t a lie.

“Must have been a tough door.”

“Yeah.” I noticed I sounded far away because I couldn’t help but notice what nice hands she had: soft; cuticles pushed back; long fingers; long nails painted a light, sparkling, transparent, natural pink color.

“Why thank you, I find your hands quite beautiful too” Blume giggled. I averted my gaze to her beaming face, her hair pulled up in a ponytail. Oh ****, did I just say that out loud?

“Thanks.” I grinned at her, slightly embarrassed that I said my thoughts and was completely unaware of it. What else would I say unknowingly?

“You might want to put some antiseptic on those cuts. Do you have any?” I shook my head lightly. “Does it hurt?” I nodded. She brought my hands up to her lips and kissed them. “Und jetzt?” she asked softly. I shook my head softly, looking into her eyes.

“Nein.” And it was true; her lips on my skin sent a pleasant tingle through my body and caused me to almost forget there was ever any pain. I brought her against me by snaking my arm around her waist. “Dankeshon.”

“Bitte.”

I could tell that the others in the car stopped paying attention to us before because I was acutely aware of their voices buzzing around the van. But out of the corner of my eye I saw Tom staring at Blume. When I turned to look at him for the first time since the scene at the hotel, his eyes met mine and gave me a death glare that put my heart in my throat. How and why had he changed his attitude so quickly, and at me and Blume too?

A/N: Consider this a Thanksgiving present :). I just wanted to let you guys know that the hiatalf was a good idea and I got a lot of ideas and even began writing some of the parts. And this doesn’t mean the hiatalf is over. Remember the meaning of my made-up hiatalf is a break, but the story can still occasionally be updated, and I’ll try to do that.

Chapter 24

Bill’s POV

“Too young to live a lie
Look into my eyes”

I let my voice drop. Some screamed in the would-be silence. To my side Tom strummed quietly, intently. The look he gave me before still chilled my spine. He had yet to look at me without something hateful in his eyes.

I took a breath and the crowd screamed the next words with me.

“Ready, set, go
It’s time to run
The sky is changing
We are one
Together we can make it while the world is crashing down”

My adrenaline was up. The energy I had felt like it could keep me going through a marathon. The floor got a little crazier. It was something I admired the fans for, the terrible crowds they endured to see us live.

I snuck a glance at the side of the stage, seeing Blume and Ella giggling and dancing around behind the curtain with their VIP passes flying around. Blume tossed her hair out of her face when she saw me and smiled. Hmm. I made eye contact with Blume before deciding it was time to bring more life to the concert. Gustav looked up at me with a raised eyebrow when I climbed on the front drum and faced the crowd, lifting my head high to sing the next line.

“Don’t you turn around”

The guitar riffs came on and I leaped, landing in a crouch at the front of the stage. The fans screamed. I smiled for a second, then put on a rocker face and stood up, leaning against Georg and repeating the line. I ran to the front and head-banged. My hair shot around and stuck to my face when I did a signature dance, throwing my legs around and raising my arm that wasn’t holding the mic to encourage the crowd. It worked. They screamed louder than before and got louder at the end of our performance when I did a final toss of my leg.

I looked over to the side of the stage and saw Blume smiling wider and laughing, waving. I grinned at her and at the crowd.

“Thank you so much! You were a great audience, we had fun! We will be playing here next week. Catch us then!”

--------After the show-------
“Way to spazz, Bill.”

“Oh, I think I got whiplash doing that.” I collapsed on the couch, leaning back and closing my eyes. I tried rolling my neck, but grimaced at the pain.

“Well it was entertaining and got the crowd going,” I heard Blume say with a smile in her voice. "And it took the attention away from what's visible of your sunburn." Her hands slid up my shoulders and massaged. I sighed. I couldn’t remember the last time I got a massage or just how great it felt.

“Great job, everyone,” Jost told us. “I haven’t heard screaming that loud in weeks.”

“Did it live up to expectations?”

“Sure! Bill, Youtube will be filled with your spontaneous dance by midnight,” Ella cut in.

I chuckled.

“Thanks. How long until we go back to the hotel?”

“Ten minutes. Get ready”

“Hm. We have to get you guys back,” I told the girls.

“I don’t want to, Billi.”

“Your parents will think I let the crowd eat you. Get your stuff.” I heard a grumble and the sensation disappeared. “Ey, ey!” I looked upside down behind me, pouting.

“You told me to get my stuff!”

“It’s nothing you can’t do in a minute. My neck hurts still. Will you help?” I did a puppy face and smiled when her hands placed themselves on the center of my pain. “Thanks.”

“Yeah, yeah. You’re returning the favor after this.”

A/N: Hey, guys! Finally an update. It's been years, I know. Sorry about that

By the way, I saw some other fic with a girl named Blume and they mention that her name means "flower". Now, I don't know if I should think something of it, but I do anyway. It doesn't seem like a coincidence to me :/

Chapter 25

Bill’s POV

“I don’t know, Ella. I don’t think I wear red that well,” Blume said hesitantly.

“Come on! Just try it on. It’ll take a second.”

Their dressing rooms were next to mine, letting me hear everything they were saying.

“Eh…I don’t know.”

“Come on, Blume. It’s just a shirt. What’s wrong, babe?” Ella asked. “You’ve been awkward since we came to the mall. Ooh, that shirt looks really good on you.”

“Ja, Blume. What’s wrong?” I asked. Clothing rustled lightly in the rooms.

“It’s just that I haven’t shopped with other people for a while. My school thinks I have some anti-social disease, remember?” Ah, right. She told us about this a few days ago. I don’t know why not talking a lot to other people would provoke a rumor like that.

“Well you have us now, and Gustav and Georg and kind of Jost. He likes you too,” I told her.

“Aww. I love you guys. I’d give you a hug but I’m half naked.” I smiled. I wouldn’t mind, Blume!

“So why didn’t you mention Tom?” she asked.

“He’s been a ***** lately--avoiding us, mostly me.”

Ella giggled. “Bietch.”

“Hey, I’m German!”

“Sorry, Bill. I love your accent, really.”

“So anyway,” Blume cut in, “that tension with Tom isn’t just me?”

“Ja. I have no idea what’s wrong with him. He just woke up one day all ******.”

“Did I do something?” she questioned.

“No, no, no, you couldn’t have. This isn’t like Tom. I think stress is getting to him. That’s what the vacation is for.” I felt a little like I was lying, but I couldn’t think of anything Blume could have done.

“Now that you mention it, Tom does seem kind of…angry. He hasn’t done anything dangerous around me, but he seems tense and not happy. Is he usually like he is in interviews—happy and silly?” Oh right, Ella was his interest now.

“Usually,” I told her.

It got quieter. “Is it because he’s dropped me?” I heard the hurt in her voice.

“I don’t think so, Ella. He wouldn’t do that. No guy in his right mind would do that to you.” Yet, Tom wasn’t in his right mind. He’d blocked me and our connection for the past week. I didn’t like it. I wanted my brother back.

“Thanks, Bill. I don’t know why you’ve been single for 3 years.”

What the ****? “Sheiße. Wie kann ich probieren das an?” Who the **** made these pants?

“Huh?”

“These pants, they are—I don’t even know.” I stared at the black and red checkered pants I held, trying to figure out how to put them on through the chains rips and zippers. Maybe I’d have to remove a few if I bought them. I slipped my legs through the pants and frowned. They were too big and wide at the hips.

“Well you don’t have to buy them,” Ella suggested. “Are they too small?”

“Please, too small for Bill is size negative 2. I saw those pants and they’re long enough but seem kind of wide for you.” I laughed.

“I admit I’m skinny, but not that skinny, Blume.” I checked the tag. “Oh. Size 4.”

“No wonder.”

“…Female Junior’s.”

Ella laughed. “I’m going to pay. Meet me at the front of the store.”

“Did you say 4? Give me those!” I tossed the pants into the Blume’s dressing room and heard her laugh. “Man, it’s nice to have a boyfriend that I can shop with!”

Wait, what? I froze with my shirt in hand. “Boyfriend?” I jumped when she popped up after my question with her arms and head resting on the divider.

“Yeah. Do you mind if I call you that?” The way she tilted her head and batted her eyelashes made her look innocent and sweet. She glanced down at my naked chest and grinned. “Nice bod.”

I made a show of leaning against the divider and crossed my arms, putting on a model face. “Ich weiss.”

She looked confused and had an eyebrow raised. “Do you shave?”

I shrugged. “I don’t like body hair.”

“Heh. How European. So do you mind me calling you my boyfriend?”

I shook my head. “Not at all, as long as you don’t mind me calling you my girlfriend.”

She stuck out her hand. “Deal.” I grabbed her hand and hers reached out to feel my bicep briefly before going back to changing. “And I expected Billi to be the scrawny kid from my childhood. Are you done?”

“Almost.”

I pulled my shirt over my head and got my bag.

“And by the way, Bill,” Blume said. She crawled under the divider and stood up beside me, striking a pose. “The pants fit great.” Dayum. They sure did…

Bill’s POV

------------------KISS FM Radio Station----------------

“So guys, I know you’re asked this a lot, but too many of your fans e-mailed our website and told me to: Are you still single?” some radio host named Ryan Seacrest asked.

“Well I am completely single right now. Gustav, I’m not sure. I saw some girl coming out of his hotel room a few days ago,” Georg laughed.

Seacrest turned to Tom. “Tom, what about you? I hear you have more bunnies than Hef.”

“Well I don’t know, but it does come close. At the moment I don’t have a girlfriend, but I do have a girl.” Tom looked past me on the other side and winked and kissed the air in Ella’s direction.

“Hoho, you got your girl here? Nice, man. I see you two together. Bill? What about you?”

“Well I have to be honest to the fans. Yes, I do have a girlfriend right now. We actually used to play on the playground back in Germany when I was almost 5. She had to move away after a few months, and we met each other again recently at a signing.”

“Aww sorry, ladies listening, which I’m guessing is 90% of your fan base. Ha. So you’re 18 now? That means you’ve been reunited by coincidence after 13 years. That’s kind of amazing.”

“It is, but I don’t believe it’s coincidence. The thing is, though, while I am telling you guys, I ask that you please don’t try to bring her into the public eye. Yes she’s my girlfriend, but that part of being famous can really suck and I’d hate to make her go through that. She’s a great girl and doesn’t deserve that.” I smiled at Blume outside the window of the radio room.

“Hear that, ladies? No trashing or stalking Bill’s girlfriend! You can catch Tokio Hotel performing at 8:00 tonight. Check our website for more details. Well thanks for coming in on such short notice, guys.”

“Thanks for having us.”

-----------------------The Concert--------------------

“Bill, dump your girlfriend and have me!”, “I’m better than her, Bill!” and “I deserve Bill more!” were some of the signs and things screamed out at me. Luckily, there weren’t that many and other people yelled out things like “You deserve it!” and “Finally!” and “Shut up, ******! He loves her!” (at which everyone laughed, cheered and clapped [I chuckled and thanked the girl shouting it]). They didn’t seem to care much about Tom mentioning Ella. It was probably because he was known for only having a girl for a night, three at most.

The performance was good in general. The fans had high energy and most were very supportive. They chanted for a while after we ended and we even played three encores. That’s pretty awesome, right? So why was the show just good? Once during a song I leaned my shoulder on him and sang part of By Your Side to him, hoping he’d lighten up at least a little. He kept his head down and away from seeing distance of me. When I was in the middle of a verse, he suddenly stuck out his foot and kicked me hard in the leg. I was caught by surprise and tripped, my voice faltering for the rest of the verse. I got up as quickly as I could and tried to continue on as if nothing had happened. I knew the fans saw it, and I knew they realized something was wrong between us. But that was the last song. I just had to get through that and it’d be over.

Backstage after the concert Tom was the quickest to get his bag and went to leave.

“What was that about?” I demanded of him. He completely ignored me and put his sunglasses on, setting a relaxed pace to waddle to the stage exit, where we’d leave out the other end of the stage. “I could have fallen off the stage!” He still paid no attention. “And hurt a fan!” No response still. What a f***er. I ran after him, grabbing his shoulder and turning him to face me.

“Tom, why are you such an asshole lately?”

“Oh, an asshole? Really?”

“Yes! You randomly threw a ****** fit and since then it’s been nothing but PMS and death glares. I haven’t done anything, Blume hasn’t even done anything! What the **** is your problem?”

“What’s my problem? That girl is my problem. She just comes strutting in here and suddenly what, you’re in love? Spending all this time with her?”

“What are you talking about? That’s what all this is about?”

“She comes back to you 13 years after just leaving and expects us to all be best friends? Wearing shorts her *** falls out of. No one wants to see that!” Tom looked to Blume behind me. “F***ing *****!” I propelled my fist towards him and the next thing I knew Tom reeled back with blood running down his lip. I heard gasps and screams. My hand ached.

“Leave her out of this!” It was silent as Tom snarled and put a hand to his lip. It was silent as he slid his bag off to the floor and shoved my chest roughly. I shoved back. He threw a punch and a shock of pain went through my nose. More screams. I got pushed to the ground and tried dodging the next blows, but they all came quickly and with force I didn’t expect. I grunted as my back collided with the stage floor and part of Tom’s weight fell onto me.

“Bill!”

“Tom!”

First my nose, then my chest. I rolled over to put myself on top for get a better angle of Tom and punched his jaw. His hands reached up to try to get my stomach but I tightened it after his first try and softened the blows.

“Bill, stop it!” I felt delicate arms hugging me from behind to try to pull me up. “He’s your brother! He just called me a name, that’s it!”

“That’s it?!” I blindly hit what I could reach of Tom, still ****** that my own brother had the nerve to call my lovable girlfriend a ***** when she did absolutely nothing to deserve it.

“Tom, stop! Stop it! You’re both going to end up in the hospital!” Ella yelled.

“**** it, Bill! Someone help us! Saki!” Two pairs of rough hands belonging to Georg and Gustav managed to get me up and hold me back.

“Ugh, that’s where he punched me!” I groaned to Gustav, whose hand was just about imprinting my chest. When I looked up Saki was gripping Tom tightly and Tom looked like he’d pull a knife out if he could. That look scared me more than before. But something that shocked just as much was what I did to him. I just repeatedly punched my brother! My flesh, my blood, who I couldn’t live without. I made him bleed like that! I caused those bruises!

“We’re going to the hospital,” Saki said. “Who knows what you did to each other. Get their bags.”

“Billi,” Blume said softly. She raised her hands to take my face and examine the damage. “Oh gosh, why did you have to hit him? It was only name-calling.”

“Tom? Bill?!” The call came from the floor where the pit was. The girl that called us couldn’t have been more than 12. She looked confused, terrified. They all did. I just beat up my brother in front of our fans!

*****. I felt like I’d be sick.

“I’m sorry, guys,” I told the fans as we left. “I got out of control. I’m so sorry you had to see that.” Their frightened faces were still etched in mind as we left.

A/N: Not the best fight scene, but I got my point across:

"Your x-ray shows your nose isn’t broken. That’s good. Is your vision the same as before?” I swallowed and nodded, looking at my shoes. My shirt was off, letting the doctor see the damage. “How bad is the pain?” I lifted my shoulders. “Bill, I’m here to help you. I can’t do that if you won’t answer. You know that, right?” I nodded. “How’s your chest?”

I took a breath and winced, reaching a hand up to clutch my chest. “I feel a zap of pain when I breathe and it feels like I’ve been punched in my heart.”

“What about your stomach?”

“It’s not too bad. I could get ready for his fist after the first hit.”

“I see. Does anything feel broken?” I shook my head. “Alright. Though I can’t guarantee it, I think we can let you go today. I’ll be back later; I have to go see some other patients.” The middle-aged man turned away before putting a hand on my shoulder. “Remember to restrain yourself. You’re a good-looking young man with a lot going for you. Don’t ruin it with aggression.” He gently squeezed before walking out of the cold room and closing the door behind him.

Aggression. Through the corner of my eye I saw Blume sitting tensely upright in the chair on the right. Her hands clutched and fumbled with my discarded shirt, laying it over her legs to cover up what her shorts showed. In the silence she sighed, shifted upwards to stand up, and hesitantly sat down. She held the cloth tighter.

“Ich erschrecke dich.” Quiet. “You’re afraid of me now.” I saw she bit her lower lip.

I closed my eyes, groaning mentally. “You think I’m a monster.” I flinched when after shuffling I felt her hand traced the multicolored bruise on my stomach.

Bill, stop it!

He’s your brother!

Why did you have to hit him?

The young screams I heard right before my fist throbbed. The look of the girl’s face. The sob I heard when I was led out.

I beat up my brother.

Goosebumps enveloped my flesh. My stomach churned. I gripped the underside of the table hard, telling my body not to be sick.

Blume’s hands left my bruise and held my face, bringing it up to her eye level. “Bill?”

Breathing suddenly got harder. I’m a monster. “Bill, what’s wrong?” Bile rose in my throat. I swallowed profusely, hoping it would go away.

“I think I have to--” I put my hand around my throat. In just a moment I sprinted to the bathroom and was hugging the toilet and emptying my stomach. My hair was pulled back away from my face and a hand rubbed my back.

“Are you done?” Her voice was soft.

I nodded, groaning. Clean water flew in while I cleaned up in the sink and rinsed my mouth. The glimpse of myself I caught in the mirror made me look like one of the living dead. Multi-colored bruises, I was even paler than usual, I looked like I was about to pass out. “****.”

Slender arms curled gently around my torso from behind, and the grey-green eyes belonging to them met my eyes in the mirror. I knew the way she held me meant she was still by my side.

Nonetheless, I didn’t want to face Tom. Something in the back of my head was nagging at me that I needed to. I didn’t disagree. The connection we had was blocked somehow. It was the feeling I’ve only had once before, after the biggest—second-biggest now—fight we’d had, on tour. The block had to be broken down again.

I reached for Blume’s hand. She squeezed, a way of letting me know it would turn out fine. But what if that wasn’t true? What if…

What if it was different this time?

"Scandal between brothers! The Kaulitz brothers, that is. The Tokio Hotel members had just finished a concert in L.A. last night, when there was a dispute between the twins that started with yelling, about a girl, and soon turned into a very physical nightmare. We've managed to take hold of a video captured by an eye witness. Take a look."

I groaned. Blume grabbed my hand. I'd counted six channels so far that had reported it, each video a slightly different view, but all showing what had happened. In the past hour I'd gotten six different angles of me lashing out, the momentary silence that followed, and then the chaos.

A girl's face appeared on the screen. "I couldn't believe it!" Her arms hugged her sides, and a friend of hers had an arm around her shoulders and looked at the ground. "They've said before that they could fight pretty badly, but I never thought it'd be that bad or in front of a crowd!"

A female reporter nodded at their sides. "What happened that you can recall?"

"We were standing in line talking about the concert, and I saw something on stage out of the corner of my eye. It was Tom and Bill. I was about to scream, 'cause, you know, it's Bill and Tom. But they seemed angry. They started yelling and swearing, and I saw two girls backstage watching. I'd never seen them before. Then Bill punched Tom in the face, and Tom was ******. They pushed each other, and that's when the real fighting started.
"Like punching and throwing on the ground?" the reporter asked.

"Yes. It was horrible! Then the girls tried to get them to stop, and their guard and the other band members finally did."

"Do you know what caused the fight?"

"Tom was talking about a girl coming back to Bill. He insulted her, and then looked behind Bill and called her a *****. I was confused, but I realized he must have been talking about one of the girls backstage. She must have been important to Bill, because that's when he pushed Tom and told him to leave her out."

"Do you think it was a girlfriend?"

"It could be. Yeah. He said he had a girl earlier in a radio interview.

"I see." The girls nodded as the reporter looked into the camera and held the mic to her mouth. "We have word that the band is at an LA hospital, where our reporters are attempting to make contact with the band. Is this the fight that could end everything? Will Germany's biggest band separate due to sibling rivalry? Only time will tell. I'm--"

"'Scuse me?" The reporter's face went from serious to slightly annoyed.

"Yes?" Her voice showed irritation.

"Can we say something to the guys? Just in case they're watching?"

The woman turned to the camera guy with a raised brow. "Erm, alright. Make it quick." She nodded in the direction of the fans and rolled her eyes briefly before the camera zoomed in on the fans.

“Sometimes anger can make you do crazy things. But you’re still brothers. Don’t take that for granted! I’d give anything to have a twin.”

“We’ll forgive you, if you just please, please, please make up.” Puppy faces stared at me from the TV screen.

Blume shut off the TV when the anchor began to talk about the end of Tokio Hotel and the disappointment of fans everywhere.

“Thanks,” I mumbled.

“Are you going to take the advice?”

I sighed. “I would, but this isn’t right. Usually we’d make up half an hour later. And I still feel like there’s a wall between our minds. It would soften by now.” I ignored the loud commotion that sounded from the main hallway. “And now everyone knows about you. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t want to be seen with you, I just hate to put you through all of this. Paparazzi and news articles with fake rumors. I’m so sorry, Blume.” I looked in her eyes, holding her hands tightly. “This is all my fault, but I promise I’ll do everything to keep—”

A thunderous slam made up snap our heads in the direction of the door. Georg stood doubled over, panting. “Reporters!” he yelled, “everywhere! The hospital can’t hold back those **** vicious people. We have to go, now!”

I was already on my feet, grabbing my jacket off a rack and helping Blume into it.

“Put the hood up,” I told her as we speed-walked out of the room, pulling her along hard enough to tell her to hurry but not enough to hurt her or be aggressive. **** it, there was that word again.”

“We’re going out the back exit. Less reporters there,” Georg told us. “The others are already in the car, and the hospital knows we’re leaving.”

“Got it.”

“Tom’s in the back. Just hop in the car and ignore him. We don’t need more violence.” I would have growled if it wasn’t reasonable. Tobi waited for us at the door.

I slid my arm across Blume’s shoulders when we were close to the exit. “Nervous?” She nodded meekly. “It’s alright; I was at first, too. Try to hide your face, don’t talk to any reporters or paparazzi,” I waved Georg to hold her other side for more protection, “and don’t let go of us. We’ll be right here with you the whole time. Don’t worry, we’ll be in the van soon enough.” She looked at me with wide eyes. “Take a few deep breaths, and tell me when you’re ready.” I heard her do so shakily. “Ready?” She nodded briefly before whimpering and nuzzling her head into my chest. I stepped closer to her and kissed her cheek. “You’ll be alright. Come on, Tobi.” I pulled her hood down further, and nodded to Georg to tell him it was time to go.

It was what I expected. There were even more paparazzi, each producing continuous flashes from their cameras so that it was almost blinding in the night darkness even with Tobi blocking them off.

“Bill! Bill! What’s your girlfriend’s name?”

“Georg! Are you into her, too?”

“Bill! Is she the cause of the fight?”

“Miss! How does it feel to be Bill Kaulitz’s girlfriend?”

“How did you meet?”

“Bill, how does it feel to know that your brother hates you now?”

“Are you still a band?”

“Come on, honey! Show us your face! Don’t be shy!” I panicked when the same reporter reached out to grab her hood and pull it down. Tobi and I were too late in ripping his arm away. The questions doubled and grew louder, cameras shoved in our faces and more flashes making spots flash in front of my eyes before Georg and I rushed to pull it up again and increased our pace to almost running the remainder of the way to the van.

“**** it!” I yelled after Tobi shut the door.

“They’ll have pictures up tomorrow, won’t they?” Blume asked, looking at me.

“More like within the next half-hour.” I glared at Georg.

“I’m really sorry, Blume. It’s not always that crazy. And now I’m not sure about dropping you off at your own house; some will follow us and would make your address probably public.”

Blume groaned and threw her head in her lap. “Oh, god,” I managed to make out, “now I can’t get home, and my parents will never let me see you again.”

“Driver, take us to the hotel, please.”

“You got it, boys.” The middle-aged man started the car to get us away from the psychotic camera-holders outside.

“You can stay with us tonight at the hotel,” I told Blume. A loud growl came from the back. Tom. As if I didn’t need more to deal with. “It’s no problem with me or the guys,” I said louder, staring straight at him. Even without the light I could see I busted his lip. Heh. Serves him right. “Do you mind?” I asked the guys, still louder than before and glaring at Tom.

“Yep.”

“No problem.”

Tom said nothing. Instead he turned his head away and snarled at the floor. I noticed Ella sat next to him and put her hand on his chest, pleading him with her eyes to control himself. I felt that the van arrangement should have had another row of seats in the middle. This way we were forced to be all too close to each other. I was given the passenger’s seat at the front on the way to the hospital to help ease out tension, the now Tobi-occupied seat couldn’t save the tension.

“Thanks, guys.” Blume took out her cell phone and dialed her parents. They already knew about the fight, as she’d called them before in the hospital. I just didn’t believe they’d let her stay even near the guys that had just been in a fist fight, especially when they’d probably seen the videos themselves on the news.

“Hey, Ella.” Tom grabbed Ella and sat her on his lap. She gasped.

“Tom!”

“Ella, I don’t want you to go home yet. It’s just as dangerous as letting her,” I made a fist, “back home now.”

“Tom, how did you unbuckle—“

“Let her go,” I told him.

He ignored the both of us. “It would be dangerous, and I care for you too much to do that.” Ella struggled against him, and yelped when he put her hands on her bare back. “Besides, your,” he leaned into her ear, “sexy body can stay with me that way.”

“Hey! Tom, what’s wrong with you?” Georg pried one of Tom’s hands off Ella’s back.

“Tom, put your hands off her!”

“Tom, are you drunk? Let go of me!” Gustav grabbed her waist and helped her wrench herself from Tom. Ella took the spot between me and Gustav. She huffed, checking her arms for marks. “I’d rather stay with Bill if you’re such an ***.”

“Yeah, right,” Tom slurred. “He’s tiny.” He broke off into drunken laughs and hiccups.

Oh god, I was embarrassed for him. How did he manage to get drunk in less than an hour at a hospital? Ella thanked Gustav, smiling slightly at him.

“Don’t worry about it,” Gustav shyly smiled.

“I have another bedroom in my suite,” I said aloud after a silence broken only by hiccups. “There’s two queen beds there waiting for you. You two can stay there if you want. The door locks, so you can have your privacy. And they’re well-sized rooms.”

“Thanks, Bill.” Ella smiled. “That’s sweet.”

“No, mom, I promise…Yeah. Wait, hold on a sec.” Blume held out her phone to me. “She wants to talk to you.” I almost heard the Jaws theme song in my head as I reached out for her pink Razr.

“Hi, Mrs. Abendroth.” I gulped when I put the phone to my ear.

“Hello, Bill. Now, Blume told me about the fight, and that the reason why you lashed out is because she was insulted. Is that true?” She spoke slowly and clearly.

“Erm, yeah. That’s true.” I cleared my throat.

“Okay. While I don’t condone violence, I do appreciate that you were defending her. Now let’s make this clear: I don’t want any more violence. Alright? The only exception is self-defense.”

“Yeah. Erm, yes. No more fighting, except for necessary self-defense. I promise.”

“Good. Do you have a proper place for her to stay?”

“Yes. I’m allowing her to stay in my suite. But don’t worry, the bedrooms each have a lock from the inside.”

“Wow. Fancy place, isn’t it?”

“Yes, ma’am. You have nothing to worry about. I won’t try anything.” She paused, and I panicked that saying I wouldn’t might imply that I would.

“Okay. Bill, I want you to take great care of my little girl. That means keeping her out of the public eye as best you can, and please don’t let her near your brother. It seems he needs time to cool off. Is that understood?”

“Yes, ma’am.

“And Bill?”

“Yes?”

“You’re a good boy. Don’t ruin it. Take care.”

“You too. I’ll keep her safe.”

“I know you will. Bye, Bill.”

“Bye, Mrs. Abendroth.” I flipped the phone closed and handed it back to Blume with a grin.

“Wow. Your mom doesn’t hate me!” I cabbage-patched to lighten the mood.

“Yeah. She’s the calmer, more understanding parent. Wait till you mean my dad.” I would have laughed, if it probably wasn’t only meant as a half-joke. Sheiße…
