Now, I know that most of us probably aren't from the Philippines (being the US forum and all), but on January 15th, the boys are going to be doing an interview on Monster Radio RX 93.1.

Pinoy TH fans! Tune in to Monster Radio RX 93.1 this Friday, January 15, 2009 at 6:30PM for the Phone Interview with Tokio Hotel.
Should you wish to listen to the station through the Internet, look for the station on e-Radio Portal (http://www.eradioportal.com/) under FM stations in Manila. During the interview, you can bombard RX with your greetings to the band through text!
Won’t be able to listen to the interview on Friday at all? THP will post a recording of the interview here on the website during the weekend as well for the benefit of those who won’t be able to listen real time.

That's 6:30PM PHT, which is 13 hours ahead of our Eastern Standard time, meaning it'll be on at 5:30AM on the 15th, so set your clocks for EARLY. ;)

I'm bonus excited about this because one of my very first fandom friends is the one currently slated to be doing the interview. <3 I'm so happy for her!

Fair enuff this is TH's introduction to the Philippines, but they still could hav asked something really random to make things interesting.

Don't they realise this is stuff us fans know alredi??? Why waste a perfectly good opportunity to get fresh juicy gossip with questions like "How long does it take to do your hair Bill?" or "Whats it like to sing in 2 different languages?"

New fans who are just learning about the band and don't have their every stat memorized already. We've all been in that curious fact collecting place at one point.

A fan did ask what inspired Bill to get his new do. That's understandable. But, the DJ had to ask Bill how long it takes him to do his hair. No one really cares about that. Questions like that that are asked so often become boring and don't really give any important insight about the band. I mean, even the DJ's realized they forgot to ask a couple of key questions.

But, overall, it was nice to hear Bill/Tom's voices and listen to bill fangirl over 2012! :lol: That was too funny.

TH is new to the Philipines. But, the fans have the internet to find all kinds of info about the band. That's how so many of us became informed. I just wish that DJ's try to ask cool questions.

And funny thing - did anyone notice him switching up the answer he usually gives when asked about producing music bilingually? He said it was "weally hard" (lol) and that's kinda interesting cuz usually they brush it off and say that English is and has been part of them for a while.

Oh God, I listened this interview once (so far) and yes, I noticed IB mentioned, but to be honest I didn't think about it at all. I could have made the same mistake, because I actually didn't think about it at all until you mentioned it. Of course I realised it right away now, but I didn't think about it at all at that point. F- Alright so everybody is so excited about this interview. We asked them earlier to send in some questions. We’ve got tons of questions for you so I hope you guys are ready.
T- Perfect.
B- Yes.
G- They are. They sound like they are really really ready. So who wants to ask the first question though?
F- We can let Charm do it since she is the president of the fan club here.
G- That’s right. She is pretty much your biggest fan I guess here in the Philippines because she is the president of the fan club.
B- Wow. Hi.
C- Hi this Charm and I am the fan club leader for the Philippines…
B- Hi good to hear.
C- Hi. So I just have a couple questions that fans, new and old, would like to know about you. So how is 2010 treating you guys so far? How did you spend your holidays? Did you go abroad to spend your vacation?
B- umm
T- We had no vacation.
B- Yeah we had no vacations which is you know really bad. But we are in the studio right now and we prepare everything for our European tour coming up. It’s really great so I think we have a nice stage and we have a nice set and we prepare everything and it looks really really cool. So yeah I think it’s just all the rehearsal stuff for the tour and I hope we have some days off before the tour and I think it would be really cool to have some vacations but yeah not so far. But it’s great, I mean 2010 is going to be a great year.
F- Cool
G- There you go. I think we’ve established that they’re very hard working. I mean on new year’s they don’t even take vacations! They’re still in the studio now.
F- I know! Wait, you guys are calling us from where right now? Are you in Germany?
B&T- Yeah
B- We are in Germany and it’s near Hamburg our studio so it’s in a small village, which is really cool you know because everything is just quiet and we just have the music and we are alone, alone in the studio.
G-Ahh
F- Ahh alone. So is that how you guys work? You guys have to be alone, you have to be secluded away from everybody?
B- Yeah definitely. You need some quite time to just be creative and um yeah that’s an important thing for us.
G- Alright so anyway Fran and I have come up with a bunch of random questions for you, just stuff that we wanted to ask you guys. Here actually this one comes from one of our listeners Sev and the question is…well directed at bill, where did you get your cool hairstyle from? What’s the inspiration?
F- I’m sure you get asked that a lot.
G- I know.
B- I don’t know. I really don’t know. I just wake up and then I have the idea and I just do it. I have no you know there’s something there’s no secret behind it. I don’t know. I really don’t know.
F- It’s cool though but how long have you had your hair like that, long like that?
B- Um I think you know for me it’s always important to change it because you know I think for me an important thing is to look in the mirror and I think it’s really bad when you get bored you know so I always change my hairstyle every once in awhile. So I think I don’t know I’ve my hair like that for three months maybe.
G- So for three months you have had… so how long does it take for you to style your hair like that? Just a random question.
B- umm I mean it’s not that long. I think you just need a lot of hairspray. I think nearly one bottle everyday…
F&G- Whoa!
B-…Then it’s fine. I think I can handle that, just the hair, in 10 to 15 minutes.
F- Wow. Ok so in 2010 will this be the year that you might like maybe like…
G- Shake it up a bit.

B- I think you know I never plan it, something like that in advance. I just do it you know when I wake up in the morning and I have I feel like that then I just do it. You know I think it’s boring when you plan it.

G- Alright, so charm do you have another question?
C- ummm I don’t know. Well you mentioned in a previous interview that you planned on coming over to Asia. Is there some way we could help you guys with that?
B- I don’t know. I mean we really want to come over. We are so excited we have fans. I mean it’s still crazy. We are so excited about that. I think that after the European tour we definitely want to come over.
T- It’s just the time.
B- It’s just the time thing yeah. We have the European tour coming up but after that definitely. We really want to meet you guys. So yeah
C- You mentioned that you want to spend your vacation somewhere. Your fans know that you like to spend your vacations somewhere remote in some beach and the Philippines have a lot of beaches.
G- We actually have 7100 islands…
T- You know come over to vacation.
B- Oh that’s sounds good. We think about that.
G- And while you’re at it just throw like a little concert
F- Alright for those of you guys who are tuned in right now, we are talking to Bill and Tom of Tokio Hotel, of course the brothers of the band. Where are your other band mates at this moment?
B- They are still in the bed. They are too tired.
G- Alright so anyway. I actually have a more personal question for you guys. Well obviously you don’t know I’m a really big geek. I’m into robots and comic books and whatever.
F- And gaming
G- And gaming…
F- World of War…craft
G- Pretty much everything geeky. Yeah World of Warcraft as it’s called. So I was watching your video like a couple of weeks ago, your video Automatic, and I just wanted to ask you guys if it is inspired by Transformers or Battle Star Galactica because it kind of looks like a scillon (?).
B- You know everyone from the band likes the whole sci fy movies and everything. I think it’s inspired by a lot of different movies. Transformers was a great movie but we just saw 2012 which is a great movie so everyone go in the cinema and watch this movie because it’s awesome. I think we are really into those movies and really like those stuff so yeah I think it’s inspired by a lot of different things.
F- Cool.
G- That’s nice to know that it just doesn’t come from one inspiration and everything.
F- Speaking of movies have you guys watched avatar?
B- No not so far but we definitely want to do this.
F- Cool. What else? What other movies out there? What about have you guys watched Inglorious Basterds?
T- No.
F- No? You’re not going to watch that movie?
T- No it’s really hard for us to go in the cinema.
F- Yeah

B- You know sometimes but I think that you know when you are on tour you can’t do that. It’s a really hard and tough schedule to play every night and we want to give our fans 100%. So yeah I think that on tour you have to get your sleep and everything. I think it’s important to stay healthy and do that but we definitely go to parties.
T- But believe me I think we had a lot of very dirty and very you know loud and great parties and I think the future we will also have that.
G- Great to know that rock stars are still partying like rock stars.
F- Hey so when you come over to the Philippines you have to look for us and we will take you out.
T- Right

B- Yes.

G- In Germany yeah that’s what we heard. And if I remember correctly when the Berlin wall was being brought down, he was actually singing while the live newscast was going on. Are you guys in any way influenced by David Hasselhoff?
B- I mean yeah I think it’s just Georg.
T- Yeah. He’s a fan of David Hasselhoff’s dance moves.

B- I think that was a long time ago.
