My name can ring fear into the hearts of my victims, and yet I’m not all that terrifying.

My name is Syrena Phoenix-Lisbon, and I am on a mission to save the lives of four guys who I don’t know. I was given names, but no faces. However I quickly found out that they were rock stars and finding their pictures was easy…way to easy.. But first I think I should tell you about yours truly.

I was born in a small village in Japan, 17(almost 18) years ago on a dark stormy night in October…well kind of…it wasn’t really storming, just raining, and I just like to say that cause my birthday is Halloween. Anyway, my father died when I was two and my mom and I were driven out of the village. We have no clue why either. We moved to Germany not long after my 5th birthday, where we lived until I turned 11. That year was probably one on the toughest years of my entire life. My mom, whom I was very close to, died from unknown causes. Only 11 and I was alone, very alone. I soon moved to America to live with a couple who had lost a child that would have been my age. And now, I had to learn my third language…switching from Japanese to German was hard enough seeing as how in the Japanese alphabet, the letter L doesn’t exist. I was constantly ostracized cause I would always mispronounce things and so I usually kept my mouth shut and tried to learn the L sound. I had lived in Rochester Indiana with my step family for 5 years when, on my 16th birthday, my life changed drastically.

*flashback*

My adopted family always decorated the backyard for Halloween, and this year was no different. I loved having my birthday on Halloween. A lot of people describe me a punk/emo with a gansta twist. My outfit for the night was a black and red plain just-above-the-knee skirt with my favorite knee high boots, a black Bullet For My Valentine tank covered with a red midriff sweatshirt. I was also wearing a white hat with the Kanji (Japanese) word for love written graffiti style in red and black all over it. I had done the graffiti myself too!
The night was going smoothly and about an hour before we would tear everything down and head inside for my birthday “festivities” AKA dinner cake…the usual, my best friend Beth wanted to walk around for a bit. My adopted parents, of course, said that it was ok.
As we started walking towards city park, I became aware that we were not alone (my ninja senses kicked in.), but every time I turned to look, no one was there. By the time we reached the park, Beth and I were scared senseless.
“We’ve watched one too many scary movies.” Beth whispered nervously.
“Ah, but this is no movie.” a voiced hissed behind us.
Beth took off screaming and me, being the ‘brave one’ tried to punch the bodiless voice.
“oh, we’ve got a feisty one!” the voice hissed again.
“who are you and what do you want?” I asked hoping my voice sounded more confident than I felt.
“I’m Lucifer and I’m hungry” he whispered in my ear.
I felt a sharp pain right below my left ear and just as sudden as it came it was gone. I remember nothing else except for screaming and a lot of rustling behind me.
*end flashback*

When I woke, I don’t know how long I was out, I was back in Germany, with the man who rescued me. His name was Krystopher Lisbon, and he explained exactly what had happed to me, and what Lucifer was.
Oh yes my friends, Lucifer was a full-fledged vampire, and he had bitten me.
I’m not a full-fledged vampire, and it’s unclear why, there are very few like me. I guess you could call us a sister breed, or carriers. We look like humans, act like them, and are them, but at the same time, we’re not human. Over time many books have come close to what vampires act like, but not quite close enough. They can go out in sunlight, they have reflections, and wooden stakes…maybe in the past but definitely not now. Humans who are aware of the existence of vampires (my adopted parents are a prime example of this, except they don’t believe the myths, just what Krys told them) tend to believe that vampires will spontaneously combust or glitter in sunlight, I personally like the glitter idea, very ‘twilight’(I love that book, even now). Carriers can eat food and drink human beverages and we don’t need or crave blood except on the night that we were bitten. We have heightened senses and quicker reflexes, however unlike vampires, we carriers can bleed and die like humans…like if human was stabbed or something bloody and gruesome like that. Basically carriers are more off-road-ready humans.

Anyway, enough about me, on to my mission. On my 17th birthday, my ‘brother’ Krys, whom I have lived with for a year now(and I always call and write my family and friends back in the states, my adopted parents are the only ones who really know what happened, the rest think I’m on a foreign exchange program for two years.), gave me an important mission. He gave it to me because of my skill and experience with fighting and protecting others. (I’ve been a black belt in martial arts since I was 13 and I have a pretty killer aim too)
My mission, you ask?
To protect the members of international superstars, Tokio Hotel, from a bunch of crazy vampires who want Bill and Tom Kaulitz dead.
Their motives are unknown…and who they are is another question and matter entirely. Up until now I have never even heard of Tokio Hotel and how I was going to make this mission a success…I have no idea.

Chapter 2

Finding them is not a problem…staying near enough to them is. I’ve traveled all over trying to get close enough t o them to figure out how I could somehow work with them. While I did that I also found as much information about the twins as I could, from their parent’s divorce all the way to the name of Bill’s teddy bear to how Bill cuts a pizza. God, when I did all of my research…I felt like a freaking stalker psycho fan girl…thing. But a vamps gotta do what a vamps gotta do.(I tend to call myself a vamp…even though I’m not.)
Anyway…currently, I’m sitting in an airport waiting for my flight to LA to be announced…so bored.

“what are you listening to?" A voice asked me suddenly.

I turned to see none other than TH sitting around me.(oh the irony)

“music” I answered with a smirk and turning to Bill I asked “Does Tom always talk to strange girls?” (that’s not good…after all the people after him and Bill could be girls)

“ja he does…whenever they are alone…he’s shy when it comes to groups of girls.” bill said cracking out his melt-your-heart smile.

-Flight 423 bound for LA is now boarding. Have a wonderful flight and we hope that you enjoy flying on German Airways-

“that’s my flight!” I squeak jumping up knowing perfectly well that it was their flight too. And In my haste…I forgot my iPod and I never go ANYWHERE without my iPod.

I walk up to the ticket desk.

“name?” the lady asked

“Syrena Phoenix-Lisbon’ I stated, hissing slightly on my S’s (it’s a vamp thing)

“miss slight problem…this is a private flight” the lady replied

“what!? But my big brother, Krystopher Lisbon, told me that there would be a ticket waiting for me…for THIS flight.” I replied, becoming frantic.

“Krystopher Lisbon is your brother?” the lady asked, surprised

“well Krys Lisbon the 3rd is my brother.” (did I mention krys is a billionaire? Oh I didn’t…my mistake)

“oh I’m terribly sorry miss…here is your ticket!”
“its ok and danke!” I reply with a smile.

When I finally got to my seat, first class( danke Krys), I realized as I reached for it…my iPod was gone.

I was, quite literally, hanging out of the overhead luggage compartment when I heard Tom exclaim, “Well isn’t this our lucky day! Hot and able to get on a private flight.”( I’m glad I decided to wear jeans that day.)

“well it just so happens to be my big brother who got me on this flight…I mean he does own the airport…and Tom…keep it in your pants.” I replied as I dropped from the luggage compartment.

“you left this in the airport.” Georg said for the first time, handing me my iPod.

“OMIGOSH!!!! DANKEDANKEDANKE!!!!!”

“so….what are you listening to?” Tom tried again.

“your stupid pick-up line.”

All the guys, except Tom, cracked up laughing.


“well seeing as how we are all on this extremely long flight to LA, who are you?” Gustav (big shock…I know.) asked, suddenly curious.

“I’m Syrena Phoenix-Lisbon, I’m 17, tri-lingual, Japanese and extremely bored.” I say turning on my iPod.

That is I would have if Tom hadn’t reached over and stole it.

Georg got this look on his face like, oh snap.

“Tom…don’t make me go all crazy white chick on your ***.” I snap, giving him a look that gave a new meaning to ‘if looks could kill’.

Tom looked like he peed his pants and handed my iPod back.

“Danke” I say with a huge smile.

One hour of meaningless chit-chat, that was mostly smart-*** comments directed towards Tom, and four bags of gummibears later, I slowly drifted to sleep.

Gustav leaned over towards Georg and whispered, “she creeps me out.”

“why is that?” Georg asked.

“I dunno, she just does.”

Syrena did have a creepy look to her especially today.
Tripp jeans, a corseted shirt, black fingerless gloves and black and green make-up. Not only that but the multi-colored streaks in her hair definitely made a statement.

“whatever Gustav. We should try to get some sleep. I think she’s ok and so do Bill and Tom. And plus I think we’re the only ones up.” Georg replied after looking Syrena over.

Gustav was still unsure about Syrena.

“yeah…I guess so.”

Eventually everyone was asleep.

Chapter 3

SCREECH!!!!!
I jerked awake to the sound of the landing gear coming to life( heightened senses…a gift and a curse.) I looked around at the sleeping guys and I carefully found his sidekick, added my name to his friends list( a bit obvious if you ask me… sy43schrei) and did the same for Tom and Georg. But just as I go to reach for Gustav’s , the fasten seat belt sign flipped on and the pilot came over the intercom announcing our arrival at LAX.

I quickly sat back down and accepted friend requests for the following:

Bill- gummibear-Bill
Tom- Guitar-Guy-TH
Georg- *Awesome-Possum*

[author: oh yeah….I went there…don’t ask how I came up with that…please…it involves lack of sleep, the 1st Lord of the Rings movie, and an extreme sugar high…not to mention the fact that it was 3 or 4 am ^^]

*FF to airport*

While TH was tackled by fan girls I slipped away…and sensed a vampire nearby.
Vamps tend to smell…well…intoxicating there really is no other way to explain it.
I didn’t know this vamp(after a while you can recognize each vamp’s scent), he or she could be the one im after.

At that time I dropped my bags and ran back towards the gate where TH had been standing mere moments ago…only to find them gone.
Quickly I ran back to where I dropped my bags and took of outside like I was being chased by a pack of rabid wolves and began my frantic search for the mystery vamp and TH.

When I got to the pick-up area I spotted TH…and the Vamp not far behind.

She was a small hyperactive vampire who was making a beeline for TH.
I hurried to catch up with them.

“OMIGOSH!!! Can I have your autographs? You guys are sooooo hot!!!” the girl asked them

She then noticed that I was standing next to her.

“OH you must be Syrena!!!! Krys was looking for you!!!!!!!!! I’m Ariel, your cousin!!!” she squealed, smiling taking her autograph and skipping over to a waiting limo with, yep you guessed it, Krys standing next to it.

“yeah see ya” Tom replied more than happy to be rid of my teasing.

At that time my sidekick vibrated and Krys was dragging me to the limo like there was no tomorrow.

“what on earth are you in such a rush about seeing as how you’ve had 300 years to do just about wha…” I started

“Lucifer is a part of the plan to get the Kaulitz twins.” Krys interrupted.

Krys was still talking, but I didn’t hear a word he was saying.

…Lucifer…the object of my nightmares….the reason why I…why I hate myself!!

Nein…how can I be ok? Never in a million years from now will I ever be ok!!!!!

I jerked back to reality when Krys smacked me. (he’s the only one allowed to hit me)

“WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?!?!?” I yell, touching my cheek

“I’ve been trying to get your attention for like an hour now!” krys snapped back. “now I’ve managed to contact TH’s tour manager and asked her if there were any jobs available for you and Ariel. They needed someone to assist the bodyguards and someone to help with light design.”

“I thought you weren’t going to interfere…”

“ well I wasn’t…but now that Lucifer is involved…its personal.” Krys said grimly “ that’s also where ariel comes in…good old Lucifer got her 2 years ago.”

“apparently I didn’t taste all that great…ooo…SHINY!!!” Ariel giggled, getting distracted by her zipper.

I just raised my eyebrows

“I know what you’re thinking…but Ariel is actually really good at creating distractions…that’s why she’s helping with the lights.” Krys said simply.

One thing I should mention about Krys and Lucifer….they are twins…one good, one evil.

We pulled up to a hotel that had a huge crowd standing outside that was so big (how big was it?) Texas wouldn’t have enough hotel rooms to keep them all happy. (and that’s BIG)

Our chauffer opened the door and Krys got out first followed soon by myself and Ariel.

Somehow we managed to get through the crowd and into the hotel.

“what the…are you following us or something?” a voice said from the other side of a couch.

“um…nein.”(um…ja) I said to a slightly miffed Tom

“HI I’m Lexi…the tour manager.” a woman’s voice cut across the intense Phoenix-Lisbon/ Kaulitz stare off with Ariel judging.

The newcomer dressed very similar to myself...but was definitely more of a gangsta style with a punk/emo twist. She was wearing a plain white tank with black jeans and white sneakers. She also had on black nail polish and hoop earrings.

“oh, this is Steevie, she’s our make-up artist.” Lexi pointed to another girl with crazy layered short black hair. Steevie had a blonde streak on the right side of her ’do and was dressed in jeans and a black tank and hoodie. She had dark, but awesomely done make-up, white nail polish, and a chain necklace. Steevie waved but kept glancing at Gustav.(not noticeably…I just caught her glance at him)

“I’m Syrena and the one trying to unzip all of Bill’s zippers (he was wearing the jeans with all the zippers in them) is Ariel” I reply laughing as Ariel gave a squeal of ‘SHINY!!’ and tried once again to attack Bill’s pants…and fell flat on her face.

One thing that’s for certain…there isn’t going to be a dull moment on this crazy ride.

Chapter 5 Part 1
Family Ties

If you haven’t noticed, I keep calling people my ‘brother’ or they introduce themselves as a new family member. All for good reason, of course. When a human is bitten by , oh lets just say, Lucifer…his older brother, Krys knows…ya know, twin senses. Ever since Lucifer turned evil for reasons unknown, krus follows his brother everywhere, rescuing Lucifer’s victims, like myself and Ariel.

In this chapter, its Ariel’s tale…and then a very confusing journey through my “family tree”.

ARIEL’S POV

Whenever I see something shiny, I go straight for. I have a huge fear of getting lost, which happens quite a bit…like right now.

All I know is that I’m somewhere near a creepy old mansion that’s supposedly haunted, and its almost midnight.

I can remember walking into the mansion’s gardens and getting distracted by something shiny, a mirror to be exact. As I looked into the mirror, I saw a tall man with long, silky, white blonde hair and bright glowing red eyes. I was so scared…I couldn’t move.

“hn…I was right….humans are easily distracted.” he hissed.

I had no strength left in my body. Every fiber of my being was screaming at me to run, but I couldn’t. not even when he moved my hair and bit down on my neck.

“such a beauty…” he whispered in my ear.

~…so much pain…~

“Lucifer…let…her…go.” another voice demanded.

I can remember seeing his face, so much like Lucifer’s, yet so different. The second man had medium-long white blond hair that was spiked up, kinda like that blond guy in that one band…um…Forever The Sickest Kids.

~never heard their music…I’ve only seen their pictures~

He had bright silver gray eyes, instead of the glowing red ones.

“well if it isn’t Krys, my hero of a big brother.” Lucifer sneered, releasing me. I sunk to my knees, shocked, but still alive.

I heard a loud bang, a scream and then I gave myself up to the inevitable darkness.

When I woke up, I had no idea where I was, but I did know that I was still 17 year old Ariel Jones, who easily got hyper off of gummy worms and easily got distracted by shiny things, I don’t know how I knew, but I did know that I was a vampire.


Sorry this took so long to get up!!!!! Part 2 is the confusing part of Chapter 5...so bear with me.
