This is just some crazy ****...
I mean, first the album wasn't selling enough, then it's fine...
What the **** is going on if they are winning all of these awards then? Was it just in certain places where they EXPECTED to do good...
Like the U.S. or Germany? Idk...
I'm just happy for them! Lol!

I stopped following all the news about Humanoid-album a long time ago. It's too confusing and too much drama. Whatever. I bought two cd's, so I've done my part. Otherwise I don't want to get any anxiety problems because of it. But hey, nice to read finally nice news of it. Made my day...

YAY! : D
But I think that even though people are saying the sales bombed in places like the US and Germany, they;re doing so well in other parts! : D
Now if they could just break the UK... and actually get their publicists to make an effort when they're doing it. ^_^

that's really cool. I assume their album sales are going to go up a little more once the boys are on tour and the hype starts again.

Same here, all of this has just been confusing, so I stopped worrying about it. Looks like Bill was right though.

I think it was just the reviews that scared us... What was really going on was that the cds were selling well.
OR...
The reviewers got paid to give bad reviews so ppl would feel bad for TH and buy as many cds as they could...

Oh, don't you dare to start yet again another conspriracy theory around TH here!
Honestly, whatever the guys do, there's is always a conspiracy theory behind it according to fans.
Well, it is true that Humanoid didn't sell as well as previous records in here, BUT there is also a this little bit false image, which easily comes into minds with TH. It's an image of being The Biggest Of Them All. They are big, but like in here, they've never quite reached the levels of other mainstream artists. TH's fanbase has been quite big, extremely devoted and loud, visible so to say, but being like that, it's has also always been very limited. TH has never been (here) the music for great masses, it has been music for fans. It means that the base buying their music is limited and same comes with concerts. So, I think that all the hype of being actually the biggest of them all out there is little bit false. And if we start to see and think them as the biggest and expect same numbers on records and concert tickets like Metallia, Rammstein, Green Day etc. which are selling to waaaayyyy wider audience (in numbers, in age and in taste of music), I think we have a wrong image.
And that's about what I want to say. This topic always depresses me.

I agree with Amdee, although I'd like to say other wise. But it's pretty much true. It seems huge to us, I guess, but in the long run it's not as big as we'd like it to be. But let's not talk about depressing topics like this one, let's get back to the topic at hand...
YAY FOR TOKIO HOTEL!

It is! Esp. if u look at the numbers for the American market. But, at least the album is selling well overseas!

If TH go Gold in the USA. I would die of happiness. That is a tough goal for them to achieve for the USA. idk I hope one day that does happen or at least 300,000 copies. lol
Anyway, I'm glad they are doing well overseas and etc. So that's the main thing. Yes, it didn't do as well as their previous albums but they still have plenty of time to make up for it so to speak.
So Congrats Tokio Hotel.

Yes, and after all the statistics are not that bad if we look at the discography from Wikipedia (I decided to count of Wikipedia here) and compare previous albums and Humanoid:

When any band undergoes a musical change...it takes a while for the world to catch on. Hence the slow build up of increasing record sales.
America is a hard sell; and if you really think about it, the current sound and "look" of the band is old news in America. We've already had the adrogynous wave if you can include Davey Havok or Sunny Moore. As for the electronic sound, though it's roots are european...our rock radio stations are pretty saturated by it..it's our "new wave". so with all of these artists hopping on the electronic train...TH have already been kind of drowned out. Plus, TH has a heavy - chick based following..that scares the crap out of the "hardcore" male rockers.
NONETHELESS...their change is slowly but surely getting recognized. i'm glad they haven't been consumed by mainstream America. Im all for the underground scene ^-

It's amazing how Green Day and U2 can make it. But then again, to be honest, U2 has really amazing music and lyrics.
But they have also had their ups and downs. (:
