CHAPTER 1:
Jan sat on the left side of her stoop. She had a crooked smile on her face. Her chocolate brown hair whiped at her face as the wind blew quietly. Jan was silently watching the sun set. Jan was always amazed by nature, the way the seasons changed and how the sky turned multiple colors. Her stoop was her only get away. She stared down at her beat up old converse. They were torn and had little doodles drawn all over it. Jan was slowly drifting off into a dream world where there were no such things as regrets and bad days when suddenly she heard a loud beep.
"Hello? Elle?! you scared the crapp out of me!" jan shouted.
"My bad, whats going on girl?" Elle questioned.
"Nothing, just watching the sunset, had a bad day, ya know the ushaul." Jan responded.
"Your so emo sometimes, and why are you watching the sunset your like a little old women, c'mon i wanna go out tonight!" Elle spit out.
Jan always got mad when Elle called her names and judged her. Elle didnt get Jan. She didnt understand Jans struggles nor did she want to.
"Your so ridiculous sometimes" said Jan.
"Yeah whatev, im comming to pick you up in 5 kay bye"
"I never said i wanted to go-" The call was ended. Jan had no choice, She was going out with Elle tonight. Jan has spent most of her summer days following Elle around. She loved Elle she was her best friend but at times it was like Elle didnt even care about Jan. Jan knew deep down in her heart she did but Elle could be so superficial. Ten mintues later Elle had arrived. She honked her horn furiously at Jan. Jan quickly hopped into Elles "pimped out" ride. Elles car was a beat up old honda, that elle tried to glam up. Elles car was blasting some ghetto rap.
"Shut that music off its giving me a headache" Jan shouted at Elle over the speakers.
"Your such a granny girl!" Elle responded. Jan stared at Elle. Elle was so gorgeous and Jan had always been secretly jealous. Elles hair was a rich black and her eyes were a turqouise blue. Her hair was always perfect not a strand out of place.
"So where are we going tonight?" Jan questioned curiously.
"Some party! Are you ready to dance!?"
"No, and i never will be, Elle you know i hate parties!"
"dont be a baby!" Elle chirped.
The girls pulled up to a swanky street filled with clubs, concert venues and glitzy apartments. Jan stared up at the billboards and high skyscrappers. She looked at a sign above a venue. "TOKIO HOTEL SOLD OUT" The sign read. She laughed in her head. Tokio hotel? what on earth was that?! She imagined some sleezy japanese girls who danced around on stage like the pussy cat dolls. But outside she saw hundreds of girls piling up to holding large signs with srange symbols on them.
Finally they had reached their destination. Elle grabbed Jan and they walked in to the party side by side. THey had arrived to a chic apartment with guys and girls sipping martinis and dancing on the dance floor. Elle instantly jumped on the dance floor and started dancing the night away. Jan stood in the cornor almost embarssed. She never understood how Elle could just bust a move anywhere at any given time. She liked being a wallflower but at times she wondered what would it be like to be Elle. After half an hour Jan got bored of watching people grind up on each other. She helplessly left the aparment and stood on the curb of the street. Jan looked at her reflection in a puddle. She was short and scrawny. Her long brown hair laid on her shoulders. She was wearing ballet flats and a a trapeze style mini dress. Jan wasnt ugly, but she always told herself she was. Low self esteem was Jans main charerteristic. She quickly crossed the street and ran down the block until she found her self looking at the large venue sign. "TOKIO HOTEL SOLD OUT". She quietly started walking down a long alley next to the venue. Jan could see a light at the end of the alley. As she got closer she could see it was comming from a door. JAn was finally by the door adn she decided to peek inside and see what was going on. All she could see guitars and amps lying around.
"Can i help you?" A man said in a heavy accent, the voice was comming from behind her. Jan was scared and jumped. She wasnt expecting anyone to be behind her. SHe slowly turned around and faced her eyes on him.
okay thats chapter one! you like it?
what should i name this story?
CHAPTER TWO:
Elle slowly drifted away from the dance floor. Some older guy was groping on her and she was getting creeped out. Elle needed to get out of there. Her blue eyes searched the room for Jan but she wasnt there. Elle strolled into the bathroom and checked in the stalls. Still no Jan. Where could she have gone? She quickly checked herself in the mirror before she left the bathroom. She looked flawless as ushaul. Elle stumbled out of the apartment and stood on the corner of the street. "****n im gonna be in trouble, how am i gonna explain to everyone Jan just dissapered.." She thought in her head. She looked at her reflection in a near by shop window. She had curves in all the right places. And her skin was warm tan color. She was wearing a fitted tube dress with 3 necklaces. Her shoes were Jimmy Choo and her bag was Chanel.
((now back to Jan))
Jan stared at the man infront of her. He was tall but decked out in baggy clothes. He almost looked like he was drowning in those clothes. HE stared at her grinning. "Who was he?!" Jan thought in her head.
"Umm, i was just walking around..." Jan responded to his question. She twiddled her figners together and stared at her feet.
" Are you lost? Do you need help" The guy asked in a thick accent. Jan could tell it was a german accent. With the little light she could see he had olive skin. His eyes were a light brown and they glittered.
"No no i was just walking around, thanks though.." Jan politely blurted out.
" Oh okay" he responded. "I just dont like seeing beautiful girls roaming scary dark allies at night."
Jan blushed. A boy had never called her beautiful. And this boy was cute, he was really cute. Jan stared at him and smiled. "I'm Tom by the way."
"Im Jan, So what are you doing here anyway i mean your roaming a dark alley too ya know.." Jan responded. Tom smirked.
"Well have you seen that sign outside?" Tom questioned.
"Yeah i have, do you know what a tokio hotel is?" Jan replied. Tom started laughing. Jan felt stupid. Was that a dumb question? Before tom could respond a man poped out from the door.
"Tom we go on in 5 mintues what are you doing!?" The man was looked older, he was wearing all black, had glasses and black hair with a few gray specs.
"Saki one sec man!" Tom responded in a relaxed tone. Suddenly the man started shouting at tom in german.
"Entspannen Sie sich Mann! Ihr Embaressing mich vor diesem schönen Mädchen! Ich komme in 10 Sekunden!" tom responded. Jan stood their perplexed. What was going on? she thought. Suddenly Tom grabbed her hand and there was no turning back.
ya dig?!
CHAPTER 3:
Elle furiously roamed the streets. She wished she was back at the party dancing and sipping martinis. But instead she was on a hunt for her best friend. It was a sticky hot night in New York City. Elle suddenly saw a familiar object. A glittering object lye in the center of a dark alley. Elle could tell it was Jan’s. Jan wore that bracelet everyday everywhere. Elle quickly scooped it up and held it in her hands. It brought back memories from when she and Jan were just 11. Jan’s brothers had given it to her. Elle guessed that’s what made it special. Jan and Elle were just two giddy little girls back then, but things had changed. They had changed a lot since that night 4 years ago.
(Back to JAN)
Jan stared at Tom, she was confused. She was unaware of her surroundings. Tom had dragged her in here. She didn’t even know who this guy was or why he laughed at her when she asked him what a Tokio hotel was.
“Jan, I have to go on stage now, wanna come watch?” Tom stared at her with a straight forward look.
“Umm sure? But what am I watching?” Jan was beyond puzzled. Things were moving so fast.
“You’ll see” Tom smiled. He winked at her and slung a guitar around his shoulders. He reached out his hand to Jan. Jan stared at him, she didn’t know what was going on but when she looked at Tom she felt a comforting feeling a feeling she hadn’t felt in a while. Like she could trust him, even if she only knew him for 3 minutes. She grabbed his hand and he lead her to an audience of screaming girls.
Jan stood out like flamingo in a flock of pigeons. All the girls had on black and they were flailing large signs in the air that read ICH LIEBE TOKIO HOTEL! Jan looked to the stage and saw tom emerge with three other boys. The girls in the audience went wild they pushed and shoved and shouted at the top of their lungs. A boy appeared at the front of the stage. His hair was teased up and he looked like a cross between a porcupine and an anime character. He was tall and lean. The boy took center stage and started singing. His voice was charming and enticing. Jan couldn’t help but like it. The girls in the audience swayed side by side. Jan stood their calm and not moving. Her eyes fixed on to tom. He was strumming on his guitar. Tom was into his music. Jan could tell. When they were done with their first song tom looked down at Jan and smiled. Jan couldn’t help but smile back. She hadn’t felt this happy in a while.
CHAPTER 4:
CHATPER 4:
Elle sat on the curb her hair was no longer perfectly in place and her flawless face was now melting off because of the humid heat. Tears gradually collapsed along her cheek. She stared down at her hands, Elle was holding Jan’s gold charm bracelet. Elle slowly turned around. She looked down the dark alley where she had found Jan’s bracelet. Elle curiously wondered why her bracelet had been in that alley anyway. She quickly got up and started running down the alley. Jan had to be around here somewhere. Elle followed the light. She could hear loud rock music blasting, Elle ran to a door to find where the music was coming from. Elle saw a familiar head. Long stringy chocolate brown hair, it was Jan! It had to be. But what was she doing in there? “JA- .” Elle didn’t finish her sentence, someone behind was tugging at her shoulder, and attempting to drag her.
“Going somewhere?” a man asked.
(BACK TO JAN)
The concert was over. Jan was energized and happy. Tom had smiled and motioned her to come back stage. Jan calmly watched Tom leave the stage. She gazed up and soon got blinded by the vivid stage lights. Jan’s joyous attitude had quickly disappeared. Tom stared back at Jan. She looked like a deer in headlights. Jan had turned the whitest pale. Tom was concerned but continued walking out.
“She’s fine” he thought to himself. “Perhaps she just needed some water or maybe she was just exhausted.” But suddenly a roar came across the crowd. Screams echoed throughout the venue. Girls squealed and shouted “GET HELP!” Jan had collapsed.
CHAPTER 5:
Jan felt her head hit the ground. A large painful bang that made her mind shake like there was an earthquake. Her eyes slowly closed and all turned black. As Jan lay there unconscious she was brought back to that night four years ago. She had just came home from Elle’s house. She had been just chipper that day. Jan had spent the day playing dolls and watching Nickelodeon. Her favorite things to do. Jan looked around. Her parents weren’t home. What a surprise? Her parents had never been there. Jan’s mom died in a car accident when she was 4 and her dad was always working. She quickly ran downstairs to find her brother. Jan’s brother Danny was her hero. He was her everything, Dan was always there. But when Jan came downstairs she didn’t find what she was looking for. Dan was laying there on the floor, on his stomach. Jan screamed she didn’t know what to do. She was just a kid. Jan ran to her brother and shook him. His face was pale and had no life in it. Soon the police arrived and all was sorted out. Danny was dead. Little Jan didn’t know that her brother was a cocaine addict. He had overdosed. Jan remembered that day everyday, it was always in the back of her head. It haunted her night and day and had never allowed her to be happy. She knew deep down in her heart that Danny would want her to be happy but she couldn’t allow herself. Nothing would ever be the same now that Danny was dead.
CHAPTER 6:
Elle turned around. Why was someone grabbing her? She was scared. Roaming dark allies at eleven at night wasn’t exactly what you would call safe. Elle was being pulled away by a man. He was tall and large. He was dressed in an all black and wore glasses. His hair was black but had spots of gray. He looked like some type of security guard.
“Excuse me?!” Elle shouted at the man. She was scared but she didn’t want to show it.
“You need to leave this area right now!” The man responded. He had a heavy thick accent and a stern look on his face.
“Why?” Elle responded. She was so confused.
“I know you want to see the band but it’s not going to happen lady!”
“What are you talking about? What band?! I just need to find my friend and I think I just sa-” Elle was cut off. The angry man continued to shout at her and tug her away.
“Yeah okay” The man responded.
“You don’t understand! I need to get my friend! LET ME GO!” Elle was Angry. Angry enough that it made her lip quiver and made tears come drizzling out of her eyes. The man let go of Elle. But not in a polite manner. He tossed her all the way across to the other side of the Alley. Elle was furious but there was nothing she could do. Why was Jan with a band? Elle roamed the streets. Her hair was a mess and the tears that fell down her cheeks were black from all her mascara.
“Are you okay? Do you need help?” Elle turned around slowly to glance at the boy in front of her.
(BACK TO JAN/TOM)
Tom stared down at the unconscious girl in front of him. All had happened to fast. One moment he was rocking out on stage and the next he was in the emergency room. Tom glared at Jan. Tom laughed at himself. Jan was nothing like the girl he’d dream about. Jan was petite and scrawny. Tom sat next to the hospital bed. He stroked his hand through her silky chocolate colored hair. Suddenly Jan began to twitch. Her eyes slowly opened. Tom fumbled around. He suddenly felt uncomfortable. Jan stared up. She could she ceiling tiles and then she saw Tom.
“Where am I?” Jan questioned. She sat up.
“In the hospital, you collapsed at the show” Tom responded. Jan looked around. She had a slightly crazed looked on her face but you could tell she was mostly frightened. Jan felt so sore. She felt her head to discover she had a bruise. A hundred thoughts started running through Jan’s mind. Where was Elle? Why did she collapse? All she could remember was watching tom play and then gazing into those bright lights. But then it all came back she gained memory of the flash back she had. Tears filled in her eyes.
“What’s wrong?” Tom questioned.
“Nothing I’m fine, I need to go” Jan quickly fumbled to get her bag and she ran to the door. Tom got up and grabbed Jan’s hand.
“Where are you going? Why are you leaving?” Tom was upset.
“Look this was fun and all but I shouldn’t be here this shouldn’t be happening” Jan quickly dashed out the door and down the hallway. Tom watched her run away. He had a puzzled look on his face. What had he done wrong? Stuff like this never happened to him. He was Tom, girls worshipped at his feet. Why was one running away from him?
“Well that didn’t go very well …” Bill butted in.
“No it didn’t. What are you doing here?” Tom was even more confused now. Had his brother followed him to the hospital?
“Well I came because I found this girl who said she was looking for Jan”. Bill responded. Tom looked next to bill. A short curvy girl with a tight black mini dress on with ink black hair stared at him.
Chapter 7:
(BACK TRACK TO ELLE)
Elle turned around. The boy in front of her was strange looking. She had to stare at him twice to make sure he was a boy. With his dark eye makeup and long black hair he could easily been mistaken for a girl. Elle felt embarrassed for thinking he was a girl even if she had only thought it for a second or two.
“Um yeah I do need help actually” Elle responded. She didn’t know who this boy was, but honestly she didn’t care. She was too tired and fed up that she was desperate enough to talk to strangers. “I’m looking for my friend Jan, we were at a party together and then she just disappeared”
“Jan…” The boy responded. Elle stared at him confused. “That name sounds so familiar, is she short? Does she have brown hair?” Elle was pleasantly surprised. This boy knew Jan!
“Oh my god yes that’s Jan! Do you know where she is?!” Elle was giddy with excitement, her night had turned into a disaster and things were finally looking right.
“She was at our concert, she was with tom.” He responded.
“Your concert? And who’s tom?” Elle was perplexed. She thought she was getting somewhere but now she felt like she was back at the drawing board.
“You don’t know me?” The boy asked curiously.
“Does it look like I know you?!” Elle responded. She was getting feisty and just a little ticked off.
“Oh sorry, I’m Bill, Tom is my twin brother and we are in a band together. Jan was with Tom at the concert but then she collapsed.” Elle was angry now. This story sounded so make believe. Was this just some crazy guy on the street trying to mess with her?
“Collapsed?! What are you talking about? Look if you some creepy dude who wants to get with me back off! I have pepper spray! Don’t make me take it out!” Elle was fired up. Maybe it was the heat that was making her crazy. Bill started mumbling to him self in another language.
“Come with me I will take you to the hospital where she is at” Bill responded. He put his hand out toward Elle. Elle was furious and a bit scared. She stared at Bill straight in the eyes. Her parents had always taught her not to talk to strangers but he seemed different.
“Fine” Jan responded and held his hand.
(FAST FORWARD TO THE HOSPITAL)
“**** IT!” Elle shouted. “She had to run away right? I mean I come all the way here and I find her and now she’s god knows where”
“I’m really sorry” Bill replied in his thick German accent. When he said sorry it sounded more like sowwie.
“It’s okay, she is probably just going home, and thanks a lot for helping me find her”. Elle twiddled her thumbs together. What was she gonna do now. This was beyond awkward. She was in a hospital at midnight with two boys she didn’t even know.
“I’m gonna go home, maybe ill see Jan, and thanks a lot again” Elle was trying to leave politely. Tom looked at Elle. She was perfect! She had all the things he wanted in a girl. Tom stared at Bill. He could tell Bill liked her. The way that Bill looked at her it was ridiculously obvious.
“Um wait! What’s your name?” Bill was making an attempt to make her stay. He liked her company.
“Uh Elle” Elle was kind of freaked out. She was happy that this guy had helped her find her friend but now he was trying to make a pass on her? No way.
“Oh that’s a nice name!” Bill responded. He felt like an idiot. Who says that anyway? Tom looked at bill questionably; it took a lot for Tom to hold in his laughter.
“Um I’m gonna go now…” Elle had just enough. She didn’t find this Bill guy to be attractive at all. And he wasn’t quite smooth either. Elle started to walk away. Maybe she was being a little ******. But so what? She was in no mood to play around.
“Wow Bill” Tom teased.
“Will you shut up!?” Bill glared at him
“What was up with that?!” Tom asked laughing hysterically. But before Tom could crack another joke at Bill he was gone. Bill was chasing after Elle.
I HAD TO DELETE CHAPTER 8 PRETEND IT NEVER HAPPENDED K?
