I have no idea of French school system, so I can't say, but I think our system is a bit different than yours. Also it depends very much on a country in Europe. We have pretty diffferent systems all.

But hey, It's TH, so probably they just... skip the school for a week and suffer the concequenses? :laugh:

Tokio Hotel. Dear fans of Tokio Hotel.

Despite Unsuccessful concert in St. Petersburg and Moscow, according to numerous requests from fans, and the group organizer TOPconcert Tokio Hotel returned to negotiate for a concert in Russia after the European tour.

Soon to be announced new dates for performances.

A little report from Prague and queueing/camping there

Today Tokio Hotel will play in Czech Republic and fans from there are totally excited about it. But when different mentalities from different countries will meet eachother, there will be definitly problems.
Our reporter Katrin told us that there is a system of numbers in Prague which is really curious. Around the venue are hanging notes with a number you have to contact if you want to get a place on the list. Then you will receive a SMS with your personal number. But if you think fans are only showering oder eating somewhere you´re not right.

What about the remaining time? They are at home, spend the day with friends or in the hotel. Already 150 folks were at the list of numbers yesterday. But only 50 apperead to the daily check.

All that wouldn´t be a problem, if there weren´t Vanessa, who would like to attend the concert in Prag, too. She would be pleased to introduce her system to guarantee a behaved procedure. It is suggested that instead of an agreement a dispute came about. The Czechs are adamant that Vanessa receives a regular number according to her arrival time. But is that fair? Vanessa has got a bigger effort because she 's one of a few who camps in front of the concert hall.

This sounds sooooo fair.

My opinion about queues and camping is that never ever any number systems. It's all mess. If you want to camp, then camp, but prepare to be on your place for that time. Max. half an hour for bathrooms and eating etc. If you can't take it, don't go. Simple.

I understand that camping is not allowed on some concert places, but still is see it more fair than there mysterious number systems, which are so often doomed to fail and are unfair. If you want the front row, then people should be ready to work for it. Life is full of choises.

I'm sorry, this came out harsh, but spometimes I really wonder of fairness of these different systems.

Today the next concert of the “Welcome to Humanoid City Tour” is taking place in Prague, but it seems like the situation in front of the venue is anything but peaceful…

15.03.10 – CZ – Prague: In front of the venue
“Okay, that’s how it looks here right now:
The czech Fanclub hung up a slip of paper with a phone number where you could secure a number for the list via short message. Partly some people who aren’t even in prague but were sitting in front of the venue in Lodz at that time also sent a short message to this number to secure a good number on the list. When we walked off, some people from the Lodz concert arrived at the venue who are now quequeing as #35 on the list.

We’re at the venue since yesterday morning, and we were the only fans there with some other german & hungarian fans. At this point almost 400 people were on the list, but when they checked the numbers in the evening just about 50 people of those who already had a number where there for the check-up. This “check-up” only took about 3 minutes and then all of them took off again. The people who’re currently in the front of the line-up have been at the venue for about 30 minutes in the last week- in total.

About the rassism thingy:
The security is constantly shouting at us in czech and they simply refuse to talk in english with us. (which is quite amusing, because at least one of those 10 men should be able to speak a little bit english)

And the czech girls who’re responsible for the list (and who only were at the venue once on the whole day) tell them (the security) the whole time that they should take care of us, because we want to cut in line. Sure, it’s not like we’re freezing our asses off here since friday. But since the secus don’t talk to us, we can’t defend ourselves and so on…

A part of the czech fans is permanently insulting us and they’re also saying things like “The German fans don’t deserve to stand in the first row because this is a czech concert” and that people from abroad won’t be allowed into the FOS area in the venue.

Sure, not all the czech fans are like that, but those fans are the ones who’re very brash and loud and which you notice first”

But I'm so, so disappointed on a behavior of some fans. They lose it completely with this band. I can't believe the local fan club was also participating on this discrimination of foreign fans (according to Twitter at least). I would LOVE to see fans from all over the world on a same concert with me, but these... WTF? Anti-German songs and all this violence, discrimination and pure animalistic behavior? I feel embarrassed on behalf of some fans right now...

I don't think you have to worry on things like that in USA and if you are not fighting for the front row places. So I don't think there is need to worry to go to a concert. We had no problems in either one of our concerts, but I know that people first in lines have always pretty tough spot to wait because of the pushing.

I heard Perine-rumors also from one of the German-concerts (I can't remember which), but I think åpeople are seeing what they like to see. IF she is there, than I think she is breaking the law, but luckily she can do nothing stupid there... just... who is controlling those kind of distrections after all?

Yes, the US was NOT this bad. I had no problems with any of the fans. Although the venue i was at there were quite a few parents and adults around. There was no fighting.... it was a pretty tame concert...

i've never heard of reactions like this at in concerts in my area... all of this is just ridiculous -_- ... it's really p*ssing me off...

Oh good grief. I hope there is security outside. Then again it doesn't seem there is much security in that place to begin with.

I realize its not all fans from there are crazy but that kind of behavior make all of the fans from there look bad.

I worry about situations like that. Don't they realize if someone is seriously hurt at a Tokio Hotel concert will negatively affect the band's popularity and sales. If someone gets hurt parents aren't going to want their kids going to their concerts and will push them to listen to other music thus hurt all Tokio Hotel sale thus hurting the band. Thats how it happens in the USA anyway. I hope things get better but right now that doens't look likely.

Camping for Tokio Hotel

Wednesday night the German band Tokio Hotel occurs at Zenith de Lille. To be assured of having a good place, fans have pitched tents in front of the concert hall. Some have been there for two weeks.

Mina (4th right) and other fans camped for several days before the Zenith de Lille.

When we love we do not count. Including the nights in tents around the Zenith.

I think besides unfortunate (never happened) concerts in Russia and this disasterous in Prague, it has been pretty decent behavior. Of course something small happens always and I don't think it's anything new that first in a line can be prepared to be pushed against the doors when they are opened, but otherwise things have gone pretty smoothly. Only thing that it has taken usually longer than supposed to before letting people in and it has been pretty cold on many places, so that's one minus, but other than that... Relatively okay, I think. This was just something unbelievable... I can't still get over that racist attitude there. I've just always thought that this is global fandom.

They pushed elbows in my breast, they shouted at me and a girl next to me had a blue face, because she couln't breath anymore. I stood near the lattice so I screamed, "Here ist a girl. She can't breathe. She MUST go out." and the security man just looked and then he looked away again. The girl were almost busted because she can't stand on her feet anymore. I helped her and she tried to go out of the bulk - it worked. But I was still in.
The scrimmage were getting insufferable while the security began to push against the lattice. You have to imagine: I was in front of the lattice and the fans pushed from the other site, the security pushed the lattice to the other site.
At this moment I thought I will be broken soon. But I couln't cry because I was so shocked. That happend for hours.

Around 8 p.m. my face was always the pain itself. One of my legs hung between the lattice and the security, my arm between thousend of fans and I couln't move just one centimeter. I sniveld, "Please let me in. I can do anything". And the secuity man let me pass. My two friends passed just seconds after me.
In the venue I thought it would be over finally. I was in the 4th row at the catwalk. However the czech girls pushed along. They bashed their hair in my face, pushed their bags in my legs. About 8.45 p.m. I resigned and told my friend I will bunk.
I walked on the side where no one stood. And finally I took a deep breath [..]."

i don't get it either. Some fans just don't think straight when the boys are around. and some fans just aren't as logical as others. It's sad to see that some people can become so cruel over something like this... no one should get special treatment. From what I heard about this concert, girls were fighting their way to the first row. The majority of heavy pushing at TH concerts comes from the fans who are trying to get as close to the stage as they can. My TH concert was brutal because everyone was pushing, shoving, trying to get as close to the guys as they could. I left the venue in pain.

I wish that if the boys and security see the crowd behaving too wildly. They will stop the show and ask for everyone to quit acting like wild savages. Trust me, if Bill were to just stop during a song, put on his serious face. The girls will do anything he says! :laugh:

About the items being thrown on stage, there should be a rule or a limit as to what can go on stage. I've seen a girl try to throw a photo album on stage. It would have been better for her to try to get security to hand deliver the album backstage. Either allow fans to throw items on the stage after the show. That way venue staff can go pick up the stuff and deliver it to the boys. or they ask fans to give their gifts to security or any spotted TH staff. I would hate to any of the boys trip on stage because of an object that was thrown by a fan.

yes i wouldn't care about ticket sales at this point... the economy is bad almost everywhere... some fans might no be able to afford to go see them this year because of that. It doesnt necessarily mean the band is failing or the popularity is dwindling. And i dont think the guys care either... they're doing what they love to do... and that's performing and making music... and for Tom it's shacking up with a different groupie every night :laugh: ;D

If TH decides to go back and perform on Magdeburg's clubs, there will be still people all around the world. If you can't come to us, we will come to you. How many band can say that they have that priviledge of almost unconditional love than TH has and will have in a future too?

How can they expect people to pay so much money for travel food hotels for their concerts if they cancel them all the time. Well atleast they didn't wait till the last minute to cancel this one. I hope the rest of France goes equally well. I have prettty positive expectations since I hope that many of the fans are on their French tour now and filling up all the coming venues for the next few days. At least I hope so! We will see.

I don't blame the band of the cancellations. First I blame their terrible tour management, secondly the whole management, but otherwise I have no blaming for the boys. I'm d*mn sure they don't cancel concerts just for fun or tyhat they donät feel like playing. There are good reasons behind these, I'm sure, and since we don't know them, I blame a whole other people (if there is even a reason to blame someone).

Oh, and that M&G. We all know that Bill lives on candy and RedBull and occasional frozen veggie pizza :grin:

German pop act Tokio Hotel continues to have problems in the old Eastern Bloc, where an alleged combination of poor ticket sales and unreliable promoters have led to shows being moved or canceled.

Having lost Russian shows in St. Petersburg (March 8) and Moscow (March 10), where the act pulled the dates for what a note on its Web site described as “a very material contractual breach and violation by the local promoter,” it’s avoided a similar mess in The Balkans by switching its March 28 show 238 miles from Zagreb to Belgrade, Serbia.

Sol Parker of William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, who booked the act’s 32 dates across 19 European countries, had reservations about the Croatian show promoted by Marijan Crnaric and kept a hold on the same date in the Serbian capital.

Parker’s reservations turned out to be justified when Crnaric failed to come up with the deposit, although local media sources report another reason for the cancellation was that he also failed to pay the deposit on the Zagreb venue.

Crnaric’s show puzzled the Croatian media from the outset as it wasn’t clear if he was promoting it himself or on behalf of a charity organisation. The cancellation caused further confusion when the show disappeared from the Zagreb Arena Web site while tickets remained on sale.

The Dnevnik.hr news service, which was apparently deluged by calls from worried fans, suspected “something fishy” was going on and said Crnaric is known for hanging on to ticket money from canceled shows.

It cited two shows from 2004 when he was unable to make refunds on Lenny Kravitz and Metallica, with the latter making fans so angry that police had to be called in to protect box office staff.

Parker won’t comment on what went wrong with the “Welcome To Humanoid City” tour in Russia because it may be the subject of legal action. But he didn’t deny stories suggesting that Tatiana Dalskaya of Top Concerts – the band’s regular promoter in the territory – had failed to come up with any deposit payments.

Dalskaya told national newswires that she did deliver her side of the contact, although she’s not responding to Pollstar questions regarding the payment of the deposits.

“To understand what happened and why I couldn’t handle the shows, one must understand [the] Russian market as it is,” she wrote to friends and colleagues, explaining that she wanted to put across her side of the story because she thought the cancellations may be the subject of gossip at ILMC.

She’d already told RIA Novosti news service that she won’t be taking legal action against the band, which left Russia without playing and headed off to Poland and Czech Republic. She also said she’d “do her best” to ensure that all ticket-holders get a refund.

The young German pop stars did their best to appease Moscow fans who won competition prizes that included meeting the band at their hotel. They also signed autographs for the crowd that gathered on the pavement outside.

Tokio Hotel reportedly attracted about 3,000 people to the Polish show at the 10,000-capacity Lodz Arena March 14, and a similar number a day later in the Czech Republic at the 15,000-capacity Tesla Arena in Prague.

The next shows were in France at Lille, Lyon, Saint-Herblain, Nice and Marseille March 17-23.

ok so im just speculating on toms tape but what i would say is its medical adhesive tape. it appears to be the same stuff i had to use when i went back to running cross country after not training in the off-season hard enough and got shin splints which are caused by the excesses stress to ur shin after not running on them hard for a while so maybe tom has the same thing but of the fore arm instead of shin?
but if thats it, which im almost positive it is since they had a year or so where they werent preforming, it isnt serious and will pass after his muscles get used to the costant playing again.

I feel like I'm getting my tour excitement back after the disasterous week three. Thank God for France! (And I never even liked the country) :laugh:

And he had those tapes from the very beginning of the tour, way before Russia. I haven't notice any problems with his playing, but I admit that I'm a bit worried and I hope if there are any problems, he'll handle them for the rest of the tour.

Right now… my brain is melted. It feels like a dream Tokio Hotel Banana

I think what surprised me the most was actually what happened before the concert. All of the rumors about the French being rude and violent during concerts??? Those are all gone from my thinking after all of what happened in Lyon. We had great organization skills of the line thanks to Diane, and lucky for us, security decided to cooperate and went with our number system, even putting forth their effort to literally force girls who didn’t have numbers out of the line and to the back!

When 6:30 came, we had already been sitting in cramped little spaces with each other, having been sectioned off in order to keep calm throughout the line. We stood for about an hour before they finally let us in. Of course, we were told not to run, and I even got held back with a couple of other girls for doing so with the first security guys. Then came the second set, and I scuttled past them before I full out ran past the third set. They just stared at me and let me run xD lol

My first instinct was to run to Tom’s side, but then I realized that I wouldn’t get the full view of all of the boys that I wanted Tokio Hotel Banana Including Bill clad in leather x3 So I hurried on over to the catwalk and elbowed my way into the last spot.

It seemed like it took forever for the show to finally start; they played lots of music, and the fans would scream when there were long pauses. We anxiously watched as the light trusses were lowered and guys got into them. Then finally, the lights went out, but I had already been struggling to stay standing what with elbows in my back, people groping my chest and others even tried putting their knees between my legs O_o

I never thought I would UBER fangirl… but I did xD I couldn’t help but scream like I was a 14 year old girl again lol. The full egg was in view, and YES, it was completely functional! Tokio Hotel Banana

I can’t… wrap my mind around everything that happened next Tokio Hotel Banana But I remember Tom and Georg bursting from the egg to go run to their respective sides and Bill did a funky little dance with his legs Tokio Hotel Happy I don’t even know wtf it was. It was kicking and skipping and jumping all rolled into one with the flailing of his arms at the top of the catwalk.

We all said “Tom” during “Komm” and I don’t know if it was just me O_o but I think Bill started saying Tom’s name as well… V heard it too, but… I dunno xD We might be delusional lol.

The inside of the venue wasn’t as hot (nor as empty) as I thought it would be until we got the giant columns of fire. It felt like they singed my eyebrows a little lol I can only imagine how the boys felt since they were even closer to them than I was!

Bill’s lines seemed a bit rehearsed :/ But… I loved them anyway, like when he said he loved us so much and called us his aliens x3 We actually did look like aliens earlier when we were all wrapped up in space blankets to stay warm lol There were lots of shiny gold and silver foiled bodies everywhere =P

OMG Humanoid acoustic was just… Tokio Hotel Banana I thought it was really beautiful that way, and then Geisterfahrer really had my head reeling. I felt like crying xD Stupid me. I was a bit sad that I couldn’t really see anything but Tom’s face when he played piano during Zoom, but I loved the expressions that he made. He seemed really into the song. Tokio Hotel MuffinThen there was the video of the boys as they got ready to come back on stage for “Dogs Unleashed”. So cute *-* I just wanted to leap into the video to kidnap them all! So in the next song, Bill… started slapping the back of his motorbike while sort of rocking back and forth on it Tokio Hotel Banana (do I have enough of these dead icons yet?) Besides his sexy self… His eyes glowed Tokio Hotel HappyHe seemed so happy to be there! Both he and Tom spoke a little bit of French, and their smiles were so bright! I happened to catch Bill’s eyes for about ten to fifteen seconds when he came up the catwalk and stopped at the edge… I stopped singing, I was in so much awe x3

And I really love how the boys transitioned into the chorus of “Monsoon” during the instrumental of “Screamin’” before they went back into the song. Durch den Monsun was VERY strong. It reminded me of Oberhausen off of the Zimmer DVD… such nostalgia.

Gustav also seemed very happy, especially when the whole arena started shouting his name right after Tom had thrown his water bottle. Georg came out, and Gustav pointed at him, and it seemed as if everyone was confused at first lol Like they didn’t know what to say. Poor Georg Tokio Hotel Muffin But then we shouted Georg’s name before we switched back to Gustav, and he did his traditional thing that you always see him do with the fans =P I had always wanted to do that with him ever since the Zimmer tour, and I finally got my chance tonight!

And of course, they ended with “Fuer Immer Jetzt” and red and blue confetti flew everywhere. I was just… I don’t know how to explain it! But I caught a piece and tucked it into my wallet x3

I was very sad when the egg started closing and Bill’s face started to disappear D: Tom’s face was the last to go, and then the lights went out and everyone was sad ;__;

Currently, my legs hurt from standing, and my hips are bruised from sleeping on concrete for the past five days but lol… I think it was totally worth it. And not only did we get an amazing concert experience, but we got incredible memories with the fans. Two of them will be in Marseilles, but we’re going to keep in contact on Facebook now Tokio Hotel Happy We ended our farewells with a kiss to each cheek and a goodbye in French. It’s the best memory that I have so far now, and I’m so glad that this all happened in France. I never thought I could love this country, but the people here were all so kind, patient and helpful, and the Tokio Hotel concert here in Lyon will probably be my most cherished of memories.

It is. I think it is, because at leasdt in here there was a possibility to buy tickets also from the door. I wouldn't count on those rumors anymore about the sold tickets. They've been wrong before many times.

From the last picture it looked rather nice and according to twitter they are doing great there. Right now doing their acoustic part.

These pictures make me happy. It looks nice and full. I think your right about the not trusting the tickets sold numbers. They've never seemed right to me. They seemed lower than what the fan base is. Its posssible they aren't updated for last minute sales and door sales.

I think fans have had great fan actions on this tour. Or manby planms at least, because i know that not every fan action has been successful. I think these kind of things are really, really important at this point after all this drama and stress and pressure.
