Explosive News: Tokio Hotel will give a signing session in Lisbon!

Yes, you read well! Our favourite band, which has concert scheduled to Pavilhão Atlântico on the 7th April, will gift the portuguese fans with a signing session!

This will be on the day of the concert, in Media Market Benfica (next to Luz Stadium), with begining at around 5PM.

As you know many fans will camp outside Pavilhão Atlântico days before, we will try to do everything that we can so that an organization is made in order not to prejudice the fans nor their place in line.

Soon will have more news. Stay tuned!

I've always wondered, with the camping, what do they do with the tents when the shows started? Do they just leave them and come back afterwards to fetch them? These are the questions... :ugeek:

Some just leave the tents, but I think most of the people just pack them with them and take to a place, where you can leave your coats inside (I don't know the word in English). I'm not sure, but I think it goes like that. All the blankets etc. are often just trown away out there and left behind.

You don't need to camp to get in.

If you have seating tickets, you can feel safe if you come to the venue maybe 2-3 hrs before the show (usually it's good to be there around the time they open the doors. The time for that is usually marked in your ticket). If you have ticket to standing area, you can always choose how front you want to be. If it doesn't really matter, then you can show up as above, but the earlier, the better changes to get closer. The ground is usually spread in two (or more) sections and to get to the first section you... well, most likely need to camp something. Especially in Milan's case if there is a DVD recording coming. If you're lucky you might get to the first section by standing in a line for "only" maybe 8 hrs, but there is no guarantee. In Sweden basically I think all people with tickets to standing area, were in a queue about 4 hrs before the concert and it was freezing cold (minus -10 degrees and a bit windy), so I expect in Milan it is even more than that.

But keeping it short: If you have seating ticket, 2 hrs is usually enough. Same with standing if you don't mind where you are on the floor. It's quite common that majority of fans with the tickets to the ground are coming there at least 4-5 hrs before the show to ensure decent places. Front rows may need very early coming in the morning or previous day depending on ticket sales in venue. Very difficult to tell.

This is how I understood this article:

The girls camping got almost robbed one night. Also some boys threw rocks on them the other night and because of that some girls got scared and called the police. It was enough for police to get worried about their safety and in order to keep them safe, police forbid camping there. Police also took names and identities of underage campers (maybe contacted their home?).

That talk of cancelled concert concerned the previous time TH were supposed to be in Lisbon 2008, but it was that unfortunate case when Bill got sick and it was in Lisbon were TH announced the situation and cancelled the concert in a last minute. 10.46 a.m. : "I am at the signing, am here since 5 am. There are more than 200 here i am 39. Very bad organization of everything. The line people just gave their name and went away yesterday and are in front of those who slept here. You have to buy something and media market said you haven't before. And last but not least, the ****, every fan just gets an autograph from ONE band member. We enter the place where they are in groups of 4 and are lead to a member randomly by them. After your member signs, you get out. No photos, they will take our phone and all." Stern

I'm glad to hear the signing went well. If I had been in that line I would have comeout of bag on them for that only one autograph thing. I wondeer whos bright idea that was. First they appearently they delay a signing to play with the dogs. (Hearsay I know) Then this wonderful one autograph thing.... The signings don't seem to be going well do they.

Now personally I think the signing got delayed so the band decided just to keep hanging with the dogs and relaxing. Also I wonder if the band even realized the signing was being changed to one autograph. People need to get their $#!& together. They are making the band look bad.

God! I am back! and survived! 3 nights without sleep and food. The reporters got me on the video wile I was asleep. :lol: The concert was great!!! I was in the 4th row! Bill said - "What a surprise" to the public. Hes so buatiful! And Tom to ! He has orgazmic faces wile playing guitar. I got totaly wet hair from Toms water botle! Ha ha ha. He saved my life!:lol: Just what I needed. it was so hot in there. we were packed like sardines in the can!
Boys have great energy!Thay made me feel alive . OK go try to brush dreads of my hair...

05.35 p.m. : "OMG! got my autograph yay. Bill was not n tank top,but was still beautiful as always. Can't explainwhat he was wearing in english, he had a black sweater. I was able to talk to them. Awesome. Going to concert now. Happy. I love his band so much." Stern

05.45 p.m. : "Tom was wearing a black sweater and a blue scarf. The others i don't remember, was fixatedon the twins. Hehe. The table was a little wide, so they a bit away from reach. Media recorded the first 20.
They were all nice and seem happy. Bill gave a huge smile and thank you when I welcome them to Portigal. In the taxi still,almost at the venue." Stern

06.22 p.m. : "Front row, Tom's side! The crowd is mean,they are pushing a lot. The seating places are a bit empty...but could be worse" EricaCatarina

I was In Madrid concert. SO. I am super tired but feeling great. I forgot everything about signing. When I came out of concert I was like drunk. We were waiting in lines from 12 to 19 00 oklock. And I didnt sleep at all 3 nights.Some fainted. some cryed. Some screem . Some laugh. moustly laugh.
The concert went very quick to me. Cos I felt like in the dream . like It was not real . I have to have time to remember it. I was trying to catch Bills attention. Wich was very hard. Everybody whith camaras went on top of my head. And I could hardly see.Or breath. I had to be on my tips all the time. even in the 4th raw. At some point Tom and Georg wore looking straght at me. And I had to take my eyes of Bill:lol: Actually Tom is nottuff at all as Ithought before. Even cute:twisted:
I think that they had some friends on upper seats. As bill was waiving to them .
I also got Gustavs drum stic. But it was ripped of my hads to quic.And Iam not good at beeng tuff. So I ended up farther from the stage at the end of the concert.
I feel very good now that I finaly made it to a concert. Even proud. It was strenous .

There is absolutely nothing wrong in Gusti! When I watched that Viva-interview, I honestly wanted to slap that person who asked that. It was rude and stupid question and without any point.

I also want to slap twins occasionally because of that. I could make lot of comments on their physical appearance too, but I really don't see any point to go through every person with a microscope. Twins are skinny and whether or not bIll admits it, he is visibly underweight. How much it annoys him that people call him anorexic? If so, then he should keep his mouth shut on other people... And it's not solely haters. I showed my friends Maldives pics of the twins. They don't hate TH, they don't know much about them, so they have no other opinion than what they see. Their immediate reaction on BIll's pics was: anorexic! How about that, Bill?

Besides Gustav isn't fat at all. Ugh.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in Gusti! When I watched that Viva-interview, I honestly wanted to slap that person who asked that. It was rude and stupid question and without any point.

I also want to slap twins occasionally because of that. I could make lot of comments on their physical appearance too, but I really don't see any point to go through every person with a microscope. Twins are skinny and whether or not bIll admits it, he is visibly underweight. How much it annoys him that people call him anorexic? If so, then he should keep his mouth shut on other people... And it's not solely haters. I showed my friends Maldives pics from the twins. They don't hate TH, they don't know much about them, so they have no other opinion than what they see. Their immediate reaction on BIll's pics was: anorexic! How about that, Bill?

Besides Gustav isn't fat at all. Ugh.

I think Bill has gained some compared to last autumn. He was very thin back then and he is still, but I think he has gained maybe around 5kg or even more?

Tom had his black season and as spring comes, comes colors again on Tom's garderobe. I don't mind, he seems to look good in any color.

I understand disappintment, I do. I would have been disappoiinted, but get over it, d*mnit! Sometimes things like this happens, they can't get everywhere, they get tired, there can be various reasons and after 2 months of this... Well, sometimes it just goes like this. Grow up! You can sulk and be sad and angry, I think it's okay, but you DO NOT go to the concert and boo to them because of that. Ugh! Funny thing is that they apparently still love the band and all, but they want to boo to the because of this hotel inciodent. Like this tour hasnät had enough drama already? Why try to intentionally make people feel bad now? I hope that is just couple of fans acting ridiculous and eventually nothing even happenms in a concert.

About Gordon...I don't think there has been any discussion about that? Seems like he is taking care of the dogs, walking them etc. so maybe Gordon is their official "dog nanny"? :grin: It would make sense since he is familiar with the dogs and it's always good to the dogs that it's someone they know. Obviously the boys can't take them out like Gordon can walk them.

As some of you might have read, TH has specifically asked for the fans to participate on official events and not hang around hotels and follow them in Taiwan. This can be read in a thread from a rumor mill. At least that's how I undersood it.

Looks like to be that the boys are really getting tired of people contantly following them around when ever they stick their nose out of the door. Just like this hotel-thing where fans are camping outside their hotels and demand attention everytime the boys come and go. I feel kind of sad about it. They must be really tired of it by now, but I don't know what to do about it? Seems like people keep doing that, no matter what. If you ignore them (like in Rome), they get angry and upset and plan on booing for them etc. Is it reasonable anymore? On the other hand these same people are the ones, who buy the albums. Should the conversation of their privacy and free time start again in this fandom? I really don't know... But I bet TH is pulling more and more strict line in a future on these and fans better use to it.

I also think that covering their faces lately has something to do with this.

I know it must be very stressful to have the fans follow you everywhere, but isn't that what most bands go through, especially when they're on tour? I think it's just something they have to put up with. They went into this career and this is what happens. Getting angry and not smiling or greeting the fans because of it is just silly because this is normal lifestyle for bands on tour, and the boys should be able to handle it.

No, the boys shouldn't have to tolerate annoying fan behavior. They've spoiled the fandom long enough and I think the band is trying to cutback on the hotel signing meetings. They are sending a message to their fans.

It's one thing to camp outside a concert venue days before a show. But, it's a completely different matter to the do the same outside a hotel. The first makes complete sense. The second is completely dumb and a waste of time.

No, the boys shouldn't have to tolerate annoying fan behavior. They've spoiled the fandom long enough and I think the band is trying to cutback on the hotel signing meetings. They are sending a message to their fans.

It's one thing to camp outside a concert venue days before a show. But, it's a completely different matter to the do the same outside a hotel. The first makes complete sense. The second is completely dumb and a waste of time.

Yep. At the same time I understand that fans want to see them and are used to have their attention everywhere they go. Literally EVERYWHERE. I don't know any other celebrity of that caliber and so many fan contacts, who meet their fans every single time. I've understood that usually it's all about luck with big stars if they want to say hi to you outside actual events like at the hotels. TH is expected to do that every time... and it comes more and more clear to me that they try to turn it down a bit. I think maybe now we as fans should start to think if we'd give them that. I understand both here, but maybe... maybe this is about to change?

Seriously... Bill is kinda freaking me out with that thing that he wore in his left arm when they went to Lisbon... and he's always so fudging serious. I don't know them for a long time but i've seen older pics and Bill was always the one who was always smilling and all the fans wanted him (like photos in the M&G) and Tom was always a bit more serious and kinda second choice (if you know what i mean). And now, it's exactly the opposite... at least is what i think... :neutral:

I disagree. I don't think this fandom is acting spoilt. I think this fandom is acting like a fandom. All fandoms of large stars act like this. I do mean all too. People cry and boo at every award show when their star skips the red carpet. Its just a fact of life as a star or fan. I don't think its fair to get so mad at people for being human. If you wait for hours to meet someone you can't meet anywhere else then you don't get to meet them, you get upset. Seeing them in concert isn't like getting to see them upclose. Fans have mobbed hotels since the beginning of music. Have you ever watched TMZ? Everytime you see a big star on there they have camera and fans and autograph seekers around even if they are just getting their nails done. If the stars don't sign then they are called out for being mean. No one gets mad at the fans for being upset. It happened to the Twilight stars when they started skipping autographs just to name one. Its a fact of life for a celebrity. You can't say you love hearing screaming girls around you and you love your fans then tell them to leave you alone if its not an offical event.

As for the band. I don't think they are being bad stars for going out the back. Thats normal. Most stars do that. Its safer. Maybe they were running late and didn't have time to sign autographs.

Emotions run high at these things. As much joy as they get from seeing the band they can get equally disappointed from not seeing them. Its just human nature.

not every fandom is like TH's fandom's. You don't wait hours for someone when you were never asked nor encouraged to wait for that person. If you do it anyway under the assumption that you will meet the person you've been waiting for and you don't. You don't have a right to complain.

When it comes to tour season. The only expectations we should have as fans is that TH will arrive at the venue and have a kick axx show. That's it. Anything else is optional.

I know all about TMZ and most the celebs the photogs mob are ****** at having their privacy invaded. Some can't even walk down the street and have an honest convo with their friends w/o cameras capturing their every move. When it comes to TH, they do not have a TMZ following their every move. They have obsessed fans keeping watch 24/7. I think with TMZ they take breaks. TH fans never take breaks.

I do think TH has every right to place boundaries and limits on how they want to be treated by their fans. The guys should be left alone if they are seen walking to their hotel, walking to a coffee shop to get some drinks, shopping at a boutique, taking a stroll by the beach and etc.... And, I know that will never happen. For the most part, the fans don't seem to want to give the guys their space. Just because the guys say they love screaming girls at concerts doesn't mean they appreciate the same behavior when they are seen off work.

I think TH can blame partly themselves on this current sirtuation, where they want to/have to turn down the outside public events-hysteria. Althought I underrstand how great it must have been for teenage boys for the first 2 years, so I can't actually blame them, but I have to agree that TH-fans are used to be treated quite nicely by the band. It's difficult to suddenly start to take something away - whatever was the reason. I think maybe TH should stop encouraging that kind of fan behavior? But...how do you separate fan behavior on conmcerts and on the streets? For the good part, I think the stalkerism outside their homes etc. has decreased after Aghans-incodent a year ago and fandom has put some boundaries to the appropriate behavior. Majority go by those rules and it's a good thing. Just that I see TH decreasing unofficial fan contacts even more in a future.

I'm reading the comments about the concert in Rome, and everyone is saying it was fantastic! Fans were crazy, in the best way, Bill and the others saying "crazie mille" all the time, having a great time with the sold-out arena. I'm very glad. :D

Almost every fan would either run up to them, stare at them until they're out of sight, or take out a cell phone and start snapping a pic.

We would love them to have the privacy, but I doubt there's a single person here who would turn the other cheek if TH were to be standing a few feet away from them.

I think you're both right and they will never be totally ignored (aqnd as celebrities they can't), but some turn down is okay. Sure, people will stare and maybe occasionally ask for autograph or picture, but hysteric screaming and demanding of attention everywhere is a whole other thing IMO. Somewhere in between total ignore and hysteria could be reasonable place to be.

Yes, I would leave them alone. Of course, I'd stare a bit! But, I wouldn't invade their privacy by asking them do something for me. I've seen the guys up close more than once. I'm at the point where it's not that big of a deal anymore. What I care for the most is going to concerts/TH events and winning a meet/greet! :lol:

another thing, a girl has got to be smart. if she were to ever find herself in the same establishment as TH or be in the same spot at an open area. she shouldn't just throw herself at the guys and risk turning them off. A) Stare like this :shock: for hours after they had left.

I would have to do a double take if I saw them here. I'm literally in the middle of my state, and there is NOTHING here except for an amazing college basketball team, one of the biggest malls in America, and that's all half an hour south of me. Not to mention that if any of the four gentlemen were seen in Syracuse, they would probably get shot/stabbed just for the way they dress. Especially Tom. But I hope I get to go to a meet and greet one day, I really want to put my no underwear plan into action :laugh:

I think that Bill has actually had a bit tough time during Humanoid M&G's. He's used to be the center of the attention and suddenly it isn't that clear anymore. Tom has seriously taken lots of girls on his side on those picture. Over and over again we see either neutral pics or pics where the girls lean on Tom instead of Bill. Bill is awkward on those situations, it's true.

G's have... well, their role is quite interesting. I feel bad, but I try to see it as that they have lot more of something twins don't and that's freedom. They hardly ever get critizism like twins do, they are not bothered like twins are. There is always two sides. But I understand your point.

Personally, I would never do that. the guys are strangers to me and I don't go up to someone I don't know, who doesn't know me and touch them like that. it's invasion of private space.

But, the band is used to girls randomly touching them when they see the opportunity to do it.

I think the boys can't really do anything. Their only option is to tolerate, because any other reaction would hurt the girl's feelings and get half of the fandom mad. It would, I honestly think so. So Bill has to be polite and tolerate.

How much he is okay with it, we can never know. They are used to it, though, but still...does it make it okay? Maybe it does, I don't know.

I still think it's awkward.

It may be awkward but there are worse things in the world than being hugged. Unless the girl has lice or a weird disease. Or smells bad or is ugly. Or you don't like being touched. Or they squeeze you too hard. Or dig their nails in you. Oh God my poor Billa!

I wonder what the line is for personal space. I mean I know what my bounderies are but what about someone elses. Some people don't even like to shake hand. Other people love to hug everyone all the time. Some people think its ok and even funny to slap someone on the butt. Others don't think its that hilarious. I just wonder if maybe these fans are respecting the personal boundaries they have believing they are the same for everyone. Sometimes people assume if they are ok with something everyone else is too. That goes 2 ways too. Sometimes you think something may bother someone because it would bother you but really it doesn't bother them at all. God this is a complicated issue.

i guess u can't do it at signings b/c the bodyguards are right there making sure no one over steps the boundary. but..when the fans go up to take pics with the boys...where are the bodyguards? they are never in the shots standing right next to the guys to make sure nothing bad happens. That gives fans a little bit more freedom to do something than if they were at a signing.

Being hugged isn't the worst thing in the world. Its nice to know people care for you. I always think of it as maybe the person needs to feel loved. I'd never denie someone love if its just a hug.
