I've had this idea floating around in my mind since January, and I finally began to write it down. *is proud of herself*

This ficcie is based on the songs "The Way She Feels" by Between The Trees, "Dark Blue" by No Doubt, and "A Time For Yohe" by Between The Trees.

Prologue

"We die when love is dead."

“You’re fourteen. How can you possibly know what love is?” Steevie asked, peering over the rim of her glasses to stare at her sister. She twisted the key in the doorknob and swung open the door, not once taking her hazel eyes off of Camilla. Camilla gulped and averted her gaze from Steevie’s stare to the carpet floor as she walked in the front door.

“I–I don’t know, it’s just this feeling I get whenever I think about him...” Camilla stammered, the words tumbling out of her mouth. Steevie looked at her for a long while before shrugging and muttering incoherently. Camilla quickly began to make her way to the bedroom she shared with her twin sister Fiona in an effort to avoid any further questions from Steevie.

As she approached the door, she heard moans of pleasure emanating from the room. Camilla’s eyes widened and she killed the dirty thoughts floating around in her brain. Fiona is probably just watching a movie and there’s a sex scene, she told herself. That was logical. Yup, Fiona’s only watching a movie, she decided.

Camilla flung open the door and her jaw fell to the floor when the events going on in the bedroom reached her eyes. The boy she had been talking about being in love with only moments earlier with her older sister was on top of her twin, naked, his lips attached to her neck. “OH MY GOD!” Fiona screamed, pushing Riley onto the floor. He pulled a blanket off the bed and wrapped it over his nude body, Fiona doing the same. “Camilla! This isn’t what it looks like!”

Angry tears filled Camilla’s eyes and she fought to hold them back. “This isn’t what it looks like?” she hissed through clenched teeth. “My sister wasn’t having sex with my boyfriend?” Fiona was silent for a moment, then hung her head, knowing she was defeated.

Camilla turned to Riley. She slapped him across the face and pushed him against the nearest wall. “You said you loved me.” She began to beat Riley furiously; well, as furiously as a short, somewhat chubby girl with barely any strength could manage. “I trusted you. I told you all of my secrets, and you cheat on me with my twin sister?!?”

“It’s not his fault!” Fiona interrupted. “I forced myself onto him, and we got lost in the heat of the moment, and then you found us...” “I don’t care.” Camilla’s eyes burned with rage. “Both of you can go to ****!” She turned sharply on her heel and stomped out of the bedroom.

Anyone want me to continue?

Chapter One

"Don&#39;t tell me cos it hurts."

Three Years Later

Camilla awakened to the feeling of the toe of a boot stabbing her repeatedly in the gut. Frowning, she forced her eyes open and sat up. She looked up and met her twin’s gaze. Fiona’s face was scarlet and her chocolate brown eyes were tightened, which was a sure sign that she was angry; no, furious.

She swiftly kicked Camilla in the stomach once more, making her double over in pain. “How dare you, Camilla!” she screeched. “I can’t believe you!” Camilla stared at Fiona confusedly. “What the **** are you talking about? What did I do?”

Wide awake from the kick in her belly, Camilla noticed her surroundings and realized what she had done. She sighed heavily and leaned against the toilet. “YOU RUINED OUR BIRTHDAY PARTY, CAMMY!” Fiona roared. “You forced your friends to sneak in beer so you could get drunk! LIKE EVERY NIGHT!”

“Not every night,” Camilla protested. “Just every other night.” Ignoring her, Fiona continued with her yelling. “You got wasted and embarrassed both of us in front of all our friends! YOU WERE HAVING SEX WITH SOME RANDOM GUY ON THE FLOOR IN THE LIVING ROOM!” Camilla thought Fiona would explode from anger, and giggled at her, but Fiona didn’t notice. “AND EVERYONE WAS WATCHING! GOD, YOU’RE SUCH AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THIS FAMILY!”

Fiona regained her composure and patted her hair down. “You better go thank Steevie; she was nice enough to hold back your hair whenever you were puking your guts out.” She walked out and slammed the bathroom door, leaving Camilla alone in her thoughts.

“Such an embarrassment to this family,” Cammy repeated to herself. She sighed. “I know I am.”

Chapter Two

"I&#39;m a thousand miles away and I&#39;m out of oxygen."

“You have got to be *****ting me,” Tom grumbled as he stumbled through the front door into the small apartment. “Is anyone even home?” Bill called out. “I’m here, I’m here!” A short, petite woman with messy gray hair ran as fast as her tiny legs could take her over to the twins. Tom stared at the woman in shock. “You’re our Aunt Lydia?” he asked in disbelief. The woman, Lydia, nodded. “Yes, I am!” she said. Her voice was high-pitched and had a hint of a German accent in it, proving that she was indeed the Kaulitz twins’ aunt and that she had lived in Germany many years ago.

“I’m go glad you’re here, boys!” Lydia exclaimed. “Well, we’re not,” Bill mumbled under his breath, looking around the cluttered apartment and frowning deeply. “Remind me why we’re here again,” Tom commanded, rubbing his forehead. Bill sighed. “Because we made the mistake of telling Mom we needed a break from Tokio Hotel, so she shipped us off to New York to stay with an aunt we never knew we had.”

“Let me show you to your rooms,” Lydia said, leading them to a hidden hallway. She pointed to two rooms at the far end of the hall. “You can pick which one you want.” With that, she turned around and left, leaving the twins to unpack their belongings and get settled.

“I can’t believe Mom forced us to come here,” Bill groaned to himself, tossing his suitcase on the bed. He trudged over to the window and looked out, watching people walk down the sidewalk. A girl with auburn hair stumbled drunkenly through the street, her clothes barely covering her body and her legs walking every which way except a straight line. She screamed random things, and Bill tried to decipher what she was saying, though her speech was slurred. “I’m not an embarrassment!” she yelled to no one. People stared at her as they went past, giving her odd looks.

“I’m not an embarrassment!” she repeated. Bill thought otherwise. “I’m just...uh...confused!” She fell to her knees and threw up the contents of her stomach. Bill looked away in disgust. He closed the window and fell onto the bed. “Not an embarrassment indeed,” he muttered sarcastically.

Chapter Three

"The innocent can never last."

Camilla, so drunk that it took her nearly twenty minutes to open the door, ran into the living room and fell onto the floor. Steevie gave her a questioning look and then scowled. “******, Cammy,” she groaned, taking her little sister’s arms and dragging her into the bathroom.

Steevie held back her hair as Camilla stuck her face into the toilet bowl and vomited. Normally this would disgust Steevie, but she was used to it; she had been doing this for half a year now. “God, are you ever sober, Cammy?” Camilla responded by retching, the beer she consumed a few hours earlier spilling out of her mouth. “I suppose not,” Steevie said, answering her own question. She sighed. “You really need to lay off the alcohol.”

“I know, I know,” Camilla told her, reaching for a towel and using it to wipe her mouth. “You drink like a f**king man, Cammy,” Steevie said. “How does your little body hold so much alcohol?” Camilla shrugged. Hearing her twin’s retching, Fiona walked into the bathroom and sighed. “My God, I just woke you up off the bathroom floor this morning!” she exclaimed. “AND YOU’RE DRUNK AGAIN?!?” “Oh, shut up, Fifi,” Steevie demanded. Soberer than before but still drunk, Camilla giggled. “Yeah! Shut up, Fifi.” Fiona glared at her. “You know Steevie is the only person that can call me that, and that’s only because she’s three years older than us.” “Yeah, but I’m eight minutes older than you,” Camilla pointed out. “So that gives me a right to call you that too.”

Fiona rolled her eyes. “Just shut it, Cammy. You’re obviously too drunk to hold a proper conversation with someone.” “Oh yeah? Too drunk to hold conversations with people, like you did with Riley?” Fiona’s eyes tightened; she was getting mad. “Don’t talk about him, Camilla.” Camilla stood up, trying not to fall over and was somehow successful. “I can talk about him if I want to, Fifi.” “DON’T CALL ME THAT!” Camilla smirked; she was ******* Fiona off, and that made her happy. “Make me.” Fiona stomped on her twin’s foot, and ran out of the bathroom.

Sighing, Steevie stood up and looked at Camilla. “When are you two going to work out this whole Riley situation? It’s been three years, ******. You should be over it now.” “Well I’m not!” Camilla snapped. “And never!” With that, Camilla kneeled over the toilet and finished emptying her stomach.

Chapter Four

"You came in with the breeze on Sunday morning."

Camilla walked through the busy streets of New York City, lost in her cluttered thoughts. A chilly breeze swept past her, and she shivered, cursing herself for not bringing a jacket. She stared at the sidewalk as she walked so the wind wouldn’t whip across her face and freeze it.

“Oof!” She stumbled backward, looking up to see the person she crashed into, a girl with blonde-streaked black hair. Her heavily eye-lined eyes glared at her. Camilla scowled. “Sorry, excuse me, miss,” she apologized coldly. The girl’s frown deepened. “No, excuse me.” Camilla’s eyebrows raised in surprise; her voice was too deep to be a girl’s. She squinted, looking closer at the person. “Are you a boy?” she blurted, then inwardly scolding herself for being rude.

“Yes,” the person answered. “And no, I’m not gay!” he added, reading Cammy’s thoughts. Camilla nodded, and began to walk away, but the boy suddenly pulled her back. “I know you!” he exclaimed. Her eyebrows reached her forehead once more. “Really?” she asked in disbelief. The boy nodded. “Yeah, you were drunk and stumbling through the street yesterday and I was in my apartment watching you.” His eyes widened as he finished his sentence, realizing that he shouldn’t have said that.

Camilla’s face burned with anger and she was shaking uncontrollably. It took every drop of strength she had not to beat the ***** out of the boy, right there on the sidewalk in the middle of New York City with everyone watching. The boy’s face flushed red with embarrassment. “Oh mein gott, I didn’t mean that, I mean I did but I shouldn’t have said that, I’m awfully sorry...” he stammered. “Shut. Up,” Camilla hissed through clenched teeth. She stomped away, mumbling profanities under her breath. “I’M BILL, BY THE WAY!” the guy called after her. Turning around, she gave him the middle finger and replied, “I DON’T CARE, DIP*****!” She then continued her walk to God knows where, not paying any attention to Bill, who was screaming after her.

Chapter Five

"She smokes like an amethyst, she&#39;s moving her way through my skin."

Hearing footsteps behind her, Camilla whirled around and gave Bill a look that clearly said “go to hell”. “Stop following me, a$shole,” she demanded. Bill looked hurt, but Camilla didn’t give a rat’s ***. “Turn around and go home before I call the police and tell them you’re stalking me!” she threatened.

Bill decided to give in, but only on one condition. “Fine. But before I go, tell me your name.” “Why would you want to know?” Bill said nothing, he just stared at Camilla, waiting for an answer. Wanting to get this guy off her back, she sighed and told him her name. He smiled and repeated her name to himself. “Camilla...that’s a very pretty name. It suits you, for you are a pretty girl.” “I know,” Cammy replied, tossing her hair over her shoulder. People had always told her and Fiona that they were the world’s most gorgeous twins, and after fifteen years of this, Camilla didn’t thank the person anymore, she simply responded, “I know.”

“Where are your manners?” Bill asked, smirking. Camilla frowned. “Not with me, obviously.” She glanced at her watch. “Look, I don’t have time for this. Go away.” “Okay.” Bill shook Camilla’s hand. “It was nice to meet you, Camilla.” He turned around and left. Cammy stared after him for a while and then glanced at the hand that he had shook. “Freak,” she grumbled to herself, beginning to walk home.

Camilla sang to herself as she made her way home. “So different, yet so the same, two sisters only have their parents to blame...” She stopped singing, realizing that the lyrics described her relationship with her twin. She smiled, happy with herself for discovering this, and continued her singing. “It’s rare that two can get along, but when they do, they’re inseparable. Such a blessing comes to few...”

Arriving at her destination, Camilla shut up and opened the front door to her house. She was greeted by Shelby, her best friend. “Shelby!” she exclaimed, throwing herself against her friend. Shelby didn’t hug her back though, and Cammy knew something was up. “Shelbs? Is something wrong?” “Erm, kind of...”

Chapter Six

"This is the most craziest ***** ever."

“Tell me what’s wrong,” Camilla demanded. Shelby hesitated, contemplating whether to answer her friend or not. “TELL ME!” “Fine,” Shelby sighed. “Riley’s moving back to New York.”

Camilla’s jaw dropped to the floor. “Are you kidding me?!?” she cried. Shelby shook her head. “No. He called me personally and told me this morning.” Camilla’s mind raced with questions. “When is he coming back?” “Tomorrow.” “TOMORROW?!?” she screamed. Tears filled her eyes and she stomped her feet. Shelby wrapped her arms around her small frame, pulling her into a warm embrace.

After that day three years ago whenever Cammy found Riley f**king her sister, she, of course, dumped him, but he started dating Fiona. This crushed Camilla, to have her twin sister do that to her. About a year after this happened, Riley impregnated Fiona and he fled to Florida, leaving Fiona back in New York with their baby. Everyone in Camilla’s family helped Fiona with her baby, except for Cammy. This is why Fiona was such a ****** to Camilla, because she didn’t love her baby, she looked at with disgust in her eyes.

“Why is Riley even coming back?” Cammy mumbled, wiping away a few tears. Shelby shrugged. “He said he ‘missed you and Fiona’.” “I don’t believe me.” “Neither do I.” “HE’S COMING BACK?!?” Fiona, who had been secretly listening to their conversation, shrieked. She didn’t wait for them to answer. “Oh my God, oh my God! I HAVE TO PROTECT LUCILLE!” She raced upstairs to the nursery to guard her baby.

Camilla sighed and rubbed her temples. “What am I going to do?” she asked Shelby. “I don’t know, Cam,” Shelby replied.

Chapter Seven

"Just tell yourself, ah, I&#39;ll be okay."

Camilla and Fiona sat on the couch, squeezing each other’s hands and shaking uncontrollably. The sisters couldn’t control their tears, and were sobbing so hard their bodies were rocking. “He’s coming back, he’s coming back,” Fiona mumbled to herself over and over again. “What if hurts my Lucille?” Ignoring Fiona’s question, Camilla spoke softly to herself. “What if Riley hurts me again, like he used to? I can’t deal with any more of his crap.”

Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door, and the twins screamed in agony, like they were being tortured. They sat very still on the couch, hoping their visitor would leave, but he didn’t. “OPEN THE DOOR!” he screamed. “I KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE!” Hearing the knocks, Steevie descended down the stairs and flung open the door. She glared at Riley fiercely. “Do you need something, kind sir?” she asked coldly. Riley smirked. “Yes, I do. I’d like to speak to those lovely ladies,” he replied, motioning towards Cammy and Fifi. The twins, locked in a strong embrace, squeezed each other even tighter, nearly snapping one another’s spines in half.

“Why the worried faces, girls?” Riley asked, his voice dripping with forced sweetness. “You know why, you scumbag,” Fiona answered. Riley’s face twisted in fake hurt. “You really think I’m a scumbag?” The girls nodded. He began to walk toward them, but Steevie grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. “Sorry, but if you want to speak to them, you must stay right here.” Sighing, Riley nodded his head and turned to the twins.

“I really did miss you two,” he said. “Fiona, I’m sorry for leaving you after I found out you were pregnant. That was really immature of me, and I just wasn’t ready to be a father...” He trailed off, and then smiled. “But now I’m more than willing to accept responsibility for my actions and help raise our child.”

Camilla noticed Fiona’s chocolate brown eyes soften. Oh *****, she thought. Fiona’s not really going to fall for his tricks, is she?? Answering Cammy’s question, Fiona peeled herself off the couch and skipped merrily over to Riley. She gently hugged him, then reached up and kissed his cheek. “I forgive you, love.”

Riley grinned widely, and then averted his gaze to Camilla. “Cam, I’m really, really sorry for leading you on when we were younger. That was wrong of me to hurt you like that. And I also apologize for being an *** to you before I left for Florida.” Camilla stared at the man for the longest while, before slowly standing up and walking over to him. Lifting her leg, she kicked him in the balls and jumped backward so he could double over in pain. “Take that ‘apology’ AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ***!” she hissed before turning, and marching upstairs to her bedroom.

"Nothing good can come of this."

Slamming her bedroom door and locking it, Camilla flung herself on her mattress and sobbed into her favorite fuzzy blue pillow. “I thought he was finally gone,” she said softly to herself. “I thought he would never come back, and that he would never torture me again. How wrong I was.”

There was a loud knock on the door. “Cammy! Please, open up!!! I want to talk to you!” “F**K OFF, RILEY!!!” Camilla screeched at the top of her lungs. “DON’T YOU KNOW I HATE YOU, OR ARE YOU SO F**KING RETARDED YOU CAN’T TELL?!?” Riley went silent, and Cammy knew he was trying not to chuckle. “Go away, assmonkey,” she commanded loudly, but more quietly. Riley tried to suppress a laugh, but was unsuccessful. “Assmonkey?” he repeated. “YES, ASSMONKEY! YOU ARE A GODD*MN ASSMONKEY!”

“Camilla! DON’T TALK TO RILEY LIKE THAT!” Fiona yelled through the door. Camilla rolled her eyes and replied, “He’s a big boy, he can stand up for himself. So shut the f**k up, Fifi.” She emphasized Fiona’s nickname, smirking to herself. “DON’T CALL ME THAT!” Fiona roared. The fight was interrupted by Lucille’s wailing, and Cammy heard footsteps run off to the baby’s room.

Slowly Camilla rolled out of her bed and made her way to the door, opening it cautiously. Surprised to see Riley standing there, her eyes widened and she tried to slam the door, but he caught it. He flung it open, causing Cammy to lose her balance and fall backward. Closing the door and locking it behind him, Riley then turned to Camilla. She tried to peel herself on the floor, but Riley pushed her down again and pinned her to the carpet with his strong arms.

“Riley...” Camilla breathed. “Please. Don’t.” “Oh, Cammy. I have to. I’ve been away from you for far too long...” His breath ghosted over her neck, and she shivered. “GET OFF ME!” she hissed fiercely, using all of her strength to try to wriggle out from under his body. “DON’T YOU F**KING TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!” Riley screamed, punching Camilla in the face. She winced in pain, but he didn’t care, he continued to remove her clothes. “Riley...don’t...stop!” Cammy demanded as he unhooked her bra and tossed it aside. “Make me, Camilla. I dare you to.”

No! Camilla shouted in her head. Not this torture again!

Chapter Nine

"I gotta go, she blows my brains out."

As soon as Riley climbed off of Camilla, she leaped off the floor and began slipping her clothes over her body. Riley reached over and patted Camilla on the head gently. “That was good. You didn’t protest as much as usual.” She shot him a death look. Riley smirked. “That look turns me on, you know.” He winked. “I might just come back for more later.”

He left, closing the bedroom door. Camilla sat on the floor, staring into space as she let the familiar feeling of disgust, pain, and hate take over her. “I can’t take much more of this,” she whispered to no one. Standing and walking over to her dresser, she searched for her beloved razorblade and sliced it across her left wrist when she found it. Camilla watched as ruby red blood spilled out of the cut, dripping onto the carpet. She wrapped her wrist in gauze that she found in the bathroom, and then headed down to the bar, the one place where she could forget about everything and everyone just for a little while.



Upon entering the bar, Camilla immediately heard a familiar voice. “I thought I’d find you here.” Her muscles tensed up, but then relaxed as the voice’s body stepped out from behind a shadow. She breathed a sigh of relief, but then her mood turned sour. “What are you doing here, Bill?” she snapped. Bill smirked as he replied, “I’m not really sure. You simply, erm...fascinate me.”

Camilla raised her eyebrows. “Dude, you barely even know me,” she remarked. “Now move.” She shoved him aside and took a seat at the bar. “Aye, Cam,” the bartender greeted her. “Hey, Oliver.” “Your usual?” Camilla nodded as the bartender slid a glass of some kind of alcohol down the bar. Bill watched as she gulped it down, then another and another and another.

“Come on,” Bill suddenly ordered as Cammy began to feel tipsy. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing, dude?” she demanded as Bill pulled her off the stool and dragged her out the door. “I ain’t even drunk yet!” “Exactly the point,” Bill hissed in her ear. “You say you’re an embarrassment to your family, don’t you? I’m just trying to be nice and get you out of here before you get wasted and embarrass yourself further.” Camilla pulled her arm away from his grasp and shot daggers at him with her eyes. “I’m a big girl, you know. I can take care of myself, thank you very much.”

“Yes, well, you’re coming back to my apartment with me,” Bill said, once again grabbing Camilla’s arm firmly and leading her down the street. “I’m not going to be your one-night stand,” Cammy said. “I know you’re not. I just want to make sure you don’t sneak off to the bar again. Drinking as much alcohol as you do is not healthy.” Bill looked her over, his heart aching slightly as he took in her appearance; her eyes were bloodshot and purple bags rested under them, she was weak and pale, and there were several black bruises covering her body. “Plus, you look like you could get away from whatever you’re dealing with. That’s why you go to the bar so much, right?”

Camilla nodded hesitantly. Suddenly her eyes filled with fear, and she shriveled away from Bill. “You’re...you’re not going to hurt me, are you?” she asked, her voice quiet as she thought of the incident with Riley earlier that day. It nearly killed Bill to see this girl look so fragile and broken, and he loosened his grip on her arm. “No. I promise I wouldn’t ever hurt you.”
