The advertising slogan says: For what the commotion? There are still 250.000 other hotels.

It's an advertising campaign with Rudi Assauer, Sonya Kraus and Bill for HRS ["Hotel Reservation Service"]. The advertisement poster with Bill will hang in 3000 train stations in Austria and Germany!

The hotel advertises portal HRS with celebrity support. Bill Kaulitz, singer of Tokio Hotel, the TV host Sonya Kraus and the ex-Schalke manager Rudi Assauer are the faces of the nationwide out-of-home campaign. In parallel, the Cologne-based company launches a new corporate design.

The motifs with the slogan "I reservieHRS" are to refrain from immediately on Mega-Lights and Maxipostern in railway stations and places in eleven German cities. The show is about to be extended with additional celebrities. Lukas Lindemann Rosinski for the creation of feature in Hamburg and Berlin in Metadesign responsible.

"Our ultimate goal is to increase brand awareness with the campaign of HRS on. At the same time we want the brand with HRS emotionally stronger and more effectively differentiate ourselves in the competitive environment", so Tobias Ragge, Managing Director of HRS.

In addition to the advertising HRS Flight presents its new corporate design and a newly defined corporate identity. The logo, which will now appear clearer and fresher, with the slogan "The hotel portal" focuses on the core competence of the Cologne company.

Okay, I start to dig this maybe too deep and symbolism is not exactly my strongest firls, but... let's pretent those items are not random, but more like carefully chosen.

483 is clear. But other than that the seöection feels quite dark, mysterious, almost fantasy-like. Not real, not from this world, but something to tease our imagination, to play with extremely, treat, darkness, danger. There's nothing really...cheerful or light. More like heavy, gloomy, distantly out of this world atmosphere. The dinosaur reminds me of dragon. Subcultures, forbidden maybe?

On a first picf Bill's pose was more like dreamy, not direct contact with camera. It was beautiful, safer, calm somehow. Someone said it reminded of afterglow of the big O. His fingers on his thigh was sensual. In here the contact to the camera is direct. He plays not only with camera, but openly sexual to the person watching the poster. It's not really teasing anymore, the look, the expression, the pose, the atmosphere gives me the sense of I-don't-give-a-f*ck-because-I-know-you-want-me-to-f*ck-you. It's very straightforwad, arrogant, almost exhibionistic.

How the items and Bill's pose are connected? I might think (I'm not sure yet) that the whole picture sumbolizes the moster, the dark side, the dreamland, "the land of lust and temptations and forbidden and fantasy".

I don't know.... I love to over analyze and dig too deep, but that's how I see it even if I know it's most likely not meant to be anythuing like that :)

I really think Bill should do more modeling. Not only his body and bonestrukture are PERFECT for certain type of pics, but he is versatile enough to go from innocent, joyful pics to mindblowing sensual and openly sexual, dark pics. Bill has his own limits and he is not the guy for average catalogue-modeling, but certain type of pictures he has everything. It's like.... The dinosaur is Godzilla so that's a symbol for Japan / Tokio.

And Godzilla stands on a Manga. So more Japanese symbols.

Some of you might know that I can come up with way more graphic and twisted thoughts than I've done here. I hope I can keep my words in order here and I'm sorry if I sometimes cross the line. I try to keep it PG13, anyways. I admit: I find the boys sexually very attractive young men and with pictures like this it's inevitable that I get thoughts not suitable here. By that I never ever mean to disrespect the boys, insult them or intrude to their privacy or sexuality. We all see them and pictures etc. differently and that's okay. I don't - however - want to start cencoring myself completely and I hope it's okay for everyone that I sometimes voice out in PG13-way that I'm tempted. Based on Bill's poses starting from last autumn, I'd say that if he willingly does these kind of poses, I'm sure he is okay with giving sexual thoughts to people. It's true that they are representing Germany. If a celeb comes from America, it's not mentioned in a way how Tokio Hotel is carrying a label of Germany with them. I don't know if this has anything to do with the picture, but their nationality is in way more important role than an average American celebrity. No matter where they are going.

I think that "not fitting in" is an interesting theory. I didn't think it quite like that, but now I can see it definitely being there. Actually the whole picture is a bit "out of the place", all elements there. It gives surprising, maybe it intentionally irritating signals. I'm quite sure Bill's pose and expression is intentionally made to annoy people, the same ones who laughed at them, when they were teenagers. Knowing how much Bill's face annoys lot of people, this will definitely work. I didn't think him and the environment and the conflict between them. Interesting point...

I wonder if this can symbolize Bill's future with his girlfriend/wife? Bill will be this powerful, dominating figure in the music world and beyond. While the people he loves the most will sort of fade in the background....barely seen.

Dang there is some major symbolism going on here.

I don't think it's as deep as that. Assuming that whoever was behind the photoshoot didn't know much about TH, I wouldn't say they arranged for those specific items to be in the picture.

I googled the book title and the only thing that came up was a book by Alex Kane, The Dark Omen.

I doubt there is any significance behind that. Unless Bill has been having late night Ouija sessions. :laugh: It just seems to tie in with the more dark look of the hotel room. It seems pretty modern-ish, and the little female statue looks more vintage. And the Nosferatu is a nice cult movie.

Why I don't look so far into it, is because 1. I am trying to stop overanalyzing, 2. As I said, I assume the photographer and the person who chose the room/setting doesn't know much about the band so he/she wouldn't go through so much thought into what goes on the table, 3. He does seem sexy in a yummy way but he also seems more relaxed. In the other photo he was dreamy in a thinking-of-something-else sort of way, but here it's more come-hither.

I dunno, I just don't want to see too much into it. Eventually you go so deep into symbolism that you end up missing the entire point, which is alot simpler. -shrugs-


Plus it may be irrelevant, but ever been in IKEA, in the ready made rooms? They have all sorts of objects and books and stuffles. Maybe it's sort of the same idea. That's what most artists do. I read once that it has something to do with how their brains are and what mind set they're at, so they tend to look for deeper meanings of things. There's nothing wrong with it :3 It's really cool actually.

let me just say, i never thought i would see these campaign posters in person but i did! i saw it in Hamburg, Berlin & Munich! he was everywhere in the berlin station in my opinion haha, the walls & the revolving doors. happy times XD

because the way advertising works. depending on the contract (fun i know :roll:), the rules would be hard to get around. plus, whoever took the actual photo used in it wants to get something out of it. etc.
