How do you post a banner for a thread?

i just kinda put it at the top of my first post but I'd like to have it at the top of the thread but not in a post. Is that possible?

Copy paste the img code, go to your fanfict and edit your fanfict then paste the img code at the very top
(Make sure to only copy/pase the img code)

I think its only possible only at the top of the post
