I fly out in two days to go to this concert. I am SO EXCITED!!!! 1) I have never been to a TH Concert and 2) I have never left the United States! I am sooooooooo excited to FINALLY see them live! It is so awesome that they are filming this concert for their Live DVD. EEEEEK!

I want them to come back. if they don't i WILL join you with going to a Euro show and throwing a stuff animal at one of them [i don't care who...maybe Tom just to see his expression, and seriously Bill has been hit with a lot of things..(glow stick on the forehead for example, lol) so it's time for Tom to be hit with a stuffy.

My biggest fear, honestly, is that they won't even bother with an actual tour here in the States... and if they did play any shows, it would be one in New York City and one in Los Angeles. :( Which of course, many fans cannot travel to go see them if that were to happen...

There's still talks about the boys doing open-air concerts in Europe during the summer. So, I do not see them coming to the states after the spring.

After Asia there is talk of a South America tour. I'm hoping they will have sometime for a North America tour after that or even a few stop during. Even though like no one plays near me. I live an hour from Nashville but no one plays there!

I think they do short Asia promo after Humanoid, but I don't think they head to America (either South nor NorthI before the end of the summer, but who knows? Bill said in some interview that they have plans for the summer, but nothing confirmed yet. We will have to wait patiently... Just that my patience is ending soon, because I've already waited NY cponcert for half a year and even if it's a short time, I still want to know :smile:

I have high hopes for the US, unlike the UK. Im sure they will be over there for one thing or another by the end of summer even if its a small event or a trip to the studio. And if not, then a full promotional event/s sometime in Sept, Oct, Nov.

Sometimes I truly wonder why UK Nis so determinately neglected by TH. Sure, it has probably never been the most solid ground of fandom in Europe for TH, but it's like... they don't even TRY. That's sad, because you have to travel to the continent... Luckily at least France is pretty close there!

I think it's nice to have bands who stay year after year in a heart. I have few I always enjoy to see live and listen. I think the oldest one of those is a Finnish band called Apulanta. I first fell in love with the band around 1995 or something and I still enjoy to see them live every single time. It's almost a tradition already to see them at least once a year playing live.

Other one is LInkin Park. Since One step closer published I've loved the band and it was basically my dream come true when I saw them live finally 2008. It took me eight years, but now I've seen them twice and I made a promise to myself last summer in Sonisphere festival that I promise to be there every single time they perform in Finland, time after time, year after year. :)

I hope TH will be a new band on that list of bands I always keep in a special place in my heart.

I've been a fan of the finnish band HIM for almost 10 years and I'm only 25. I own 3 CDs total. 2 are TH and one in HIM. I download off of iTunes a lot but I actually bought those CDs. No wait I have the Dark light CD somewhere too!

Yay Im happy for you getting to see BB! Though im more of an Nsync girl. They took my concert virginity and I will love them forever for that.

And Im still crossing my fingers for fall so I can go to the concert in NYC. I know this sounds crazy but I think it would actually be fun to camp in line for a bit, meeting other TH fans from around the country/world.

Im kind of annoyed at the twins, especially Bill.......they cover their faces the whole time and in the videos they just hurry into the hotel and not one glance towards the fans. its like he just wants to get inside away from them which is kind of mean. georg smiled and looked around but the other two just kept their head down and acted like they didnt even care that they had so many fans waiting for them. its sad really because they used to love the attention and always smiled and waved. and this was the last location too and they didnt even care about the fans.........

I think we should just let them wear scarfs if they want to. It's a bit uncomfortable, but this has been terrible, stessful and long two months. I understand that they don't necessary want to be on a spotlight all the time now. It hasn'rt been exactly a victory march. It would be nice to have chilled, smiling twins, but looks like they are quite tired right now.... But hey, they still smile and are friendly on M&G's etc. We can't request their attention everytime everywhere. I'm sure they still care, it's not that.

I wish people could support them and not be mad at them all the time. Just like booing -plans in Rome or other situations. I feel like they need support now quite a lot and snapping at everything is not helping... Let's try to support, okay? :smile:

EDIT: And I don't mean people are snapping here, but I've read some pretty harsh statements on other places.

I have so mixed feelings about it. On the other hand I want them to have a rest, take a break and no more Humanoid-tour drama, which has eaten me sometimes alive. The fans are pretty tired, the boys must be very tired and feels like it's good point to get this done now. Thi9s wasn't just a tour - a series of concerts - but so much drama, insecurity and stress that I bet this demanded quite a lot from everyone, nwho has actively followed the tour or been a part of it somehow. On the other hand there is a sort of emptiness left. What now? One era is coming to an nend and the long waited tour after long waited album is done. I know I'm going to miss new pics, videos, updates and "tour atmosphere" too.

I guess it's like this everytime, when something ends. But it also opens new doors and in two weeks The boys will be Asia and going strong. Maybe we all just take a breath for two weeks? :smile:

I remember that one interview not so long ago, where Bill talked about moving in public. It's not like those situations are pleasant for them. Of course us as fans wish them to be all smile and in close contact, but like Bill said, he is tensed all the time when he walks in public. He is scared. From that back ground I don't know how much we should blame them after all. It would be nice to have them all over, but if you are afraid of something it can easily turn slowly to worse. It's true, Georg looked very good in Paris. From the videos taken there, he was looking very happy and relaxed. Not like twins who were.. well, you saw the pics. It amuses me how there is this business lady and behind her you can see Tom casually in Adidas-tracksuit. :)

And yep, last concert of the tour. Feeling little sad... but also happy to give everyone a little break and opportunity to rest.

And hey, I actually liked Bill's outfit. I adore that necklace-thing he is wearing! I just realized how it's so natural for me to see Bill as...Bill. I don't even notice anymore things like jewerly or nailpolish or heels or whatever. Before Bill or maybe in other occasions I would pay attention on things like that on a man. Not in a bad way, but I would notice those things, because it's not so usual. But with Bill it's so natural part of him. It is supposed to be like that. But yeah, I know what yoy feel. I'm both sad and happy. This has been a great journey, full of drama, full of anxiety, joy and happiness all together. Now..I feel empty. That normal, but always annoying feeling pulling me down a bit. For the last time we'll see Tom's left egg, for the last time they just played Komm on this tour, no more HUmanoid-updates and twitter-mania. I'm happy to give them a rest, but at the same time I feel already post-Humanoid sadness and I'm pretty emotional right now. Like yours, this was my first TH tour, the first tour of any band in my life that I actually followed day after day.

But it was worth it! NO matter how much I wished at some points this ending, but after all..it has been all worth it :)

Mayhaps they will use the same equipment during the next cities they go to. Its with the same album so maybe Asia will get to go to Humaniod City!!!

I'm worried that the Asia tour won't see as many online updates and fans camping out and stuff. :-( I think we will get update for the South America tour. I can't believe the tour is over, this tour was the first time I got to actually see Tokio Hotel after three gruelling years of waiting around and signing petitons for them to come to BC, Vancouver. The only reason I got to see them was because I moved from Canada to Holland (mum got a job offer she couldn't refuse, oh joy. -_-'')
But I have to say, I'm quite grateful we moved seeing as I got to see my fave band ever :)
This tour will always be one to remember, that's for sure. I really had wished I could see them twice because the first time I saw them I was so caught up looking at the stage and all the ligths and pyro and Bill, Georg and Tom running around like crazy that I don't really remember too much , just randomn things like screaming my head off and scaring the dude next to me, calling my friend from Canada who is a big Tom fan and screaming into the phone "can you hear them?' (she said "no, all I hear is a bunch of screaming fan girls'', LOL) Bill doing his like arm-flap move-legs-around- crazily dance, and OH! I ahve to say, I SWEAR TOM LOOKED AT ME AS THE EGG WAS CLOSING! (lol...I sound like a cff :P) It was really awesome 'cuz the egg was closing and I wanted to gert one really good last glance at the abdn just so I can remeber them but Tom caught my attention I guess, cuz I kept looking at him, and I THINK he was looking at me but I wasn't sure 'cuz I didn't ahve my glasses with me (yeah..I'm far-sighted) so I kep staring like an idiot, and just as the egg is about to close and all I see is his shoulders, BAM! he bends down a bit and looks straight at me! I guess he wanted one last glance too, maybe not of me, but just the crowd in egenral, although I sear he was looking at me...(this sill sounds cff-ish..lol) but really...I could be wrong..I mean I did need my glasses...but whatever...I'm just going to go ahead and think he was looking at me :D It made my night anyways, cuz he was looking in my general direction..(and they did say they try to make alot of eye contact during concerts :D).wow I kinda when on a lil tangent there...whatevs...it's good to indulge in reminiscence once in a while.

P.P.S.-after the concert I really felt like going on the stage and somehow finning a way down inside cuz that way I could make my way through the stage and into those hallways leading out of the stage (under it mind you) and straight to Tokio Hotel..so in short I felt like running after them...I really hopethey do somesort of promo stuff aagin in Europe so I can see them again..although I doubt they will:?...They're off to S. AMerica this summer sighz...ah wells..until another time.

I swear TH is going to be one of those bands I'll always love forever, I can totally picture myself listening to their music when I'm like 60> .

Another randomn thought, okay so this has to do with religion, but anyways...my family is orthodox ...so technically we believe in life after death, and I was just thinking if there really is life after death, we could all theoretically meet TH after we die!...lol...yeah idk...i get weird ideas.

I understand this point too and it's a good point. It's that kind of positive attitude, which is great to have. I can't really explain or defence even my sadness (I guess it's not even needed), but I wish that tomorrow I turn my eyes to Asia. It's a great thing to see them going there!

Humanoid tour was an exoerience like I haven't had before. This has been quite exhausting, but I'm happy I took this. Right now this is more like an ending of a one era, but it doesn't take away the fact that I'm also super excited to see them going Asia! It's not about Europe, really, it's more about living these moments. Like I was almost there, traveling with people, seeing venues and hotels, camping outside, going through the songs over and over. It is about the emptiness it leaves behind for a day or two. Like saying goodbye to an old friend even if you know you'll see him/her again one day...Just that moment of separation, that's all.

Only thing that bothers me is that I can't thank the boys in person. I wish I could, but I can't. They will never know, how thankful I am for these two months "traveling" with them - even if it was mostly just through internet. Sometimes I just hate that I can't communicate with them in any way. How much it sucks that you want to say thank you, but you can't? UGH!

Sorry, I'm emotional today. Tomorrow I'll be easioer to tolerate again :laugh:

I'm a bit angry about the French press that write about TH and the concerts there, they all say that it failed and it's the decline of TH and ask the question "Is TH finished?".

yeah...I can't relate to the sadness because i see this tour ending as a happy event. It means TH will be on their way to expanding their massive fanbase and visiting countries for the first time.

from the tweets i've been reading, fans are reporting that Bill said he doesn't want the night to tend and he's sad to leave.

Exactly Ray! It is just the end of the European part of the tour. When they do the FINAL show of the tour (NYC perhaps:-o) Then I will be sad.

More bad press in Germany. Bild.online has an article about the empty venues with 4500 visitors per concert. Headline: Tokio Hotel for free!
The swiss promoter says that they don't know if they would book them again unless they were able to reinvent themselves and would draw bigger crowds again. They write that there is a concert for free in Malaysia to calm the fans down. And a lot of fans didn't even buy tickets in the end because everyone won them anyway at the end of the tour.

I know this is from very different context and for very diferent situations, but at some point I stole this old saying (not necessary in a religion's point of view) and started to stuck it in my head, when I felt superdown. I think I started to do it during the Russian disaster. It sounds over dramatic, but just repeating fit ew times to myself everytime when I felt anxiety of the things not going as I hope they'd go, it always gave me a realistic perspective to everything...

Also what those reporters and even TH management didn't account for is TH was gone from the public eye for over a year. They have to build their popularity back up. Not to mention a global recession. People just don't have the money to go to concerts like did. I chose to think of the low concert sells in that light instead of thinking they are "declining." Just look as how they got swarmed at all their hotels and all the fans camping. I think they got over ambitious with this tour and thats why it looks like it wasn't as successful. If TH wants their success to be back to where it was they are going to have to work like they are just getting started. Because they are. They were gone and I know a year doesn't seem like bunch of time but with a world of instant gradification and a lot of other bands wanting TH's place they are going to have fight for their fans. I do wonder if they realize that. Not all their fans. They have their loyal fanbase like us but the entire fandom isn't like that and like it or not TH needs those other fans too. They buy CDs and concert tickets too.

I totally agree with you. Everyone is just being really negative a nd jumping to conclusions. Things happen. If you look at the history of other bands I am sure that there were probably times when things were not going as well as they had hoped.

Exactly. I heard the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the world ( I can't remember which) say he's always nice to the support bands because he never knows if one day his band will be a support band for them. Popularity changes. Even the Beatles weren't popular all the time. If TH hangs in there and works really hard they can get even bigger than they were before. A lot of bands who drop into obscurity do so because they were once big and think they don't have to work as hard now. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to TH.

People are so resistant for change always, but I think we already reached the bottom in a way that the remaining fandom seems to be quite solid now. The surfers on top of the fame are gone, because they have "better things to do and new bands to go", but what I've sensed during the tour, these fans are passionate of this.

They love Tokio Hotel as Tokio Hotel, not because it's cool and Bill is so fierce....like I think many were back in the days. I see fans, who genuily care for the band. They talk about the boys how they feel like being personally connected to them, grow up with them. It's not really that much fangirling over the band, but almost more like caring individuals . They may not always agree with the decisions the band makes, but so many of the fans see past that and see that caring of them is not something that comes and goes, but it's about loyalty and support. I see so much of that. It makes me feel so much better, because that is a d*mn good source. I hope TH realises this, too, because this fandom deserves it and the boys need to understand that they are cared because who they are, not because it's cool. That's how I want to see it.

There was also one good thing said, really, no trap!
Did you watch the star search with Bill. There was a young woman in the jury (Jasmin Wagner). That woman was asked about the tour and she said that in those dimensions some thousand people less doesn't matter that much and other artist would dream of ever having audiences like TH has.

And I think that's true. I'm weird: I sat down with my calculator and tried to find out if they earned some money with the tour. It was pointless but I'm sure they did, and enough to go on make another record and go on more tours.

I don't want to speculate financial issues, because they give me a headache, because there is this contrast of making music, pleasing audience, having fun and all the emotional level and then there is this cruiel marketing level, which is only interested in numbers below the line. I hate to see those too getting a conflict. They just don't match naturally, but more like fighting with each other all the time.

But about that fans molesting Bill. Yes, I understand the point where they have to tolerate certain type of behavior. They can deal with it. But it doesn't mean that they like it. It's like customer service: you can deal with a/sshole customers acting stupid and retarded, but does it mean that you like it or that it is even right to bact that way just because that customer servant can tolerate it, because it's his/her job? In know they are excited about the boys and it's once in a lifetime experience, but I still feel a bit bad for the boys. I think it would be respectful behavior to respect their private space.

I would freak out too if I'd have to tolerate complete straingers hanging on my neck one after another. :laugh:

Also one thing, which might be just me, but... Have you noticed how few girls actually thanked the boys? Or thanks in general in M&G? I don't know, many of them don't even look at them there, but for me I think it would be nice to turn and say thank you/danke/whatever when you leave. I don't know... *shrug*

I'm just a super shy person unless I meet someone at the M&G who warms me up a little bit. The Milano fans seem to just be more touchy feely type people. I see nothing wrong with being affectionate. There are worse things in the world than being hugged. I think the guys are used to it by now. Honestly I didn't see it truely bothering them. I think Bill was just being funny. I think he found it funny. It was out of the ordinary. It did seem like he and Tom were able to communicate non-verbally a lot. That was interesting to watch.

How cute was that girl with her father? I think it was her father. My dad would never have thought of doing that much less even put up with all those screaming fan girls at the concert. That was so sweet.

There are worst things, true, but I still make a difference of getting used to and actually liking it. I still think it's a bit out of line to crawl all over them like that. I wouldn't like it at least. But I can alwayus choose who to hug and when, not like I stand there and random people come to squeeze me day after day without any opportunity tov say no. That wouldn't be comfortable for me.

I tried to convince my husband to a TH-concert, but the main thing of why he refused were screaming teenage girls. He said he could listen to the concert, no problem there, but he just couldn't stand that constant screaming. Okay, M&G would have been too much for him... :laugh:

It is quite mesmerizing isn't it? It's always something that fascinates me about identical twins. How they're able to communicate with just one look to each other. I have a twin brother and we don't share that strong of a connection. So it's just as fascinating to me to see Bill and Tom communicate without any words at all! <3

They're finished their European tour now so they won't go to Britain or Ireland this year. They're concentrating on Asia at the moment and may go to South America this year too. Nothing else is finalized as of yet.

So I traveled from California to Milan for the concert on the 12th...and then a volcano erupted in Icleand and I only just got back 24 hours ago, lol but despite being "trapped on a permanent vacation in Italy," that was easily the best night of my life. :D (Also, I was the only person happy about being trapped in Italy. Seriously, everyone else was like, oh no I can't stay on vacation this is horrible, whereas I was like, YES PARTY!!!!!).

It was my first concert and I am so so so so so glad I went. I got to the venue about four hours before the show started and there were already about 4,000 people in line (approxiametly, give or take like 2,000...anyways). I went by myself because my boyfriend is lame, lol, and I sat in line and couldn't talk to anyone because I don't speak Italian (2 hours of awkward silence and keeping to myself, I felt like the biggest loser on the planet). Then the staff came and addressed the crowd in Italian and I started asking anyone if they could translate for me and then all of a sudden I made all kinds of friends! I have to say, we TH fans are really awesome people! I am now Facebook friends with a few of the girls I met and we all sat together at the concert. It was really great.

The set list was in English and the boys played like three encores. It was amazing. The crowd was super into it and sang along with every song and there were posters and fluorescent light things and awesome fan action!

I am so glad I am a fan of this band. Not only is the band amazing, but so are their fans. I love you Italy!

ok thanks , im not goning to lie im pretty disappointed by this, I saw on another thread that they canned some uk appearances before because their promoter or somthing chose to put their interest in a different band so TH went somewhere they would have more back up, if that was the case , I think they (TH) should have said screw them and played anyway, ok so mayb it wouldn't have bin as many big arenas but it probably would've meant just as much to the fans. Maybe its what TH needs to play a few smaller venues again because lets face it they wouldnt be as big over here at least not straight away....

thoughts on this anyone??
