View Full Version : ★ The Prayers List ★

On another forum I'm on we have a prayers list where ppl can post the names and info about ppl they feel need their prayers and thoughts.
It can be someone who's dead, alive or fighting for their life or missing or just in trouble.
Animals as well as people.
The support is just as much for the person in trouble as it is for the loved one who's worried about them and maybe on this forum.

Whether it's religious or not is up to your own heart.

And no religious discussions.
Then this will be closed by The Mighty Gaja.

My friend Chelly recently lost her battle with Lukemia... I pray for her everyday, just wanting her to be kept safe wherever she is...

Her family hardly ever visted her in hospital, and apprently when she died there was only her sister there... And it break my heart knowing she must have felt so alone and unloved....

Can anyone pray for her too? Just so she can know she was never alone? Because I feel like my prayers alone aren't enough...

Chelly- you have always been loved by me. You were like a sister, and losing you like that hurt so much. I know your family didn't alway appreciate you, and they hardly ever listened, but I want you to know that you ARE loved, no matter how much it feels like you aren't. I love you, and I hope now, where-ever you are, you are loved too.

Today my heart goes out to the family and friends of Peter Steele, the singer of Type O Negative who died of a heart attack on Wednesday, 48yo.
Drugs have once again caused death to a talented man.....

I also send a thought to the fishes in my brothers tank.
I do understand your fear now when 4 of you have passed away for a unknown reason.
I still think it might be one of the cats staring at you that killed you.
But innocent til proven guilty are the words I believe.....

So....sleep with the fishes as they say...

I also feel, and fear, with the ppl on Iceland right now.
The Swedish family caught between the water from the glacier and the smoke from the volcano.
I hope the wind doesn't change.

That is so horrible. I would do anything to be there when a loved one dies.
And I'm sure your prayers are enough.

I'm not a Christian, but I'm praying for Chelly. I feel so... urgh. It breaks my heart when someone loses a battle with a vicious disease like that. I'm pretty sure, scratch that, I'm definately sure she's in a bettter place now, at peace. Chelly, you were loved, don't ever forget that. ^-^ I'll light a candle for her. :3

I prayed for Chelly. Just know that now she's in God's house, and knows she's loved. No matter how she felt while on earth, how unhappy, alone, and unloved, she knows now that God loved her the whole time. She knows that you loved her, that her other friends loved her, and maybe even her family - I don't know the situation, but it seems that maybe now that's she's up there and can see them, she knows how much she really is loved.

i'll pray for everyone mentioned here..

and i would like to add my aunt cindy.. she's sick and they can't figure out why yet.. she's lost so much weight and she's constantly in pain..
also a boy named doug.. he was born mentally and physically handicapped.. he's currently experiencing kidney failure and they're not sure if he will survive another transplant.. this would be his third if they approve it..
thank you all in advance for your thoughts..

Leibe Gott,

Look after everyone we've mentioned so far. Chelly, Cindy and Doug.... Keep Chelly safe in your protection, and stop Cindy and Doug from being torn away from their families. Let the doctors find out what's wrong with Cindy so they can make her better, and let Doug survive his 3rd kidney transplant.

Viel liebe,
Helenaka

Liebe Gott,

Please look after my Doug. He was taken from me 4 years ago now, and I can't stop thinking about him. He was EVERYTHING to me, and can you please tell him I'm sorry for what I did. There's so much I want to say to him, but the time has passed. It did the minute I woke up in that hospital bed, and realised I'd survived while his life had been taken. My WORLD came crashing down, and I know Doug wouldn't have wanted me being like that, but I was. I pray for him everyday, and my thoughts are with his family and friends....

I just wish I could see him again. Even just for one instant so I knew everything was OK. Look after him, Gott, and everyone-else in your care.

Atleast he's in a lot nicer place, now.

Viel Liebe,
Helenaka

dear God,

please look after everyone here and keep them safe. I expecially want to pray for Kiera, in my chior class, that is in the hospital with annorexia. I want you to let her know how much you love her and that she can overcome this terrible disease. Lord, even though not many people know about it, I want You to put a burden in their hearts to pray for Kiera and to visit her in the hospital to show support and that we all love her just the way she is.

Lord, I pray for anyone that suffers with that condition that you would just lay a burden on their hearts to seek help and to try to eventually stop whatever it is they're doing. I pray that over the next few weeks, You will lay Your hand on Kiera, and continue to heal her and help her gain weight.

Amen

Dear God,
I pray that the family and friends of Cindy are comforted as she goes through this rough time in her life. Also that you keep her lifted high as the doctors struggle to figure out what is wrong and cure it.
I pray for Doug, that the doctors do the right thing. If they decide he will not survive, let him pass in peace, and help his family, friends, and all who know him feel comforted by your presence. If at all possible, let the operation happen and work.
Help any and all who suffer from anorexia and their families to know that they will be alright and that they are loved.
Please help Helen (what's your nickname? I don't remember...)'s guilt be lifted and help her know that what happened was your doing and you meant it all to be exactly how it is.
Help Emina pass the scholarship test, but if she doesn't, let her find another way to go to that school or another school that she likes. If her teacher tells her dad about her smoking, help her dad to be forgiving and understanding.
I'd like to pray for my dog, Henry. He's a 16 year old beagle, which is old for a purebread. His back legs don't work well anymore and he can't climb the stairs without falling. We have to carry him most places. He's lost weight, and staggers around all the time. Please help him feel better and comforted, and when you call him home, help me and my family, especially my dad, get through it.
Amen.
Love,
Helen

My heart out to everyone who's posted here and to their loved ones. Stay strong.

Today I want pray for the person who means most in the world to me: my sister. She's been through really hard times for years now and has been battling in and out of depression for so long. At times she seems to get better but recently she was told something that broke her inside. It's so hard to see a loved one suffer. I feel so helpless. I wish I could take the pain for her. I know she's tried to commit suicide before and I would just die if she succeeded. I won't let her give up on herself. I know she'll be safe as long as she's not alone, but what's going to happen when we all drift apart to start our own lives? I'm scared to death for her.

I also want to pray for my cousin who was recently diagnosed with cancer in one of his testicles. It was detected early so he was being treated. I believe he was done with the chemo, I saw him at a birthday party a few months back, and he looked good. Just this week my mom told me the family had canceled their vacations because they received news from his doctor. The cancer spread to his lungs and kidneys. It's taking over him. Sneaky f*cking desease. My cousin is so young... 23 years old tops. For whatever reason, we don't get along and we don't like each other. I hardly ever see him, but it hurts nonetheless. I keep remembering all those times we laughed and played when we were kids. No matter what I ever thought or said of him, I don't want anything bad happening to him. My cousin doesn't deserve to die this young.

Please help me pray for them.

Might be petty in the comparison to ppl dying but do send a good thought to support all the poor families stuck here in Europe and in other countries in airports and streets and other places where they have to spend their money on expences they didn't count on because the ash from the volcano stops the planes from flying. All the trains and buses are booked and all the cars are rented. No one can get home and no one knows when this will end.

I'm praying for Emina to get into the Una Sana college, by passing her test to get it. I pray that she aces it, and does well in the school and becomes very successful. ^-^

I pray that my mum's fybromyalgia clears up. It's debilatating for her, and it breaks my heard every day seeing her get worse and worse. I don't blame her for being violent, it's not her fault. I pray that it clears up, so that she can finally live a good quality of life and be happy.

I'm praying for all the people in Iceland affected by the volcano, and all the people affected by the aftermath of it. D':

I'm not too good at this prayer thing. :/

Liebe Gott,

It hurts too much to lose someone you love and care about deeply. I know how it feels. Gott- please take the pain away from everyone. Help them get help, get better, and make all these terrible things stop. None of these people here deserve it, and I don't like seeing people suffer. It's horrible knowing that you are helpess behind a computer screen, but hopefully Gott, you can hear me and see what my friends are going through. Help them, their relatives, their pets and everyone they care about.

Here in Sweden we have a woman who at the age of 6 became paralyzed by a neurological disease. She can not do anything not even breath by herself, only blink. Today she is 31 and because of the disease she gets more and more fragile and gets sick more easily. She asked the doctors to end the treatment which any patient has the right to demand but in her case that would mean turning off the breathing machine. Today they allowed her to end her treatment. She also asked to be sedated when they turn it off so she wont suffer and since it's the doctors duty to minimize the suffering they will do so.

So send a thought to this poor woman and hope she will have it better in her next life. I can not, and don't want to, imagine what her life must've been like all these years.

That they can be happy, healthy, content, successful, and safe.
And that they can all find happiness and satisfaction with where their lives lead.
That Bill can FINALLY find that "true love" and for Georg's to last.
And for Tom and Gustav to also find love too.

And I pray for their families, that they get to see them more often and not be nagged by the paparazzi especially at their homes.

Finally, I pray that they'll come to America soon.
It may not be SOON. but it will come eventually and I just
hope the time goes by quickly until we get to see them on our
American stages again. =)

There are ppl that really need your prayers now!

A explosion in a mine in Russia killed 12 and 83 is stuck down in the caves.
No one knows how many is still alive because it's too dangerous for the rescue crew to go down.
One rescue crew is already stuck down there after the second explosion.

Personally I have a hard time imagining, or don't want to imagine, how lonely one must feel so deep under ground in the dark.
The waiting must feel endless for them and their families waiting above.

Please be in prayer for my mom. While I was gone to physical therapy, she took a shower in my bathroom. She slipped and fell while in there. She fell backwards and has really hurt her back. We think either her collar bone is broken or she has dislocated her shoulder (or both) from it hitting against the toilet and she has a huge bump on her leg from it hitting the side of the tub.

She is already in bad health (she's 65 years old) and we can't talk her into going to the emergency room!

She has to go to the ER. Tell her it's better to go today then wait until Friday. Fridays are always worse. Also easier to get to a open pharmacy for painkillers during the weekdays. Anything you can come up with.

Dear God!

If you could just give peace of mind and the power to accept what has happened to the young man who killed his brother and sister and father because he was jealous due to the parents divorce, I would be grateful. Some might think it's a strange thing to ask for but but he can not be of sane mind. I'm sorry he had to grow up feeling abandoned by his father and that he also took it out on his siblings since I know what a gift siblings truly are.

Make him able to forgive himself since he is only 21 and have a long life ahead of him.

Also take care of those who's lives ended premature and make them able to forgive him.

And finally give peace and healing to the two women left without their children and husband and also make them find forgiveness in their hearts.

LOS ANGELES - Ronnie James Dio, the metal god who replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath and later piloted the bands Heaven & **** and Dio, has died, according to his wife and manager.

Dio announced last fall he was suffering from stomach cancer. He was being treated at a Houston hospital, according to his website.

"My heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45 a.m," said a statement by Wendy Dio posted Sunday on the site and confirmed by publicist Maureen O'Connor.

I'm praying for my dad.
He's been having trouble breathing recently, and it got so bad the other day that we had to take him to the hospital.
Turns out that he has blood clots EVERYWHERE in his lungs. It usually kills people within a few days, usually without symptoms.
He'd been dealing with it for TEN days, and only had trouble breathing.
He'll be in the hospital for a few days, but we're hoping that this wasn't simply a reaction of something much bigger.

he'll be spending Father's Day in a hospital bed.

Everyone, please pray for my friend Samantha Lee who was just diagnosed with cancer on monday.

Also for my friend Chuck, and hope he fully recovers from his motorcycle accident on Friday :( <3

And, this one is a big one for me, please pray for the family of my friend Burnsy, who died last night in a freak accident. Also for my stepbrother Allen, who has been best friends with him for nearly his entire life. It's really taking a toll on him, and I know I've been in his position, so I'm hoping you all have the heart to pray desperately for all the people affected by this amazing 16 year old kid who overcame absolutely everything in his bad childhood and grew up to be a sincerely amazing young man.

The most loved Finnish poet, Tommy Tabermann, has died today at the age of 62. He had a brain tumor, which was diagnosed almost a year ago. He was so loved poet, wrote very beautiful, strong poems of love and humanity. He worked also as a politician.

I will miss his poetry, his beautiful words and his attitude to life & love. May him rest in peace on his last journey!

You'll be in my thoughts, Tommy! I loved your work, it will never die!

Hey guys.

If you could please keep my mother in your thoughts, it would mean so much. I had to bring her to the emergency room for a.. well let's just call it a bleeding issue. I'll spare the gory "TMI" details, but we're finding out now that it's a pretty serious abdominal/colon infection and I'm not too sure what lies ahead at the moment. I'm actually writing this from the hospital.

I have full belief in the strength of prayers. I've seen it work before, and I'm hoping I can call on the collective efforts of some friends here on the forum.

Thanks so much everyone.

Idk if you have missed what is going on in Australia but at the moment there is a area same size as Germany and France combined that is flooded and several ppl have died or is missing and ppl are fleeing.

And the rain continues.

So lets put them in our prayers.

And this is one place where you find the latest news http://www.couriermail.com.au/

To donate: http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html

From LJ: http://be****.livejournal.com/87179.html

As of today, the floods have affected nearly 200,000 people over an area that is larger than France and Germany - to put it into another perspective, an area that is the size of the American state of Texas is currently underwater. An estimated 22 townships have been left either isolated or inundated by the rising flood waters. Three of the major river systems are currently at flooding capacity. The rain is continuing to fall, and the flood is extending across to the South-East corner of the state. It may soon reach the NSW boarder. Toowoomba was hit yesterday with flash flooding - with walls of water eight metres high - which has decimated the town. The current death toll for Toowoomba alone is nine, with seventy-two reported missing.

75% of Queensland's coal mines are flooded out or shut down due to inaccessibility, and coal isn't getting into the ports in Sarina or Gladstone. Queensland is currently the supplier of 50% of the world's coking coal. This isn't taking into account the sheer scale of damage that has been done to crops and farmland, as well as the tourism industry, which are three of Queensland's biggest economic pullers. The sheer financial cost and recovery time the state is going to need to recover from the damage is going to be astronomical, and the rain is showing no signs of stopping any time soon. (The current damage estimate, with townships set to be hit again and more rivers to peak, is sitting at $5 billion dollars. This is only going to climb.)

mollie, that Jared Leto quote, the thing is that things like the water carrying for miles without shoes happens. A lot. My island is fine and we still have to go down into ravines and such for drinking water and then walk back up with the buckets and jars and jerry cans.

It's sad that Haiti is still suffering so much, but remember that even before the earthquake things were going badly for them.

That's not to say that they aren't in my prayers.

Yes it was but now ppl soon will not even have the tents if they fall apart of if the hurricanes hit. According to the press anyway, that is why it's about of a hurry. Haiti also have a risk of being forgotten when so many other things are happening. many countries have promised money but not all have come in, as usual and now more countries are compeeting for the money. Remember Jared was there for a couple of days and that is how you react when you first see things like that. That is what the news need for ppl to react.

To all the people of world

The people in Egypt are under governmental siege. Mubarak regime is banning Facebook, Twitter, and all other popular internet sites Now, the internet are completely blocked in Egypt. Tomorrow the government will block the 3 mobile phone network will be completely blocked.

And there is news that even the phone landlines will be cut tomorrow, to prevent any news agency from following what will happen.

Suez city is already under siege now. The government cut the water supply and electricity, people, including, children and elderly are suffering there now. The patients in hospitals cannot get urgent medical care. The injured protesters are lying in the streets and the riot police are preventing people from helping them. The families of the killed protesters cannot get the bodies of their sons to bury them. This picture is the same in north Saini (El-Sheikh zoyad city) and in western Egypt (Al-salom). The riot police is cracking down on protesters in Ismailia, Alexandria, Fayoum, Shbin Elkoum, and Cairo, the capital, in many neighborhoods across the city.

The government is preparing to crackdown on the protesters in all Egyptian cities. They are using tear gas bombs, rubber and plastic pullets, chemicals like dilutes mustard gas against protesters. Several protesters today have been killed when the armored vehicles of the riot police hit them. Officials in plain clothes carrying blades and knives used to intimidate protesters. Thugs deployed by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior are roaming the streets of Cairo, setting fire on car-wheels as means of black propaganda to demonize protesters and justify police beatings and state torture

All this has been taken place over the past three days during the peaceful demonstrations in Cairo and other cities. Now, with the suspicious silence of the local media and the lack of coverage from the international media, Mubarak and his gang are blocking all the channels that can tell the world about what is happening.

People who call for their freedom need your support and help. Will you give them a hand?

The activists are flooding the net (youtube and other sites) with thousands of pictures and videos showing the riot police firing on armless people. The police started to use ammunition against protesters. 15-year old girl has been injured and another 25 year old man has been shot in the mouth. While nothing of these has appeared in the media, there is more to happen tomorrow. Will you keep silent? Will you keep your mouth shut while seeing all these cruelty and inhumane actions?

Please send prayers and wellwishes to Queensland, Australia.
Only having suffered record rains and flooding to 75% of the state (an area greater than France and Germany combined), Northern Queensland is bracing for another natural disaster.
Tropical cyclone Yasi is headed straight for many large cities and smaller rural towns, with the eye of the cyclone reaching 70km in radius and a total radius of 500km or greater.
Winds are expected to reach 300km/h (Hurricane Katrina has winds up to 340 km/h) and there is expected widespread devastation throughout many states. Not only that, but residents who are staying in the effected areas have to wait a full 24 hours before the cyclone passes, before they can inspect the damage caused by the wind and water.

Moved over this from my tumblr:

In Egypt…..

…..a journalist from Swedish Television went missing and when they called his phone a man in Arabic said he had been caught by the military. They finally found him seriously injured at a hospital but he can not say anything yet.

This has been happening to journalists from Europe, USA and other countries and now they suspect it’s planned because the Egyptian authorities don’t want the rest of the world to find out what is happening.

I’m sending a thought and a prayer to those brave enough to stay and help the people of Egypt by sharing their experiences with the world. If no one does this I think many more would die and no one would be held responsible.I hope Mubarak will step down quickly and peace will come and unite them.

EDIT: And right after I posted this I saw that Nile TV anchor tells CNN she quit after being forced to show pro-Mubarak protests. The news team was not allowed to show anything else and nothing from the square so after working there for many years she quit. Good for her!

This kind of proves what is going on. If the foreign journalists leaves there will be nothing stopping them. It is safer as long as the world is watching.

I so feel for this man!

China AIDS activist gets 1-year prison sentence for smashing equipment in hospital where he was infected

BEIJING — A Chinese AIDS activist has been sentenced to a year in prison for smashing equipment at the hospital where he was infected, his lawyer said Saturday.

Tian Xi plans to appeal the punishment, handed down a day earlier in Xincai County People's Court of central China's Henan province after he was convicted of intentionally damaging property, lawyer Liang Xiaojun said. "Tian told the court it did not consider the links between the cause and effect, and only punished him and not the hospital," Liang said. Phones in several offices at the Xincai County No. 1 People's Hospital and the court rang unanswered Saturday.

Police took Tian into custody in August after a run-in with an administrator at the hospital, where he had been given a tainted blood transfusion as a boy. Tian lost his temper and smashed office equipment after the official said there was nothing he could do about Tian's case and walked out of their meeting, Tian's father has said.
The 24-year-old has petitioned for compensation for years and has been outspoken in his advocacy for others who have contracted HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, through tainted blood supplies.

After ignoring or demonizing people with AIDS for much of the 1980s and '90s, China's authoritarian government has taken a more compassionate line on the disease and combating its spread in recent years. But people with AIDS still face difficulties in getting treatment and compensation, and authorities remain deeply suspicious of independent activists. Liang said Tian was physically weak at his court appearance on Friday and was still recovering from a serious cold. Tian is being held an unheated cell at the Shangcai County Detention Center along with a half-dozen other inmates with HIV or AIDS, the lawyer said.

Infected inmates are more common in Henan due to unregulated blood-buying schemes there in the mid-90s that contaminated blood supplies.

These two six year old girls (Alessia and Livia Schepp) were kidnapped by their father, Matthias Schepp, a week ago from their home in Switzerland. The twins mother and father had been separated for a couple of months and they had spent the weekend with their father and he was supposed to take them back to their mothers on the 30th of January, 2011. When the girls didn’t show up, their mother reported them missing.

A few days later, Schepp sent a postcard from Marseille in France to their mother saying he didn’t want to live without them. On Thursday night, he committed suicide by jumping under a train in Bari, Southern Italy.

The girls are still missing and police in France, Switzerland and Italy are looking for them and they have been reported missing in over 118 countries.

Still missing. Hope God is watching over them and their poor mom.

i pray for Bill, Tom, Georg, and Gustav.

I love you guys (Bill, Tom, Georg, & Gustav).
xoxo
Amen

This is from a while ago, but I feel the exact same way. Reminds me of a song (not by TH, but I love it.)
I light a candle, watch it burn, I feel the angels come and fill this room. When you're gone I miss you so much, I do the only thing I can do...I pray for you.
Dear God, please let our guys still be happy, healthy, and the best they can be. Amen.

Oh God, this makes me so sad :(
yesterday a little girl and a boy died in my country because they were playing carts and the man who organise them went to the bathroom and let there a guy who didn't know how to manage the cars, and then he did something and the carts gone wild and the little girl died there, and a couple hours later the boy died too, and there are other kids that are in intensive care.
I just want to ask God to help these kids, and that the other two kids rest in peace, and that something like this never happens again

A young man, 28yo, is now left to die in a mineshaft with severe head injuries since it's too difficult to get to him. The rescuers risk dying as well if they try more. They have a camera on him until he stops breathing and he has been giving the last rites.

Pray for him that it will be quick and for his poor family who will now have that place as his grave.

R.I.P to the (so far) 89 dead in Norway, and strength to their families.

560 teens were at Utöya, all in all 700 ppl.
The teens were politically active and worked for tolerance, justice and equality.
They were shot down by a right wing extremist.
They tried to hide in the forest and started swimming to the mainland but he got many of them.

I feel ill.

Families waited but was told not to call since the teens were hiding the phone could lead him to them. A few managed to call and text but that was it. He had a automatic weapon. Someone said run and they ran and he started shooting after them. At first they said 10ppl were dead but when they had caught him they could walk around and look for ppl on the island that's when they found many lying there dead. A policeman said he had never seen anything worse.

The prime minister was supposed to speak there earlier and the justice department was bombed earlier that day but he was never hurt. This is just....unbelievable.

Watching TV now and see families and friends reunited.

I hope this is allowed... And I hope you don't get mad for me saying this but...

I know that prayers are needed for millions that die and are starving and such all over the world, but there is one thing i pray for everyday, because everyone needs prayer, and that is...

Tokio Hotel.

Personally Specifically, Bill.

I know that this thread is full of non judgemental people, and I just want to say that I pray all the time that he will stay his pure, good natured, non-ho-bag, Moral, beautiful self.

Personally, I also pray that He and the rest of them Find God some day.

And it says no religious talk of course but im just STATING that, not wanting to really discuss or argue about it. Like i said, its personal.

I...

Wow.

This is harder to type than I thought.

I want you guys to help me prayer for my cousin's family.
My uncle - their dad - went missing two days ago.
He's supposedly in the "bush" which is what we call forest.

Nobody would just walk off and hide in the forest.
I don't want to think that he's dead
but I can't lie to myself and say that it's not a possibility.

I pray that he comes back safely,
I pray that nothing bad happened to him,
I pray that they can hold up without him.

Please God let this be it. I know it sounds selfish but please, I really need this. Please let me work in that museum and move out. It would be a dream come true, to gain that knowledge and experience, to finally be independent again. Lord enlighten me, guide me, give me strength and courage to follow this one through. Please God... let me out. Amen.
