Whispers. [Completed]

“Bill, not right now.” Tom said, brushing his twin brother off.

“Please Tom, I really want to go!” Bill pleaded, hopping up and down in front of his brother.

“Don’t you have enough crap? Move! I can’t see the TV!”

“God, you’re so frustrating. I’ll just go myself.”

“Yeah yeah, don’t have to much fun.” Tom said, waving his brother off and hearing the door shut. Then, as his heart began to race for no apparent reason, he heard a screech.

“BILL!” Tom yelled and dived out of his chair, falling as he struggled to open the door. “NEIN!”



“Tom…”

“Mom, I’m fine. I swear.”

“You haven’t eaten.”

“I just don’t have an appetite.”

“Tom…. Please.”

“I need to sleep, okay?” he said, getting up and kissing his mother on the head, walking to his bedroom.

Why did it hurt so much? Why did he feel the moment his brother died, even though he hadn’t even witnessed it? Why didn’t he just go with his brother? Maybe, just maybe it could have ended differently? Maybe Bill wouldn’t have walked out into the street to grab that kids hat, and maybe that driver wouldn’t have been looking for CDs instead of watching the road, and maybe his brother wouldn’t be dead. Cold, and dead.

“Arg.” Tom winced at the pain his arm suddenly felt. It had been like this since Bills’ death, that sudden jab of pain. Tom knew it was Bill… he knew it. “Where are you…”

Tom rolled over, a tear sliding gracefully over the bridge of his nose, and drifted into sleep.



“Tom… I need you.”

“Where are you?”

“I’m here Tom, please.”

“I can’t find you!”

“Tom.”

“SCREAM TO ME PLEASE BILL!”


Tom woke up, covered in a layer of cold sweat, his heart beat overwhelming his body.

“Can you feel your heart beat racing?” He heard, a whisper.

“Bill…” he whispered back. “Where are you?”

“Where are you…” Tom muttered.

“Tom, sweetie, are you awake?”

“Uh… yeah… nightmare.” He said, darting towards the door.

“My, you seem feverish.” she said, looking at his red complexion and feeling his forehead.

“No, I’m fine… I just need to go to the bathroom.”

“Tom… Maybe we should go talk to someone…”

“About what?”

“About this. About you not talking to me, or anyone for that matter. Tom, I know you are hurt… let it out, please. If not to me, at least your friends!”

“I don’t have friends. Bill was my best friend.” Tom said, fighting the rage that was slowly building inside him. She doesn’t understand he thought, she doesn’t get it. How could she?

“Tom, I’ve already made the appointment.”

“Whatever.” She shrugged off to the bathroom, gently closing the door. “F*ck.” he muttered, looking up at the mirror in front of him. He looked at his reflection, gazing at his own face. This wasn't him. This wasn't him at all. He was fun, and loving, and crazy, and wild, and happy. But now... now he was broken.

“Can’t you feel the pain.”

“What the f*ck do you want me to say to you!” He yelled.

“TOM!” His mother said, slamming open the bathroom door to find her son covered in blood and a broken mirror. “Tom…” She whispered, grabbing him into her chest and hugging him as he sobbed.

“They won’t stop, they won’t stop!”

“What won’t stop baby, what?!” she asked, pulling his face close to hers and looking at him, at his eyes, at the pain that swelled inside him.

“He isn’t dead, he isn’t mom! I can hear him!”

“Oh my baby…” She sobbed to herself as her son sobbed in her arms. This was pure torment.

A week later, after several attempt by his mother to start a conversation, Tom found himself sitting in the waiting room of a calm, quiet office.

“Tom Kaulitz?”

“Yo.” He said, raising his hand slightly, lazily lifting a few fingers, and letting the others dangle.

“Come on in.”

i would first scream "mommy! bills out to get me!" in a high pitched scream
and her thinking i was going crazy like i do everyday would say "ok tell him i said hi!"

then id crash into the wall...or the door...or my closet...or all 3 depending if its a tuesday.

“So, Tom…” The man behind the desk said. He was light skinned, with a very friendly aura. He had light hair, short, well oiled. Although his profession would age him around 50, he was in fact in his late 20s.

“What?” Tom asked, bouncing his legs up and down with impatience.

“We have an hour you know.” The man said. “I’m Guy, by the way.”

“What kind of name is that?” Tom muttered.

“What kind of name is Tom?”

“I asked first.” Tom replied simply.

“Fine, fine. My parents were…uhm…” he said, with hand gestures, as he searched for the proper word. ”Modern, if you will. Now, how about I ask a question.”

“Go for it.” Tom spoke leisurely.

“Why are you here? You don’t seem like you need to be.”

“I’m… my mom did this.” Tom replied.

“Okay. Now ask me a question.”

”What is this?” Tom asked, utterly confused. He had expected to get prodded with questions.

“What? Do you want me to ask some more?”

“No… no… It’s just, not what I expected.”

“What did you expect?”

“It’s my turn, remember?”

“Yes, yes. I remember.” Guy said, moving his hands signing Tom to continue.

“Why are you doing this?”

“Doing what?”

“This crap. Talking to insane people for a living. It can’t possibly be something you wanted to do as a kid.”

“Actually… It is. My mother died when I was little, I’ve gone to a ‘shrink’ since I was about 10. I always wanted to be able to help people like he helped me.”

“How sentimental.” Tom muttered.

“Why are you doing this?” Guy asked Tom.

“I already told you, it was my mom.” Tom said, brushing off the question simply.

“She must’ve had a reason.” Guy said matter of factly.

“My brother died.”

“Really?”

“It’s my turn. How did your mom die?”

“Car accident. How about your brother?”

“Same. What about your age?”

“I’m 27. And how about you Tom?”

“19. Married?”

“No. Girlfriend?”

“Nope.”

“Another question Tom?”

“I can’t think of one.”

“Do you mind if I go?”

“Feel free.” Tom replied, never once looking up off of the floor. Guy was intimidating, but welcoming at the same time.

“What about these voices?”

”What the **** are you talking about?” Tom replied, taking his gaze quickly from the floor to Guys' blue eyes. How did he know?

“You’re mom… she called, crying I think… something about voices.”

“That was nothing, I had a nightmare.” **** her, he thought.


“Our time's up anyway.”

“Fine.” Tom said, getting up and walking out the door.

“I’m looking forward to next week Tom.” Guy called, looking down at the papers in front of him and scribbling God knows what.

“Yeah.”

“How was it?” Toms’ mother asked as he walked in the door, throwing his keys on the counter.

”Fine.”

“What did the doctor say?”

“Nothing really… we just asked each other questions.”

“Well that’s nice. Dinner is almost ready, okay? Wash up.” She said, giving her son a loving smile and continuing her work.

“God.” He muttered, looking at the place where his old mirror had hung only a week earlier, but was now replaces with a new, smaller mirror. “What is going on with me.”

“Can you hear it?” the voice whispered softly.

“Yes I can f*cking here it. You know I can hear it.” Tom muttered, trying his best to keep it from his mom. How had she never heard the voice? How had she never heard this person, this voice talking?

“Can you feel his heartbeat?”

”He’s dead.” Tom mumbled bitterly.

“DINNER TOM!” He heard his mother call.

“Coming!”

Another week passed, with his mother trying to start conversations that Tom felt no need to speak of.

“How are you Tom?”

“Fine. How about you?” Tom asked, stepping into the room and making himself comfortable in front of Guys’ desk.

“You seem rather laid back today.”

“I got a good sleep last night.”

“You don’t sleep?”

“I do… I just have… these dreams… you know?” Tom asked, obviously taking back the words he has so foolishly spilled from his mouth without thinking.

“Dreams?”

“No, nothing. You never told me how you were.” Tom said, changing the subject.

“Oh, I’m fine.”

“That’s good.” Tom said.

“Tell me about your dreams Tom.”

“I’d rather not.” Tom said, lying down on the ever so comfortable couch.

“And why is that?” Guy asked.

“I just don’t want to.”

“Fine, I can respect that. Let’s play a game Tom.”

“A game?” Tom perked up at the word ‘game’.

“Word association.”

“Okay, I got it. Start.”

“Desk.” Guy.
“Chair.” Tom.
“Bed.” Guy.
“Sleep.” Tom.
“Dream.” Guy.
And Tom fell for it. “Voices.”

“So the voices talk in your dreams?”

“F*ck.” Tom muttered at his defeat.

“What do they say?” Guy repeated.

“Things.”

“Here.” Guy tossed a notebook, followed but a pen at Tom. “write.”

“Write what?”

“Whatever, just do it.”


So that’s what Tom did. He wrote. He wrote, and he wrote some more. It must’ve been an entire eternity, how much he wrote.

“Here.” Tom said, flinging the notebook back at Guy.

He opened it, and observed the beautiful letters placed on the page that Tom had provided for him. “Can you feel your heart beat racing?”

“They whisper….” Tom said, playing with his fingers, and thinking of his own insanity.

“Can you feel the pain in your chest?”

“I don’t even know what they mean.”

“Tom, I want you to write more. Journal everything, and bring it back.

“Yeah. Okay.” Tom said, getting up and walking out the door.

Another week, another failed attempt at conversation, a few more tears shed by mother and son, and a few more voices calling out his name.

“Tom, find me.”

“Where are you Bill, please!”

“Tom…”

“BILL!”

He awoke with a start, covered in the all to familiar sweat that had begun to accompany him whenever he slept. But he wasn’t too sure if he wanted to stop sleeping… because he had his brother when he slept.

He arose from his bed, went to the bathroom, and took a shower, still pondering the thought of sleep… sleep.

“Tom! It’s time for you to go honey!” his mom called, awakening him from his dream world.

“I’m going, I’m going.”

A quiet office, the low buzz of people who needed special help breathing. Calm, serenity.

“Good afternoon Tom.”

“Here.” Tom chunked the journal onto Guys’ desk. Guy opened it, slowly letting his eyes take in Toms’ writing, his thoughts, his dreams, his mind.

“You don’t think he’s dead, do you?”

“I’ve been thinking… you know… maybe, if I could just… sleep forever…” Tom said, looking out the window, completely disregarding Guys’ statement.

“Tom, when you talk about suicide, I’m required to take certain actions.”

“I don’t believe I ever said anything about suicide.” Tom muttered.

“Tell me about him, tell me about Bill.” Guy said, receiving Toms’ full attention now.

“He’s amazing.” Tom said, playing with his fingers.

“Was Tom… was.”

“Right... was.”

“Tell me some more about him, Tom.”

“It was my fault, you know? If I would’ve just went with him… He was so weird, wanted to shop all the time… I should’ve told him I’d go, if he’d just wait… then the car… it would’ve drove by, and nothing would’ve happened…”

“You can’t change things Tom.”

“I can fix things.”

“What is there to fix?” Guy asked, hoping to get something more from Tom.

“Everything.” Tom said, getting up and heading towards the door.

“We still have another 45 minutes Tom.”

“Go get some lunch then.” Tom said, walking out the door.

Tom found himself running to his Cadillac, hopping in, and darting home.

“Tom?” His mother asked, having not expected him for another 30 minutes or so.

“Yeah, ended early. Really tired.” Tom said, running up the stairs.

“Okay sweetie.”

Tom ran to his brothers’ room, and stopped. It was the same as it had been. Everything was where it was suppose to be, all the clothes were there, the stuffed animals, the posters, the CDs, everything.

“Bill.” Tom cried softly, tears streaming his face. “I need to find you.”

Tom began to rummage through Bills’ things, looking for something, anything that could help him. And then, as if someone had written it out specifically for him, he found it. A notebook.

“Bill.” Tom cried out, tears flooding his face, his hands, everywhere. “BILL!”

“TOM!” his mother called, as he heard her running up the steps. He had to hide the notebook. “Tom, why are you in here?”

“I just… I just wanted to see his stuff, ya’ know?” Tom said, having shoved the notebook underneath his brothers’ pillow, and grabbed a teddy bear, hugging it.

“I… Tom… I’ll just go.”

“Thanks mom…” Tom said, waiting for her to close the door before he darted for the notebook once more.

“Yes…” Tom muttered, if to anyone, it was himself. He had to admit it to himself. Bill wasn’t dead… was he? No, of course he was… Tom had seen him, seen it. Bills’ body… Bills’ blood covered body…

“Tom, dinner is ready.” He heard his mother call. He had just been sitting there, in Bills’ room… for hours. Hours and hours, just sitting, listening to the voice talking to him, reading his brothers’ writings, thinking… sleep.

OMG!!!! i feel like crying...ok so you know how they said that they have people who dont like them and throw stuff into the crowds of fans trying to hurt them or whatever...well how about i have a dream last night that they had just played a concert and then they were on their way back to the bus...and gustav droppe drum stick but didnt notice till he had gotten to the bus and Tom was lagging behind so he yelled to him to grab it...and when tom reached down and grabbed it as he stood up a person who hated the band shot him like 4 times...and then all you heard was himgasping for air and fall to the ground...and bill ran over to him...then i woke up...i was so scared it had happened for real...i think your story made me dream it since it is the last thing i read before i went to bed last night...i dont ever wanna dream of tom or bill or any of them dying!!! :cry: :cry:

“Do you have more writings for me?”

“Yes, I do.” Tom said, handing Guy Bills’ notebook, with pages marked. “Read those ones.”

“These… did you write them about your brother?”

“He’s talking to me.” Tom said.

“Right now?”

“No… through those, I know it. He’s telling me something.”

“Tom, be rational. He wrote these when he was alive.”

“It’s… It’s not right… I’m not crazy…” Tom said, biting his nails, but then stopping himself. Bill didn’t like it when people bit their nails.

“Tell me Tom, what do you want to be when you get older?”

“I don’t know. I don’t even care anymore.”

“You have to have something in mind.”

“I always… We always wanted to live with our music.”

“Really?”

“Yeah… Bill sang… really good, you know? He was talented. He could’ve made it far.”

”And what about you?”

“I played the guitar with him. We did a couple gigs at clubs… small ones. Nothing ever happened though.”

“That’s a shame.”

“Yeah…”

“Tell me more about Bill.”

“He… he talked a lot… and bugged the sh*t out of me.”

“What else?”

“He was so annoying… he did the weirdest things.” Tom said, laughing.

“Really?”

“Yeah… he use to kick me when we played together, ‘cause I wouldn’t look at him. And when I did, his face… it would light up, and he’d just keep singing.”

“He really loved you.”

“It’ll be a year.”

“A year?”

“Since the accident. It will be a year next Thursday.”

“You have an appointment that day.”

“I won’t make it.”

“Really? We can change it to Friday if you would like.”

Tom returned home, to find that his mother was gone. He walked into his brothers’ room again, and sat.

“Can you feel your heartbeat?”

“No.” Tom said, putting his hand to his chest.

”Can you feel his?”

“Where is he…” Tom asked himself, asked the voice.

“Open it.” The voice said. So Tom did just that, he opened his brothers’ notebook, and the first page he read depicted exactly what was on Toms’ mind.

Throughout the entire thing, Tom hadn’t cracked. No tear spilled from his eyes, not once, until he read the last line.

“You aren’t here to jump with me.” Tom said, bawling into his hands, rocking back and forth.



“Save me Tom.”

“Bill, tell me where I can find you!”

“Help me.”

“BILL!”



He awoke with a start once more, finding himself in his brothers’ bedroom. He could hear his mother downstairs. He could hear the tapping of her knife chopping away at God knows what. Chopping. Chopping. Chopping. Pause. Water running, and then continuing to chop. Chop. Chop. Chop.

“It’s so annoying.” Tom muttered with the beat of the persistent chopping. Beats. Beats… Music. “They’re songs…”

“Can you hear him?”

“Is he singing?”

“Can you feel your pulse?”

Tom got up and ran to his room, fumbling for the guitar he hadn’t touched since Bills’ death. After he had found it, he sat. He sat and waited… waited for what exactly? For the music to flood his body? For everything to start making sense? He wasn’t exactly sure.

“Come on Bill… help me find you.”

“What is it?” Guy asked, in utter confusion.

“I need you to help me…” Tom said, pacing the room.

“With what?”

“I just want to talk to you… let’s play another game or something.”

“Fine, fine… How about the so but game? I say a sentence with so, you with but. Understand?”

“Yeah. Go.”

“So there was this young man.”
”But he was alone.”
“So he made a friend.”
“But it was already too late.”

“Too late for what Tom?”

“So the boy began to think.” Tom said, continuing the game on his own.
“But his thoughts weren’t healthy.”

“But he never told anyone his thoughts.”

“Let’s play something else.” Tom said.

“I don’t know any more games Tom.”

“Why aren’t you married Guy?” Tom asked.

“I… I can’t seem to find someone I care that much about.”

”Really?”

“I use to have a lot… But then… No one could ever mean as much as Bill.”

“Don’t you think he’d want you to be happy?”

“You’re right… he would.” Tom said, walking out the door.

“Wait, Tom!”

“Thanks!” Tom said, waving to Guy and leaving the building.

“Sorry mom, I just wanted to get some air.” Tom said, kissing his mother on the cheek.

“You know… I know it’s going to be hard for you… We don’t have to go if you don’t want too…” she said, looking up at her son, with his delicate face, and chocolate eyes.

“I won’t be able too. Just go by yourself, okay?” Tom said, referring to the anniversary of his brothers’ death. 3 more days.

His cell phone rang as he sat on his bed, thinking of sleep. Sleep.

“Tom… this is Guy… I was just… would you come in again?” Toms’ phone said to him.

“I hate it there. I’m going to the park.” Tom said, hanging up the phone.


“Tom?” Guy asked, approaching the young man sitting on the bench.”

“What did you want?”

“Just to talk.” Guy relied, sitting down next to Tom. “How are you?”

“I’m fine. Better.”

“Really? So you will come to this weeks appointment?”

“No… I can’t. I have things to do.”

“Like?”

“Someone is being nosy.” Tom replied, getting up.

“Tom, talk to me. None of this is on record anymore, I’m just a person.”

“Really now? How about I tell you something my brother wrote. 'Spring Nicht'. 'Don’t Jump'. What do you make of that?”

“They are just words Tom, nothing more."

“But why that? Why ‘Don’t Jump.’ Why not… why not something else. And why did I find this,” He pulled out Bills’ notebook from inside his jacket, causing Guy to give him a strange look. “…After he died. After these… these thoughts, voices started flooding my head. Why didn’t he show them to me before?” Tom said, repeatedly gesturing to his head.

“Things just happen that way Tom.” Guy said.

“Everything happens for a reason.” Tom replied simply, walking away from Guy, who was sitting, dumbfounded, on the park bench. Why did Tom always get to him? He was just another person… why did he always make Guy think quickly for words.

“Are you coming?” Tom asked, poking Guy on the top of the head.

“Where?”

“I want to show you something.” Tom replied, turning back around.

Guy, despite the fact that it didn’t seem logical, climbed his way into Toms’ Cadillac, and the two set out.

“Naw, they just built this recently. It use to be a vacant lot, the kids would play ball or whatever. Then up goes this.”

“Why are you trying to shrink me again? You’re just a guy, remember Guy?” Tom played on his words.

“Right, just a guy.” He responded, lost in his thoughts. Tom was beginning to play with his head… he didn’t like it.

“Let’s just say, hypothetically, that you weren’t a shrink at all. What would you say to everything, as a friend?” Tom said, out of nowhere.

“I would say you need to talk to a shrink.”

“Don’t be a smart *ss.

“Fine. I would say that you should try your best to be happy.”

“Happiness. You did it again Guy!” Tom said, darting back into the building.

“What did I do!?” Guy called out to Tom, then remembering Tom was his ride. “TOM! WAIT FOR ME!” Guy shouted, darting after Tom.

“God, it took you long enough.” Tom muttered, opening the car door.

“You were waiting?” Guy said, feeling foolish for running.

“Yeah, get in.” Tom said, waiting for Guy, who was lost.

“Yeah, okay.” Guy said, climbing into the car as his phone rang. “Hello? Yes, I’ll be home soon. Love you too.” He said, hanging up the phone.

“I thought you weren’t married.”

“I’m not…” Guy said.

“Then who was that?”

”My best friend.”

“You live with her?”

“Yeah, we are roommates.”

“That’s nice.”

“Yes, it is. Would you like to meet her?” Guy asked, for no apparent reason.

“Yeah, I guess.” Tom replied, asking Guy for directions, and pulling up to a rather cozy looking home.

“Nice.” Tom muttered.

“Quiet Nadine, he isn’t like that.”

“What’s going on now?” Tom asked, in confusion.

“Uh… I meant to tell you, it just didn’t seem relevant.”

“So… you bring him home, and he doesn’t even know?” Nadine said, putting her hands on her hips and shaking her head in disagreement.

”I’m gay Tom.” Guy said bluntly, waiting for the worst.

“So that’s why you aren’t married.” Tom said, planting himself of Guys’ sofa.

“Uh… yeah.” Guy laughed. He had expected Tom to flip, or do something.

“So Tom, who are you exactly?” Nadine asked, sitting next to Tom. She was a pleasantly plump woman, with blonde hair, and a rather large chest area.

“I’m just a person.” Tom responded simply.

“Mysterious…” Nadine replied, getting up and walking to the kitchen area. “Do you want anything to drink?”

“No, I’m fine. I need to be getting home anyway.” Tom replied, getting up and heading towards the door. “I’ll see you around Guy, nice meeting you Nadine.” Tom smirked, walking out the door.

“He’s different.” Nadine said to Guy, handing him a drink.

“Very different.” Guy muttered, his thoughts racing.


“Shut up.” Tom muttered to the voices. They wouldn’t leave him alone. He had to get out of Guys' home, before he shouted at the top of his lungs for them to be quiet. “Happiness.”

Guys’ face flooded Toms’ mind. Guys’ words followed. “Happiness.”

“I can only be happy with him.” Tom muttered, pulling into his own homes driveway. He went to his brothers’ room once more, and sat in the corner, pulling out the notebook from inside his jacket, flipping through pages. Nothing. No more signs, no more hints, nothing. “Why did you leave me like this.” Tom muttered, pulling his knees to his chest, and crying, basking in his own misery.

“Can you feel your pulse?” the voice called out to Tom.

“Yes…” Tom said, in confusion. It wasn’t like he was dead, he was breathing perfectly fine. He was only dead on the inside.

“Can you hear his heartbeat racing?”

“Whose?” Tom said, drifting into sleep once more.

“Tom. Don’t leave me here alone.”

“I’m trying to find you Bill!”

“I need you Tom.”

“Bill, please, I can’t live without you!”


Blood. The blood in his head woke him up. It was rushing, rushing throughout his entire body, as loud as a million cymbals playing at once.

“Mom, do we have any pain killers?” He said, walking into the kitchen, scratching the back of his head and looking down.

“You’re bleeding.” He heard… but it wasn’t his mother.

“What are you talking about?” He said, looking up to find Bill… but Tom didn’t react… he was in utter shock.

“You’re eyes…” Bill gasped, horror struck. “You’re crying… you’re crying blood.” He crashed to the floor.

“BILL!” He shouted, feeling his face, and looking at his hands. Blood.

“Wake up Tom.” His mother said, shaking him awake.

“What?” Tom said with a start.

“You fell asleep in here again… come on.”

“Mom… I’m sorry…” He said, not moving from his position against the wall.

“For what sweetie?”

“For taking Bill away from you.”

“Tom… I… it wasn’t your fault. And, despite how bad it hurts me… He was you’re twin, and I know he meant more to you than anyone. Please Tom, please…” His mother said. She didn’t want the words to come out of her mouth. ‘He was more important to you than to me.’ She knew it was true. She loved both her sons more than anyone in the world, but the bond Tom and Bill shared… It was love. They were soul mates, and she knew it. The fear had slowly been eating at her. How could one soul live without the other, if they were soul mates?

“You’re wasting away.” The voice said to Tom.

“I know… one more day Bill, just one…” Tom muttered as he pulled his clothes on.

“Where are you going Tom?” His mother asked from in front of the TV.

“Out. I need some air.” He said, patting her head and walking out the door.

“I love you!” She called.

“I love you too!” Tom called out to his mother, shutting the door and pacing down the street. Where did he intend to go? He had a little short of 24 hours to waste. He could do anything really… it didn’t matter anymore.

“Tom!” He heard from a distance.

“Guy?”

“Indeed. What are you doing?”

“I was just… walking around. What are you doing here?” Tom replied, setting a walking pace next to Guy.

“Nothing really. Walking.”

He was engulfed with pain. Guy. Why did he have to show up, why now? Tom had planned on calling Guy, maybe, but that was it. He didn’t want to see his face again.

“How are you Tom?” Guy asked, walking leisurely along the sidewalk next to Tom.

“I’m fine.” Tom replied. “How are you?”

“Fine… just clearing my head.”

“So Mr. Shrink has issues?” Tom remarked.

“Everyone has issues Tom.”

“What’s on your mind?”

“Do you honestly care?”

“I can’t say that I do.” Tom smirked at Guy.

“It’s nothing.” Guy responded, smiling at Tom.

“My brother… I found another one of his writings…”

“Would you mind if I read it?”

“I wouldn’t have brought it up if I didn’t want you too.” Tom said, pulling the journal from his jacket.

“Do you carry that with you everywhere?”

“Yeah.” Tom said, flipping the notebook to a certain page, and handing it to Guy.

“You know they are just words Tom.” Guy said, handing the notebook back to Tom.

”You don’t honestly believe that. I know you don’t. I can read you like an open book.” Tom said. “You know something is strange.”

“Tom… I care about you, whole heartedly, and it hurts me to see you so damaged inside.”

“Really, because I doubt that. I’m another patient that you don’t want to loose Guy, you know it as well as I.”

“If you were just another patient, do you honestly think I’d be here right now? I can’t even… I can’t f*cking think straight anymore… you’re starting to haunt my thoughts, and I can’t… sh*t…” Guy muttered. He has given himself away, regretfully.

“…What?” Tom asked, confused. The voices where coming back.

“Can you hear his voice?”
“Can you feel your heartbeat racing?”
“Can you feel your blood rushing?”
“Can you see the fear in his face?”

“******.” Tom muttered, shaking his head in a desperate attempt to be rid of the voices. “I have to go.”
