Tragically it's an old hair colour now. I went to boring old black about 8 months ago. The old one was Herbal Essences 'Paint the Town', #44, if you want to give it a try. :)

My brother just got his spinal (ehh its in the back) tattoo removed! ^-^ And the one on his shoulder of the Egyptian scarab beetle (tribal). And the one of his back was a famous chinese proverb but I forgot what it was but its like when someone hits you, dont fight back and stand your ground.

(Tattoo's are never to be brought up in conversations in the house. :roll: My dad was so ****** when he found out my brother go tattoo's. So best to wait till I reach adult hood and never mention my plan to my family >.>; )

LOVE MUSIC. and of course it's in Japanese kanji cuz what's cooler than music AND Japan? NOTHING. that's what. well, maybe Japanese music is haha! so, logically, I had to combine the two and put it on my body permanently at 16 ahaha :laugh:


and imma get cherry blossoms ALL down the middle/winding down my back starting right above the tatt I have and kinda in an S shape hopefully soon... maybe for my 19th birthday in September? who knows. not sure if I wanna add any color like a hint of pink or not... I personally think you gotta be careful with color tattoos cuz they can end up looking really tacky really quickly and just simple black ones are 'classier'. that's just how I think though haha :laugh: but I have seen pics of flower tattoos where they had just a HINT of pink... and it looked really cute and not tacky at all. and I suppose pink would fade rather well even if I didn't like it...

but fo sho it'll be SWEET and prettyyyy. trust me :cool:

When me and my best friend turn 18, we are getting a matching cluster of stars on the back of our shoulders. Our birthdays are 6 days apart so, yeah. xD

And on the side of my wrist I'm getting 3 stars (a big one and two little ones) and under them it's going to say "Lucky Stars".

I also want small things like a peace sign, a ying-yang, this funky music note thing (EDIT: The link in the post above, actually. haha), and the words "Rock'n'Roll".

I got mine on my 18th b-day, it was easier getting my dad to let me have a tattoo then to let me get any of my piercings, but both my parents have several tattooes themselves so they were totally fine with mine.

I will never get Chinese/Japanese symbols tattooed.
First, because everybody has them nowadays. It's not very original.

And mainly because I don't speak those languages, and I will never get a tattoo in another language than English and French. Too many translation mistakes, I'd be too scared it meant something completely different and possibly bad.

I have several tattoos, all of them somehow related to my favorite bands.

I want a heart, the word musique and the peace symbol on my right wrist. Those are some of the most important things in life to me.

When I graduate highschool next year im getting the Japanese Kanji for 'strength' behind my left ear. It basically symbolizes me as a person and the english spelling of it is my actual birth name.

My grandma's hairdresser (who's an old lady) has a beautiful flower tattooed on her wrist with vines & colors & all sorts of awesome. I had never seen a tattoo on an old lady before, but it looked amazing on her :)

And as far as taking pain killers, its recommended that you take ibuprofen before you go, it helps with the swelling and pain. It worked for me when I got mine done.

It's not really a gang symbol, it's just the symbol that represents nor cal. I know a lot of people around here that have it. It's more regional pride than gang related.

Question for girls with tattoos: I got my 1st tattoo about a month ago but am unhappy with the way it looks. Its kinda faded and fuzzy and is missing a spot in the heart. And it's not like this is a garage tattoo, I got it at one of the most respected shops in the metroplex and I paid the shop minimum of $60. A girl in my English class showed me her tattoo today and it looks loads better than mine. I asked her where she got it and she gave me the name of the shop. So my question is should I go back to my original shop for a touch up or just forget them and go to hers?

Question for girls with tattoos: I got my 1st tattoo about a month ago but am unhappy with the way it looks. Its kinda faded and fuzzy and is missing a spot in the heart. And it's not like this is a garage tattoo, I got it at one of the most respected shops in the metroplex and I paid the shop minimum of $60. A girl in my English class showed me her tattoo today and it looks loads better than mine. I asked her where she got it and she gave me the name of the shop. So my question is should I go back to my original shop for a touch up or just forget them and go to hers?

I'd say go to the original shop; you might come to an agreement.
If you go to another shop, you'll sure have to pay the minimum price.
On my opinion, the best would be to wait until you get another tattoo.

The color of my star was faded and I went to a different store to fix it. The guy said it'd cost me 50€ (the minimum price) but if I had it done the day I got another tattoo, it'd cost me just 10€ added to the price of the other tattoo.

By the way, I'm getting my new tattoo next week =D

Im having a celtic cross on the back of my neck (personal reasons, not religous) and IX the roman sign for 9 (personal reasons again) and mayyyybe Jimmy sullivan's deathbat (my fav band's drummer who past away). i never plan on having japanese, Chinese (or anyother asian lettering) or stars tattooed on my body as everyone has them, no offence :)

And yeah I always though Japanese/Chinese symbol tattoos were really tacky. But then I came across mine and I knew it was perfect for me. I thought about it a year before I got it, thats my rule for myself. If I still like an idea after a year its ok to get. I had my stars done in January 2009 I think. The next time I went to the tattoo store, three people came in and asked for a star in less than half an hour. Haha.

It's a charm anklet with four charms.
Charm 1 is a "V" because it's my mom's first initial.
Charm 2 is the symbol for Pisces because it's my mom's astrological sign.
Charms 3 and 4 are girls that represent my sister and I. Later she plans to fill in their triangle bodies with the colour of our birth stones.

I've decided on what words I'd get if I ever got a tattoo. I want the words, "Avada Kedavra". It's the killing curse from Harry Potter. I know that it's just a book, but it's so much more to me. And I've always liked the dark side of it more. I'd get a dark mark but they're too easily recognised, and a lot of people have them.

If I go it, I'd get it on my side, on my ribs. Like that picture I posted a while back :D

reputable shops wont tattoo you until your 18 anyways. your body hasn't finished growing until then.

the key idea is cool, and like people said, you could just get it smaller. don't get it too small though ;)

In my country they're not so strict, I got my first tattoo while I was still on school and I didn't need permission from my parents, however the last one I got done here I had to sign a lot of paperwork regarding health issues and stuff, plus they asked for a photo ID and took a copy of it. They told me if a minor wanted to tattoo a parent must not only grant permission but he/she must accompany the kid.

It's too visible - my uni and future career choices aren't too keen on really obvious tattoos. =/

I'd definitely shop around and check out a few tattoo parlours when I get mine done in a few years. I want it done properly because I'd rather not hae to get it removed and redone. Also, health risks and hygeine etc as well.
