Answers to some frequently asked questions:

-We don't know the boys' e-mail addresses.

-Their official Myspace page is http://www.myspace.com/tokiohotel.

-.jpg, .gif, and .png are different types of images.

Posting Images

Images can only be posted if they are uploaded somewhere online first. I happen to have a photobucket account, so this walkthrough will be working with photobucket. The steps are basically the same for any image hosting website, though.

Step One

Upload the image by selecting 'Browse' to search your computer for the image you want.

Step Two

Select the image you wish to upload.

Step Three

Upload that bad boy!

Step Four

In the post window, click the 'Img' button at the top of the page.


And you will get this:

Step Five

Copy the URL of the image that you want. (I do realize this isn't the same photo uploaded above, but it all works the same)

Step Six

Paste the newly copied link between the bracketed img tags. It will look like this.

Step Seven

Repeat as necessary to get all the images you want in your post. Submit your post an enjoy the glory you have given us all!

Image Links

Want a picture to link to a website? Here's how to do it!

Step One

We've already covered how to upload images and make image posts, so we'll skip over that.

First, click the URL button at the top of the page.


And you get this:

Step Two

Between the URL brackets, hit the Img button.



And you'll have this:

Step Three

Copy and paste in your URL and image link in the proper places. It will look like this:


And this will be your end result!



Posting Avatars

Wanting a nifty avatar, but just can't seem to get it to work? Here's how you do it!

Step One

Upload avatar.

Step Two

Copy link to avatar image and paste into 'link offsite' box.

OR

Upload one from you computer using the 'Browse' button.

OR

Paste the URL of your image into the 'Upload from URL' box.

Step Three

Type in the size dimensions of your image in the 'Avatar Dimensions' boxes.

Not sure on the size?

Right click the image and select 'properties'. It's dimensions will be listed under 'dimensions'.

And now you have an avatar!

On-Hold PMs

Have new PMs that you can't get to because they're on hold? Here's how to get em!

Step One

Go to your inbox, delete a few old messages.

Step Two

Click 'release on hold messages'.

And that's it!

Taking a Screen Shot

We've been seeing this one a lot, lately, so here's how to take a screen shot!

Step One

Select the screen you wish to take a sceen shot of.

Step Two

Look at your keyboard and find the 'print screen' button.


Usually it will have the words 'Print Screen' or 'Prnt Scrn' on it.

Press this button.

Step Three

Open your favorite drawing program, open a new work surface, and select 'paste'. Your image should show up in the new image file.

Like so:

Resize the image to something usable. Mine is 1440x900, which I think is just a bit too big to just send willy nilly. You DON'T have to, though.

Step Five

Save the image.

*note: TH contests call for jpgs. If you're submitting to one of those, make sure you save it the proper format!*

And you're done! Now you can use your new screenshot skills to show off amusing conversations, enter contests, or participate in 'Show off your desktop' memes.
